airtel srvice is disgusting and unprofessional...
Its the second time in this month that our IPTV has suddenly stopped working.
We have not opted IPTV merely for making complaints but we want a hassel free service.
Your technical executives (who visits on complaints) are either incompetent in their courtesy with the customer or
imcompetent to solve the probles. Last complaint we lodged on June 1st week, one of your technical executive behaved badly about who I
complained and the other one who came and wasted my 4 hours couldnot sort the problem. However, I found him surfing FACEBOOK on my laptop.
This is disgusting and highly unprofessional.
I DO NO want to go with IPTV if this is the type of service you guys are offering.
your customer care executives lacks knowledge and are not able to respond to our query.
Then why r they sitting there? u can simply record our complaints on some machine.
Ever since we have opted for IPTV, every month we have to book a complaint.
This is just not happening guys.
I complained this morning around 11 am and till now nothing has happened... No followups and no rectifications...
this id TRUELY UNPROFESSIONALS... we REGRET opting for airtel IPTV...

Reg: Complaint - 3G Airtel Data Plan Unwanted excessive billing without using, and disconnection without any intimation.
On March 20 2011 I have Activated 3G Airtel Data Unlimited Plan of Rs.750 by contacting Airtel representative in Bangalore. I never got proper internet connection as my phone was always on GPRS and I complained 3 times to Airtel, but they told that I am staying out of city limits so I may not be able to avail the 3G services. I tried a lot from different places in my home, but I was getting only GPRS level internet to check e-mails and webmails. I checked many times online in my Airtel account on my status of 3G connection whether it is active or any usage data, but there was nothing displayed. As I was stated to go overseas by my employer, I checked rigorously every 3 days to see if any balance is there to pay off. Airtel never updated anything online in my account either regarding 3G status or regarding my usage or my outsanding bill. On April 19th Airtel have disconnected my services without any intimation or any SMS. After that I have sent an e-mail on April 20 2011 (thinking there could be some problem with website) instructing Airtel to close the connection and provide the balance amount information to pay off through e-mail. I got a mail with a shocking 19K balance amount. Airtel have charged me a bill of 19000/- Rs. I immediately written reply asking for more details, but I didnt get any details other than total bill of 46000 Rs and after discounts it is 19000 Rs. I was still in shock and explained them the whole story, they firmly told that I have to pay since I have used it. I really got irritated, and asked the three below mentioned questions
1. How did my bill went on to 19000, when my credit limit is 2500.
2. Why I didn't get a call or SMS that I have crossed my limit
3. If Airtel claims that they sent me communication on the point no 2, then why it didn't get disconnected after crossing 2500/-
Till now they have never answered these questions, I wrote number of e-mails to provide clarity, they always said to call back on their number.
I called up to that number, and found out after discussing that the bill 46K is generated in three days. So they didnt get time to intimate me. Also they lied saying they disconnected my connection after I wrote e-mail to Airtel.
How can they say these kind of stories and make customers fool. They kept me in total darkness till the end. Now they cook some stories, how customer would believe them. I am 12 years experienced IT proffessional, working in big MNC. I know what is internet all about.
Airtel lack the system to control and to be transparent in showing the usage and statistics. I believe Airtel employees are playing with the internet of the customer connection and creating such huge bills.
There are so many dissapointing situations I have faced, mentioned below
1. I didnt get proper Internet services from 3G connection. I never surfed much internet.
2. There was no intimation online or through SMS that connection is active.
3. There was no customer service on my complaints on 3G service, nor any follow up. I have chase them.
4. No intimation of whasoever bill.
5. No intimation on disconnection.
6. No bill, I have recieved bill on June 22 2011.
They are calling my alternate number and speaking rashly, asking to pay by hook or crook. I said it firmly that this is total cheating and keeping customer in darkness till the end is not correct, and I cannot pay that huge amount.
Now they have started randomly calling to the numbers of my dialled list, and threatning them and torturing them, that they would sue them or send them to Jail. Lot of my freinds and relatives have complained that they lost mental peace and want get rid of this endless torture.
Mentally I am very much disturbed and frustrated becuase of Airtel's brutal actions, and negligence.
Airtel 3G system has to be recalled and revalidated, to get relief for its innocent customers. Airtel is proving to be a big fraud in this case if its not immediately looked upon.
I also warn other prospect customer to not go with Airtel 3G, this is my sincere advice.

