customer service cutbacks
I wished to use a change counting machine, I do this twice a year or so. I don't demand much from a bank. on 4-20-18 I went to my local WF bank for just that purpose; and guess what, they don't provide that any more. What do they do for their customers anymore? just what? This bank provides nothing! Nothing! they cut all customer services. I hate wells fargo, I will be going some where else.
recruiter gonzales
To whom it may concern,
I recently had a phone interview for Banker Safe 1 with the recruiter stated above. I felt I aced the interview, I answered all questions with expert answers and I really wanted to advance my career to the banking arena since I'm currently a school teacher. I always had a desire to change my career since I will be graduating in May it would have been perfect timing. Well today I received an email stating I was not referred to the next part of the interviewing process. It is my right to know why and what I could've done better or how I could improve my experience for the next banking job opportunity. I was told by WF Hopewell HR to recontact the recruiter who interviewed me prior, so I did just that. The first time I called at 3:30 PM she did not pick up and I failed to leave a voicemail so I called right back to leave a professional voicemail asking her to call me at her earliest convenience. I then called one last time at 5:10 PM she picked up after I introduced myself "Hi, this is Ashley LeCorn we had an interview over the phone a few days ago and today I received notice that I was not selected for another interview" she then replied "yes, you have called me an excessive number of times today, so I will need to call you back when I have time". I replied "Ok", I'm thinking that was really rude she didn't allow me time to explain why I called twice or anything. Then she called back at 5:15 PM and stated "What do you need", I replied " Yes, I received notice that I was not among the highly qualified applicants to be refereed for the banker safe 1 position and was wondering if there were any pointers( example things I failed to say or things I could improvement or any suggestion for my resume as experience) you can give me to be eligible for the next position that may come available. "She responded that I was not one of the highly qualified candidates for this position and I could apply again in three to six months to undergo this process again". I have a serious issue with this response because one she was very rude with her tone and demeanor the first two times she spoke with me and second she never answered my question. I'm a young educated woman who would like to advance into banking but I now see that Wells Fargo is not on my preferred list. I use to be among one of the 100 million WF valued customers, some of my family members are also customers. I thought Wells Fargo was a wonderful bank and I always had a great experience but I will not tolerate anyone being rude to me or anyone not giving me the same opportunity as other. After any interview I always ask for pointers because they can help you go really far in the future. I will never associate with this bank ever again and I will ask family members to do the same. This was truly and awful experience, I'm sorry this bank doesn't have more positive role models like myself working for them.
Sincerely,
Ashley LeCorn
mortgage (homeowner's insurance)
HELLO! Our complaint is a little different than others I've seen but we are wondering if anyone has had or heard of a similar experience and what options we may have. My wife and myself went to her niece's boyfriends house at approx. 4am on Feb. 18 because her niece had called saying their basement was flooded and she wanted me to look at it and try to figure out what was going on. When we got to the home, we were not aware that the niece and a friend had been up & down the stairs. The hallway light was burned out. As my wife opened the cellar door to go into the basement, she slipped head-first down the stairs, twisting and turning eventually landing on her back, and then rolled down the last few steps into the water in the basement. In trying to get to her, I nearly fell myself. We got her up into the kitchen and called 911. She ultimately had broken 3 bones (Ankle, Fibula & Knee cap) as well as tore some ligaments in her neck and fractured a finger & her nose. She was transported to the hospital and spent nearly 12 hours in the ER. Her ankle was placed in a cast and a knee brace applied. She also had to wear the neck collar. She may or may not require surgery down the road depending on how everything heals. So, here's the issue. The homeowner had bought the house and at some point, Wells Fargo bought the mortgage from the other company. Somehow, he allowed his homeowners insurance to lapse. Wells Fargo, as a stipulation for having the mortgage, then purchased homeowners insurance for him and it was paid by his escrow. But here's the kicker. Apparently they only bought coverage for the dwelling only...NO LIABILITY which is crazy considering the fact that basic coverage includes liability insurance. So, in essence, they only covered themselves for the dwelling...So my wife gets hurt on the premises, and then Wells Fargo says there is no liability insurance to cover her medical bills, pain & suffering, etc...My question is, what can we do. Suing the homeowner isn't going to do much because he don't have much. And even a Judgment can be difficult if not impossible to collect. Plus, a bankruptcy filing would wipe a judgment out. Can we sue Wells Fargo? Has anyone else either had a similar experience or know someone who has? Anyone else have someone get hurt on their property and not have coverage? What happened? What did anyone else do? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated...THANKS!
