rude pharmacist
My boyfriend has been complaining of symptoms that over the counter medicines do not seem to help. A friend of ours who mentioned he had the same symptoms suggested he get Claritin from the pharmacist because the over the counter stuff wasn't working. He approached the pharmacist who asked for his symptoms (which is commendable). Unfortunately, my boyfriend was told "hit the f*cking road". In those words. We could understand if he wasn't comfortable selling the product to him for some reason, but to say it like that? That's just horribly rude. We walked out of there feeling so low, it was disgusting. We do not do drugs, don't want to do drugs, he was just looking for some relief and to be treated like that is just ignorant. There were other ways to say it, he didn't have to be so damn rude.
He was wearing jeans and a Tshirt with a flannel-type jacket, so I guess looks could be a possibility, but the pharmacist could have said something like "I'm sorry, I don't think that would help you" or something like that. He didn't have to use the words or tone he did. He just said "hit the ###ing road" and even did the whole "move along" motion with his thumb.
Our friend just called it Claritin, so that's what we went with. You're probably right.
He was using over the counter Claritin, but it wasn't working. The friend who suggested he try the behind-the-counter Claritin said he had the same symptoms and it worked for him. I'm just saying if the pharmacist didn't want to sell it to him, that is fine, but he didn't have to be so rude.

rain coats
Dear Faded Glory,
I think that your clothing is very nice. However, I was recently at wal-mart and found a jacket that you have out right now. This jacket is pink, white and black plaid and black and white plaid. Thay are beautiful but have no hoods. They appear to be a dress/rain coat. To make these more practical they should have removable hoods. I would love to have one but without a hood I will not purchase one. What is the purpose of a rain coat that you need to have an umbrella with. Please take this into consideration. I really think you guys make great clothing. This coat would be a far better selling product with a hood, and much more practical.
Thank you, Shari L. Ewing

couldnt use card after activation
This card was purchased on 3/26/11 for a bill payment, an internet bill to be exact. I made it home to activate the card, and it was basically downhill from there. Once it was activated I called the internet co. to give them my card number and they told me it wasn't approved. They tried a few times. I then called the cards customer service line to inform them and they told me the card was ok. I literally went back and forth calling both at least four times. That can be very frustrating when u have to constantly use the keypad to enter a lot of info. I finally found out during my 5th call to the cards customer service that u can't pay bills with the temp card. Sooo upsetting seeing as how my bill was due the next day, and the original wouldn't come n the mail til about a week later. I was told that I should have read the terms and conditions. So I cancelled of course and was also told I would receive a refund in 7days of cancelling... LIARS. They didn't actually mail the refund til 4days after the call, and had the nerve to send me the real debit card anway...

pricing and rude employees
Went to Walmart today to get an oil change, some items for my vacation and just in general spend my weekly $150 - $200 there since there is no where to shop in our town except WalMart. I walked by a row of televisions priced at clearance. One television stood out as its price was $110.00 marked down from $1400. I automatically assumed something was wrong with it but I thought if it worked at all it would be good for my daughter to play the Wii on. I stopped an employee who rudely told me it was "clerical error". I asked her to get the manager of the department who came back, looked at the tag and said, "that is a mistake, I just priced those this morning, haven't you ever made a mistake? He looked like he was just ready to take me on or something. Looking at me like he sees me everyday and I always come to him trying to find his "boo boo's and get something for nothing. I am 47 years old and although I hate WALMART and everything it stands for I have never made a formal complaint. I asked the "whoever" guy if he could tell me his policy for mistakes on pricing he says..oh its something like $20 off ..I don't know as he ripped off the clearance tag. I said well could you go find out please he left, for three minutes returned with the correct pricing and said "hey it is $3.00 you get $3.00 off for incorrect pricing." He was a complete jerk. I paid for my items, picked up my vehicle and left the store. I went to my car and called the store manager who offered me $100 off. I told him I wasn't satisfied with that answer and asked him to call me back later in the afternoon when he found out the correct policy. Then I called the corporate office and reported my complaint. A regional marketing person returned my call and told me again about the $100.00 offer. She said and Ma'am..did they show you the tag it had an additional very light zero on it. Well, needless to say that totally ended any good communication I would have again with a representative from WalMart. A very light zero... WHATEVER! I have a picture of the tag on my phone. It clearly said $110 but even more insulting to me was the fact the store was disregarding the rudeness of the employee and trying to buy me off with $100. I could have bought 4 of the $1400 televisions that day if I needed them. I only wanted a deal..a damaged deal that was clearly marked at $110.00 What a bunch of liers. We know who makes those televisions and everything else in the stores and most of the time it is not American workers. Walmart gets there items for pennies on the dollar yet they would rather insult a long time customer who spends $10, 000 - 15, 000 a year at their stores than admit they made a mistake. LIERS LIERS LIERS. I will do everything within my power to not spend another penny at that store for the rest of my life and I will encourage everyone I know (and meet) to do the same thing. YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT!
