WesBank written off amount

Good day

I have a uno mia financed through Wesbank. In 2011 I lost my job and made a lump sum payment onto the account. I tried to pay the remaining balance but could not do so. I was left with an amount of R5000.00 to settle.

No one contacted me for about 4 years regarding the balance. Late 2015 my husband got a job. I then went into FNB to find out if I could make arrangements to pay off the R5000. I was then advised by a consultant that the amount has been written off and I can collect my cars papers at Wesbank. A month after that attorneys called me demanding the full payment. I told them that according to the branch the amount has been written off and according to my knowledge the debt has been prescribed.

I then phoned in to make arrangements to collect my papers and they put me through to a consultant called Lucas. He was so rude and actually dropped the phone in my ear.

I never heard from them again till sometime last year when I called in again to find out about my papers. They said that they didn't have my number to call me which I found strange as first of all the attorneys called me and I called in to Wesbank confirming my number. Again I spoke to this Lucas guy who again was very rude on the phone and could not assist me. I then told him I was going to escalate this further and he said I should go ahead.
I've called in numerous occasions to the complaints department but I am put through from one employee to another.

Who can I speak to as I cant lodge a complaint with the ombudsman before I lodge a complaint with Wesbank.

Wesbank is the worst bank to have your vehicle financed with.

WesBank terrible service and daylight robbery

There was a time I took Wesbank as one of the best and chose it at the time because of that and it was all good when I was paying my monthly installments, I then skipped few payments and was surprised with a call from the 3rd party saying they want to come and collect my car whilst Wesbank never called me at any day. Called Andre-De Bryn and she was rude but I need help and I managed to pay R35K on my account making it about 20K in advance and all was well.

I then received a call from Wesbank for the first time ( this case not returning my call ) The lady asked me if I would be paying monthly or will I wait for the advance money to be depleted in December before paying my monthly instalments and I said I will wait for December to make the last payment of R25K to settle my account in which she agreed and thanked me for the payment. Prior to that I called Andre after the payment and she told me that my account will be R25K nothing more was then discussed.

Few months down the line I recieve an email telling me that am in errears of R32K and they are coming to take their car, I immediately called back to find out why and Coleen Pretorious was not have more information on the matter and promised to call me back, Hell broke loose when I came in as a worried client of Wesbank but was met with rudeness and I have never been belittled in that way in my life. There is no proffessionalism in that lady nor respect in Andre and I could not stand her and I left without being assisted.

I guess the first thing low paying client and that I am an un-educated black man ( as she kept on correcting my grammer and all) what I need to know if dont you have a service desk that calls clients to arrange payments or you just sale accounts to collectors and secondly does Wesbank have values and who gets to follow them lastly how do you expect to keep clients if you dont build a relationship with them.

I owe Wesbank R37K and currently R10K in-advice and i would like to be treated as a client and respected as one above all.

kindly have someone look at my account and sort this mess.

regards,

WesBank account [protected] mj degli umberti - threatening service from ssda

I had a dispute with Wesbank regarding the outstanding balance that had to be paid back after the vehicle in question was repossessed. None the less I asked the Ombud to assist which was done and there was a ruling made in my favour to pay R200 000.00 to Wesbank (R1000_ a month without interest)
I was contacted by a company SSD last week their contact number [protected]. The lady who called informed me that my account was handed over to them by Wesbank for collections. She requested me to make payment arrangements for an outstanding amount of R204 000.00. I informed her her information is incorrect and then contacted Wesbank. Mpho from Wesbank [protected] informed me that yes Wesbank made a business decision, but that my outstanding is not what this lady is saying and also that he will contact her and request her to provide me with the correct details. I did inform him that the agreement was made with Wesbank, I was not informed by Wesbank of any other arrangements. The arrangement I have is standing and I do not want to change anything. I have also not once received any statements from Wesbank for all the years that I have paid. The last telephonic outstanding balance was R52 000.

I am now receiving threatening sms's from SSD that I am going to be handed over and so forth for not paying my account which is in arrears. ...
Can I have this resolved please, or do I need to work through the Ombud again. As per the arrangement Banks have with the Ombud you have 20 days to resolve this matter. Any handing over or reporting me as a bad payer, etc, will result in me taking personal action against Wesbank.

