Credit Card
I called trying to find some help regarding credit card payments. Representative not helpful at all. She initially said I had to many questions. Had an attitude the whole time and when asked to speak to someone else she brought me escalation manager who had an even worse attitude. Its frustrating how there is no way for these works to be held accountable for their inadequacy. Wells Fargo as company is horrific.
A branch manager cannot order a replacement atm card!
May 25, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. I visited the branch #72437-20 in Anaheim, CA, I was the only customer at the branch. No line NO wait and 4 tellers at the windows had nothing to do.
Since May I files this same complaint more than 8 times without getting answer to my Question which brought me here.
At this visit, I find out that my ATM card has expired, The girl at the window asked the branch manager to assist in my ATM card that was not working because it is expired. The branch manager checked my account then told me that in order for me to order a replacement ATM card, I MUST make an appointment to sit with a banker. I refused and I requested my ATM card back then I stepped out the branch right by the entrance, I called the Wells Fargo Customer service number that is located on the back of the card and ordered a replacement ATM card in less that 30 second.
When I was talking to the manager and Because I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for MORE than 35 years and I never heard such lie before, I asked the manager why I must set an appointment to sit with a banker just order a replacement card? The manager told me that the Banker will be discussing my options for my accounts and Will be ordering the ATM. card and told me do not worry about the appointment I will set you up with the earliest appointment possible. The branch manager did not tell me that I can order the replacement ATM card ONLINE and over the PHONE and because I was dealing with the branch manager, this manager should be able to order the replacement card. specially because the branch was not busy and had no customer other then me. That illegal act by the Branch Manager brought to my memory what I want to share with you now: CFPB Orders Wells Fargo to Pay $3.7 Billion for Widespread Mismanagement of Auto Loans, Mortgages, and Deposit Accounts Company repeatedly misapplied loan payments, wrongfully foreclosed on homes and illegally repossessed vehicles, incorrectly assessed fees and interest, charged surprise overdraft fees, along with other illegal activity affecting over 16 million consumer accounts WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is ordering Wells Fargo Bank to pay more than $2 billion in redress to consumers and a $1.7 billion civil penalty for legal violations across several of its largest product lines. The bank’s illegal conduct led to billions of dollars in financial harm to its customers and, for thousands of customers, the loss of their vehicles and homes. Consumers were illegally assessed fees and interest charges on auto and mortgage loans, had their cars wrongly repossessed, and had payments to auto and mortgage loans misapplied by the bank. Wells Fargo also charged consumers unlawful surprise overdraft fees and applied other incorrect charges to checking and savings accounts. Under the terms of the order, Wells Fargo will pay redress to the over 16 million affected consumer accounts, and pay a $1.7 billion fine, which will go to the CFPB's Civil Penalty Fund, where it will be used to provide relief to victims of consumer financial law violations. “Wells Fargo’s rinse-repeat cycle of violating the law has harmed millions of American families,” said CFPB Director Rohit Chopra. “The CFPB is ordering Wells Fargo to refund billions of dollars to consumers across the country. This is an important initial step for accountability and long-term reform of this repeat offender.” It seems wells Fargo manager and management did not learn after the 3 BILLION DOLLARS FINE. and they still trying to scam the customers and trying to open more
This is not the first time I complain about this Issue but Wells Fargo does not have customers service any more they contracted the responses of the complaint to a company called Executive Complaints Management Office Who never investigate to answered my complaints properly, The employees of this company are labeled ECMOs Who work from the comfort of their homes without any supervision and NOT under any management from Wells Fargo.
I want answers to my questions.