I should also point out that the cellar stairs and the hallway landing turned out to be wet from her niece and friend who had tracked water from the flooded basement. Also, the stairs have linoleum on them without the anti-slip strips. I did wind up taking pictures after the ambulance took her to the hospital and prior to me leaving for the hospital on the advice of the medics and police on scene.
It may be worth contacting an attorney for a possible solution. I believe they'll tell you there's absolutely no requirement for the bank to carry such coverage. However if the bank still holds the title, you may have a possible option.
You could sue him and attach a lein to the property title.
Do you have insurance?
Hi! Thanks for responding. Wells Fargo does still hold the property title but he still owes a lot on the mortgage so there wouldn't be much left after Wells Fargo got theirs. As for insurance, she does have Medicaid & Medicare but they won't cover everything and she will wind up in the proverbial donut hole, and that's not good because she has other medical issues that require regular treatments and appointments. She has homeowners insurance and I even have renter's insurance but I'm certain those won't help us. We have talked to a lawyer and they did tell us that we can sue him and get a judgment but again, these can be hard to collect and he could always file for bankruptcy and get it wiped out. We are definitely in a bad situation as I assume that most people have homeowners or renters insurance depending on their situation and that this unfortunate accident just happened to occur at one of the few person's house that didn't have coverage. Really sad to because it really is quite inexpensive for full basic coverage. Even my renter's insurance, which covers full replacement value (fire, theft, vandalism, etc...) includes $100, 000 liability coverage and the whole policy only costs me about $125 a year! Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated...THANKS!
Actually I believe you're incorrect in one regard -- by federal law, court awarded judgements are not dischargeable through bankruptcy. As a result, you can file against him and know that you'll be able to ultimately collect.
After looking online after reading your last reply, it appears that most court-ordered judgments are dischargeable through bankruptcy EXCEPT divorce & child support, DWI injury awards & intentionally injuring someone, most taxes, etc...we are still researching everything because laws do vary from state to state with regards to required insurance regulations and obligations. Thanks!
stop payment
I've been a Wells Fargo customer for many years and I'm appalled of the carelessness they have given to my account. I called them to make a stop payment on my account which I had mistakenly made twice it had not yet posted nor was it pending I was told they could definitely do that but they needed to charge me $31 for the stop payment service. I told them I was willing to pay the $31 but I did not want that charge to go thru. I gave them the amount of the charge which was $700+ and the name of the company who would be making the charge. Well a few days went by and I checked my account and noticed the charge had went thru! Not just that but they had charged me the $31 stop payment fee. I was so upset I called them. I was told they would open a claim and review the charge and I would see the amount reimbursed to my account within 10 days. Well today I got a letter letting me know I would not get reimbursed for my money because it was not done in a timely manner and I had authorized the payment with the company that had charged! I went off on them when I called and the representative that I spoke to told me he didn't understand why I was so upset because it was my mistake not there's. And just to add they were not returning my $31 stop payment fee all they could do was reimburse me $15. I will be closing my account with Wells Fargo after this they truly made me feel unappreciated and disrespected.
association with the nra
I've been a Wells Fargo customer since about 1981, though my business is so small, you'll never miss me if I go. Nevertheless, I write to say that if you don't disassociation your organization from the NRA, I will close my account.
I remember, over 35 years ago, how proud I was to have the old Wells Fargo stagecoach on my credit card. When I travelled, store clerks would ask me about it; I felt -- unreasonably, perhaps -- that I was associated with your history.
I do not want to be associated, through Wells Fargo, with the NRA. Please stop acting as, as Bloomberg said, the go-to banker for gun manufacturers.