WesBank car that got written off by the insurance company and now wesbank has been delaying the process of releasing it to repudiation auction

My mothers car was in an accident and got written off, Budget insurance company decided to cancel my moms insurance since they didn't wanna pay for the damages due to unclear reasons.

However the car was towed from Mseleni to Empangeni for assessment, then it was moved to Durban and that is when the insurance decided to cancel. This happened +/- 49 days ago. Now Repudiations auction offered my mom a deal of R15 000 for the remainings of the car which was going to be put in the Wesbank account to try and help with paying back the car. My mom was asked to sign documents granting Repudiations auction permission to sell the car, she did as told. She was then informed that it is all in the hands of Wesbank to approve the deal. The lady incharge of my mom account at Wesbank has been missing in action for sometime now. Emails have been sent to her and phone calls but she doesn't respond and now the lien of the car keeps going up. Repudiations auction nations emailed Tricia a few times informing her about the lien but we still haven't received feedback. My mom was told that she is the one delaying the process because she hasn't submitted certain documents tou wesbank. But now when we contact them for these documents, no one is responding and no one hasn't sent any forms that they keep saying they are outstanding.

Now we are away that as the lien of the car goes up each day it will teach the value that Repudiations auction nations is offering and then they will have full rights to the car?

It is very stressful that we've spent so much money calling them and emailing but no one is talking responsibility.

The Wesbank ladies are Rehana and Tricia.

I received a private call from one of your consultants today. She was extremely unprofessional and arrogant. She told me that the call is being recorded, but the thing that made me most angry was the fact that she spoke while I was speaking and that she threatend me (financially). I am extremely unhappy with the service I have been receiving. I will never recommend Wesbank to anyone. Apparently I am in arrears with my vehicle, which I have been paying each and every month since 2014. DUE TO LOW CASH FLOW. I went under debt review in 2015, which Wesbank quickly accepted. Now all of a sudden I am being told, that Wesbank has the right to insure their vehicles (so insure your vehicles at Wesbanks own costs) and that my debt review account is going to be terminated if I do not pay the accounts arreas. How could insurance be included (when they already agreed to the payment methods through summits) by Wesbank into my account without my knowledge (send me the documentation papers which I signed were as I acknowledged that Wesbank could include insurance at anytime, like Wesbank is trying to do now) and I have been asking for the documentation which I signed were as they made me aware of this? Firstly I will not be forced to take out insurance which I could not afford. I still made sure payments are made on the vehicle every month since 2014. According to my knowledge if insurance is not paid for 3 consecutive months it falls away and it stays my decision to have insurance of not. I cannot afford insurance at this time. I AM UNDER DEBT REVIEW FOR A REASON, CASH FLOW IS LOW.

WesBank vehicle finance unethical behaviour

In 2015 I lost my Job and did not work for several months! However I still did try to make all my payments on my Vehicle. I only missed 1 or 2. The moment I got a new Job again I started paying the full monthly amount, I even added between R1500 and /R2000 to the monthly payment to try and catch up.
Now in March 2017 this guy shows up at my house one Friday afternoon and wants to reposess my vehicle. I told him that he could not as we need the vehicle. He gave me time until the Monday. On the Tuesday I had to take the vehicle in to them! I asked the guy for a copy of the Court Order or Summons and he showed me a paper but refused to give me a Copy.
The next day a Lady called me from Wesbank and told me the vehicle is repossed and contract is cancelled by the Court. I tried making arrangements with her but she refused to help me!
I submitted a Complaint to Wesbank to the Specialised Collections Team Leader. He investigated and replied back to me that they could not assist me and that they have followed all the steps they needed to!
I strongly do not agree with this as I never received any kind of Notice or Demand or Final Demand! I never received a Summons or Court Order of any kind! They say they did try to contact me and they say they did come to my house but there was never anyone there!
This I do not believe as my wife does not work and is at home! I am home every day after 16:00 and on Weekends! My address has always been the same and my contact numbers have not changed! How is it possible that when they wanted to take the vehicle back then they found me at my house but for the letters, demands, summons and Court orders they could not find me!
If I did not want to keep the vehicle I would not have tried to catch up on my payments and I would not have made extra payments! I would have just stopped paying but I didn't!

All I want is my Vehicle back and for Wesbank to Re-Finance the Settlement amount for my Vehicle! I will still pay them!

WesBank mrs madeleine brand // [protected] wesbank

I need very urgent help.