"as much as they charge for the majority of their products"
...Really?! People do make mistakes. $100 off is very generous.
as much as they charge for the majority of their products, well they should have plenty of money to hire people that are competent enough to do the job CORRECTLY in the first place . yeah they should honor the mistake ..maybe then they'll stop hiring dumb ### people to do such an easy job as placeing tags on products.
Why don't you show us the picture you have on your phone of the tag ?
shoping carts
shoping carts in the cort where i live left in driveways and all over the place have talked to personel at the store they did nothing called cops and the said the store has to say something and they will not so the carts are still left all over the cort i'm diabled and these carts are not safe for me or anyone who lives here please talk to store personel and ask them to get with the police and have the person fined for this please thank you harold chilson
First off, have you heard of PUNCTUATION? It comes in handy when you are posting a comment. That way ppl dont run out of breath, and are able to comprehend what you have said while trying to read your stupid complaint. It's not Wal Mart's fault that there are carts in your COURT (not "cort"). It's the damn theives that steal them and then abandon them in your court.
shopping basket
This isn't really a horrible complaint, but it's one of inconvenience if nothing else. The Walmart in my hometown does not provide any shopping baskets. If they do, they are hidden. This is very inconvenient for those who us who aren't shopping for a large amount of items. I don't feel like having to push a big shopping buggy around for just a few items that would fit just fine in a shopping basket. I realize this is probably a ploy by the company to get people to purchase more items during their visit, because hey, they have the room in the buggy. But it's extremely inconvenient for me. All other stores I shop at have baskets, Walmart should as well.
How are they walking out of the store with them when there should be a Walmart greeter checking their bags?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I do not believe people are stealing Wal Mart baskets! In my town there are 3 Wal Marts, a Target, 2 Meijers, and 10-12 other big grocers. The Wal Mart stores are the only ones with no baskets. Do thieves steal only from Wal Mart stores? NO! This is an old retailers' trick to force people into using larger carts; the theory being bigger carts equals more purchases. This is why Wal Mart has only one giant size shopping cart whereas other stores have large and small plus hand baskets. Wal Mart simply does not want your business if you are only buying enough to fill up a hand basket.
There are three methods to prevent theft of baskets: 1. point of purchase confiscation; 2. greeter confiscation; 3. anti theft tags which are so cheap even antacid tablets have them! Wal Mart uses none of these methods while other stores use a combination. The Target store in my town has had the same dirty red baskets for 20 years; their check out clerks confiscate them at the registers.
I remember when my store had 1000 new baskets. We now have 12. Like Lisa said, people steal them
That's why the Winona Walmart has tags in the baskets that will set off the door alarms. You cannot leave the store with the baskets at all, so they are seated just past the door security alarms, normally, not out in the shopping cart area.
People probably think they make good toy baskets. I mean, why buy one when you can walk out of the store with a store basket.
