Auto loans
I got an auto loan with Wells Fargo on Easley SC. For a 2018 Nissan Rogue. I purchased the car last January 2021. My cousin cosigned for me. She passed away in March 2022. I sent a cashier check for the full payoff. Then suddenly come may after my cousin had passed away. They started sending out past due letters to her address and calling me 5 times a day trying to say I was behind on payments. Even though my bank statement showed they got the money. I got the paperwork in saying paid in full. her name removed from the loan.. They started saying they never received the money. Even though I faxed them proof. Then night before last they had their recovery company sneak out and steal my car in the middle of the night. I have being on phone with them numerous departments trying to locate it do at least I can get my personal stuff and the car and I have being given the run around and told to call back.
Desired outcome: Car back plus a full refund
Well here I go again. Wells Fargo an employee name Corina, sweet girl was trying to work with me to get my car back. I told her my attorney and I would agree to try to stop payment on that cashiers check and sent out another one if my car was returned today or by Tuesday. She tried to help me do that but the redemption dept said no! They want more money now. I called them and the girl was so rude kept telling me she wanted over 18000 now before they would give back the car because they didn't receive the money and I go my bank statement shows you did. She felt out refused to work with me to give back my car even though I had proof it was paid off and everything. So now they are going to be taking my car to the auction to auction it off for whatever they can get out of it. I told her she would be hearing from my attorney for a major lawsuit. They don't care, they have being caught setting up false bank account to steal peoples money plus numerous other law suits against them. Its all over the internet on how many times they are being sued and here comes them another one.
Checking account
I’m 6/9/2022 I made a mobile deposit of my payroll check. $400 was available right away and the rest was to be available the next day. Next day come and the 400 is gone as well as the rest of the check was gone (not made available). I called the 24 hour CS and was told that the signature on my check didn’t match. It did. Not only did no one tell me what happened until I called and asked but I had to find it all out on my own. Note they are saying there is nothing they can do about it and I have to wait 10 days. I asked if I can go to the branch and was told it won’t make a difference. Now I’mscrewed because of this. If this is what they were doing to me I should have at the least need notified.
Desired outcome: Do what needs to be done so my check can clear
Customer service
Hi, came to the Vancouver mall branch location today. The branch manager approached me saying very loudly in front of other clients that after I am finished I have to step out to different window and the other manager will talk to me how I treat their employees. I stepped out to another window and the other manager told me that last time when I was doing...
Read full review of Wells FargoUnreasonable deposit hold and poor customer service
I deposited a check from my employer and the funds were made available from which I paid several bills. After the 3rd day, the money was put on "hard hold" which threw my account into negative status. The customer service line rep said that the hold was due to suspicious activity with my employers account. They advised me to contact my employer and ask them to follow up with their bank. My employer verified that the funds were already sent to Wells Fargo and that they were sitting with the money and could not be reissued since they were paid out. My emplyer scanned me a copy of the transaction between the banks along with the branch manager's signature and date of verification. I again contacted WF customer service and they told me to go to my l9cal branch office. When I arrived, I was told that there was nothing they could do to release my funds even with proof of the transaction. I finally got to speak with the manager who wanted me to call customer service. I informed her that they directed me there and she stated "they are just passing the buck" and was visibly annoyed. I am a customer in need of my funds and am not responsible for poor relations between departments within their company! She said they were unable to help because it was a "back office" issue. I emailed her a copy of the scanned transaction record and pled for resolution. After a few hours of waiting for a return call from the branch manager, I spoke with the escalation department to file a complaint. They forwarded my to the loss department. I've been on hold for 2 hours! Banks are closed. I have no money to buy gas or food, pay my car note or rent. I feel that I have been undervalued as a customer and treated unfairly by customer service and the Austin, TX 183 branch. If I get my funds back, I'll be moving on from WF, with whom I have banked with for 20 years. Until then, I can be reached at the local soup kitchen! Now I am finding other similar reviews about WF. They need to work out their internal departmental relations and not put the human in the middle of their disagreement. Unprofessional and unfair.
Desired outcome: Release hold and provide better customer service

ATM withdrawal
I tried to withdraw from the ATM from wells Fargo the transaction was declined but I was still charged and I did dispute it but it was denied I've called and tried to get it fixed but they said they was no wrong doing on there end Its not right having to pay for something that I didn't receive all I want is my 150 dollar back is that to hard to ask
Desired outcome: My money back
checking and savings account
I had multiple transfers in and out of my accounts with no activity of fraud or any trace of suspicious activity. Wells fargo then decided to put a "hard hold" on my account and denied me access to withdraw my own money. They then said they are going to close my account on 5/10/22. It has been 3 days after and i can still see my available balance on my account, but cannot do anything with it, when i try to it says "no available accounts".