Looking forward to seeing in the press that you have moved away from your current position on the NRA, I'm ready to act accordingly,
unauthorized loan transfer charged to my account. wells fargo does not know who they sent the funds to.
I requested loan thru W. F. approved for $5000. Used balance transfer check to deposit to my personal checking account $3500. With that money, I pd Great Lakes $3329.80 paying the loan in full. Two days later Wells Fargo, revoked that $3500 deposit which made my checking account overdrawn $3300.00. Return deposit charge $7.00, 3 od fees at $35.00 each. I called Wells Fargo to find out what happened. They sent an electronic transfer payment to Great Lakes $3317.60 without authorization by me or an account number to apply the money. This transfer is now missing/unaccounted for yet charged to my loan for me to pay. I was told it would take 90 days to figure out where the money went but that I was still responsible for for the funds. I contest this. The money unaccounted for is the responsibility of Wells Fargo.
My case number is #3854269.
I have been contacting W. F daily and some days a few times daily since April 5th and have no resolve to this issue.
I borrowed family money to cover my overdrawn checking account.
There was a 3 way phone conversation with Alexis from Wells Fargo, Great Lakes and myself on April 9th, with no results. Great Lakes can't locate the funds.
This is unacceptable and I will not be held accountable for the $3317.60 that is somewhere in limbo. My account has been closed and I will not repay the money lost by your company.
Unauthorized use of my loan is illegal.

I have emailed all Executive Officers and will continue to do so until this issue is resolved.
I have reached out to Great Lakes multiple days as well as reaching out to Wells Fargo too. The money is not showing at either location. Thus, the reason for the complaint.
My original complaint states that I have contacted both.
It would appear, without any further communication, that all the issues have come to a favorable outcome.
Best wishes.
You responded, "I have reached out to great lakes multiple days as well as reaching out to wells fargo too. the money is not showing at either location. thus, the reason for the complaint. my original complaint states that I have contacted both."
I appreciate your quick response ms. mcgrath. i'm getting a better picture of the issue. if you wouldn't mind, a little extra information may be helpful.
It would appear that you have been repaying a student loan. it's important to not reveal any specific account numbers, but I would like to get a somewhat better understanding to where funds are being moved. as I understand it, wells fargo originally approved you for a loan of $3500, conditionally placed within one of your accounts and transferred, by you, to your checking account. great lakes, having the information for your account, made an electronic funds transfer or eft in the amount of $3317.60. assumptively paying off your student loan. at approximately the same time, you write a check to great lakes to accomplish the same. the amount being $3329.80. the additional $12.20 being for additional interest, suggesting it was a later payment. however, wells fargo, determined that the conditions for the $3500 loan couldn't be met and, therefor, pulled back the funds from your account, meaning your payment of $3329.80 bounced. would that be accurate thus far?
It would then suggest that wells fargo is showing you in arrears for the approximate $3317.60 eft, in addition to the fees you've also described ($112.00 = 3 ($35.00) + $7.00). again, hopefully all that is accurate.
This would then beg the question, where does great lakes show you are at on your student loan? do they show the eft was applied to your account or are they not able to find or show the funds applied in any way? it also leads to the question of how you know the $3317.60 was transferred by great lakes? was it wells fargo that was able to supply you with that information? finally, what were the conditions of wells fargo's loan that enabled them to pull back the $3500 in funds?
I'm sure we can help remedy the issue for you and all else involved.
Hi Ms. McGrath.
I'm sorry to hear of your concerns.
Whereas you know an electronic transfer was done by Great Lakes for the $3317.60, wouldn't it be more appropriate to contact them for the return of the over payment?
Wells Fargo does not consider an account closed with a negative balance. I'd suggest staying in contact to help resolve the matter.
