delays in shipping order
I shop almost exclusively online these days, and I've noticed what appears to be a change in practice at Amazon.com. Most of the time my orders from websites are shipped within 48 hours. If there will be a delay - say, because an item is not in stock - I will receive an email advising me when to expect my order. Even when I order from third-party providers through Amazon, orders ship promptly. Amazon itself, though, seems to be delaying shipping for several days when I choose the free Super Saver shipping option that is offered. It is July 29 now, and several items I ordered on July 23 haven't been shipped yet - although the one item I ordered from a third-party Amazon partner at the same time was shipped within 24 hours, and will arrive tomorrow. I also sell on Amazon, and they require me to ship within 48 hours. Amazon should abide by its own policy. If my order is being held because of an out-of-stock condition, I should be notified.

age discrimination to the employees
I worked for Zappos.com for 6 years and from what I experienced "Amazon" (which Amazon owns Zappos now) would not recognize my experience or most of my coworker because of our AGE. We trained the new young employees and they moved up quick but not us. Some that did, were pushed out and demoted for no reasons. I will boycott Zappos.com and Amazon for the rest of my life.

false ad
It was not made clear when I signed up for the free trial Prime Membership that I would then be billed $79.00 if I didn't opt out. In addition the card used for the account was lost and is now invalid. I have no intention of paying fee or doing business with Amazon in the future. BUT I am worried that they mey pursue this or report it to a credit agency.
The website makes it very difficult to close account.
Thank You,
Mark McGirl

Many, many of the products I buy, do not have prime shipping. If I'm paying $99.00 A YEAR, hell I might as well pay the shipping. Refund the correct amount back into my amazon store card asap. Thank you sharon Miller
Almost all of the products are not eligible for free shipping. I want my account canceled immediately. Please credit my Amazon Store card with the correct amount. This service is a real rip off.

Selling new product as used
Bought some valve covers from Baxter Auto parts when I finally received them and I opened the box I found that the valve covers had pitt's in the seat of the cover as well as grind markings at ever bolt hole as well as where the pitt's where. Call Baxter Auto parts and they said the parts where new. So They ask me to take some close up pictures so I did. After sending them the pictures the finally agreed to take them back upon doing that they agreed to resend me some new valve covers from Edelbrock on a 2 day shipment. Well I waited for 5 days no tracking #'s or valve covers. So I emailed them back to only get upset because the got ugly with me because I was to demanding, and stupid. I would not recommend buying any thing from these people. There totally ugly to the customers that make there living .Beware they will chew you out if they don't like what you say. I Don't believe they will give back credit due till I see it.
dishonest a-z claim
A buyer ordered a brand new item, sold and shipped exactly as described and in original packaging.
One week later I received a request from the buyer to return item. Buyer stated: 'Return Reason: No longer needed/wanted. Buyer never complained nor expressed dissatisfaction with anything regarding how I handled the process or the listing. Buyer emailed me stating, 'I will be returning the item it was my mistake I ordered the wrong one.'
The next day I received an email from Amazon stating that the buyer had opened a claim against me. In the claim, buyer states: 'Items not as described.' Completely false! Item was listed and described correctly and accurately. Everything about the listing, including the photo (provided by Amazon), was accurate. Buyer admitted twice that it was her mistake in ordering the item, that she wanted a different model than the one she ordered from me. Buyer falsely stated in claim: 'item not as expected contacted seller no response'. Buyer was dishonest because I responded in a timely manner to all her emails, usually on the same day and sometimes more than once a day, as Amazon could easily see. The only day I did not respond to her was on Dec. 25, Christmas Day, a national holiday!
I submitted my re-presentation for the claim on Amazon. Then I waited several days and saw no action being taken. I called Amazon and asked what the status was. I was told just to wait for the investigation to conclude and I didn't need to do anything.
Then I got an email from Amazon asking if I had received the returned item. That very morning I picked up the returned item from the Post Office. I then wrote to Amazon acknowledging receipt of the item. I also called Amazon to tell them I had received the item.
Four days later, still no action by Amazon. I called them again to inquire on the status and was again told to wait and don't do anything.
Two days later I received an email from Amazon saying I hadn't responded to them so they were closing the claim and giving a full refund to the buyer. That was totally wrong and dishonest. You could see in my Amazon account all of my correspondence with Amazon. I HAD told Amazon that I had received the returned item, both in writing and on the phone.
I emailed Amazon to seek an appeal, telling them the verifiable facts that they were totally ignoring. I HAD responded to EVERY inquiry from Amazon and the customer in a timely manner.
They just kept repeating the same line that I hadn't responded to them even thought all of my correspondence and phone calls with Amazon and the customer were documented online. Then, instead of addressing the FACT that I HAD responded to Amazon the very same day they wrote to me, Amazon said they were going to stop responding to any of my correspondence! It was outrageously unjust and wrong what Amazon did.
PLUS, Amazon NEVER took any action about what initiated the Claim in the first place: a blatantly false and bogus claim from the buyer.
And now I'm finding out other people have had the same problem with Amazon. Very BAD business practice by Amazon. The Better Business Bureau is hearing from me!