I work for walmart-and people keep stealing the shopping baskets! What for, I don't know. But every time we order any, within weeks, we are right back down to only 2 or 3. So, management only orders them about once a year. They can't replace them as fast as they go away-they cost a lot more than you think. Thanks, Lisa
Check WalMarts website and see if they have an address or maybe a feedback area that you can make the suggestion for baskets. Maybe send a letter of suggestion to the corporate office. May not do any good but you'll never know if you don't at least try. Good luck.
vision center rudeness
I entered Wal-Mart Vision center today to make an appointment. They are on my list of providers. The rude witch at the counter said I had to call my provider and get my member ID number and the administrator of the policy. I knew the administrator because I was in there 2 weeks prior buying glasses for my child. They said they couldn't access the optical...

Friendly reminder-
Walmart lost my business four years ago when I attempted to return a Sony desk model stereo. It developed an electronic intermittent problem. I had the receipts, cancelled check and provided a check statement where they got paid. It had less than 60 - 70 hours of use. The Odessa, Texas store manager at the time wouldn't do the right thing. He said it was greater than 12 months old (it was 14 months). He brushed off Walmat's responsibility by saying it was Sony, not Walmart that made the defective unit. I'm proud to note Walmart has lost alot of revenue to other retailers over the last four years. I still have the unit in my storage building. I keep it as a reminder of their impersonal policies. I also like the insurance scam Walmart management was running on their older employees. Company mamangement provided health screening for the older employees (so far, sounds good), then they would take out life insurance on the sicker employees with themselves as the beneficiery. Otherwise, they were betting on these poor soles expiring sooner than later. Not a surprise, I also saw Walmart lost the gender descrimination lawsuit argued in the Supreme Court today. I haven't forgotten either, Walmart still owes me a Sony desk top stereo.
wedding items alway missing on shelf
My is name Gwendolyn Avant of Oxford, N.C. . I have been a customer of Walmart for a long time. I have depend on walmart for picking up cake boxes and other items as well. Oxford area super walmart is alway out of single bottle of cake icing colors, boxes for cakes, cakes boards. I would be please if the these items could be place back on the shelf. Thank you
long lines
I am finally so sick and tired of walking into walmart and ready to purchase a small basket full of products when I am ready to check out, out of 27 lanes, there are two open with at least 6 people with full carts. Why do they do this!
I have on more than one occasion, left my basket in the middle of the isle, milk and all, and left the store. I go into walmart when I need things that are more than just milk. What happened to all the self check outs?
I refuse to shop at another walmart. Grocery stores, dollar stores, and many others are closer anyway and in the long run, will save me on gas.
Boyotting walmart!

I cannot agree more. i used to ENJOY shopping at Walmart, but they have been going downhill for the last 5 yrs or so. I just got home from shopping at a Walmart in Grand Prairie, TX. The store was very busy, lots of people checking out, but only 4 check out lanes open. I had to wait about 25 minutes to check out. Why does Walmart operate like this? Do they simply not want our business? Is it a hint for Americans to shop elsewhere? If Walmart doesn't get their act together soon, folks are going to get fed up, and Walmart will turn into the next Sears. Also, Walmart used to sell groceries at a much cheaper price than its competitors, but that is no longer the case. I still might end up paying a dollar or two more at a conventional grocery store, but paying a buck for descent customer service and open checkout lines is more than worth it!
I actually find different Wal-Marts have differences in pricing. The Wal-Mart near my parents house really has little to no price difference compared to Cub Foods, but the Wal-Mart near my home saves me at least $50 a month shopping there.
I don't know where you guys are, but up here in Canada I really don't find a difference in pricing. Yeah, it might be like 50 cents on some items, but man I'll just take my money elsewhere like you suggested. For the extra 5 dollars it will cost me to shop somewhere else, I'll spend the money. My time is worth more than that.
Our Wal-Mart has self checkouts, people are just too slow and stupid to make them useful.