Here what I want: 1- WHY DID THE MANAGER AT THE BRANCH TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED AN APPOINTMENT TO SIT WITH A BANKER JUST TO RENEW MY TELLER MACHINE CARD? It must be a hidden reason that benefits the banker. 2- DOES THIS MANAGER THINK I AM STUPID TO TELL ME THAT HE CANNOT RENEW MY CARD ON HIS COMPUTER? 3- HOW COME WHEN I WENT OUTSIDE OF THE BRANCH AND CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE RENEWED MY CARD IN 30 SECOND PHONE CALL? 4- WHY THE MANAGER OF THE BRANCH HAVE NO EXPERIENCE AND DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RENEW An ATM CARD? 5- IS WELLS FARGO HIRING MANAGERS FOR THE BRANCHES WITH NO EXPERIENCE SIMILAR TO THE ONE WHO JUST ANSWERED MY COMPLAINT AND LABELED AS ECMOs? WHEN THE BRANCH WAS EMPTY OF CUSTOMERS EXCEPT ME, WHY THE MANAGER COULD NOT RENEW MY ATM CARD ON HIS COMPUTER?, 6- WHY WELLS FARGO REFUSED TO INVESTIGATE THIS POSSIBLE MISCONDUCT.
I do have 2 more issues that will complain about it here because the so called ECMOs do not answer the complaints properly.
Desired outcome: I want a REAL Wells Fargo manager to investigate my complaint and answer my question properly not by lies as the so called ECMOs sub contractors who are working from the comfort of their homes without any supervision or management.
Wells Fargo is refusing to use my mailing address as indicating on my account preference. Wells Fargo is ignoring my rights of privacy, Wells Fargo is ignoring my civil rights, Wells Fargo is refusing to follow the laws and regulations. This is my complaint #90.
I have been a Wells Fargo customer for more than 35 years, at all the past 32 years my account mailing preference is a P.OBOX. for the safety of my mail and for my privacy. Everything was fine till the last 2 and half year When Wells Fargo start the illegal activities and subcontracted the customer service to a company called EXECUTIVE COMPLAINT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (ECMO). since that, Wells Fargo decided not to use my P.O.Box. anymore and they start directing my mail to my residential address. In the last 2 and half years, I complaint to Wells Fargo more than 89 times and requested not to mail anything to my resident but all the complaint were answered by a copy and paste standard letters even the answers to my complaint were mailed to my residential address when my complaint and my request is to mail to my P.O.BOX. not to my resident. The Wells Fargo working from the comfort of their home employees do not read my complaint they only copy and paste standard answers and mail it to my resident when in my complaints I provided the P.O.BOX as my mailing address and I did not provide my residential address and my account mailing preference is my P.O.BOX.
Wells Fargo is refusing to address my issue properly, Wells Fargo is refusing to investigate, Wells Fargo is refusing to follow the rules and regulations regarding my account mailing preference, and they send misleading answers and they do not even read my complaint before they answer it, The people who answer the complaints for Wells Fargo are labeled ECMOs , Those are inexperienced people who are working for the contractor ECMO from the comfort of their homes without any supervision not under Wells Fargo's Management.
I tried to speak to a manager or supervisor, but I was told that Wells Fargo employees who answer the complaint are working from their homes and there have no way to connect me to a manager or supervisor because they are independent contractors, they do not work under the supervision of Wells Fargo bank they are working for the contractor ECMO.
So, after more than 2 years of complaints to Wells Fargo and everywhere, where they have authority over Wells Fargo and after more than 89 complaints, Wells Fargo still did not address my issue properly and did not solve it and Wells Fargo is still denying me the right of privacy when I do not want the bank to send the mail to my resident. and Wells Fargo is still refusing to use my P.O.BOX mailing address as it is indicated on my account preference.
I have tons of letters from Wells Fargo as evidence that they are mailing to my residential address.
The misleading Wells Fargo excuses for not using my P.O.BOX. are: The US Patriot Act, Covid-19, The weather, The difference in time, The expansion of Wells Fargo overseas and so on.
Bottom line, It seems that Wells Fargo DOES NOT have customer service department, they have a subcontractor, it seems Wells Fargo is going down soon, and the Wells Fargo management know it, this is why they are not putting any effort in managing Wells Fargo, they are letting it go bankrupt.
-Next, I will post here my 3rd complaint soon.
Online international wire fees
Hello
I hold my account #[protected] since September 2016 and have conducted considerable activity there.
