modem and connction charges
I had applied for the airtel broadband connection with havig my own modem and hence the charges were to be reduced from Rs 850 to 350. I had paid rs 350 at the time of connection.
When the engenier came for the internet connection I was not at my place. The engenieer without asking my younger brother installed the connection with new modem.
When i came back i removed the modem but the company had charged for it in the Bill. Even after complaining the customer care executives are not ready to accept the fault on the part of the engenieer or the concerned person.
They are treating the matter as a fault on my part without even asking the engenieer to at least give the clarrification...
This has really created a bad impression of the company...its like one cant trust the company.
This also shows that what ever is being told befor the connection is installed the company does not cares about it and does what ever it likes...To all the airtel broasband users BEWARE the company is now on the way to cheat its customers...and not keeping the words what is being said to the customers...
problem in incoming calls

I am getting problem to receive incoming calls in my mobile [protected] subscribed to Airtel. 90% caller received information that the mobile is switch off . When somebody tried to contact me normaly I got a messege from "missed you" that -you have missed call to know miss call dial...to know about your miss call . cost.../. I registered complaint on 25th April with airtel customer care and I was told that it will be resovled within 30th April . A reference no was given to me by "airtel" and th no was CICPL30424186236 . After that till date I have enquired 3 times and each time I was told to bear with them and the problem will be solved shortly. I shall be glad to know how to solve the problem ? If they are at all unable to solve the problem I feel they should let me know honestly so that I have to go for another alternative or for my future course of action.

This is Vineet Tripathi, own Airtel Karnataka Postpaid number [protected]. I lost my mobile along with sim card on 17th April 2008, so requested Airtel to bar calls and sms till I get a new sim card. On 25 Apr 2008, I was issued a new sim card and on the same day the sim was activated as per Airtel however I am unable to receive and make calls and SMS service is not working as well. I kept calling the customer care of Airtel for 7 continuous days innumerable times irrespective of me being in roaming and was told by different floor managers like poornima, Purna, Aravind, Azaharuddin, Sameer, Hemant the same old thing that there is some technical issue, mismatch of numbers due to which I was getting the automated message "SMS and CALL services are barred due to expired validity date' while trying to make calls and they have issued a high priority case to technical team to resolve the matter and I would get a call within couple of hours however as expected never received one.
Then when I called them again to know the status of the card, i got the status that Technical team tried reaching me on "[protected]" and the mobile was not working. One can understand the kind of sincerity that technical team tried reaching on the number which is problematic.
I have been calling to get the status and everytime i have been assured that my problem will be resolved in couple of hours by floor manager (Name mentioned above) and they will give me call back. None of the time i recieved any call from these people nor my problem have been resolved till this movement.
In addition to this, i have been advised to replace my sim card, which i have done couple of time and still do not see that problem is resolved.
This being my number from last 6 years, my work is being impacted and not able to work properly. Since last 6 years, I made sure that none of the time there is delay in the payment of the bill so that I continue reciveing good service from Airtel.
I am really disappointed to see the kind of service is being delivered to customer like me and the professionalism at Airetel side.
I would like to escalate the issue to highest authority to resolve this issue.

I am using Airtel's GPRS services to connect internet since long and using their Rs. 249-/ monthly rental plan.
Some time back, I realised that they are not giving me full one month of service as told me by their customer care executive.
So I started keeping my account records.
In the month of April they deducted Rs. 249/- on 8th and
In the current month that is May, they deducted Rs.249/- on 2nd.It means that they are giving me just 25 days service against their promised 30 days.
The very same day I tried to contact their customer care but there is no one to interact, just a 121 sms service through which a customer can send their complain maximum in 130 words and i also sent mine.I also tried to contact their office through net and sent them my complain at "[protected]@airtel.in" .
I also tried to call their nodal officer Atif Rashid Umarrizvi
at his given number at their site, but it was allways in off mode.
So I also mailed him at " nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in", but till this time their is no response from them.
Kindly look into this matter and help me. The number through which I am using gprs service is "[protected]" .

At the time of purchasing SIM Card, I have submitted all the requisite documents with local frenchise Image Cellular at Wardha of Airtel company. Suddenly from 28.04.08 my mobile connection stopped working. I have inquired with local frenchise but they have given evasive replies and not informing as to why my SIM Card services stopped. I am a subscriber of your landline and internet services since October 2007.
The landline and internet services had been disconnected on feb 25, 2008 after paying the outstanding payments.I contacted the customer service centre but they were not able to give me the exact reason as to why the landline had been disconnected.After a few weeks the internet connection had been reinstated but the landline is still not working.
My mother passed away on april 12, 2008 and that is the time when i needed the connection badly.Despite placing hundreds of complaints no action has been taken till date but i'm getting the bills regularly.I have never experienced such horrible service.
Please tell me whether you will take any immediate action in this regard or whether i have to look for other alternatives.