So true, it's not just Wal-Mart up here that does that too. Canadian Tire, Zellars, and most of the big box stores up here. Home Depot and Lowes at least still have the self checkouts. I also hate most of the others stores for other reasons.
closed my card account
I got walmart credit card back couple years ago. Not long after I got it, I was thrown from horse and broke my back. I got late on payments. I was on some really strong drugs and just forgot to pay on time. They closed the account so fast when I payed it off, it was unreal. It looks like all the money they made on fees they would have let me keep it. Oh well I guess that is part of walmart. Just like the stores, everytime you go in one its a little worse (they are the only store around were I live.) The employes are awful.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Most credit card companies will close your delinquent account once it is paid off. Often times before. If you aren't going to pay for what you charge, why would you think they would continue to extend credit to you? More than likely, once you stopped paying, your credit score dropped below what their lender thought was acceptable thereby prompting them to close your account. They offer credit insurance for a reason. Accidents happen, however, don't blame the credit card company or the store if they no longer wish to continue your credit after non-payment. Be thankful a closed account is all that happened.
crappy sub
I have never seen any thing like it. Order a foot long black forest ham sub with olives and pepper jack cheese. They put four losy little olives on it. When I ask for a few more he just ignored me. Never eat there again.

safety issue with carts
I have emailed corporate about the following issue and had numerous conversations on the phone with the store manager. I have a large family. I utilize Walmart's blue multi-passenger carts for my three youngest children. Walmart on AppleGlen Blvd in Fort Wayne, IN has these carts. The two seats for my toddlers are supposed to have safety buckles and straps. ALL of the carts buckles and straps are in need of repair. Not a single one is safe for my children to ride in. My husband and I are forced to push two carts around the store to do our grocery shopping and that is a large inconvenience. When I spoke with the store manager, he assured me the issue would be resolved and the straps and buckles would be replaced within two weeks. This conversation took place before Christmas 2010. It's now almost the end of March and they are still broken. When I emailed corporate, they forwarded my email to the store manager and nothing was done. I would spend over $1500 a month on food, clothing, diapers, etc at Walmart. I have stopped shopping at Walmart and now shop at Meijer. I am VERY disappointed in Walmart and the way they do business.
No, I understand what you are saying cookies. Thus the reason I stopped shopping there. I refuse to put my children in unsafe carts. I guess I don't get why it's so hard for them to keep the straps maintained. That's the only place I have that problem with. Other places I shop are fine. People commented about me shopping there and that it is a discount store and all...but where else could I go to shop? The only other option is Meijer for groceries or Kroger/Scotts. We don't have any other stores here. So, I went to Meijer.
Thanks I like cookies 2. There are times I get to shop alone too. I would rather shop alone but there are plenty of times I can't. Parents should def have the sense to not use them and I agree, when a child gets hurt, there will be a lawsuit and it won't matter that the parent neglected to put their child/children in a safe cart.
I have been the lonely parent flying solo going into the store with my 2 toddlers and my infant. My husband can't come with me all the time to the store for grocery shopping. The particular day I mentioned in my complaint, yes he was there with me. But, most of the time it is just me. I understand I chose to have my children and I have to deal with it whatever way possible. I see the point you make. I understand you feel it isn't a valid complaint. I don't mean to offend anyone. It's not just ALL the blue carts are broken, I go through numerous regular carts as well, trying to find one with working safety straps. I never blamed the employees in my compliant. If I implied that, it wasn't my intention. I guess maybe I should take the greeter's advice. "Don't expect too much from us and you won't be disappointed."
Thank you for your support Haven72. I know from first hand how fast children move. I have 8. =) I love them so much and I care about their safety. I just wonder why they can't be a little more caring when it comes to their safety (the walmart company I mean). I would never intentionally put my children in an unsafe situation. When I talked to the manager and emailed walmart they didn't seemed too concerned. Even though I would not put my children in carts with broken straps, unfortunately there are parents who would. I understand that it is the stupidity of those parents but unfortunately when a child does end up hurt, there will be a lawsuit and a hurt child in the end of it all. The rude remarks that are on this post move away from the main point. These people are more concerned with bashing me for just being concerned. I understand there's so many other bad things going on in this world. But, when I found this site, I assumed it was here to voice concerns. I guess I was wrong.