dont buy from amazon seller stores123
I bought this as a Christmas present for my fiance who likes modern furniture. I received the item and upon unpacking it, it seemed as though it had already been unpacked. The box was tattered and the packing tape had been retaped. Once I opened the product, I inspected it and found the underside fabric was torn where there was a piece of the wood frame...

I unknowingly ordered a laptop from a Third Party. The item arrived in a used, open box, and the inner contents was missing a part. The dealer refused to reimburse me. Amazon then forced him to pay me, but he kept 30% for "restocking". There is no way that I can stop this payment, as I am with Amazon Prime. The only way is to go to Small Complaints Court.
Advice: do not buy from third parties, and don't use the Amazon Credit Card. Better, do not use Amazon at all.

bad service
Bad customer service by Amazon.
Short story:
A-9/22 Bought Kindle
B-9/22 I got an email that they could not process payment.
C-9/23 Updated payment
D-9/23 Got email with the shipping confirmation
E-Item received 9/25
F-10/5 Got call from collection Agency
Here is the detailed story:
I bought a Kindle Fire on the 22 of September on Amazon with my Mastercard. I received an email from Amazon stating that they could not process the payment and that my bank declined the transaction. They ask me to update or try another type of payment, so I did. I updated the info by paying by check (routing and account number). Then I received an email with the shipping confirmation number. (Below ill copy paste all the emails that I’ve received in chronological order from Amazon). I received the item and everything its great, until I receive a call yesterday October 5Th from a collection agency trying to collect money. At first I thought it was someone trying to scam me. I called Amazon and talk to James at customer service. I explained the situation and he said that all he knows is that Amazon send the account to a collection agency because they couldn’t process the payment and tried to contact me 3 different times. I ask him how they tried to contact me? He’s response was that they send me 3 email saying that they could not process the payment.
I told him that I only received one email stating that I needed to update the info and I did, and the only email after that that I received was the shipping confirmation number and that the item was shipped.
He said that I needed to call the collection agency and settle with them. It’s only been exactly 2 weeks from the purchase and they send it to collection. After calling my bank and verified that Amazon tried 3 times to process the payment on the 22 of Sep but couldn’t, I called Amazon again ask for a supervisor. I talk to Sara (with no last names nor employee ID number. Amazon policies). I told her what happened and she replied that I needed to call the collection agency and settle the debt. I ask her why I didn’t receive a call from you guys and she said that we are an internet company. I told them that they will lose me and my family. Her only response was “Have a good day”. Wow, that’s coming from a supervisor.

Greetings from Amazon.com,
We're writing to let you know that we are having difficulty processing Mastercard payment for the above transaction.
To protect your security and privacy, your issuing bank cannot provide us with information regarding why your credit card was declined. However, we suggest that you double-check the billing address, expiration date and cardholder name that you entered; if entered incorrectly these will sometimes cause a card to decline. There is no need to place a new order as we will automatically try your credit card again.
There are a few steps you can take to make the process faster:
1. Verify the payment information for this order is correct (expiration date, billing address, etc). You can update your account and billing information at https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/summary/edit.html?ie=UTF8&orderID=102-6515733-0422602
2. Contact your issuing bank using the number on the back of your card to learn more about their policies. Some issuers put restrictions on using credit cards for electronic or internet purchases. Please have the exact dollar amount and details of this purchase when you call the bank.
If paying by credit card is not an option, buy Amazon.com Gift Card claim codes with cash from authorized resellers at a store near you. Visit www.amazon.com/cashgcresellers to learn more.
Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