I have filed in the form on 9th Jan 2007 for getting broadband connection. The executive was following every 1 hour till I fill in the form. I filled in the form once the executive told me that they can provide a connection and it is available. After filling the form, I have heard back from the executive, also I have to call him everyday. Now I get reluctant answers saying that it will take time. They have deposited the cheque for registration and hence giving the reluctant answers and sometimes no answers.
Moreover they stole my mobile phone worth thousands when they came to home for wiring. Is there feedback form available and I would like to lodge a police complaint because they took the sim card from the phone and yet to give it back. The executive name was Madhavan and his mobile number is [protected]. Its pain to know that it will take time for the connection, they say it may take months.

Its really sad to hear your situation. I thought Airtel was cheating and stealing money from our accounts using technology. But now from your case its shocking to hear that their employees have gone to the extent of even stealing things from their customer's places! Do register a police complaint and also send emails to the chairman and CEO of Airtel about their employee's behavior. Don't delay in filing a police complaint.
bill payment issue
II was having a postpaid connection of airtel (Airtel Number) [protected] from last 2-2.5 years and have been making a regular payment online through internet
I carried the number with me when I went abroad and made a payment of my transaction in Nov 2007 after which I did not made any payments as I did not receive any bills.
I changed the address and gave the contact number of my family for any issue/concern when suddenly I heard that a lady named “Simran” from airtel is calling them and harassing them continuously
I talked to the lady from USA couple of times and asked her to first open my online account so that I can make an early payment but she said it is closed and she cannot, then I asked her to send the copy of my bill at my email id for verification. Similarly I had a talk with the customer care representative While I was talking with the lady named "Simran" from airtel customer care service and was dealing with the issues through email with someone name 'Anil Kohli" from airtel(mail id [protected]@rediffmail.com) my parents panicky informed me that some lawyer has called up and had asked them to made a payment as some case has been filed against me at teeashazari court in delhi and there will be lot of issues if I don't make the payment. My parents hurriedly made a payment of [protected](Bill amount)+1300(lawyer fee))
Can somebody from airtel tell me as why these happened when I was trying to make a payment, I did not got the chance to verify the details before which my parents had to forcefully made a payment and why I had to pay the fee for the lawyer when I was not escaping from making a payment How can I make a payment if don't receive the bill I don't validate it.
This is sheer harassment since I am not in India and airtel guys were harassing my parents those who don't know actually what happened.

I had applied for a Broadband connection (Application No.BA0091708) on 19.Apr.08 through one of your Sales Officers (Sameer Hipparagi - [protected]), but till today I have no update from your end.
Am extremely displeased with Airtel services and wish I had not approached you for a conenction. I was promised to have the connection up in 5 days but no word from your end, until the 7th Day I had to call Sameer and tell him not to process the application further as Airtel could not keep up their promised.
I have however given time for the connection installation by 29th EOD, but still no intimation from Sameer. Kindly look into the matter immediately and update me.

I possess a prepaid connection taken on my mother's name. I have been using it for the past two year. I had subscribed for hello tunes and picture messages. About three months ago I had unsubscribed for picture messages. Then about 25 days back i started getting the picture messages again.
I tired contacting 121 their customer care number but no response as it is automated and takes too much of time. I called a post paid customer care executive who was not helpful either and only told me to get back to 121. On the third inquiry with the post paid customer care executive i was given a number [protected] which no one was picking up. After searching on the internet. I got a toll free number 600 600 for problems related to recharge of prepaid an amount of six bucks was deducted from my prepaid account. I then searched for the email id which was [protected]@airtelindia.com.
I sent them a mail with my grievance and asked them to return my cash which was deducted from my prepaid amount as well return the other amount for prepaid messages as I had unsubscribed for the picture messages and without my assent they had started sending it again. The amount available on my card is over. But the irony is that i do not receive any picture messages and am having a negative balance -16.73 which keeps increasing by 1 daily.
So much for automated systems and so much for customer care. I guess if i recharge i will lose the entire amount only on the negative balance which I do not understand for what it is being deducted.

Airtel Broadband sales representatives are doing a fraud business, if the broadband plan is 1100 the sales person have collected 1600 from me and due to no feasibility for providing the connection to my home then I requested for refund of amount.
I got only 1100 refund then i called many times to customer care but no correct response.
My question is who is responsible for another 500. i have escalated and i have given the sales person name and number but no action and resolution for this.

I got airtel connection on 12th jun 2007
On chosen number with lg 110i mobile with 2 years validity.
I had given this mobile to my friends on birthday.
I dont know how, but when i called on that number somebody else was picking up the phone and when i called customer care they said that its not my number, i really shocked.
How can this be possible to have same number for two different customer,
The validity of my old number is still running and it will xpire in 2009 jun.
What the hell is going on in airtel..