Even I have the similar complaints about airtel 3g postpaid, I am getting very worst customer service, without our notice they chaged 3g plan and charging heavily for the internet usage. Charging around 10Rs for 1mb usage. and they won't notify and finally will send
huge amount bill . Evwn if we give compalint ot customer care their executives don't have knowledge what is mb or kb, they simply tells you have charged on pro-rata basis.
Even their 3g network coverage is pathetic, in Bangalore Domluru they don;t have network coverage only we gwt 1 or two signals where as tata docomo have full signal in same place, and if you complaint they will simplt tell we took the complaints and later will send one message that we tried reaching your are not rechable and will close the complaint.
Now I disconnected airtel and I bought tata 3g, and I am not going to pay their bills . I have simply paid 1, 200 rs per month without using 3g speed . It was a very Bad Experience with Airtel . Shame to Airtell!Cheaters.

I got Airtel CUG postpaid connection from Airtel on 7th june, as per connection rules I gave my temporary address in Chennai, proofs were submitted to my dealer.I am very much regretted about the officials who come for address verification. I have clearly mentioned that I ll not be available on week days and I have asked my dealer to inform that the verification can be conducted on weekends or during evening on week days.
On first verification on a Saturday a guy called and asked about the details and said that he ll be coming in half an hour, I even said if he couldn’t find the home ill come and bring him here.I waited till evening he did nt come and I got the information that the verification status was negative saying that the house was closed.
I have asked for re-verification and the other guy without even informing that he ll be coming came on a Friday afternoon and got the sign from my neighbor and informed me that he got sign from my neighbor.But from 26th june 2011 my outgoing has been cancelled and from 29th june my connection has been temporarily barred saying that my reverification has been in negative as the house was closed and the customer’s phone was switched off.
On enquiring about this to the guy who called on the reverification day is not responding correctly and he says that he did his part correctly and I have to ask other details to customer care ly..
As I ve changed from other network thinking Airtel will be good in customer relations but due to these incidents I am very regretted and I am unable to contact
any one as the connection is barred .Please respond to this as soon as possible.I have mentioned the phone no of the guy who contacted me and my contact no and the no which is barred..

prepaid recharge
I have done two consecutive recharge of 98 and 110 both recharge sucessful message with transaction id got but the later one of 110 balance not credited in my account. I also complained to the customer care two times and having complaint no also but no body had done any thing since 12 june 11. Please do the need ful to get the balance credited back in my account as soon as possible.