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Please let us know if this correspondence doesn't address and correct any of your concerns.
personal banking
The date of the incident was 04/06/2018
Client Jada Jackson no client number available but it can be looked up by the complaint board
Jada entered the bank with the intent of reopening a closed account. The account was closed because she lost her job and didn't want to incur charges for not having income going into the account. The account closed with a 10 charge only. Jada was advised that she could not have the account reopened because her stories didn't match up to what she said she would be doing with her account. She was questioned and badgered as if she had illegal funding going into her account. She left the bank completely shaken up from the experience. They questioned her about what would she be using her money for and how she would be utilizing her account. She answered their questions and was told at the end of it all that she was denied because she was lying to them. The branch manager was Wendy Ildina and she treated her as if she were a terrorist. That is totally uncalled for and it marred her banking experience. This branch manager as well as the branch manager at 8100 Lake Wilson road also added notes in the account to block her from having another account. She has gone to a different branch with someone else unbiased and they found absolutely no reason why the account should not be reopened or provided a new account. The other places were profiling and that is not okay. There should be a formal apology to Jada Jackson and both managers will need to be reprimanded for their behavior to this young lady. At this time we have sought counsel to pursue this matter.
checking account
My names Robbie Stephens and I have been a wells Fargo customer for many years now. I dont know how to keep this brief but I'll try. I had a electronic deposit out into my account and was told by a teller about it and was told the funds would not be available until the transfer was completed. The next day it appeared on my account as available. I called the 866 phone number to wells Fargo and was informed by them that transfer was completed and the money was available for withdrawal. I went to the bank and was told the same thing by the teller. I called the 866 phone number again to confirm that the transfer was completed and was told once again that it was completed and the money was available for withdrawal. I withdrew the money like I was informed by wells Fargo I could do and then 3 days later the transfer was returned for some reason I dont know about and now I'm being told by wells Fargo I have to pay the bank back for the withdrawal I was told I could make. I don't believe it's my fault I withdrew the money when I was told by a couple of bankers I could withdraw the money and it could not be returned. This is not right. If someone can look into this and get back with me that would great. Thank you. My phone number is [protected]. Thank you.
online
I have call to reset my password online, 3 phone call's 37 minutes each... 1st phone call, associate was able to verify all my personal information and provided me with all the information need it like my personal account number's and so forth, to finalize my phone call was to be transferred to the online technical support and what happen, associate totally forgot and instead of transferred me, my call was terminated.. 2nd call associate was not able to speak English or better to even understand me at all. and the 3rd call was the most interest, you can verify all my personal information but cause they would not able to verify or sent a security code by phone they refused to help me with my online reset password, now my question is this, before were all this creation of security password to be sent by text.. how did we us to update and reset password.. but wait Wells Fargo do not have any other way to verify personal information.. really.. and another thing why do we need to speak to associates outside of the U.S
brokerage account closed immediately due to death of one account holder!?
My dad went to Wells Fargo after our mom passed away in order to remove my mom's name from their joint brokerage account and add me and my sister to the account. He was told that the account had to be closed IMMEDIATELY because of my mom's death and he would need to open either a new brokerage account, a new checking account or just receive a check for the amount in the account—in six days! In other words, even though it was a JOINT account, he couldn't keep that account open at all. In fact, they IMMEDIATELY closed the account while he was sitting there, and he had no further access to it—not even to look at the history on his account! So now, all of the checks he had written on the account to pay bills could bounce and totally ruin his credit! They claimed that they were required by law to IMMEDIATELY close the account due to my mom's death. Has anyone ever heard of this nonsense? It was a JOINT account! The money belongs to him! The history on the account is his! And now he has no rights and no account!? This is crazy!
home mortgage
I've sentt so many complaints to Wells Fargo that I believe I dealt with nearly every live body in the Resolution Department. First was Leesa Whitt-Potter, then Nakia Steelman, Jamie Guinn, Tiffany Bates, Lisa Ulerich, Steven Escobar, Katrina Wilkerson, Bobby Mata and others whose names I can't recall. The ONLY employee in the Executive Resolution Specialists Customer Care amd Recovery Group, who should ever be paid, because she knew what she was doing, was ***Misty Vanarkle***.
The remainder of our staff, those whom you pay, is why you are no longer a bank so big the country can't afford to see you fail.
You should fail, you have scammed so many people, foreslosed on so many families, simply because you couldn't find your own records, to finish a new mortgage.
Wells Fargo is a disgrace to the lending profession; that has many honest people employeed.
