poor customer service
Store 1401 POS 009 TRANS 2015 16:36 14/07/2018
My family and I are out of town and we visited the bws store wanting to buy alcohol. The woman who served us at the cashier was following protocol when she asked my brother (who is 28) for ID. He did not have it on him as he left it in the car and needed to go get it. During this time though the woman who served us was not very polite when advising us of why she is asking etc. She was rude, and I told her there was no need to give us attitude. She became defensive and said she is not giving us attitude. Her body language and facial expressions expressed otherwise making the whole situation very uncomfortable and upsetting for my parents who aren't very familiar with the law (they are both from Europe visiting). I however work at a bar and I am extremely appalled that a woman worker working at bws who would have to deal with these sort of scenarios often handled it in such a way. In fact us as the customers attempted to lighten the situation and not the assistant. The woman was blonde and quite older also possibly in her 40s-50s. My father asked her if she really thought we would break the law to which she smuggly responded "I don't know you from a bar of soap". I really dont feel that a woman like that should be working in a customer service role. This woman needs to get some customer service training urgently so as not to tarnish the bws/woollworths brand.
closing time
Hi
I walked into Woolworth Highlands, Melbourne Victoria at 9.45pm Friday July 13th and was not allowed to go in and buy anything as service supervisor said we are closed. The store closes at 10pm if the store will not allow customers to enter 15 min before closing time Woolworth need to inform customers . What a disappointment I wasn't allowed to enter to buy 2 items after rushing to Woolworth knowing that they close at 10
mixed leaf, leafy mix (120 g)
Hi Woolworths,
The other day whilst preparing my salad, I used the Mixed Leaf, Leafy Mix (120 g) and found two (2) twigs, approx 7 cm long each in this packet.
I actually happened to bite down on one, and then found the other one as I searched through my salad.
I would like to be adequately compensated for this unpleasant occurrence.
Many thanks
plastic bags
What do we now do with used tissues full of phlegm, dirty nappies, dog's droppings, prawn heads etc? Many of us shopped at Woolworths to get the free plastic bags so as we can hygienically dispose of rubbish so our garbage bins are clean & don't stink. Many people are furious at this decision by Woolworths and certainly won't be paying for plastic bags.
bws gift card
I purchase a Woolworths, BWS $100.00 gift card online and paid by credit card, unfortunately I entered an incorrect email address for the recipient and when I called an hour later was told this could not be fixed and I couldn't resend it or get a refund. My order number is 2450653. I have emailed numerous times and don't even get a reply. I keep getting emails to say the card hasn't been redeemed. I just want to resend it or get a refund please.

service
I Would like to take the time to inform you of poor manners and practices displayed by your manager ( Dim ) at the hillsdale store in Sydney .
The other day I did a family food shop of around $180,
I purchased a tin of baby formula that was on special for $17.50 normal price $29 !
After paying and leaving the store I noticed I was charged full price .
Ok so I go back to the counter and inform a Woolworths lady of their mistake, the lady asked to give her a couple of minutes to double check !
She returns with the manager ( dim ) who informs me that the Tin of formula was incorrectly placed and that I wasn't intitled to the discount,
I responded by saying so how many people have bought this tin under false pretences ?
And wasn't I intitled to the discount under the scan of conduct code of practice,
He became very impatient and left leaving the lady to answer my concerns !
I asked for him to return so I could finish questioning Woolworths scanning codes !
He wouldn't have no time for me nor would he help in my concerns .
So as a result of this so called managers who lacks people skills,
I politely asked the lady to refund all of my food shop ( $180) and happily forwarded it into Aldi's purse which is located 20 meters from your store .
I will now shop at Aldi's on principles
From now on ... and to think this was all over a $10 saving is wrong !
It was the way your staff ignorantly chose to push my concerns away .
At one point it was hinted that I was maybe the one who placed the tin there !
That was it for me !
Made to look like a thief !