My children aren't unruly. My children don't abuse the carts. Meijer does have the multi-passenger carts. That is one of the reasons why I choose to go to meijer now. It's not just the carts. It is the horrible customer service. It is the uncleanliness of the store. It is a multitude of different things. My children that I put in the multi-passenger carts are 2 toddlers and an infant. I care about my childrens safety. That is why I brought it to the managers attention in the first place. Maybe I worded my compliant badly. Maybe you are reading into it too much...
I think you missed the entire point...my concern isn't what my children ride in, it is the fact that a child is going to end up injured from falling out of the cart. Then, Walmart will end up with a lawsuit. Why offer the "convenience" if they aren't going to keep them safe? You can try and knock me down, assume I have a "beer budget" as you put..ALL of it has absolutely NOTHING to do with my point. I don't have to justify myself to you.
Your not serious?! I'm not going to waste my time with you. Have a great day!
Your point?
Brad Russell - I agree with you in part. The truth is, a store is only as good as their manager is. Some Walmart managers are NOT good managers and equipment like this goes unrepaired for months or years on end which is why I've said, dial 1-800-walmart to complain. That goes in to the PR Department in Bentonville, AR, and they DO care.
At least this parent cares enough about their children to try to keep them safe. How many parents do you see with small children in standing up and crawling all over shopping carts because they're not buckled in? I cringe when I see that because I know children have died while doing that. Some parents simply shouldn't be parents because they're either too stupid or too lazy to adequately care for their offspring.
If the equipment has a space for seat belts, they're suppose to be there. If one of those children gets hurt because they are not there, Walmart would be liable for a lawsuit.
For those of you who think this is a moot or absurd point, seat belts were installed on shopping carts because children falling over the side of them hit their head on the concrete floor, and several have died from head injuries. If you don't consider that important, I feel sorry for you.
"The new ones, $400 EACH. I know. I asked."
Yes, but the cost of the straps is negligible.
They are ordered in the tens of thousands further decreasing their cost.
AND I can guarantee you, WALMART'S ATTORNEYS WANT THEM ON EACH AND EVERY SINGLE CART THE CHAIN OWNS - so if an accident does happen on a properly installed belt, it isn't Walmart's fault.
VALID complaint.
Those straps are there for a reason - because in the past, an accident happened that hurt a youngster.
Not having the straps is increases the store's legal exposure.
Not using them increases the parent's responsibility.
I bet if you dial 1-800-WALMART, those straps will be in that store installed in those carts before the end of the week because not having them makes the Walmart attorneys on staff crazy.
1-800-WALMART goes directly into their Public Relations Department in Bentonville, AR, and they WILL react to VALID complaints - and this is one.
Look the whole shopping cart safety deal and what not, here's the scoop, Wal-Mart in fact does make a very good effert to take bad carts out of cerculation to be repaired but the number of customer to to number of carts being damaged is high which in turn makes all the harder to keep on top of picking bad ones out of the good ones quickly enough. The greeeters and associates who collect the carts do there best to manage the problem. So if your one store is struggling to keep up or waiting for parts keep in mind they also have to process and maintain everything else in the store as well . I may have gotten off track a bit but the jest of it is the employees do what they can to keep bad carts out. Take a good look at the back of a store every once an awhile you will see all the damaged carts they have to deal with all the time. :) Yes i practically live at Wal-Maet and see first hand the effort thats put into store safety overall period.
The seat belts are probably made in the same Chinese sweat shop the rest of their products are made in. Citizens of this country need to revolt against this company!

People like this are what give the South a horrible reputation. If you want to spew all this racist, sexist, bigoted crap, I'm sure there's a KKK group near you for you to take it to... but I would much rather see you go to a psychiatrist, because you are clearly crazy. "I'm not racist but that guy was a ###!" Yeah, that would be racism. So yes. You are racist, and on top of that, I bet you're 55 with a fake tan and fake nails, caked-on makeup and sweatpants with the word "juicy" written on the ###. Take your attitude back to the trailer park where it belongs. You aren't beautiful... you're the one of the ugliest people I've ever had the displeasure to meet.
"beauty*
If you are attrtactive as you say, you are living proof beaty is only skin deep, racist, bigotted low-life trash.
Why did my comment come out with all kinds of errors?