0n 25th JUNE 2006 I fell unconscious on account of pulmonary thrombo embolism and was being carried to hyderabad in ambulance. On Maharashtra boundry my mobile stopped working and became dead. It became difficult to contact my relatives in Hyderbad. The phone did not start for one week until implant was deployed in my chest. I would be dead if my relatives on their own rushed to the gate of Apollo Hospital when my friends phoned up on thir own to my relatives. Now any time the phone says limited service only emrgency calls. Which calls are emergency calls in my case does Bharati know ?

I purchased airtel data card from chandigarh, sector 35, chandigarh, that is, pcmca card. My post paid no is [protected]. The total price of data card was rs3570. 00. But, i feel cheated as its almost one month since i purchased this card but it has not worked. Initially, i was sent to r. T sector 32, chandigarh. These people replaced the card & gave old card in return. But each time, its showing sim not inserted, sim becomes inactivated. I have already purchased sim card thrice. The Customer Service of Airtel Post Paid Card is very poor. The Signals are very low and most of the time the phone is not reachable. The 24 hours customer service is also not to the mark as one has to wait for a minimum of 25 minutes to speak to a Customer Service Executive once you get through the connection. After the long wait, you got to have the patience of listening to all the product advertisements which may not pertain to your query and when you get through the queue after the long wait, the line gets disconnected.
The bills are also not dispatched on time and many a times are dispatched just before the due date, but the line disconnection is not delayed.
If the Customer Service needs to be given more attention and taken on a top priority as Satisfaction to Customers should be our MOTTO.
I have balance rs. 141 for a-2-a calls but airtel number are not connecting

deduction of amount using shortcuts of airtel live
On 22nd April I had received a short cut through an SMS.
When I selected to see what it actually is, it closed and soon i received another SMS mentioning "Thank you for using Airtel Service" and when i checked my balance, Rs. 50 has been deducted from my account.
When I asked Customer executive they said that I have logged into the airtel live service and downloaded a game.
One of the customer executive argued about this that i have logged into airtel live which I didn't.
If they don't add the deducted amount into my account they will loose a good customer soon who used the service more than an year.
i totaly agree to this complaint. i am also charged around 250 rs for the same. i was told tht i am using airtel live. they r dumb. i am having my free MBs to be used, i have wifi over my house, free internet activated on cel, than also they r giving such [censored] reasons. hate airtel. worst service. juz wanna eat money of people. no good service.!

This is to inform you that Airtel has tested my patience to the core. The last 4 months were my worst experience with Airtel. I have never seen a customer is neglected in this way. The only person I found helpful to me was Venkatesh who claims to be the most senior person there. His work helped me only for 45 days. After that I was like fish out of water.
First of all I would request Airtel to have good systems, because whenever I call I get a good and unarguable response saying that the system is under up gradation or there is some issue with system. I don’t know what the network engineers are doing there.
Now, my issue is being dragged from last 4 months. My outgoing is stopped at least 3 times a week, I have to call you and the same gets activated within 2 hours. Mine is a business phone and I cannot afford to be with out this for long time.
I was promised many call backs but received only 2 out of 20. Rather off late even Venkatesh was not able to keep his promise as he promised yesterday that my out going and incoming will start within 24 hours. But it has not happened until I have posted this complaint.
Moreover I have to ask my son to solve this issue for me. Since I cannot call Airtel form my land line and pay for the calls which are scheduled to be toll free from a mobile. If I would have called form my land line I would have paid more than what I’m struggling for. He with his busy schedule has to call you and talk about this issue.
With the pain, torture, and harassment which I have got in boon from Airtel I should get waiver of my complete current bill.
If not from my point of view, see this matter in your point of view.

Inspite of telling to the supervisor that the payment would be made on 19-april-08, my outgoing calls were barred while i was on roaming, i missed out all my important calls becuase even the incoming calls were barred because i was on roaming...i want a callback from Airtel with explanation for the same..ASAP...Inspite of making 25-30 calls to customer service did not resolve my issue, my calls were disconnected, agent put my call on mute and did not speak anything, i was yelling but no one was listening to me, if this is the kind of service Airtel provides i would rather like to change my Service Provider...False Commitment, Non-Trustworty, Pathethic Customer Service, Unmannered Customer Reps, Long Hold time, Calls Disconnect, Hanging up the phone on customers...Shame on you, I want the matter to be escalated and want a callback from Seniour Authority.
This people hardly cares for the customer, i hv never ever got a chance to speak to them but now when i had issue, it was nightmare to tackle with them...it is one of the pathetic customer service i have ever seen i my life...