No more shopping at your stores !
service at woolworths ashfield
Today at woolworths Ashfield while we were shopping in the chilled section in front of the milk section a boy(son of an employee)passes by and shouts ‘stealing' at us.The employee was there with him and said nothing. When my husband asks did you say something to us?She started defending him and was very rude.We went to the duty manager and she and her son started abusing us.At one point when I said you can't be behaving like this just because you work here, she comes up to hit me infront of everyone including the staffs the duty manager in front of the front desk.I broke down completely and started crying. The duty manager just stops the lady and that was it.No other further steps were taken. She lies and defends her son instead of being sorry about his actions or words?I can not believe this happened in Woolworths today with me.She was being a complete bully and racist. She was misusing her powers. This is how Woolworths treat their customers? That too an employee herself?I thought customer comes first.Seems like employees and their children comes first.Duty Manager Luke refused to say her name to us.Her name was covered as she was wearing a sweater on top.I am hurt, disappointed and disgusted.I hope this never happens with anyone else.My husband has been serving woolworths for a long time.If this ever happened in front of him he would have stood up.He/his manager never tolerates a single thing against a customer. The staffs were justifying his words saying that it's just a saying.Really? You can dictate this sayings in your home not with a customer.Calling someone stealer when he/she is not and justifying it as a saying is ridiculous. Its a shame.I have been a loyal Woolworths customer since day 1 in Australia.Never expected this.
woolworths brands nespresso compatible coffee pods
Since purchasing this product, have noticed coffee granules flushing back into the water tank of our machine and foil on top of pods coming off whilst making a coffee. Machine is now making a strange noise. Have taken 2 photos. 1 of the foil coming off and 1 of coffee granules in water tank. We never had this problem with the previous select brand. This is the first purchase of these and already damage done to our machine. We hope this matter can be resolved. Thank you for your time.
chicken thigh fillet not fresh
I purchased over 600 grams of chicken thigh fillets from Woolworths Greensborough on Saturday morning 7th of July and when I went to use them on Tuesday 10th of July evening only 4 days later and they were off. Smelled bad so have thrown them out.
Lucky I noticed the smell. Others may not have and may have become very sick.
The cost was only $5.50 so can't be bothered getting a refund but I will not be shopping at Woolworths again.
Perhaps a health inspection is needed.
not being paid
I gave four weeks notice to leave after 27 yes at Woolies as a Butcher. My payroll number is 093176 Mark Hibbert.
My last day of work was 16 June 2018 and I still have not been paid my last pay. I ring every week and they say next week and it's out of their hands. This is not good enough and I want my final pay in 24hrs or I am going to the media and Fair Work commission.
woolworths online
I ordered Sunday night for 6am-9am window delivery for Monday. Monday came, it was late and I had half of my order and half of someone else's. The driver said the person before me must of got the other half and to call customer service. I did this, the person on the phone reordered my food for tues 11-1pm window, despite telling him I want it left at the door he did not write this on the reorder so the driver came and left and I did not get my order. I called again tues afternoon to get it delivered today for 6am-9am window. The driver got bogged as he tried to turn around on grass that was frosty as he couldn't reverse up the driveway. Our grass is all cut up! Also I did not get any asparagus or lean beef. Can I please me reimbursed for this?
This service is not acceptable and i will never be using online shopping again. I thought I'd use it because it I'll be easy as I live 35 mins away from the nearest woolies. I started a fitness challenge on Monday and couldnt meal prep any of my meals! It has been a real inconvenience.
wonder wholegrain - smooth whole grain soft wraps
Today I bought 2 packets of wraps from St George's street, Perth 6000. I found the complete wraps of to be rotten and thick layer of green fungus path over it.
Kindly look into this as a matter of urgency and investigate the cause. As this seems to be poisonous and unhealthy.

staff
I have worked at Woolworths Cloncurry in the past and it has come to my attention after a friend started that staff have been gossiping and telling lies about me to other staff and customers. This also happened whilst employed and upon telling management they did nothing. By doing this it has effected my new job at the hospital as patients will commonly tell me about what has been said about my and I have had patients make judgement on me prior to meeting me then telling me I'm nothing like what they've been told. It needs to stop
service complaint
Incident date: 10/07/2018, about 4:15 to 4:30, Macquarie Centre.
I was a regular Woolworths customer. On my second day attempt of trying to earn my 12, 000 points. I would have spent over a hundred dollars that day if I didn't ask one simple question. When the cashier scanned the Palmolive body wash which was on special at half price for $2.70, I noticed the screen said $5.40.
I asked her, "Was that on special?", she replied, "I don't know, you should know yourself." Then I tried to explain that sometimes it doesn't scan as a special. I asked her, "You work here, why don't you know?" and "I don't work here, why should I find out the price myself".
She then got annoyed, so I raised my voice. She then accused me of abusing her and continued argue with me. Then she pointed to the screen and said, "This is on special. See the promotion symbol?" I asked her why couldn't you tell me that in the first place? How hard is that?" Instead of apologising, she continued to argue with me.
In the end, another staff intervened. she also explained to me gently how it worked and again pointed out the promotion symbol. Although she treated me nicely, I feel that I'm not able to shop at Woolworths again.