deactivation of my number without any notification
I have bought a airtel prepaid sim card ([protected]) on May 8th in poorvika mobiles MMDA, and it was activated on the same day . I also activated a rate cutter with 3 months validity ( call cost for A2A 10 ps and 18000 National sms free, other state airtel 50 ps ) and submitted all the required documents. within a week My sim said network registration failed and I contacted Poorvika the next day and asked them whether they submitted the required documents given to them. The store keeper even showed me their register in which your airtel executive have signed that he has received the documents. and they contacted their airtel contact point and informed this and had my number activated again .
On June 20 morning 8.30 I made some calls to local airtel numbers and I was charged for 1 re /min instead of 10 ps / min and for std 1.50 for calling an airtel AP number. I immediately called the 198 complaints number and the lady who attended my call said the balance deductions will take 2 hours to update in your system and asked me to call after 2 hours to check the information. But when I tried to call customer service complaints 198 after 3 hours they have deactivated the option for reaching the customer service agent for my number(Is this is the way Airtel solves customer issues). The IVR says press 3 to make a complaint about balance deduction when I do that it says " You can use *121# to activate and deactivate a service, Thank you for contacting airtel. Even if I call the 121 customer service where I have to pay 50 ps for 3 mins I am getting the same message. In the evening I called 198 from my friend number and the lady who answered my call is rude and she provided me wrong information saying my rate cutter validity is over and I even informed her that if I check by *123*4# it says I still have 11k plus sms and valid till aug 8th, she is not believing to me and repeatedly saying it is valid for sms only and the call rate cutter has expired and sms package alone is active when I asked the reason she disconnected the call. Then again I called the 198 and the guy who answered me said I was correct and accepted there is a technical problem and will forward it to the concerned team and wanted me to wait for 48 hours to change the call rate again and for refund. I accepted and asked for the name of previous agent who disconnected my call as I need it for my records But he refused to provide me the information saying they do not have the access to see it (unbelievable ) when I asked why am I not able to reach customer service from my number he said there is no problem in your end and he he even took a complaint for the same . here are the complaint #'s I received CBDPA20620407211, CBDPA30620393894, [protected] through sms. I was pateiently waiting for this issue to be solved but the ultimate thing happened today (June 21) My mobile says network registration failed invalid sim, when I tried to reach again 198 they said I did not provide the necessary address verification, and they have deactivated my number and I will not be able to get the same number again and all the balance 82 main balance plus 40 in special balance, and rate cutters I have activated will be lost . even last week when I tried to call a number my call was routed to the address verification team and I provided my address to them and they activated my outgoing and incoming facility after 2 hours. But none of them informed me that they did not receive the address proof. I was connected to a supervisor in 198 and he repeated the same saying They were not able to contact me to inform this. I told him that I did not receive any calls regarding this and not even an sms. He keeps on repeating the same script saying since my number is removed from the network he is not able to see the records. why is that my number is deactivated without any notification. Providing a address proof again to you guys is not a big thing to me, But you should have notified me before disconnecting my number and should have provided me a time frame to provide those documents. Now the manager says provide the documents in a airtel show room near by and we will try to activate the number in 48 hours. I told him that please activate my number as I had a interview call tomorrow and I will provide the documents in 48 hours and if not they can deactivate my number and wanted them to consider the request as an urgent case as I was in need of that number and also I was not notified before terminating my number. But he refused to do so saying the same sript given to him.
My questions
-why was I am not notified and given a time frame to provide documents before terminating my number.
-why were your agents providing different answers every time, and they were rude on the customers
- how many times you will verify my address within 40 days of purchasing the number
- what were you going to solve this issue and get my money back

lost airtel sim, but not able to deactivate
Hello Sir/Madam,
I have lost my airtel prepaid number [protected]. I had contacted airtel customer care to deactivate this number. But the number is still working(the person who has my number is using right now).
Now customer care is not reachable in their numbers and as per our last communication the number is not mine. How is it possible that i was using that number since beginning and now they are telling this is not my number that's why they won't deactivate it.
The person using the number right now is misusing my number and i am helpless to do anything apart from giving miscal to my own number.

Whenever a new bill of my landline no. generates... compony start sending me messages on my mobile no. continuously... sometimes they send 100 to 110 messages in a day.. this cause a lot of disturbance and distruction and inconvinience to me... so i request you to register my complaint and stop sending messages...

I want to deactivate this Hello Tune Service on my Landline connection - [protected].
When i called the Airtel Customer care to deactivate this service he said i have to call [protected].
I unable to call this number because on my landline outgoing connection is off & i told this to the airtel customer care executive, he said if your outgoing is off than you can't deactivate the Hello Tune Service. Than how i can deactivate the hello tune service?

I wanna make it to your knowledge that i've been charged unnecessarily internet charges even when i've not used it.
I talked at customer care also and told me that my query will be solved till 24/05/2011 but till date my query is not have been solved.
I would like to tell you that I was sitting in my exam hall giving my exam on 09/04/2011 b/w 11:00 a. M. To 2:00 p. M. At that time my cell was sitch off then also i've charged and you can also check it with the time table of b.com part (Ii) [protected] of m. D. S. University.
So I request you to please see into the matter and please waive off my bill amount of net charges as early as possible because every day i'm receiving msg of non payment of my bill.

I tried airtel unlimited package. They told we give you 1. 8mb per second. The limit is exceeds speed slow. I used it 1st month is they give me promised speed but after the 2 month speed is very slow. I cant view my usage also so i m not using airtel. Now i have etisalat 12gb data package its very good. This is to inform you that my Airtel landline ([protected]) and so eventually my Wifi internet connection is not working from yesterday evening. I had registered a complaint today morning (Comp NO: [protected] ) The representative in the morning promised me it would be serviced within 17:35 and hence I waited without going out or doing any other work as this is my major priority till 5:35 and when no one ever called me I had again called up when another representative informed me that no technical engineer had addressed the case and that he will re-address it into high priority and again no one called me and hence when I called up at 20:00, a rude representative answered and he again gave me the same answer and again said he will put it in high priority. Remember this number is toll free only to airtel am calling them from my vodafone as my Airtel phone is dead. All the cost i took and all the pain of not going anywhere on a sunday, my official work getting spoilt and this rude representative said he cant take it up and when i asked him to transfer to his manager he cut the call. When again I called yet another time, he said manager is busy. This is the heights. Am a team leader in a very high tech networking company and the reasons they give are crap (literally)
Please get this complaint taken in high priority.
P.S Just remember a customer care representative should be concerned about the customer and his complaints. If we do not pay bill on the concerned date you cut the internet connection and this is what customers get back right. Awesome.