Since August 2022 I executed 9 on-line wire transfers of USD25,000 each, all wired to myself with banks in Australia (HSBC) and in Israel (Mizrahi Tefahot Bank).
All wires were executed in US Dollar denomination.
For 8 wires I was charged a hefty fee of USD45 per wire
Namely wires executed on 04AUG2022, 10AUG2022, 16AUG2022, 06SEP2022, 17APR2023, 19APR2023, 21APR2023, and 08JUN2023.
For the last wire on 14AUG2023 I was charged a far more reasonable fee of USD25.
During the past year I held a conversation with a representative to try and negotiate these unreasonable fees, and was told that I should first finish doing the activity after which I should call and negotiate a reversible rebate.
Now that I was charged a fee of $25 on my last wire, I am hereby requesting a $20 rebate on each of the previous wires that were all done online with no currency conversion involved, totaling a total rebate of USD160.-
During two long calls (all metered as they were from abroad), today 15AUG2023, I wass finally refused any cooperation, which I find is somewhat unfair.
I am requesting you to reconsider this decision and credit my account with the requested refund.
I would appreciate your rapid response to this request.
With thanks,
Michael Vromen

Fraud charges on my debit card
I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for over 40 years. Do all my banking with them. I discovered back in March of 2023 fraud charges on my debit card from Tracfone from June 2022 to March 2023. I don't understand why I never noticed them sooner because I constantly check my debit charges on line. I immediately called Wells Fargo to put in a claim and they...

I went to the bank to ask for help in setting up Autopay for two accounts, there's no banker around so I asked the teller if anybody could help? There were two women in their bright red T-shirt that says VOLUNTEER (an absolute unprofessional attire a bank could present herself with) sitting behind the teller, I asked a question and the teller would turn...

I went to the Jacksonville, AL location with a POA over all things having to do with his business. It clearly states that the owner of said company gives all responsibilities to me, the agent to cash checks, deposit checks, get cashiers checks for anyone I see fit as well as money orders. That I am able to stand in on his behalf for any issue relating to his company. Well the lady read it and it was 4:00 p.m. and immediately decided that this wasn't going to happen today. See my Uncle is a disabled vet who I help as his caretaker and business associate, and nephew. He was having fraud committed on him so bad that his bank dropped him and he was having 2500.00 stolen about every 2 weeks. So I move in with him and immediately have to get rid of everyone that was at his house and I stopped the fraud. His credit score was a 5xx when I got there. 3 months later he has money in a chine account I setup for him and his credit score is a 622. Not great but felt like a 788 for us because of everything we had gone through. Dealing with police and literally nailing every door shut in his house to stop people from sneaking in. They had routers setup in his walls it was hell. So he makes me POA over everything and I open an account at Wells Fargo for the sole purpose of having his checks cashed because chime doesn't do business banking. The POA specifically states every minut detail of the authority I have over everything. This is my first and only POA so I'm not sure how things work and when I start asking questions she gets mad. Wants me to accept no. After the road we just walked, this lady wouldn't take the time out of her job to explain things to me or help. Instead she calls her legal department and is immediately bashing the rock solid POA. Which I'm return get negative feedback from the legal team agreeing with her. She said that even though I have POA I can't deposit his business checks in my account because it's a business check. I say OK well let's open a business account. She tells me she can't without him there. I say," how does Aaron's sales and lease send someone to come up here and do there financial business for the owner. She says they have a business account and said why can't I setup the business account since I'm POA. She's says, sir if your gonna cause problems and get loud then you have to leave. I say, calm down, this is my first POA o don't really know what to do can you help. She says my legal team says your POA is vague. It doesn't explain the business'your are POA of. I said that was wrote up by rocket lawyer and is a standard POA with special privileges of you just read right here it says (my Agent is in charge of said business as if it were me and the list everything I am in charge of with (said business). She said he legal team has to send it to be read further she can't help me she would call me in 3 days. That was 5 days ago. I told her you know my Uncle is a Marine Corp vet who is disabled and can't leave his bed and your saying I have to bring him down here?. What's the point of a POA. That can't be true but the disrespect of women to a 72 year old disabled Marine Corp vet just so she could get off 15 min early, is disgusting. The man fought for your freedom and you can allow him 15 min of your time. So now we have 6 business checks we have been paid and have no money because I don't know what to do as far as getting then cashed. We just opened an LLC to. What are we supposed to do. This is all I can do for him. Send in a complaint. What happened to thus country?