You advertised on TV that we as customers should be nice to your staff concerning the plastic bags. What about your staff being nice to us. It was just a simple question, Which she can answer easily. There were a lot of times when you promote a special, it still scans as a full price.
I am a really unhappy customer and because of this, I will not shop at Woolworths and will only use it as a last resort.
Regards,
Unsatisfied customer
free from gluten scotch finger biscuits (own brand)
When opening a packet of the above biscuits I was surprised to find only 6 biscuits inside.
I knew biscuits were missing, as there was far to much space in the packet.
Everthing is expensive enough when you are gluten free, without product missing in package.
I am sure that Woolworths do not want this to happen to there own brands they are trying to promote to public
service
I bought some tuna tins at Seymour Woolworth and just after one day went to returned them and I was told by the staff named colleen that Woolworth don't accept returns and do not accept changed of mind for products sold and that I should contact John West the manufacturer.
The staff was very rude, impolite and very argumentative which really upset me.
As this is not the first time that I am returning a product to Woolworth or other groceries and also Woolworth return policy is contrary to what this staff is arguing with me.
I actually brought back the whole lot as I bought them the day before. It turned out to be a couple of the tuna isn't the same on the receipt and didn't get a refund for them.
I bought 12 and got a refund for only 10 of them but this isn't a big issue as compare to the staff "Colleen" behaviour towards customers. It was very appaulling.
I personally wouldn't like to deal with this particular staff again or anybody else to go through such an experience.
If really this is Woolworth policy in regards to return then other Groceries have better returns policy for example Aldi and others comparatively.
accused 74 year old of stealing socks
After shopping in Big W on Sunday 8th July 2018 and buying some socks, which I put in our Coles bags, because Big W don't do bags now, I went to Woolworths at Karingal. (P.0 End in Frankston, Victoria, Australia.
I have been a regular shopper at Woolworths for years. When we got to the cashier called Wendy my daughter gave her my two Coles bags. Wendy took the socks out of the bag and said to us "Are these yours?". My daughter said, "Yes, we got them from Big W". She did not take this as her answer and she started to let everyone know around by asking us for the receipt and calling her manager. This made the situation embarrassing and humiliating. I have a heart condition called AF and my daughter was pushing me in a wheelchair. The main issue was 1) She thought we got them from Coles and weren't going to pay for them and 2) She kept scanning them again and again and going on and on about it in front of everyone near us. She reacted as if she had found someone who had stole something. To be treated like that is a disgrace and has really put us off going to that store again.
We had put the socks into the Coles bag because Big W don't do bags now and my son-in-law had took all our other bags to the car, which had the receipt in for the socks. I can scan and email you the receipt if needed.
It was the way we were treated. On the socks it does say made for big w so if Wendy had looked at them she would have seen this, but no she was intent on putting some sort of blame on me.
My daughter did inform Wendy that we would complain and later she said "one of the socks did scan", but nothing was on the receipt. My daughter had said to Wendy "scan them and you will see they are not from here".
It all turned into a big drama that I don't need.
Kind Regards
Dawn Knight

iced donuts on special at $2.00
Both on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June I shopped at WW Menai around 9am.
I was seeking to purchase the Iced Donuts on special at $2.00, on both days at 9am were not available. When I asked the staff (counted at least 5 people in the Bakery) I was advised they were not available at this time.
Why advertise a special when it is clearly not available. Surely in every Department weekly specials are a priority to have ready & displayed from opening time.

deli rutherford staff member
I went to Woolworths Rutherford this afternoon around 4.45pm. I was wanting to purchase some salmon from the deli.As there was no one else there I didn't bother to get a number and there was 3 staff. One was cleaning, one was filling something up and the other lady had her back to the counter and was talking to the one filling something up. The one filling up looked up seen me standing at the fish section and called out I'll be there in a minute. With that another person walked up to the counter down near were they were and the one talking turned around and asked them if they were right. The one filling up came up to me asked me what I wanted and then said to me do I have a number. When I said no she said well you're meant to have a number . With that I said well don't bother I'll go else where. She replied with it's ok this time I'll serve you. I said don't bother and walked off.. Well I'm sorry if there is no one else waiting to be served why would I waste taking a number. I will never buy anything from that deli if I see that woman working there she was extremely rude. I then left the shop without buying anything and went over and spent my $35 at Coles and had a lovely girl serve me . I have never had this said to me before and if that's her attitude maybe you should have her working out the back of your store and not in contact with the public.
