wrong pricing on sale items
This is a complaint about the customer service I received at Double Bay Woolworth's grocery- supposedly one of their new 'model' stores; on 26 Feb at 8AM. I was very disappointed by what happened and the service in the store. Most of the Bakery shelves were empty. I asked for a particular item that was on Special but not on the shelf. Had to go get the Bakery mgr to find it and then stock the shelves. I purchased some tinned dog food on special and found out later that 6 items were priced correctly but 2 were not-even though advertised. I had to go back to the store and tried to explain the problem at the Customer Service desk. When they scanned the item again it came up with a completely different price! Hard to believe makes you wonder how many other products in the store are mis-priced. I asked for the manager but he was in a meeting. Rather than waste any more time I asked for a refund. Also due to the extra time- I was over the parking time limit and had to pay extra. Little wonder Woolworth's is having financial difficulties. And everyone is shopping at Coles.
dickies towels
I purchased two packs of Dickies towels on 28th December, 2015. Having been bought up with the brand name Dickies, I assumed it would still be the inexpensive but quality that I grew up with. Unfortunately, even though the towels have only been used perhaps four times in this period, they are starting to look very shabby. The towels are very thin and threads pull very easily. I have washed them in a fully auto washing machine, like every other towel, and they now look old. Very unhappy with this product. The product is DIckies Bath Towel 68x130cm coff/teal by 4. I paid $30.40 for this product and would like to return the towels to the store I purchased them from and receive a full refund. I would appreciate your assistance in this matter.

So go return them then?
bakery
I have been shopping at Blakescrossing woolworth in Adelaide for months and I'm concern about the quality in you bakery department the bread and rolls ect it has been the best better then any other Woolworth stores in the area I shop at blakecrossing three times a week and lately the quality is not very good I went in there on Thursday the 18th Feb purchased a some fruit hot cross buns they where small different sizes and they where hard as well not to mention your 6pack rolls there was some different size rolls and I also had purchased farmer loaf where it was doughy in the middle I went in again on Saturday 20th Feb and the product was the same and I didn't purchase anything from the bakery the look of the hot cross buns look very bad. I then come in today Tuesday 23rd and was happy that with quality of everything in the bakery I purchased my regular product rolls bread finger bun and hot cross buns they where so perfect that all the hot cross bun are gone they actually felt fresh and soft. Do you have different bakers cause the baker u had on today is what I'm use to coming in to buying your product not what it has been like the last few weeks when I come on Thursday and Saturday can you please let me know why the quality not consistent like it use to be.
jamie's broccolini and baby broccoli with soy and sesame seed dressing
I purchased this product from Carnes Hill Woolworths on the 21/2/16 intended for meal the next day. When I went to use it today (22/2/16) I took off the cardboard packaging and it revealed that this product has been past its used by date which is the 19.2.16. I want to know why this is still on the shelf in the fresh food section
advertised any 2 for $5
In the dried fruit section, Sunbeam packaged currants & sultanas. Same brand same packaging under the same signage.Surprised to find charged single item prices. When querrying the charge was told "that's where lots of people get caught-currants 300gm sultanas 375gm." Sign was obviously meant to mislead. Have found this behaviour before when high priced goods are slipped between specials. As a share holder I'm particularly disturbed by this deceit & abuse of customer loyalty. I had spent $159.82 in store that day so a relatively minor excess will see me shopping at one of the friendly competitors.
customer service
I made a phone call to Woolworths woodlands to make an enquiry and unfortunately a lady named toni answered the phone. She was very rude and arrogant as if she didn't care or want to help me. I will not be shopping or ringing the store again.
unethical behaviour, refusing refund
Unprofessional and disgusting experience at woolworth hornsby
Today i went to hornsby woolworth to return a faulty soup maker pro purchased at woolworth gordon few months back.
I had original receipt and i requested a refund.
They refused refund,
This is after lot of talking and explanation & speaking to their manger, guy called wayne.
And explanation given was that i bought this product from gordon store and i should go their for refund
I politely asked ok, can i be given this in writing, about refusing refund
Which he said no and walked away.