TRS Recovery Services has been notified that your financial institution was unable to process a transaction relating to your recent Amazon.com order(s). fraud
Hi,
This is regarding Order #[protected].
Hi, I have ordered a brand new Xbox 360 from Amazon.com, but Amazon has purposefully sent a used Xbox with brand new packaging intentionally and cheating the customers.
I came to know this when i contacted Microsoft and provided my serial Number. I was shocked to notice that the product is atleast a year old.
This was packed in such a way that it looks like brand new and i think this is the way Amazon cheat customers.
I would like a suitable compensation for this intentional fraud commited by Amazon.com.
I need a Full refund of the money for the Xbox along with a $250 Promotional credit.
From: Linda in Idaho
Amazon does nothing to protect customers from Credit Card Fraud... AMAZON.COM IS NOT a secure company to give any of your financial transaction numbers too... From personal experience...
My financial institution said, , "the only way the fraud that was perpetrated on MY account could have happened, IS EITHER Amazon has been hacked and creditcard numbers stolen, OR, , Someone in their data entry dept is stealing and selling card numbers and passwords of our Amazon accounts"... MY Bank and Their Fraud investigation team are now doing the investigation into this incident to try to find its source...
I contacted amozon about this, and like so many other web giants, there is NO ONE dept that deals with internal theft of customers financial information...
So folks, , , THIS IS A WARNING! Give Amazon your Credit or debit card information, AT YOUR OWN RISK...
amazon employee stole my credit card information/ amazon/bill wa
After purchasing items from Amazon.com there was a charge on our credit card bill that listed Amazon.com/ Bill WA. Two days later someone made a $500 purchase with that same credit card at an Office Max in Washington state. We don't live in Washington but I suspect who ever processed our Amazon.com purchase also stole our credit card information and made a purchase with our credit card. Is there a billing center in Washington State that processes Amazon.com purchases? There seems to be some thiefs among their staff!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I worked at Amazon, customer service side for 3 years. I know for a fact, that an amazon employee did NOT steal your credit card information unless YOU gave them the entire credit card number. They will NEVER ask for the entire number. In your account, the only thing an employee can see about your credit card information is the last 4 digits, the expiration date and what brand the card is (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) Again, unless you willingly gave an employee your entire number, there is NO way for an employee to gain that information. I am NOT trying to cover for Amazon. I left there on semi bad terms and would love to see that place crumble. BUT, i refuse to allow you to point fingers at innocent, hard working people for a mistake that more than likely lies in YOUR hands.
Did u give your credit card info to any one else?! Remember, millions of people gave their credit card info to amazon.
customer service
For a company hailed for its excellent customer service, my experiences has led me to believe quite the opposite. The lovely email responses you receive from them appear written by a computer...very generic and patronizing. Look-if I am pissed the last thing I want is someone to apologize deceivingly and futher more offer no true solution to my angst. Instead, a generic response is fabricated and directions to guidelines concerning the issue. In other words, they do what they want and your just *hit out of luck. SO goes the problem with online retailers such as Amazon that do not have true box locations. Your stuck fighting with an iinternet entity who could really care less and there is nothing you can do about it in person. The so-called plus for Amazon- free shipping for orders over $25- is also a total scam. I suggest doing a little comparison shopping before buying from Amazon. Wal-mart has a very good online service and I have experienced true customer service through them.

Bought a laser sight for my gun. Amazon told me it was broken so they had to ship it back; two days later I was told to expect it; only this time amazon mailed it to the wrong address. After talking to them for some time verifying my address many times over, they told me that was why it was sent back the first time so somebody lied about it being broken. Anyway They told me to expect it the next day by 17:00 hours but guess what they mailed it to the wrong address again. Angry I told them I wanted my money back and they suggested I just go pick it up at the UPS in Isanti myself; So I drove the 42 miles and picked it up myself. "Thanks for nothing freaking Amazon!"
Not any longer... their customer service is routinely ranked within the top 20 worst "Internet Companies" And, Amazon is definitely on their way out - I would recommend that everyone stops using their services.