It seems like you are one unhappy racist ### who can't spell. You hate gays, you hate other nationalities, you hate let me see... MEN! Whatever is up your ### must be pretty big for you to carry on like this about a minor error by a worker who is probably working his ### off for minimum wage. You better hope you never run into me. I'll show you what kind of change you deserve!
You sound like an ignorant piece of ###. Your talking all this ### and saying racial slurs but yet say you don't mean to be racist...### you are racist! Hilarious thing of all is that you are complaining about something so darn petty! The man did a simple mistake. I'm sure his intentions in the end were to give you that dollar back. If you dumb ### could spare a few mins to get your "$1" back then that becomes your problem which you will have to deal with. I bet you did not show any sign of frustration either because you are nothing but a cowardly, ignorant POS who can only vent via the internet. It's people like you who waste space in this society. Dumb ###!
Ook...
Or, you know, it could just be because you're a racist ###. I mean damn, just look at your response to it. He made a genuine mistake and you just went psychotic.
variety of products
What the frig is up with Wal Mart lately? their prices have skyrocketed!- they used to have the lowest prices- now I find things priced lower lots of places AND why did they downsize their sewing/craft/bead section? In this economy- people are making MORE things to save money- DUH. Yet the einsteins at wal mart did away with all the best features the store used to have. I used to shop there 3 to 4 times a week- for sewing/craft supples and garden plants access etc. Now I go once a month- their new garden prices are outrageous and the selection is waaay smaller- some wal marts don't even have plants anymore! and their shelves are mostly empty now and not well stocked like they used to be-
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I think many people who are making things now have always made things to save money. It's something that people usually commit to from the beginning.
I'm with you there mollie. They are very similar in price now with things like toilet paper and cat food, so I go elsewhere for those items.
The Wal-Mart in my town still has the cheapest products compared to other places.
customer service: reurn policy
Today I went to the Walmart (store #3507) in Port Covington, MD to return a copy of Madden 2011 for the PS3 still in its original shrink wrap. It was given to me as a gift with receipt included and since I already had a copy, I wanted to return it and use the cash to pick up a few items I needed from the store. However I was informed that since the original purchase was made by credit card, that the only option for refund was to credit the original credit card that was used for the purchase. I found this hard to believe since I'm sure that many people use credit cards to buy gifts that are returned by the person receiving the gift for either cash or store credit. When I asked to see the store policy that states this in writing, I was told "that is just the way it is" by the manager on duty with whom I was now speaking. If this is in fact store policy, it is absurd ... if it is not store policy then it is an indication that you have poorly trained personnel working in your store's Customer Service department up to and including management... either of which reflects poorly both upon the store in question and Walmart in general. In order to cut my losses, I went ahead and had the transaction processed and the original credit card credited and then I left the store without buying any of the items I was planning to purchase there.
The good news is that my brother-in-law will at least receive credit for the return back to his credit card, , , , I however, after this experience, will not be making Walmart my first choice for any future purchases and I can only hope that after I relay my experience to my friends and family that they will do the same.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They definitely should have offered store credit.
In my experiences stores will either credit the original credit card or give a store credit. I am not surprised they would not give you cash but I am also surprised you did not receive at least a store credit.
poor quality glasses
I purchased a pair of glasses at this establishment. I knew and expected to pay some of the fee out of pocket due to the way my vision insurance worked. I did not have a problem with that. I had the exam, and picked out a pair of frames. All was good and I was told to check back in a few days, and they should be ready by then. When I arrived at the store to pick them up, the glasses seemed okay, but when I got home, I put them on, and the right lens popped out and hit the floor. Hmmm, I thought that was kind of unusual. I was able to wiggle the lens back in place, and within a few days the other lens was doing the same thing! I finally took them beck the following week, and I was mad! All the girl that worked the counter in the vision dept did was "tighten" the screws, she gave em back to me, I got home, and the lenses started doing the same thing AGAIN! I called them and demanded a new pair. They did give me a new frame, but they insertes the old lenses. The lenses continued to "pop out". I took them back a third time, and the counter girl looked at them and said "Oh, these were not" scored" properly, and that is why they keep breaking. I was so furious, and out about $120.00. They didn't want to make me lenses that even fit! So now I am out $120.00, and I have a pair of glasses that I cant even use!