Desired outcome: I would like my funds sent back to me via mail instead of being held hostage, it has been way more then enough time at this point and cannot get a straight answer. This is not fair to me.
Credit Card Application online
4/22/22 I applied for a balance transfer with zero fee in the amount of $12,000. dollars at Well Fargo online. I was sent an e-mail saying I received a credit line of $2,500. and they later sent out a balance transfer for $2,139 to one of my accounts on May 6th. I did not even know they would do a transfer since they did not give me the 12,000. I asked for. My new balance is $2,203.17 I did not have an option to refuse. I would have refused this offer. Clearly this is not a zero fee transfer and looks like fraud since I did not agree to this offer.
Desired outcome: Return my funds in total. I have already cancelled this account at Wells Fargo.
Wrong amount given at wells fargo bank atm
I have been a customer at the same Wells Fargo Bank for over 16 years. Last month, I went to the Wells Fargo bank ATM and withdrew money and was shorted $100. I counted it several times and immediately notified the bank within minutes. They said they would investigate it and I was notified I was getting a temporary credit of $100. It's been almost two months now and yesterday I got a notice in the mail from the ATM Claims Department that they are reversing my credit and deducting the $100. So, here I am back where I started, missing my $100. I feel bad that they don't consider me a valued customer at 16 years.
Desired outcome: I want my $100.

April 5,2022 I discovered my IRS refund was switched to this wells Fargo account that a family member fraudulently opened in my name I found out threw rebublic Bank so I called Wells Fargo immediately and a very nice lady helped me close the first account and opened a new account and transferred funds in from fraudulent account she then made a appointment to go into a branch I went to branch they changed online username and password... mind you I drove 5 hours to a branch they wouldn't give me my money they left it in the account that the family member accessed the new one sent herself several thousand dollars to herself through zelle I then go in a branch called corporate they said they closed the account and loss prevention was mailing the funds to the family member who took my identity cause that's the address on file I'm in complete shock I just want my money I don't even want to bank with Wells Fargo I then called loss prevention and they said go to a branch I'm scared to drive a 5 hour trip there and a 5 hour trip home I've done it 3 times already why are they saying one thing and doing another I will not stop until justice is served and I get my money that I busted my butt for please resolve this matter don't make your name bad 😞 I placed fraud asked them to put hold and they still let this family member still access the account please there isn't much money left I shouldn't be the one punished for your customer service agents helping this lady pretend she is me to gain access to the account PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY
Desired outcome: Please refund me my 12,550.10
Home mortgage / refi trickery
theres so much I hope I can remember everything . In 2004 Wachovia /then Wells Fargo.agreed to finance my home & property of 230K for 688/month for 30 years at 8 % interest. then shortly raised my monthly payments tripled of our original agreement but still at 8% when interest rates were everywhere 3%. I struggled , faltered & finally asked for refi in 2015. here begins the fun!(if you like fraud, you are going to love this!. they first said stop paying the monthly ,. you have 6 mo before foreclosure is instituted. so I did. then in the middle of winter in colorado, had to go into the WF branch to fax my docs thru th snow. so the excuse of "not a timely basis " could be the excuse! all requested docs were delivered the same day or within 24 hrs at the most. then half way thru they needed a 4506 from the IRS & when then IRs couldnt comply on time they denied the refi! And part of the way thru the refi they closed my mortgage acct reissued a new number so all history was lost! Added an acct for insurance without permission(dropped it after I complained but never refunded the money they charged me for) And when the refi was denied, because it took more than 6 mo for all this faldarall, started foreclosure proceedings! I was able to obtain help from my family to stop it but no thanks to WF ! because they canceled my first loan acct... it erased all history of a 10 year old bank loan so my credit rating fell to the floor. There are so many more incidents involved too numerous to list here but I have all the docs. they totally screwed me.I lost an entire year of life from running the docs around and worry and LOSTjob& lost 300K company & lost health! they owe me big time .I asked for legal help no atty would go there! will you dare!?the agents of refi were Jamie Schaeffer & Paige Brown. theres more I can provide!
Desired outcome: Loss & duress restitution min $500000.
Lizabeth Romero / falsifying documents to gain employment
Lizabeth Romero mishandled my case and disregarded protocol, she spoke more about her working environment and her leadership than asking me questions to better resolve my issue. She reassured me that my case would fall under my favor but she lied to me stating "I can only do so much, it was her leadership that made the call." I continued to ask her questions and nothing was answered. She did not know what she was doing.
Lizabeth Romero falsified documents to gain employment within your Fraud & Claims Operations department.