refuses to remove libel
Amazon.com gives no protection to self-publishing authors. A relative of mine self-published using one of Amazon's companies, CreateSpace, One of the first reviews the book received consisted of lengthy, incoherent libel toward the author, which the Amazon.com Community Team approved. The review consisted of several false allegations of crimes committed by the author and his family. The allegations were wholly irrelevant to the book itself.
They approved the review despite the fact that the Review Guidelines clearly prohibits "spiteful remarks" and "obscene" material from being posted. To date, Amazon.com employees have refused to explain why the remarks, which are spiteful in nature, and not considered "spiteful remarks." The spitefulness is clearly shown by the reviewer, who claims he personally knew the subject of the book and felt the subject was falsely portrayed. Given how the review remained prominent on the author's detail page, we were concerned that our reputation would be tarnished and our book sales would be negatively impacted as a result.
The book has sold no copies since the review was published in mid-June. We discovered the defamatory review nearly two weeks later.
We spoke extensively with e-mail, phone and chat support. Almost every customer support agent had trouble speaking English and comprehending the issue. Eventually, we were told that they were "untrained" in handling problematic reviews, despite Amazon publicly encouraging people with review concerns to contact customer support. We've petitioned the removal of the review repeatedly, only to be rejected with condescending form letters and a link to the Review Guidelines, which we repeatedly cited.
Eventually, we decided to pursue a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB liason for Amazon.com, who went by the name of Harsha V., dismissed our complaint and made no attempt to compensate, negotiate or discuss her reasoning in detail. We've escalated the complaint to President and CEO Jeff Bezos who then forwarded the e-mail to Peg Anderson of Executive Customer Relations, who also dismissed the complaint and refused to comment further on the matter.
Amazon.com does not care about customers. It's evident. They're very condescending, dismissive and negligent toward authors who self-publish books. Amazon.com provides no protection for up-and-coming and new authors who don't have major publishing deals. They have proven to be one of the worst companies my family has ever dealt with. We've endured tremendous stress and hardship because of Amazon.com's negligent business practices.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I agree that Amazon don't live by their own terms and conditions. After receiving numerous 5-star reviews for my book, which was written with the sole purpose of helping people and raising money for charity, someone (known to me) posted a scathing personal attack instead of a constructive review of my book. Despite complaining to Amazon and the clearly libellous nature of the comments, they claimed that it did not contravene their guidelines so could not remove it. Thankfully, this review was not received favourably by other people who read it, so it did attract a number of comments in my favour. Nevertheless, as the above case proves, this type of unethical behaviour can have adverse consequences for an author who has invested great time and effort into writing a book.
amazon stole my money. refuses to help.
Amazon simply refuses to help, I have ordered thousands of dollars in products without a hitch, one day a friend asks me I order a 199$ gift card for him I had 400$ in my gift card balance I havent used. Amazon puts my account on hold to verify the 199$ order. I send every document they requested like 100 times, they keep answering the same things like...
Read full review of Amazon and 19 commentsaz guarantee refund
Amazon.com has an AZ guarantee policy. How a buyer can take advantage of this is to buy electronics and shortly before the 90 day mark, complain that it is broken. I don't know what seller is going to take back a "used" electronic item at the 90 day mark that a buyer says is defective but AMAZON lets them do this. What happens is after you reach out to the seller, if they don't give you your money back, you can then file an AZ guarantee and AMAZON will give you your money back. Guess what? YOU ALSO GET TO KEEP YOUR ITEM THAT YOU SAY IS BROKEN! You are under no obligation to return it to the seller. BY ALL MEANS, buyers, take FULL ADVANTAGE of this very dubious policy! Best Buy won't even take back electronics that are sold "new" after 30 days but Amazon says all buyers should live in buyer nirvana and be able to, at any time, return any electronics and get their money back. GO FOR IT GUYS, they made the policy so use it! Best case scenario: you get to keep both your item and get your money back.