Purchased glasses on 1/15/2013 : single vision lenses with a scratch resistant, glare coating or so I was told. Returned to store today 3/21/13 because lenses scratched when placed in my pocket last week while assisting in a code/CPR. Glasses were in pocket about 25 minutes. The cost of the coating was 40% of the lenses cost. I was told that I was past 60 days and they would not replace the lenses nor would they send them for re-coat or polishing. They don't provide the services. I did not get the glasses until after the 25th of Jan. and I had worked the last 7 days in a row from 7a-7p, , so there is no way I could have gone in at or before day 60. They would not honor their guarantee. They do not provide any customer service for the lenses they sell. All Wal-Mart wants to do is sell you more poor quality lenses. The lenses had only been in use from Jan 25th until March 15th when the lenses got scratched in my pocket. I will go somewhere where service is provided from now on. I hate paying out hard earned money for poor quality goods.
Wal-Mart Vision Center attempted to sell me used frames. I paid over $300 for the frames and the lens and when I was handed them the case was dirty and the frames were clearly used and had glue residue from the price tag and the company logo had letters missing. They told me they will reorder new frames for me. Just info.
Last June i had my eye exam done In the Ephrata, Pa Walmart Vision Center. At this time there was not many frames available to choose from that my insurance company covered, the selection was very sparse, contrary to the more expensive frames, there were plenty of choices. Hence i chose a more expensive frame. My prescription required bifocals. I got them they were so off that it was giving me a headache and was hard to even walk with out messing up my equilibrium, i was told that i needed to learn to walk and use the bifocals. in Nov, i lost my glasses, went to get new ones. Walmart Vision Center said i can get the cheaper frames at no charge because of the 100% guarantee replacement policy. Well if it was 100% then why did i have to go with the cheaper frames? well i took the cheap frames and when i picked them up the glasses were not bifocals? just plain lens. I took them cuz i needed to see to work. 3 months later the frame broke. I went back they repaired no charge. then in May i got a post card saying i needed to schedule my yearly eye exam. Okay its now towards END of June i scheduled for my only day off in 2 weeks and received a call the day before saying that i can have the exam however if need a different script on my lenss the insurance company wont cover because i had the new glasses given to me in NOV..(which were the FREE replacement, under THEIR guarantee) So when calling the store to question the issue, ALLISON was extremely rude to me, said she cant do anything and asked my why my insurance company wont allow it? I said to her well how or why would I know, walmart vision is the one who billed my insurance FRAUDULANTLY in Nov. for FREE replacement. I told her two times the situation, time frame, and she said nothing she can do and that i need to call insurance and figure it out. I told her it was not my responsibility because they fraudulently put a claim through, how will my insurance company know any different from what they are billed. she said hold on...put me on hold for 5 min came back and said nothing she can do. I said let me speak to a manager perhaps they can figure it out. She said she isn't here to call tomorrow...i asked her name because of how she handled my situation, ALLISON THE WALMART VISION CENTER EPRHATA PA employee then turned to another co-worker as i was on the phone and said "can you believe this, shes going to report me". I was shocked, ask I am in the Customer service industry, and just came out of a 3 day seminar for this specific issue, the lack of professionalism, the lack of helping customers with their issues, and helping them solve them. I called the walmart store manager, he said there was other complaints about the same things, and he tried to get me the information i needed however since the vision center is a "sister" store he was not sure how to contact cooperate office. He said he would help in any way possible, and was very pleasant and apologetic. I will be following up and making this right. Or i should say hold walmart vision center Ephrata pa accountable for insurance fraud claims and bad service as well as lack of candor in making sure vision prescriptions are handled properly. I now have a hard time seeing and since i have gotten the glasses it seems my eyes are getting worse ...faster. must be their way of having continued business by ruining people eyesight and making fraudulent claims, selling cheap glasses and not offering enough selection for the frames that insurance companies cover. in this day and age we need strong businesses who are not trying to rape the consumer of every penny, but offer the best at a decent price and quality that will keep the continued business of the customers. Isn't this walmarts philosophy? why don't they require the same from their sister stores?