I bought my car in 2012, in 2012 after going through a very difficult divorce I went to debt counseling to get some help.

It was never discussed with me from Debt Busters or Wesbank that I will be re-finance.

In Dec 2015 company closed down I worked for and I had no work, still I made payments towards my car.
2016 I was taken off debt counseling as I could not make the full payments, without any written confirmation from any one.

I was handed over by Wesbank without any explanation or help.

I have been threatened many times by Wesbank, some of the months I paid almost R4000 payment requested R1700 + arrears
I was not informed by Wesbank that I was in arrears only when I was taken off by debt counseling I phoned/ emails Wesbank said I was R6000 in arrears.

I told them I could not afford to pay all of the arrears as I had a temp job and R6000 + normal payment was not fair as I was not informed.

Yes Wesbank told me I can pay the arrears off, but what they do not consider is this was circumstances and if you do not earn the same amount of money or without work then they need to have some compassion and rather help than to threaten a customer.

The worse part is I have always kept the debt counselors in the loop with every detail that changed in my life and also when I was taken off. I went to all my creditors and explained what was happening.

Since last year I have been in so many fights with Wesbank - they refuse to assist me to re-finance, as according to them it was already done when I handed myself over for debt counseling.

I am begging them to help me, I paid more than 60% off towards my car and not running away I just want to pay less. I do have a job now but at this stage I cannot even buy food as my expenses are more than my income.

What can I do?

Wesbank said if I do not pay R4000 + R1700 in April they will take my car.
I cannot loose my car I paid more than 60% and will continue paying, but to be threatened is not very nice. Wesbank can rather take less money per month than repossessing the car.

Who can I speak to? I will keep om fighting ...

Kind Regards

WesBank stalker like calling 5-6 time a day daily

I go a car loan from Wesbank and I am not sure if for doing this it gives them the right to stalk you for useless stuff like "were your details filled in correctly" just how many calls do you need to make to ask this question. I have been call 5-6 times a day for the last 3 weeks on a daily basis, and dispite having being told it wont happen again an hour later...yes you guessed it I got a call asking me if they could contact me in future for any promotions or future products, you would think tthey have mor important things to deal with than stalking customers, Please avoid using wesbank if you can, thier service is really horrific

WesBank settlement of written off vehicle

Wesbank must be the worst finance house to deal with. Had an accident in my Audi on 27 Oct 2015. My insurance (SASFIN - underwritten by Hollard) advised the car was a write off and I requested a settlement figure from Wesbank for my insurance to settle the outstanding amount. I received a letter on 12 Nov 2015 with the quoted settlement of R142 883.54, which I passed onto my insurance. My insurance advised that Wesbank had informed them that they handle insurance settlements differently than with the client and Wesbank would send SASFIN a revised settlement. A few days later I received the Agreement Of Loss from SASFIN with the amount of R140 827.61 showing as the bank settlement. SASFIN paid Wesbank on 18 November.
At the end of Nov, Wesbank debited my car instalment off my account. I returned the installment thinking that Wesbank had not completed the cancellaton of the debit order. In Dec Wesbank tried to debit my account again. I returned the payment, and sent a mail to their service dept on 28 Dec querying these debits. On 31 Dec a Gift Moloi from Wesbank responded claiming that Wesbank had not received the settlement from SASFIN and that I was responsible for paying the instalments until the settlement had been paid. On 4 Jan SASFIN sent Wesbank the proof of payment dated 18 November 2015. From then till 22 Feb, followed a series of sms's and mails from Wesbank and eventually a statement claiming I now owe them R5242.17. I handed this over to SASFIN for them to sort out. I eventually got Wesbank's settlement letter to SASFIN . Therein they advised that the settlement amount was R140 827.61 PLUS i still had to PAY THEM ANOTHER INSTALMENT OF R3391.00. That comes to R144 218.61, which is R1 335.07 MORE than what they originally quoted me! Thats crookery!
On 10 June I received an sms from a Hellen Leboho at Wesbank requesting me to call them regarding an outstanding amount. I did so and explained what the problem appeared to be. Hellen promised a call back within a few days. This didn't happen. Weeks later she called me claiming that I did owe them money. I referred this back to SAFIN. SASFIN's response was that it was out of their hands and it was now my problem. Shame on SASFIN. (And they are still my insurers - not for long though, if this is they way they treat their customers.) Over the last few weeks Hellen has phoned me a few times, but her timing was bad as I was in meetings. The promise to call back in an hour on each occassion never happened. Today I got another call from Hellen. We went through the same palarva again...and this time Hellen was rude, very rude. Constantly interrupting me and threatening me. She claimed she had a letter of settlement that she sent to SASFIN for R144 218.61. I asked her to mail it to me. It is the same letter that SASFIN sent me months after the fact. When I pointed out to Hellen that I had not seen this letter until months after the fact, and that it had come from SASFIN and NOT Wesbank, she responded that SASFIN should have paid the full R144 218.61. Then she says that I am still indebted to the bank. When I pointed out that I have settled many cars in the past and had never been requested to pay a settlement amount PLUS ANOTHER INSTALMENT, she had no answer for that. And then she slammed the phone down in my ear. How rude. Very unprofessional and puts Wesbank in an even poorer light than they already are. I will NEVER finance another vehicle through Wesbank.