Lizabeth Romero does not have any educational criteria requested for employment.
Lizabeth Romero does not have a High School Diploma / GED or any school equivalent.
A simple google gave me all the information about your employee.
I recommend you look into employee work requirements like a simple High School Diploma or a background check before hiring people to deal with others individuals finances.
I would suggest addressing this immediately. I will be sending this to your higher headquarters and also give it to the media.
It will read: Wells Fargo minimizing their hiring requirements with zero education and zero required qualifications. Wells Fargo employee with no education or work experience mishandled fraud claims per supervisor request.
Desired outcome: I recommend you look into employee work requirements like a simple High School Diploma or a background check before hiring people to deal with others individuals finances.

My Mother passed away July 17, 2021. The House and loan were in her name. We sent the first requested information after notification to Wells Fargo on Aug.4. 2021. After 3 months of not hearing anything, called. A case manager had not even been assigned yet. We went to a Probate meeting, we didn't have to go through Probate though. We got a list of heirs affidavit, which was also sent. Then hired a Lawyer to Change the Deed. The Deed is now filed with the State of Virginia that it is in our name. The Deed was also sent. Got a certified letter from Wells Fargo that they hoped to have it done by March31, 22, but didn't, so we would hear by April 11th. Hadn't heard anything so on April 14th called. Still nothing. All along we thought this would transfer the loan to us, but on April 14th, 22, found out it would allow us to leave the loan in my Mother's name and pay it with no access to it online, refinance it or try to assume it. How long will that take? I mean it isn't even to the point where we can start that process yet and it has been 9 months. Loosing my Mother was bad enough, but having to deal with this mess is ridiculous. A compliant has also been filed with the Better business Bureau. We have made every payment on time, most of the time very early.
Desired outcome: Get the final Problems of my Mother's estate solved

On April 8, 2022, I deposited a check from XXXXXX, amount $XXXXXX into my checking account. I went to the bank, 8210 Gateway Overlook Drive, Elkridge, MD. Nihal Elmachrohi waited on me. Ms. Elmachrohi told me the funds would be available on Saturday, April 9, 2022 (I have receipt proof).
She said that since I have been banking with Wells Fargo for 20+ years, she was approving funds available next day.
Well, today, April 10, 2022, I see there is a hold on the funds. I have made payments via my checking account to cover XXXXXXXXXXXXX based on the statement from Ms. Elmachrohi saying the funds would be available the next day. This is going to cause my checking account to be overdrawn and incur overdraft fees. Not acceptable! I am told sorry, we can’t do anything about it.
I am so angry at Wells Fargo. While it may be Wells Fargo policy to hold the funds, I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOLD THE FUNDS WOULD BE AVAILABLE THE NEXT DAY. This is incompetence and deceit.
Scam
On March 7, 2022 I received a letter from Wells Fargo with an inactive account to my company name. I did recall creating an account a few years back and I was under the impression it contained 500.00 and there were no charges for the account.
I called the bank and the person said they can send me to a business person to obtain my fees back since I was unaware the account did not contain the minimum balance (they claim it 460.00 – which I do not recall and have no idea why) and have never received anything in the mail outside of this letter so I was unaware they were charging me fees every month for the last few years.
As a small businessperson I open all my mail and save everything – including every bank statement I receive. Yet I never received any bank statements from Wells Fargo.
I received a call from Jamie W and I called her back. We connected on [protected] where she informed me of her efforts to contact me and she research everything by reading me her mail and declared that the bank sent me statements every month and even notified me of a change of account where these charges started? Yet - I again said no one loses every single piece of mail. I have never received anything outside of the letter attached. She recommends I call the post office since they may have my mail - only Wells Fargo mail was held - not? Sorry but there is clearly an error on the bank side. I don’t think anything was mailed and if I received a statement, I would have corrected the problem immediately.
However, 5 days ago I received an email (also attached) an automated email saying my account was changed to mail. I read this to Jamie W and she proceeded to say it was not from her - but it was the day she emailed me and her email was rejected rendering my email account as invalid since she makes no errors. Hmm – all the other Wells Fargo emails were received, none said contact us or there is a problem, and my email was valid enough to receive the notice attached but again they make no errors?
I escalated and it was reviewed by Larry. Since the post office did not return the mail to Wells Fargo (these imaginary statements) – the bank feels they did their due diligence.
They had my address, email address and my phone number and waited until they took over 350.00 in fees for a 500.00 account before notifying me and rendering the account inactive (and even after I contacted them – they continue to take fees from the account even though they stated it was inactive).