The $38 pair of glasses is for clear, single vision plastic lenses for $29, and a $9 frame. There is a 60 day satisfaction guarantee, the glasses can be refunded within this time, or you can opt to get single vision reading glasses. The doctor fee, on the other hand, is non refundable.
I had problems with Walmarts vision center also. I was drawn in by the $38.00 for a pair of glasses sign. When the smoke cleared it cost me $199.00. After the initial shock I knew I needed a second pair of glasses, so I was fine with the price. When I picked them up they were out of focus and I could not find the bifocle part of the lens. They re-examined me and made some corrections and said the glasses were not measured correctly. I picked them up a week later and I am still having the same problems; out of focus. I got tired of messing with them and put them up. Who knows my vision may change to the point where I can use them. I do not think they made any corrections on the lenses. I think they gave me the glasses back in the same condition as when they first were made. I am not happy about the experience, so I will take it as a lesson learned.
poor return service
I attempted to return a laptop I had received as a gift with no receipt to upgrade to a better processor (approx $100 more); the box was factory sealed (never opened) and I had waybill from HP to Walmart on box. They refused to facilitate return - I had an overall bad experience. Beware of purchasing electronics from Walmart as they give you a hard time. And there's no one that you can even reason with - they have very young employees with little customer service sense and no business acumen (even the managers). I have sent them a complaint and awaiting a response. Ended up getting receipt from gift giver (very embarasing for me!) and exchanging laptop. I've learned my lesson though, low prices comes at a high price to your dignity! Next time, I will support establishments that value their clients.
You're a POS Weeres. Scamming and hurting people from BC to NB and everywhere in between. I hope you get ALL you deserve and then some. It is ridiculous that the government has now moved benign substances, which are inherently non-addictive but rather take dedicated ###s to turn then into meth, behind the pharmacy counter for the "pharmacist" to decide if you are deserving of the medication. Absolutely insulting to the vat majority of Americans. Also, as yor post indicates, such a system sets up a situation that is ripe for active discrimination by pharmacist. It's already an ordeal to get controlled medications from a pharmacist when you have a LAWFUL PRESCRIPTION. Whether your in pajamas covered in marijuana leaf decals or a 10000 Versace suit should not matter at all. Unfortunately, since pharmacist have been trained to believe themselves law enforcement officers they have slowly lost all concepts of customer service. When you're in law enforcement you are openly suspicious and confrontational. Our US Government has crively encouraged and trained pharmacist to be like this as part of our ridiculous hysteria with drugs and the "war on drugs". I've had several unpleasant encounters with pharmacist regarding my pain medicine for a military accident. Of course they act like jerks when they fill my script eventually, like they're doing me a favor. I'm sick if it. I've taken narcotic painkillers for a year and I've never be one this feared "drug addict" the government is so terrified of us all becoming. You have to actively tell yourself that you don't want to be dependent on any pill and take them as prescribed and you're fine. But I regress, I'm sorry you were treated like that but until the DEA is abolished and our country returns to a state of sanity than we can expect to pharmacists looking at themselves like doctors/law enforcement officers. And te best part? There is no recourse when their behavior becomes appalling. Why? Because pharmacies are in short supply of pharmacist and schools actively deflate candidates for pharmacy school IOT keep salaries artificially high. I don't care what anybody says, and I've heard many arguments, but pharmacists' jobs are by and large filling bottles with pills for 10 hours a day an making six figures. This creates a real sense of holier than thou type attitudes. Almost every time I get a new script filled the pharmacist NEVER take the time to ask me if I have any questions. And most people aren't taking drugs which interact to kill them. The whole pharmacy profession is out of control, but, again, that's largely due to our state and federal government's war on citizens-er, I mean drugs. And I'm a republican and in the military and usually defend law enforcement but this war in drugs in my opinion, looking at it in it's entirety, has caused way more harm than good!