Desired outcome: I just want the right thing done. Read the POA and then do what the legality of the POA permits instead of not having enough time to do your job. She was out of the parking lot before I was when I left that day too.
Issue!
So on June 10th 2022 at 10:57pm I got this message from Wells Fargo of “Closure of you deposit account ending in ****” due to a check that I deposit of my brother work check that I agree on him that I will deposit his check on my account also that was a Friday, so I also had a work check to deposit on my account so decide to deposit both of them. I didn’t know that this could have an issue with my account, because algo my boyfriend use to deposit his work checks on my account and nothing never happens (he use to do that because he had and account with his mom and it was kind a saving account) so nothing never happens to my account and i don’t know why I get the account close if he’s my brother, there was his name on the check and everything.
My mom use Wells Fargo, so a couple months she goes to a Wells Fargo bank to open an account for my sister and they told her that because I have this issue she can’t open the account for my sister (I algo had the account with my mom because we opened when I was a minor). A been had to calls for reopening the account but I can’t due to that. I ask a customer service person from Wells Fargo if I can’t solve this issue (I want to reopen it) of me and my brother can go together to solve this issue and she told me NO!…
If there’s any possibility that we can solve this issues of the account please let me know if I have to do anything, please let me know I’m here to help and discuss about this at any moment. Thank you!
Auto loans
Contacted Wells Fargo in April when my brother passed away as a result of a car crash. I submitted his death certificate and provided information regarding his insurance. He had full coverage plus a gap policy on the vehicle that was a total loss. Despite providing all information requested, Wells Fargo continued taking electronic withdrawels for two months on the vehicle out of a account co-owned by myself and my brother. I have requested a refund from Wells Fargo for the two payments that they have taken out of a checking account which is solely now owned by me. I have spoken with numerous individuals and departments and have faxed supportive documents including court documents on the settlement of the estate. I understand that mistakes are made but this could simply be resolved by reimbursement of the funds taken out of what is now a personal account. It appears that I am going to have to file in small claims court in Ky to get the two payments reimbursed. i am deeply disappointed in Wells Fargo as a corporation. Their customer support and service is horrible.
Desired outcome: Refund of the last two payments taken out of the account
Window world credit card
I signed up for a Wells Fargo Window World credit card 18 months ago because the Window World salesperson said that it would allow me to purchase my windows with a 0% interest rate. The salesperson failed to mention that this was only good for 18 months and that if not paid in full by that 18 month deadline, deferred interest charges would hit my account. I made minimum payments every month and the balance decreased from approximately $3,000 to $1,200. This week I logged in and I saw my balance went from $1,200 to $2,600! I should have read the fine print but every 0 percent deal that I had previously experienced had remained 0 percent until the balance was paid off or lasted a period of time; I had never seen deferred interest charges before. It seems to me like a classic bait and switch. I have since learned that these financing arrangements are common with home improvement projects. It seems that the salesperson should have verbally told me about the deferred interest and when they would happen. Please be careful with these teaser deals.
Desired outcome: Deferred interest charges refunded.
Insurance check endorsement slow
The process to endorse my insurance claim check took Wells Fargo 1 month from start to finish. The roof was replaced in 2 days. I was on the phone with Wells Fargo probable every other day and would always get different answers as to how long the next step would take. The roofer needed to pay suppliers and in the end I had to move funds around and wire transfer funds to pay the roofer. If WF says a step will take 2-5 business days it always takes 5. The inspection took 10 business days. Wells Fargo does not understand business so I would be very hesitant to do business with them in the future. My mortgage was only with WF because they purchased it from another lender.