This whole scenario was very puzzling to me
I even asked him what about if some one moves interstate and buy thing from other state what happens then
He didn't answer and walked away and making me feel humiliated
I called gordon woolworth spoke to their manger who informed hirnsby woolworth should refund but asked me to come to gordon which i did leaving few important task including unable to pick flat tyre from bobjane
And they refunded me the money.
Now big question is
Why was this done to me was i wrong
Or
Is this woolworth's standard policy advising even their store manger to behave in this rude & unprofessional manner with their customers.
I felt so bad and this has ruined my whole day
I need explanation and apology for this rude unwanted behavior causing unnecessary stress
bonus woolworths dollars
I have been shopping at woolworths melville/booragoon WA regularly and took advantage of the spend $135 and get $25 off your next shop.
I did a shop on 5th February and my receipt advised i was eligible for $25 off my next shop.
When i went shopping again on 9th February I didn't get the $25 off, so I queried.
I WAS ADVISED the system had a glitch on a previous shop 2nd February, they made no effort to advise me of the glitch either by email/phone or on website. I rang customer service today and was told that I wouldn't get my woolworth dollars
Very disappointed woolworths as I stood in shop with a voucher saying I had $25 off . If you had a glitch on 2nd, im sure you could have rectified before the 5th.
im going to review my shopping destination.
inhouse bullying and defamation from high end staff
I am the Partner of a staff member at Woolies Warnbro in WA who often comes home in tears and is subjected to in house bullying. I know she is not the only one and I know it comes from high end staff. She has been sent home for "customer complaints" of smelling of alcohol but the wont breath test her or take it further so she can clear this Defamation, they just sent her home and now she dosnt want to go back because the rest of the staff (friends include) will be judging her! I think she needs stress leave and I also think she should take it further in a legal manner after advise from our GP
meat department - namely deletion of lamb shoulder roasts
I am a constant and regular Woolworths shopper and very happy with the specials offered and the high standard of customer service delivered at all times.
However, I am disappointed to learn that LAMB SHOULDER ROASTS have been deleted from meat available and ask WHY? With the wide range and variety of meat available to customers, why delete this particular line. It is very popular in our (and extended) family, is affordable and cooks beautifully giving all-round satisfaction.
Will I be forced to shop at Coles for meat supplies in the future!

online store
On the 28/1/2016, i have received an offer from Woolworth online that Enter code SAVE10 at checkout when you spend $110 or more. I have purchased a total of $111.63 ( Order number: #[protected] )and paid $101.63 after discount. Few hours later i received an email about the products being out of stock ( Can't control the stock they have) worth $15 (charged on invoice) and they refund me $10.40. I found it unfair for me i have been punished for their fault so i rung them and the operator can't answer my question how they calculate it. So i cancelled the order and they refund me another $89.53. Total they refund me $99.93. A shortfall of $1.70 i have lost for Woolworth online fault. I will not use Woolworth Online again and this experience will last a lifetime. Thanks
price of chocolate - 32% more expensive in woolworths in australia
Why is Australian made Cadbury chocolate 32% cheaper in Woolworths in New Zealand than it is in Woolworth's Australia ?
I recently came back form NZ where the price of a 200g block of cadbury chocolate is $NZ3.65 in the supermarket vs $A5.00 here in Australia. I checked the label, and to my surprise the product on the shelves in NZ is made in Australia ! . It is the identical product that is sold here in Australia, yet it is significantly cheaper in NZ. The product was not on special and I checked the price at the Woolworths owned supermarket known as ‘Countdown’ in NZ.
Taking the current conversion rate of $A vs $NZ, the price of the same chocolate bar in NZ is 32% cheaper in NZ than Australia ? why is this ? why are the supermarkets ripping us off ?

ripoffs
To the Woolworth's Management
Just got my petrol at the Claremont Woolworth's branch. $ 1.25 per litre. I strongly oppose to this price per litter as in Melbourne some are selling at $ 0.94 cents per litre. Why are you ripping us customers off? Bloody hell.
You offer us $ 00.4 cents per litre discount when we shop at a value higher then $ 35, - what a JOKE. SHAME on you your GREEDY so... and so...