Still this is not taken care of. Today from morning no one called me. In the evening 5:30 one technical engineer (thats what he said) called from Electronic city and asked me if my house is in JP nagar or Jayanagar (Actually my house is in Kadubeesanahalli) I dont understand how anyone can go to Electronic City. I again called from my vodafone number to Airtel Customer care and this time waited for 14 mins and got connected to the Floor manager - Priyadarshini. She spoke so badly I was actually thinking whether she is actually a manager. After I spoke so much 10 mins she cooly said "ok" it will get resolved by tomorrow 2pm. That was it. I really got angry. On top it when i asked why the tech guy went to Electronic city, she blamed me saying my bill does not have full address, then how does the bill get delivered to my address on time... Pathetic service. Can someone please take care of this complaint

mobile bill much higher than credit limit

I possess airtel postpaid corporate number in my name . The average bill which I received is generally around Rs 180. The credit limit on my number Rs 1200. This month I activated GPRS(Rs 98 2 gb plan) service on my mobile.
Firstly, I asked for Rs 199 unlimited GPRS plan and they activated a 2 gb plan. I kept using it thinking it was an unlimited plan.This was the first mistake on their side.
Secondly, the mobile I received for this month( only 10 days usage) was Rs 11578 . Then they deactivated my outgoing calls and other services. The bill exceeded my credit limit(Rs 1200) by more than 10 times. I neither received any notifications or message from airtel, nor did they stopped my services when credit limit was crossed. I feel so frustated and helpless on this issue. I have spent lot of my energy in calling and emailing customer care and airtel spoc in my company but they didnt respond with any satisfaction. The airtel service provider unofficially told me that my bill cannot exceed my credit limit in any case. I am shocked on seeing my bill amount. Airtel sucks. I preferred airtel earlier because of the quality of service they provided. But now I am not going to use airtel service in my entire lifetime and I advice others to stay away from it. Their services are so poor and carelessness is in abundance. They dont care for customers' grievances. They only believe in fooling aroung the customer and extracting money from them.

Do you know how many Value Added Services(VAS) are fixed on your mobile number by mobile company without your consent ?
Airtel Mobile company is fixing/applying unwanted VAS on your mobiles & you may or may not know.
This is one of the secrets of above question.
Many customers including senior citizens visit my shop daily to get their mobile recharged. They have been always complaining about deductions by the mobile companies. Among all of these I found a customer (Age 70 Years) of Airtel on whose mobile Airtel Company has applied a record number of SIX VAS such as Facts 55382, Job Alerts, Airtel Call Manager, Karwa Chauth Pack, Kareena Kapoor, All Cricket Pack.
Airtel company has been deducting a huge amount from his credit balance every month mercilessly. ( For proof I have images of his screen) Now Ithere is one more customer on whose mobile company has applied Seven Schemes.
* Suppose for example you or any of your friend/known have an Airtel mobile connection.
You can check it like this.
1. Send ' STOP' to 121
(HAVE YOU SENT)...OKAY
You will get back a message like this if their is a VAS on you mobile.
"The following services are active on your mobile. To reply type the serial number of the service that you wish to 'STOP'

6...& so on
You can know from above message that how many VAS are applied on your mobile by the company. If you want to STOP these services then follow the steps.