phony list prices
I recently bought a Canon zoom/telephoto lens from Amazon, or at least, from one of their so-called "Amazon Vendors". Shortly afterwards I happened to go to the Canon official website, and basically discovered "list prices" that were substantially lower than those quoted on the Amazon product page. Savings that Amazon purported to be in the 100's of dollars were really in the 10's of dollars. When I wrote an email to Amazon on this problem, their response was basically: "we aren't responsible for anything that our vendors post". In other words, you're on your own sucker!
So my take is that Amazon will basically pimp for any 3rd party vendor on their website, and take no responsibility for any nefarious actions by those vendors. Makes you wonder how valid Amazon's own list price claims really are.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I do so hope that your comment was in no way directed at me. I never said anything about returning it to amazon.
So, return it, get a refund, or tell them to make up the difference if they wish you to remain a customer.
banned account
Beware of doing business with Amazon. I've been doing business with them for years and have spent over $10, 000 with them over the last couple of years and out of no where they banned my account and my wife's amazon account because they said I had too many refunds. I find it strange since nowhere in their policies does it say you can only have "X" amount of refunds before they ban you from doing business with them ever again.
It's one thing to ban you from doing business with them but it's a whole other thing to ban you from accessing your digital content that you paid for. Between my account and my wife's account, we had over $500 worth of digital games and software that we are forbidden from ever using again. Not too mention, we no longer have access to any of the receipts for items that are still under warranty.
Once Amazon bans your account you are pretty much out of luck. You cant call because nobody can access your account anymore and you are forced to e-mail the account specialist department which apparently doesn't have phones or names. All they do is send you one of many generic replies thanking you for your cooperation with your account being closed and that's it!
Anyone that loves doing business with Amazon because of their great return policy should think twice before doing business with a company that will ban you out of no where and for a bogus reason. They will not give you any notice so you can salvage what you can before losing your account. You will wake up one morning like I did and receive an Email stating you are no longer welcome to shop with them anymore and your account has been closed for good.
Buyer Beware!
kindle is a piece of junk
The Kindle is marketed everywhere with a 1 year warranty. I got one as a gift that was bought from another retailer, although the whole purpose is to download Amazon product and enjoy their books and periodicals. In less than 90 days I have a piece of trash that doesn't work. Amazon does not stand behind their products as sold and marketed. I was very disappointed and will try to never buy from them again.

word of advise, never log in from a public computer. they will claim you are attempting fraud. Evidently 10, 000's of ISPs, bank accts & phone # are on a secret hit list that automatically disallows any usage.
Neighbor with Amazon acct, set one up for her mother in iowa. since some of the entry data came form her ISP, Amazon took the stance that she was opening a fraud acct. & not only would not allow her mother to have actt but closed the other one. explanation, since she had an acct, a second one was fraud.
friend of son opened one for girl friend using computer at school -- same result. since he used his cell phone in parents name, his mother's account was also closed out. & since they lived in an apartment, they learned later, that triggered several other with "same address" to also be closed out. at least that seemed to be the trigger.
Are they totally insane or just evil. They will never tell you why either. They are in Canada, so maybe we need a federal ban on them totally.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
And people say my cranium is compressed... 3rd party complaint from an uninformed person. BTW - Amazon is an American company.
There is a lot of online fraud and Amazon is just protecting themselves. You are totally nuts if you do personal transactions over a public computer anyway.
getting back on amazon after suspension
Where does Amazon get the nerve suspending sellers with well-establish accounts.Over 3 years I been selling with them with over 60 positive feedback, and one day boom!I receive an email saying That Amazon has suspended my account, and that the decision is final.I can never sell on amazon again. So what was I suppose to do .Its amazons site and they have the right to kick anybody off when ever they like. But I have a family to feed, so am I suppose to let them starve if amazon has been the main source of my money.I would never let that happen.
It took a couple of months before I figured out how to get back on and selling at full speed again covering every angle that amazon looks for.And i been running 3 amazon accounts from the same computer for over 2 years.Never suspended again! This was for the before the books you find on this subject ever came out.A couple of the authors who've put out them get back on Amazon books received most this information from me through private chats with in forums, tho I wont take all the credit. But most stealth accounts coming from them guides, never last more than 3-6 months. Its because the authors fail to tell you key points to making your accounts last, passing amazon seller reveiws.
After you get suspended Amazon's data base logs all of your information that you have ever used with them during your account.IP address, email account, billing address, phone number, and cookies. Now you might say that I can find a way around all of that and Amazon will not be able to Link me.OH Really! So what can you do about your Hardware's mac address they can read.Meaning you cant ever use the same computer again with them, or the Browser fingerprinting they do.
Getting back on amazon is all based on strategy.Once you figure out the strategy you will have lasting accounts. My name is Trey King.I run a service that gets suspended sellers from amazon back up and running with in a day or two.I will walk you through step by step until you are back to selling again .Through my methods there is no way amazon will be able to link you and they are completely ethical and legal.I will show you the cheapest and smoothest strategy to running many amazon stealth accounts from one computer.I've been running 3 sellers account from 1 computer for over 2 years.Never linked, never suspended. How ever I do charge a small fee, nothing back breaking! But trust me it is well worth all the information, guidance, and advice you will receive.I am willing to prove my identity.Add me on facebook @ http://www.facebook.com//profile.php?id=100000250281814, email at [protected]@gmail.com, skype me @ mrworth401.
Fight back against amazon and show them you cant be stopped by their unethical business practices!hkb
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Horrible. Support was subpar. Would not be being anything from these people ever again.
Only people I trust is either the sellers off the Aspkin forums or Auction Essistance.
I would like to start off by saying that Trey King is not a scam! I work very closely with him and he is very knowledgeable.
Both of us are happy to help anyone get back on Amazon, and we not only have the information, but software which we designed to help you get back on Amazon, and manage your Amazon account. The software is now available, just search "Axtron Stealth" and see.