I went to the bank and they did not understand why Well Fargo wasn’t returning my fees. That they understood that if I received a statement or any notification, I would have removed my funds or changed the account to avoid service fees. That no one loses 4 years’ worth of mail.
This is fraud. They had many ways to contact me and I swear that I thought all along that it had 500.00 in the account and it was safe – it is in a bank. I can show 8 years of bank statements from all my financial institutions and no statement from Well Fargo.
Desired outcome: Return my services fees - which is well over 350.00 now that you keep taking money on an inactive account.

US customs at ohare airport
I am writing to you on an URGENT basis.
I am writing on behalf of Spencer Nowak. Spencer has been working overseas in Qatar on stadiums being built for the FIFA World Cup. When he left the states for this job, for his protection, he put his bank account on hard freeze to protect his assets.
Spencer had a flight from Qatar on 01/10/22 and was to arrive in Chicago on 01/11/22. See picture of boarding pass. Incidentally ticket arrangements were made by his company Suffolt Construction in NY.
While in Qatar Spencer made a purchase of gold over in Qatar and has all the necessary documentation to show ownership, which has been confirmed by the Customs Border Patrol to be in good order. On 01/11/22, Spencer was finally arrived in Chicago. He arrived at the O’Hare airport in Chicago on 1/11/22. He then proceeded to get a connecting flight to Sioux City, Iowa, where I was to pick him up, which I did, just to find he wasn’t on the flight. Apparently while checking his bags in, thinking he was doing everything correctly he was stopped by Customs. He apparently was to see Customs before he boarded or went through the checkout. They have detained him and now has been held in detainment since the 11th of January.
He has now been told he needs to pay $22,000 in fees before he can proceed and he is now being detained until that fee can be paid. That money was paid. Now they are asking for an additional $10,000 for him to get on his way. I don’t have that much money. I asked him, “Can you call your bank since you are back in the states?” (He told me earlier he had put his bank account in a hard freeze as he was going to be out of the country). Asking to see if he could get his money to pay from his account. Whoever he spoke to apparently recognized his voice but was told in order to lift this hold it needed to be a person-to-person visit. “I told you yesterday my banker can’t do anything because they need me in person.” As Spencer said, “does this look like I can do a person-to-person visit”. See Photo of him being detained. He could be in detainment for 10 years! It will take me forever to get that much money around. Ten years because he can’t get to his account to pay this fine from his own personal bank account!
All of this can be checked out by calling Spencer himself at above number, which I have to wait until he calls me as I can’t get through as he is on the Hangouts and my calls don’t go through so I have to wait until he calls me. How can he get to his money to pay this fine when he is detained? He is your customer. He can’t leave the airport. He is being held in Customs in a jail cell with an orange jump suit like a criminal. He says he feels like he is a criminal and is the farthest thing from that. There are several Wells Fargo Banks in Chicago. Is there anyway they can come to the airport to confirm Spencer’s identity or can he sign something stating who he is and take responsibility for his actions to pay this fine from his account? He can show you his passport and all identification but he can’t leave detainment for a person-to-person visit. Please help as he is a single father with his son back here in the states who misses his dad very much. I am in contact with his son but have not said anything to his son. We don’t want to scare him.
Today I said, “I wish your bank would understand.” Spencer said, “I have tried. Can you help me get this settled?” Thus you are receiving this letter. It is my only hope.
Is there anyway a Wells Fargo bank officer can go to Customs at O’Hare airport to verify Spencer’s identity so his bank account can be unfrozen so he can pay this fine and he can come home. I don’t want him to be detained for 10 years, when he can pay this fine but bank won’t let him due to this person-to-person visit. He has all identify to show his identity.
I am begging for your help. Spencer is getting very depressed and this is not like him at all. I told him I would do anything I could. His identity can be confirmed but he is detained and can’t come to you so I’m asking you to go to him. Please help us get this resolved quickly.
I do also have a picture of him in the jail cell with an orange jump suit on but it does not load for me. I do have it in a letter that I have sent to his bank though. He is being treated just like a hard criminal, which he certainly is not and has never disobeyed the law.
By the way the reasoning for purchasing gold is that he is wanting to retire and start his own jewelry business like his dad had in Poland.
It would be different if we had family to go to for the money but we don't.
I'm writing as I have no other avenue to go. Please get back soon.
Sincerely,
Christine Kluver

He is not a criminal and all his documents are in order and thought all his documentation was in order, which Customs says it was but needed to report to customs separately apparently. I don't know and neither did he as I've never gone overseas.
Desired outcome: Please have his account unfrozen, have someone from Wells Fargo come to Customs at Ohare to verify his identity or have Customs release him so he can verify his identity at the bank and pay his fine and get on his way back to Iowa.