For shame on you Wells Fargo!
Frankly I think the O.C.C. should see to it that you can never sell another mortgage.
Wells Fargo, you hurt to many people, and your Board of Directors are blind to what the mortgage Department is doing, or perhaps what I should say, what you aren't doing---"Your Job!
Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia in 12/2008, Wachovia had bought World Savings 10/2006. I got Pick-A-Payment mortgages from World Savings 05/12/2005. In just thirteen (13) years, (just one of those mortgages) they have collected $167, 764.00 in inteest and reduced my principal balance by $ 3, 270.00.
I'm embarrassed that I don't even know how to figure out what that interest rate is.
When my husband died I went to World Savings to reduce my monthly expenses. Good luck. World Saving striped equity out of one loan and wired the funds to another loan. Problem is that they shorted the deposity by $6, 746.00. Then World Savings added $100, 000.00 to one of the loans where I wanted to cut costs. Problem is that no one can account for where those funds went. Then Wachovia bought World Savings in 2006, then Wells Fargo bought Wachovia in 2008. 2009, Wells Fargo wrote me into two Loan Modifications. Problem is that they extended the maturity date from 30-years to 44-years and forgot to put anything in writing. They simply changed a 3 to a 4, who would ever notice. They had given me a principal reduction, but then added "six-years-inters-only". I paid back more than they had given to me. I had hope Wells Fargo would want to settle rather than have me go to the Consumer Financial Consumer Bureau, The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, California State Attorney General's Office, The law firm of BernsWeiss, and Hon. Richard Seeborg United States District Judge. Or to go on the Social Media. Wells Fargo's reputation is so bad that many Escrow companies refuse to do business with Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo apparently didn't do a very god job of auditing Wachovia before they bought them. Bad business choice.
As they say, "When you buy a house, the termites come free"!
I sent letters. I mean I sent letters and letters and letters, and what I got in return were 47 "Delay of Resolution" from eight Resolution Specialists.
pmi aka - rip off dept
We inquired about removing the forced placed insurance called PMI on our mortgage. Wells Fargo said we had to merely either pay the difference of X $ or provide an appraisal for the value to see if it met the criteria. The house more than met the criteria because we went and got the appraisal from a certified bonded appraiser of which the company was the originating appraiser company. We called to let Wells Fargo Mortgage dept know and we wanted to send the report in via email. Wells Fargo tells us that they cannot accept our report because they have a company that they hire but we pay for the company being a mutual company. Of which is a lie - because we did not even know the company nor the requirement. We got the original company for the follow up years later with current updates and all. Wells Fargo is telling us they will not accept our appraisal that we have to get their company to do the appraisal but yet we the customer still pay! What and who can I go to? I will plaster this everywhere! News and all
my account
I have been a loyal wellsfargo customer for over two years now. My account is currently -202.00 and I believe wellsfargo is stealing and doing fraudelent things in my account. I called today 3/14/17 customer service and they were very rude and nasty about helping me resolve this issue. I would like to resolve this matter and have my account back at zero instead of closing this account.

8-11-17 and 8-12-17 your agent Murphy Harkins from the 9200 Washington Square RD, Tigard Oregon branch was observed marching in the White supremacist rally in Charlottesville VA. He was photographed marching in both the 8-11-17 Torch rally where participants were chanting "Jews will not replace us" and the 8-12-17 white supremacist rally where he was photographed with James Alex Fields the white supremacist that later went on to kill Heather Heyer and injuring several others with his car. Your agent was there representing the hate group True Cascadia. We have reached out to the local branch and there has only been silence. The community is outraged. More info here.http://pnwawc.com/2018/03/08/rebranding-fascism-and-refinancing-mortgages-andrew-murphy-harkins-portlands-nazi-banker/
we hope that Wells Fargo takes this matter seriously.
Hello, this is Brian Nichols loan #[protected]. I made a payment over a week ago, accidently made 2. I tried deleting 1, but apparently 2nd one didn't go through. I just made another payment so can you just forget the 2 older ones please. Thank you.