Zell Fraudulent Transactions
On June 2 and 3 ,2023 I was contacted by Wells Fargo by phone from their main line that is nationally known that I had some Zelle Fraudulent transactions on my account and I needed to go into my account to enter some codes to have it stopped to have my money returned back to me. I have no knowledge of how to use Zelle and I was contacted from the 3557 main line, I was under the impression the representative was trustworthy to follow their instructions. I was scammed out of $3,943.42. I filed a claim on this and I was finally told by mail that my money is not going to be refunded
Desired outcome: Refund denied ! I want my money back please. I have an attorney that will handle this matter.

Wells Fargo Education Services: Outdated Loan System and Exorbitant Late Fees
Wells Fargo bank is a great option for retail banking needs, but their education services division leaves much to be desired. As a co-signer, I have experienced firsthand the negative impact of their outdated and inadequate computer loan system, as well as their exorbitant late fees. It is disappointing that they do not accept credit card payments, which can make it difficult for borrowers to make timely payments.
One of the most frustrating aspects of Wells Fargo education services is their late fees. They are incredibly high, often amounting to 60% of the payment due. Even a payment that is just a few cents short can result in a late fee being assessed. Despite explaining my extended hospitalization, they still assessed late fees. To make matters worse, they file negative credit reports with the three credit bureaus, which can have a significant impact on a borrower's credit score.
While I understand the importance of financial responsibility, it is unfair for Wells Fargo education services to punish co-signers for the mistakes of borrowers. In my case, my FICO score dropped from 830 to 730 due to two late payments and three negative credit reports filed by Wells Fargo education services. This is a significant blow to my creditworthiness and financial stability.
In today's world, college loans are a necessary evil for many students. However, it is important for lenders like Wells Fargo education services to conduct their business responsibly and with a concern for the community. Filing negative credit reports on struggling college graduates does not benefit anyone. If Wells Fargo education services wants to continue doing business in the college loan space, they need to prioritize improving society and helping borrowers achieve financial stability.
Wells Fargo's Poor Customer Service and Mishandling of Fraudulent Charges
I recently had a terrible experience with Wells Fargo. I had saved up some money for the first time in my life and had a decent amount in my checking account. I never really checked for overdrafts because of this. However, in June, my son was with his father and unfortunately, his brother gave him the password that was connected to my card. My six-year-old went crazy and spent around $1000. When I saw that my account was missing this amount, I immediately called the bank for help. However, they were not very helpful and I panicked not knowing what my son was doing at the time. I cancelled everything and told them not to charge the yet pending transactions, but they did anyway.
The bank convinced me that since March, I had been getting charged for things I didn't purchase. I gave them permission to investigate, not knowing that because it was months ago, the actual transactions of June would not be compensated because it passed the time requirements. I have called multiple times, given enough time, gone to the bank and asked for a representative, but they only allow appointments. I got a copy of my statements and called for an update, but received no feedback. I went to the bank again and it's been almost two weeks, yet no one has called me back.
Now, $1200 is missing for three months and no one seems to care. My birthday was ruined because my card didn't arrive at a reasonable time. I now have to take cash to the bank for my rent and other purchases because I'm scared to have my money there. As a single mother who fought cancer this year, I am now fighting my bank since 2009 for my own money. I did my part, but this bank can't even give me a valid excuse for any of it. If you see fraud, don't let them go back, that's how they trick you. I told them to get the recording the day I called and the 7th after Fourth of July weekend, but I have yet to receive a call back from anyone. It's frustrating and disappointing to see such poor customer service from a bank that I trusted.
Frustrated and Disappointed: My Experience with Wells Fargo Bank
Wells Fargo is a bank that has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I have had multiple issues with them not backing their debit and credit purchases, and even worse, they don't take notes correctly. The staff that I have spoken with are terrible and unhelpful. I have tried going to the complaint department, but I can only imagine how that will go.
To make matters worse, they can't even change an address correctly. How can I trust them with my money if they can't even do something as simple as that? They even threatened to take away my credit card, which I never asked for and have never used. And if you lose something, don't expect them to back you up. They have no customer service training, and the back room has its own set of rules.