WesBank arrangement to pay account in arrears

My vehicle payments are three months in arrears due to illness and a recent operation.I asked WesBank if I can pay my dept in arrears at R3000 per month plus the recent installment. Me Heunis at WesBank answered me after three days and three emails that the bank cant except my offer because of two facts 1. I never changed my address according to law . ANSWER : I never moved from the recent address, my family and household are still there.2. The bank could not find me at the address on the contract and dont have my contact details.ANSWER : My contact details and address are still the same, the bank never phoned me or try to visit me at the address provided.I got witnesses and video material as well as 24 hour security to proof this.It seems that certain persons at the bank are feeding false information to the courts just to get court orders to obtain commission. They cant even answer you openly on an email when you want to be present on the court order application. They even try to threaten you to hand back your vehicle to the bank when you are still busy with arrangements to go and work overseas for an better income.I cant see why WesBank cant accept my arrangements to try to catch up my installments in arrears and then give out false information to their superiors and the courts to obtain commission .

WesBank lack of efficiency in handling my late mothers termination and documents requested to finalise her affairs

Please find below my formal complaint to Wesbank detailing my complaint. If anyone knows an email address or contact details for their CEO or Director I'd be very grateful as I need to resolve this ASAP.

Dear Sirs,

Re: Formal complaint regarding the handling of my deceased mother's documents needed from my mothers bank to finalise her affairs / Gail Anne Pegg / D.O.B 31/10/1943

My mother had her finance with you for her car. To date I have not received one single adequate response to my questions and need for a recent statement and loan agreement with you. I keep on receiving emails asking repeatedly to send my mothers ID and death certificate, in order to proceed over the last 3 weeks. I have repeatedly sent this through and the only response I receive is re-asking for these documents again and again.

I am a single mother in Australia with two small children. I am trying to deal with the grief of losing my mother as well as ensuring my two small children are supported in their grieving for the sudden loss of their beloved Grandmother. This process is painful enough without having to go through such an arduous and frustrating process with Wesbank.

To date the inefficient handling of my mothers case from Wesbank has only made this process much harder, having to repeatedly re-send my mothers documents through is a repeated and painful reminder of how much I miss her.

Please can you send me the details of your CEO and customer Service Director as whilst Wesbank are not dealing with my requests my mothers debts are accruing interest and I cannot finalise anything with her bank her executors. Wesbank are holding up the entire process and if no one is able to respond efficiently I will be investigating how to claim back money from Wesbank for this, whilst waiting for an adequate response.

Please see all messages plus all information required sent to you as evidence of my complaint. These emails will be sent separately in two additional emails with the same title as they are too big data wise to include in one email.

I am now asking for the following:
1. Contact details for your CEO and Director.
2.One assigned person to deal with this.
3.Registration certificate for my mothers vehicle
4. Recent statement in respect to any finance

I look forward to hearing from you ASAP. Please note South Africa is 9 hours behind Australia.