I am receiving Airtel Live (AL) nothing servive love tips messages last 2 months. I am seriously vexed about
your service. I am using Tata docomo no. [protected]. Today (30.5.11) renewed this subscription Rs.16/16 days. I already gave complaint many times but you didn't deactivate this service. Why? Please deactivate Airtel Live subscription. No need for me. My balance are wasted on unuseful service. We didn't interest in this service So, you are not deactivate this service. Rs. 50/- please reacharge my account (above mentioned the no.). And please deactivate this service. You taking my balance unusually. Now, I have zero balance. Thank you.

my mobile number is [protected].today i got a msg from airtel conpamy that was 'dear customer your hello tunes services has been activated on ur number for 20 days for 20 rs'.. and they deducted 20 rs from my account..and this is an unwanted service and the same thing happens with me whenever i get my cel recharged n almost with all the airtel users and the customer care officer even doesnt takes any action after my complain and since for a comman man its not possible to approach to the airtel office every now and then i request u to kindly take some action against this corrupt policy of the company for acompalishing their target and please assure that i get my balance back!

Many customers including senior citizens visit my shop daily to get their mobile recharged. They have been always complaining about deductions by the mobile companies. Among all of these I found a customer (Age 70 Years) of Airtel on whose mobile Airtel Company has applied a record number of SIX VAS such as Facts 55382, Job Alerts, Airtel Call Manager, Karwa Chauth Pack, Kareena Kapoor, All Cricket Pack.
Airtel company has been deducting a huge amount from his credit balance every month mercilessly. ( For proof I have images of his screen)
* Suppose for example you or any of your friend/known have an Airtel mobile connection.
You can check it like this.
1. Send ' STOP' to 121
(HAVE YOU SENT)...OKAY
You will get back a message like this if their is a VAS on you mobile.
"The following services are active on your mobile. To reply type the serial number of the service that you wish to 'STOP' "

4...
5...
6...& so on
You can know from above message that how many VAS are applied on your mobile by the company. If you want to STOP these services then follow the steps.

new broadband connection not installed
I am really shocked to be a victim of poor airtel customer service. I applied for Airtel broadband (Application number: TBLR243990) on 25th of May 2011. Guy named Naveen came to my house, took documents along with cash of Rs. 1100/- and promised to give connection between max. 3 working days. I waited for 4 (not just 3) working days. I have spoken to the customer care and even got the escalation contact of Lalit Chopra (080-[protected]) but in vain as he doesnt respond over the phone. I logged complaint with Airtel (Complaint no : [protected]), was told that the problem shall be resolved withing 28th May else money shall be refunded. NOTHING HAPPENED! I am shocked at this mockery made out of customers by Bharati Airtel !
Is this how we should be treated for trusting a Brand? This is a Sheer DISGRACE! I dont need ANYMORE appologies, I need a SOLUTION!

My name is Aayush Makkar and I am a retailer in deepali pitampura, delhi of Airtel. I contacted our area FOS to get a retailer;s no. and he issued me [protected] which was not against my id proof. Then after some time I forced him to give him a lappu retailer’s no. against my id proof. He took my id and issued me a new lappu retailer’s no. which was [protected]. According to him it was against my id proof but when I asked from airtel helpline the executive told me that it was not in my name. I have few fears that FOS can any day block my sim, take the balance away and I will not be able to file any complaint as the number is not in my name and he never issues me any bill while transferring the stock so as a solution I just need safety, a new no. in my name or the better way will be I want to change my distributor. So please tell the phone nos and addresses of the area distributors and help me to solve my problem. Please reply soon its urgent.

This is to bring to the Forum's notice and Airtel that we have serious problems being an Airtel iptv Customer.
On 9th June 2013, a request was made to Airtel (No. [protected]) regarding upgradation of our iptv/broadband plan so that more channels will be available to us (142 as against to 107 in current plan).
A series of pains taking phone calls were made to Airtel Customer service (Request Nos. [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected] and [protected]). On several occasions, the Floor Manager on duty was also spoken to. All of them had listened to our concern however no action was taken to upgrade the plan. Few callbacks were received that clearly indicate the disconnect between customer service and tech support at Airtel. As per the Customer service, the plan has been upgraded and as per the tech support, upgradation is not done and they need a new request. But Customer service doesnt raise a new request for upgradation as per their records it is upgraded.
Only Airtel has the shameless approach and audacity to send an update at the end of month that I have been charged as per the New bill plan.The ironicalpart is that I am still to receive the bill.
The only option left for me is to approach some Forum like this for getting the needful done. Else I shall be forced to take up the matter with Consumer Courts.