This guy does know what he's talking about, yes you could get Amazon Ghost book, but Trey King not only puts it into proper context, he explains why to do it this way. Many, many people can get back on Amazon quick. But they don't stay. One little screw up down the line 6 months later, a year later is what usually does it. If you want to know how Amazon thinks, from someone who actively has helped it least 35 active running Amazon sellers who are honest and going good, talk to him.
But also, don't be afraid to ask the hard questions or have him repeat/rephrase things. Some of the simplest things he teaches, many of us think we know it and we DO NOT.
I was originally banned because my neighbors sold something illegally or fraudulent on Amazon, then one day accidentally typed in my address for delivery of a persona product, and Amazon banned me. At that time, I was making $500-$1, 000 a month and loving it. Then I realized the dark side of Amazon and their own fraud, and there is legal ways to get back on Amazon and Trey helps you do that.
Trey Worth King or MrWorth This guy is a fake, all the information that he will gave you you could find on youtube, i have been stolen from him, i payd, and 1 month later my account was closed, and he said its not my responsability, what a fu.. guy, he suposed that warranty the service, but you dont have to pay everything is online and FREE !, i fall on his trap, but now i know. Be aware from this guy: Trey Worth King or MrWorth
Don't buy services from this guy. His services are around 200$ and he doesn't have any information worth this much money. He just pretends to seem like he is very knowledgeable about stuff, but he is not. His knowledge comes from an e-book called 'Amazon Ghost' which is like 30$. He will skype you and text you the stuff, which is ridiculously slow, it would be easier if he just wrote all the stuff and copied and pasted.
Again, just save yourself from the trouble and buy Amazon Ghost e-book for 30$ instead of paying this guy 200$ (not negotiable even if you know 90% of his stuff).

About Amazon
Amazon's success can be attributed to its innovative business model, which has disrupted traditional retail markets. The company's online platform allows customers to browse and purchase products from a vast selection of categories, including electronics, books, clothing, and household items. Amazon also offers a range of services, such as Amazon Prime, which provides customers with free shipping, access to streaming services, and other benefits.
In addition to its retail operations, Amazon has also expanded into other areas of technology, such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing platform that provides businesses with a range of services, including storage, computing power, and analytics. AWS is one of the largest cloud computing providers in the world, with a market share of over 30%.
Amazon's success has not been without controversy, however. The company has faced criticism over its treatment of workers, with reports of poor working conditions and low wages. Amazon has also been accused of anti-competitive practices, with some critics arguing that the company's dominance in the retail market gives it an unfair advantage over smaller competitors.
Despite these challenges, Amazon continues to be a major player in the technology industry, with a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The company's commitment to providing high-quality products and services has helped it to maintain its position as one of the most valuable companies in the world.