Yours sincerely
Carolyn Little

WesBank arrears balance

I have finance for my vehicle with Wesbank and up until recently I haven't had any problems. About 3 and a half years ago I applied for debt review to try consolidate my debt so I could pay a smaller instalment each month. I went through the tough process of lawyers letters and debt collectors phoning for years. After several unforeseen circumstances I informed my debt counsellor that I no longer wanted to be under debt review. I had to contact all my creditors and inform them that I would be paying them directly. The companies went through the process of re-arranging my instalments and I was informed by Wesbank that because of the debt review I now had to pay R24 000 of arrears payments in order to keep my car. I made an arrangement to get the money and I was able to settle that debt. Several months went by and Wesbank contacted me again to tell me that I now needed to pay another arrears payment as they had restructured my debt once again. I tried arguing and telling them that I was told previously that in order to carry on paying my normal instalment I needed to settle the arrears of R24 000. Now they were telling me that I needed to pay another R5 100. Luckily I was able to get Wesbank to agree for me to settle the arrears over 3 months of R1 700 added to my normal instalment of R2 400. Then today I get another phone call from a rude lady telling me that she wants me to pay an amount of R4 100 every month until my car is paid off (the outstanding balance is sitting at around R17 000). I told her that I made an arrangement with Wesbank to pay R4 100 for 3 months and then pay my normal instalment until my car is paid off. She was so rude she asked me if I have this in black or white and how will I go about proving that I made this arrangement? I was under the impression Wesbank kept all their phone calls for quality control purposes so they can use that to prove my case, Im extremely unhappy at the service I have gotten from Wesbank and would like answers as to why I keep getting harassed by employees at Wesbank and yet I have done nothing wrong

WesBank payment arrangement

I have a complaint against Wesbank and I have promised myself I will never finance with then again. I made payment arrangements with them 5 months ago and they requested that I go to my bank (Absa) and request that they stop the debit order and that it would kick in again as per normal from the next month. The following month, I expected for them to reinstate the debit order but was told that this was now my responsibility. When I go to my bank, they are edament that wesbank is responsible for reinstating. This has resulted in my account being arrears and me having to pay them at the bank all the time as the details they gave me for internet banking are not valid. Today I received a call from some guy (claiming to be a representative of Wesbank) that he would like to see if I still have the car and that it is still in good condition... not sure if it's a trick to get it repossessed.

WesBank unauthorized debit order debited against our bank account

On the first of November an debitorder amount of R5049.72 was debited against our tjek account. Looking into the matter Wesbank admit they made a mistake and will refund the amount. Today is the 21 November and still no refunding. When I borrow money from the bank, I pay interest. Wesbank took money from us three weeks ago, they admit their mistake and must correct it. How save is First National and Wesbank if money are taken so easily without our knowledge?

WesBank westbank useless

After al lot off e-mails and still no response I called them to ask why are my instalments now suddenly more, then they told me they do not have on the system that I have comprehensive cover.
Westbank just deducted money for car insurance without my consent.
I called my insurance myself and even e-mail it to wesbank.
Now a week later and my account is still in arrears. They do not fix it.
What can I do about this incompetent wesbank?

I am a Wesbank client and have been for the past 7 or so years. In all the years that I have had any form of debt I have never skipped a payment . All Debit orders are processed by a 3rd party - Bankserve - who are the go between Wesbank and my Bank. All debit orders between the 21st and 25th of April were due to an error at Bankserve not run between Wesbank and my Bank, and as a result they came back with the error message - unpaid. Bankserve informed all these institutions to resubmit the debit orders. All the other institutions - namely, OUTsurance, Momentum etc did so and there were no problems. Wesbank, however wait till the 11th of May and then have an arrears consultant call me and say that I have not paid my car - oblivious of the error that occured. I then asked her to resubmit the debit order and to give me a letter explaining that the error was not mine - I did also email the letter from my bank explaining the problem. Today 12 May I get an SMS saying that I am now likely to have an adverse credit record. I call again 12 May at 10h30 but as at close of business today have not had a phone call or letter as requested.

want to apply for loan but declined by saying that I owe Wesbank some arrears amount of money eventhough I have just paid my Wesbank account after the required date and that happened once.

WesBank unfair decline of application

I made an application for finance through a dealer on the 5th of May 2010.With the promise of getting a response within 2 hours. But only to get a response on the 12th of May 2010. And the response was declined for an unfair reason. I have an account with FNB and the account has a savings pocket attached to it. Somehow all my money was in the savings pocket and a single debit order failed to come off the cheque account, which is literally the same account. I resolved the issue with the service provider amicably and for that reason I have been denied a loan and I do not know if anyone can hear my appeal except through this website.