I think that Wells Fargo is hoping to take down democracy with all the insulting things that they do, while white washing (excuse the unntended pun) the actions of their employees..
zelle money transfer using phone numbers - as advertised on wells fargo site/app and customers account
I did 2 money transfers from my Wells Fargo acct using Zelle /phone numbers, the bank send the money to someone who either had the phone number before or register the phone number with bank of America, the text message was received by the person who i send the money to, but he never received the money, the bank fail to reimbursed my loss resulted from their system which didn't check and verify money send is going to the correct person it was intended for. the bank investigation accepted that the money went to another person yet they choose to end the investigation. This exact issue happens to other Wells Fargo customers yet they failed to guide their customer other than using fine prints. The bank personnel doing the investigation should have the ability to do better.
I loss confidence in this Bank.
nra and gun manufacturers association
I am/was a shareholder, and also have a 401k with Wells Fargo. I do not control the 401k relationship, but am able to sell shares, and intend to do so if WF maintains its support of the gun lobby. Coming on top of de-frauding your customers, I do not think WF is a company I wish to be associated with. You may lose some clients, but are likely to gain far more. Look at the numbers--the overwhelming majority of Americans support common-sense gun control. The NRA has children's blood on their hands.
nra association
I have been a member of Wells Fargo on and off for decades. I have used Wells Fargo in various Financial dealings through the years. Until Wells Fargo ends its in sociation with the NRA and or gun manufacturers I will no longer be using Wells Fargo for any business transactions. This includes ATM, loans Etc. I am surprised that such a progressive financial institution would continue to deal with the same old dusty rhetoric that the NRA has been spewing for a hundred years. Wells Fargo claims to be an innovator, and should use its power to help the NRA innovate some new policies.
I am sure you won't be missed, with your leftist liberal bullsh*it!
wells fargo relationship with the nra
To Whom It May Concern:
I have 9 accounts with Wells Fargo including business and business payroll. They have been established for quite some time. I was dismayed though to hear that you are the NUMBER ONE loan, etc supplier to members of the NRA.
I am anxious to hear what your company plans to do about this. If there is no change, I will be moving to Bank of America that has sever ties.
Thank you...Merry Cole Bender
Go ahead liberal, they won't miss you lol
bank manager brenda
I went into Wells Fargo to cash a check like I do with my father only this time he was not with me and the cashier I usually go to was not there I went to cash the check and told them to call my elderly father that is 90 years old and he cannot hear the phone to call a couple times to confirm they did not call him they called the sheriff and upon arrival they arrested me for stolen checks in which they took me into an office after I got humiliated in front of the whole Bank in front of everybody they called my father verify that it was not a stolen check that he confirmed I am his daughter! I immediately closed all 3 accounts with you guys I'm taking my father to close his account that he has had for more than 20 years I will never refer anybody there again I did not like the way that it was handled she had a closed office that she could have pulled me in I was not resisting I completely complied with everything they took the handcuffs off me She did not apologize and was completely rude about it!
unethical behavior
To whom it concerns, I have 2 mortgages through your company and also my 9 year old's savings account. I insist you immediately terminate your supportive relationship with the NRA. If you don't publicly announce your stance against people buying guns below the age of 21, prohibit the sale of assault rifles, and increase background check requirements - my family and I will PUBLICLY move our business elsewhere.
I eagerly await your reply,
Carissa Anuar
Good for you Carissa! I'd back you 100%!
GO FOR IT! Americans don't need people like you spouting your liberal views that are killing innocent Americans. GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM! They have been around for decades, and we never saw the level of mass shootings we see now back in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. I grew up in the 60s, and I NEVER had to worry about someone shooting up a school. But then again, we had PRAYER, RESPECT FOR OUR ELDERS, RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY, and RESPECT FOR OUR PARENTS in school back then. Liberals like you have gutted out your kids to have no conscience, no respect for their elders, no respect for their peers, no religion, no ethics, and no accountability, and you wonder why you're breeding the shooters that we see now. Instead, you take to your social media platforms with your lynch mobs attacking businesses who don't follow your sick liberal ideologies trying to turn America into a Communist cesspool. Go to hell - you and your sick ilk!