tinned pineapple
My family loves having home made hamburgers once every two weeks or so. We always include a thinly sliced piece of golden circle pineapple on our burgers, slowly cooked on the BBQ. It tastes great and we have enjoyed this for years. We shop at Woolworths as there are no Coles or IGA stores as close to our home, and up until recently would not have gone looking anywhere else. This has changed, and I will be driving further to find a store that can meet my needs. I was devastated a month or so ago to find Woolworths at Southport and Ashmore on the Gold Coast no longer sell Golden Circle pineapple slices. In fact the section of the shelves where this would have been, stored almost exclusively pineapple products from Thailand. I refuse to be dictated to by a large conglomerate such as Woolworths as to what I will and will not consume. I demand choice to buy Australian product where available and have been doing so, by buying Golden Circle for many years. I went to Ashmore again today to find all shelves held Thailand pineapple, except for a small section of crushed Golden a circle pineapple. I complained to store manager at Southport Park store and Ashmore, to be told by both that it was out if their hands. Decisions have been made high up in Woolworths and they have no choice in how to stock their shelves, when if customers want Golden Circle products. They also said may others had complained of the same issue! This is unacceptable, and I will NOT be shopping at Woolworths from here on. I will not by a Thailand product! Who do you think you are taking such a longstanding wonderful product away from our choice! You are such hypocrites... I just watched an Australia Day add for Woolworths on TV with Jamie... You don't support Australian product, but only support making money by bringing in inferior imports! Whoever is running this organisation, you have lost the plot, as evidenced by the disastrous Masters store experiment. Thank god I sold my Woolworths shares a couple of years ago. You've lost a longstanding customer and supporter forever! Regards RobynK
australian pineapples. labelled incorrectly on display. deceptive labelling and bad service
At Woolworths Subiaco Square shop, yesterday, I purchased a pineapple, display clearly showed $3 each (I have a photo proving this and will send it to you if you email me). After leaving the shop I saw I had been charged $4.90 for it. I returned to see the Indian lady who checked us out. She called the acting manager, called "Rudi", who told us the pineapples identical to the one we purchased was in the wrong section because there wasn't any room in the correct section. I requested he move these as it was deceptive and I wouldn't have purchased the pineapple if I had known it was $4.90. Rudi refused to rearrange the display saying "That's the way it is". On the way out the Indian lady who served us told us she had had two previous complaints about the same issue but Rudi the manager refused to do anything about it. I thought Woolworth's policy was to offer a product at the display price if it was clearly showing that price. It is a minimum amount of money but I'd have thought we would be worth $1.90 to keep our $10, 000 per year plus business. Apparently not. We have spent over $10, 000 a year at this Woolworth's store for the past 15 years but are unhappy with the way we were rudely treated. We have a Coles closer to our home so we will be giving that a try in future. Regards, Patricia Hilhorst
poor customer service
I was in Woolworths Sorell yesterday 14/1/16 at 3pm when I went through the self service checkout. I was getting abused from another customer who said I was taking too long and pushed me out of the way so she could use the checkout (even though I had not finished). She started yelling and telling me she would have me up for assault and when I looked at the woolworths worker and said "are you believing this?" she just looked at me vacant. I have never liked Woolworths and I certainly will not shop at WW again.