Despite all of this, they do have many branches, so if you need to cash a check or get change, they are good for that. But I would never get a home equity or mortgage through them again. They leave you with a poorly trained representative who doesn't know what they're doing.
If you do decide to get a credit card through Wells Fargo, beware. Your purchases may not be covered if you have an issue. And they may even send you a business credit card without informing you, which can wipe out your line of credit. If you want to close the credit card, be smart and ask questions.
To add insult to injury, a brilliant employee sent me a message saying that I would receive an e-sign message soon and MUST sign within 5 days, without any idea of what the message was about. When I called to ask, the representative couldn't tell me anything, and even the business manager couldn't find out any details. So now I'm just waiting for a message that I have to respond to within 5 days, without even knowing what it's about.
Overall, I would not recommend Wells Fargo. They have left me feeling frustrated and disappointed, and I don't feel like they care about their customers.
Wells Fargo: Inconvenient, Unreasonable, and Unhelpful
I gotta say, I'm pretty fed up with Wells Fargo. Every time I try to make an online purchase, my card gets denied and I have to call them up to confirm that it's really me making the purchase. It's a real pain in the butt, let me tell you. And if I don't call them, they freeze my account so I can't use my card at all. I mean, come on, I'm just trying to buy some stuff online, why do they have to make it so difficult?
It's not just the inconvenience, either. They've frozen my account over charges as low as 12 bucks, and I've had to spend hours on the phone with them every weekend just to get access to my own money. And today, they froze my account again over a 12 dollar fraud charge, and wouldn't even overnight me a new card, even though I told them my husband and I need life-saving medications that we have to pick up today. My husband is insulin-dependent and I have seizures, for crying out loud!
I'm done with this nonsense. I'm closing my account and finding a bank that actually lets me spend my own money without having to get their permission every five minutes. And one that actually has reasonable solutions for fraud charges and getting a new card. Plus, they won't even refund the late fees for all the automatic payments we missed because they froze our account. It's ridiculous.
I'm telling everyone I know not to use Wells Fargo. I've tweeted, messaged, and Facebooked all my friends and followers, and I even warn strangers not to bank with them. If you want to actually have access to your money, and want friendly and helpful service, don't bank with Wells Fargo. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.
Nightmare Experience with Wells Fargo: Incompetent Representatives and Incorrect Accounts Made
My experience with Wells Fargo has been a complete nightmare. Unfortunately, due to the passing of my father and grandfather, I had to transfer their funds to myself as the beneficiary. However, this process has been nothing short of a disaster. It took me three long years to complete the process with my grandfather, and I even had to quit for a year due to the frustration. Currently, I have been working on my father's account for the last four months, and I have been tossed around to so many incompetent representatives that I now have six incorrectly made accounts, and I am STILL working through this mess.
I have worked with other investment companies before, and I can say with certainty that this is not normal. I have been to the notary more than five times, and everything I was asked to notarize and send in was not needed. This has been an extreme waste of my valuable time, and I could not be more displeased and frustrated with Wells Fargo's service.
My feedback to Wells Fargo is to train your employees not just in their own department but in others as well. This will ensure that clients will not be transferred so much, and representatives can have a clue as to the overall procedures needed to take place, such as correct paperwork needed, correct account setup, etc. Even when I worked with a certain department, I was led astray by their lack of training or know-how. PLEASE train your employees. I would much rather wait on hold than immediately get someone who leads me on a rabbit chase.
Before this experience, I had been considering investing my somewhat large inheritance with Wells Fargo. However, I can confidently say that I will never use Wells Fargo, and I will encourage family and friends to not use Wells Fargo as well. I would not wish my experience on anyone, especially when dealing with grief and loss as I have.
I have never left a review on any platform, but my experience with Wells Fargo has been so outstandingly horrible that I felt the need to voice my experience. I hope that Wells Fargo takes my feedback seriously and improves their service for future clients.