optus sim card and inexcusable customer service
Dear Sir/Madam I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from St. Clair Woolworth, last night (14/01/2016). I visited your store at approximately 8:00pm last night to purchase a few household items, along with an Optus Pre-Paid Sim card for a iPhone 6. My initial understanding was to approach the Customer Service Desk, where I waited for approximately 5 minutes with staff members walking past me, yet not offering assistance. I then thought to ask a cashier for assistance where I would pay for my groceries. When I asked the cashier for assistance, she would not allow me to finish my sentence before talking over me. As I mentioned above I was looking for a sim card for an iPhone 6, she replied that Optus was down and I could not buy it! I then advised her again that I want the Sim card and what does me purchasing a Sim card have to do with Optus not being active right now? She then turned around and called out to a co-worker who was at the cigarette counter and once again dismissed my question. I then repeated my question about wanting to purchase a Sim card for the iphone6, (Nano Sim). She then turned around and called out to the same co-worker who pointed in the direction of where the Sim cards might be and shrugged her shoulders. The cashier then walked over to the customer service counter and returned with a Sim card pack. Whilst placing my order through, the cashier spent most of the time calling out to her co-worker for assistance and at no point did the co-worker who was providing assistance think to walk over, nor did the cashier feel that yelling/calling out was highly inappropriate behavior to display. I then returned home, and opened the Yellow Optus Envelope, to find that I was given the wrong Sim Card. By this time it is now 9:30pm, my husband has then returned to Woolworths, St Clair to request an exchange, with the product and the receipt as this was not due to my negligence but the 2 team members who served me. Upon returning to Woolworths St. Clair- the outcome from the customer service consultant and night manager was “sorry we cannot help you as it is not store policy to exchange once the envelope has been opened”. To which we (husband and I) advised that this was not due to us choosing the wrong product, as the onus should fall on the 2 Woolworths employees. The night manager kept repeating “its store policy”, to which I said well I bought a product, asked several times for a certain product I have then been given the wrong product what should I do as this has cost me $30.00 for the sim card + petrol money + time as I also have a toddler who has been on this ridiculous merry go around due to the appalling customer service. I have read your Woolworths Supermarket Returns Policy : With proof of purchase ; if the product you buy from Woolworths Supermarket is faulty or if you are not satisfied with it, then we will cheerfully refund the purchase price, exchange or repair the product. At no point whilst I was at Woolworths did I feel/believe that the staff understood or carried away the steps in the Returns Policy Night manager advised “ that Woolworths is not a Sim card provider/distributor so we do not know the product”. The above and final statement is what I find most disgusting and appalling, as a weekly shopper of Woolworths I have also had the understanding that staff at Woolworths will and should have product knowledge of what is sold in the store. Also if customer service and managers are not aware of what sim cards are sold. That leads me to ask WHY are the sim cards sold if no product knowledge is provided. It leaves me to wonder, if this is an issue up the organisation chart? Has the learning and development team failed to train staff? Do managers not conduct roll outs on new products so new and per-existing staff are aware of what products are sold? Are managers trained on how to deal with customer complaints/issues, what are the safety nets in place for issues as I have had? Overall, Woolworth has lost a customer, and I will also be placing this on all my social media accounts as I feel that the matter could have been resolved without the drama or the lack of empathy provided from the staff at Woolworth St. Clair. I do hope to hear back soon, and be advised of the next step in my compliant process.
coriander
Why do I find all Woolworths stores around Aus regularly out of fresh Coriander, yet I can always get it at Aldis, Coles, Safeway, IGA. In fact anywhere, but regularly out of stock at Woolworths. I always ask the greengrocer in charge at each store when I go to buy it, always told its on backorder. Go down the street to competitor supermarket and always find it! Not good enough Woolworths, sick of shopping with you! This has happened too many times to mention, right around Australia. Your ordering system for fresh produce needs addressing!
general store concerns
Having arrived home from holidays, I needed to do a reasonable shop So, I went to my local store in BONNER A.C.T.today Friday8 Jan. To my disappointment, many of the shelves were empty or badly stocked. Some of the fruit and vegetables looked very limp.I bought a red capsicum and Shallot's and when I got home noticed that the shallots that were on the inside of the bunch were soggy and unusable .The capsicum was soft and limp. There were no hot chickens in the cabinet at ALL.I had people coming for a late lunch so had no time to go elsewhere to shop. When I went to the deli. Counter to get feta cheese and dried tomatoes, the male who served me did not wash his hands before serving( I had noticed that he had been working around and about the store before coming to serve me after I had rung the bell)and he was rushing me to make a decision. When I finally arrived at the check out, I asked the male assisted if there was a reason why there were so many empty shelves, his reply was to make criticism about the acting manager who was in charge as the manager was off sick, and stated that if he was the manager he would make sure that the store was fully stocked at all times, and that he had mentioned this to someone. While he was serving me he had to leave the check out several times in order to assist a staff member who was supervising the self serve checkouts. It took me ages to get through the check. All in all it was a very poor experience.I will think twice about going back there in the future. my invoice number isABN [protected]. Time 12.15pm
