Crown
I am having a crown with an abutment made by Aspen. I contacted the West Springfield office to make sure they handled the implant I had have. They said they did. I asked for a price for the full procedure and was quoted 1023.00 with my Aetna savings card. I prepaid in December if 2022 so I could include that as part of my taxes. Well I went in Monday and they said it was to check my mouth . Thry took a bunch of X-rays checked my teeth but didn't do an impression. I had to go back today for that. When I showed up I was given additional billing for my crown. A total of almost a thousand dollars. I'm very upset about this bs additional billing?
Desired outcome: Honor my original quote for the crown and don't charge for the other services. I prepaid for what I was getting done!
I am disable and taken full advantage
I went to Aspen Dental to get an estimate for dental work, I gave the temporary manager my insurance card and the total estimate was $2603 if I committed that particular day. I agreed for that amount and signed the estimate for that amount. I gave them $1000 down with a balance of $2603. the I had appointment to come back to check on my mouth and was told i needed to make a payment, so I paid them $200 for the next two appointments. then I get a bill for $4392, I thought it was a mistake cause nobody makes a $2000 mistake, so I went to Aspen Dental to take up the issue with this charge and was told that that is what I owe, and I asked how could that be so with my estimate that I have, what happened was the temporary manager filed a false claim to get me to do the work, so I went back and forth with them several times. In the mean time the insurance paid $6195 to them which paid off my bill total and left me a refund of $1803, the manager stated with a email that she and the corporate office states that I was due a refund of $1803 but they kept that refund and placed it on the amount they took out the first time when the temporary manager committed fraud in giving me that quote in the beginning. I have written email from the manager that the money was due to me along with the manager, stated that corporate agreed it was to be refunded to me in which they didn't refund it to me. I am going to give them a few mor days to correct this problem as I was taken full advantage because I am disabled for I take a step in legal action
Desired outcome: My desired outcome is for them to pay me the $1803 that is owed to me and I will not ever recommend them to anyone. They are all about money not the customer.
Dentures from Gaylord MI branch
I had my teeth extracted(22 teeth) in September 24, 2021, then received my dentures about 4 months later. My total out of pocket cost was $7,000.00.
I understood that Aspen guaranteed customer satisfaction. When I went back to the office March, 2023. I was again told there was nothing they could do. I could try to have reclined at a cost of $299.00, but there is only 50% chance that would help. When I asked about the customer satisfaction guarantee. I was told that does not guarantee dentures will fit, just things like if they break in the first year, nothing after that. I did not receive a copy of the guarantee and was never told it was only for 1 year.
I have been back to the dentist se real times in the 18 months since I received the dentures because they do not or have never fit properly. I am unable to wear the bottom plate, regardless how much adhesive I put on them they will not stay in my mouth. If I go to dinner or simply try to talk they fly out of my mouth.
Desired outcome: Either dentures that I can wear or a full refund.
Unnecessary dental services via Aspen Dental, Waco, TX
My name is Cheryl Woolf. As I'm a legal specialist where or whom do I see regarding filing a claim against Aspen Dental for unnecessary services that I have been paying for through Dental First Financing.
I moved here from Seattle, Washington in April 2017; and I had been receiving dental care every 6 months. After I moved here Aspen Dental was in my dental plan for providers.
During the last three years I have multiple teeth removed; apparatus prepared; now I have to have 4 crowns, and another filling.
Since I could not afford their services, I had to apply for financing. I'm still paying on my account through Dental First Financing.
I have tried to get my dental records and have sent them a letter authorizing them to release my records; and signed their Authorization to Release information, am still waiting for their records.
I firmly believe that I have another victim from Aspen Dental for deceptive practice.
Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursement and compensated for permanent teeth removed.
Complaining about the staff
It has been over 5 months since I had a denture and I still didn’t enjoy one week, too much pain and when I call to schedule an appointment , they always say the only appointment we have is about 2 weeks so I have to wait and suffer for two weeks , I try to complain to a supervisor but I couldn’t because supervisor never available, I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone else and that’s a promise
Substandard dentures
A little over 7 years ago i had the Glens Falls, NY office do a complete set of dentures, with implants on the bottom set, since that time the have lost teeth and broken the dentures 15 times and now I’m on my 16th the implants have never worked and I’ve recently been told that the implants can’t be fixed as they no longer use this type of implants. There was a 7 year warranty and they did repair them each time, however; can you imagine e having any faith in this product since they failed so many times. And the last time they broke they wer at the end of the warranty and i went to the Scottsdale AZ office for the repair and when i got them back you could still see the break, an extensive one split the uppers in half, so i complained to the Syracuse, NY office and they then sent me to the Mesa AZ office to have them looked at, the dentist there inspected them and his words “well its a temporary repair and when they break again, and they will, come back and ill do a permanent fix” I think I’ve been sold a very expensive piece of garbage. Obviously hoping they will actually stand behind their work is a pipe dream they’ve had plenty of opportunity!
Desired outcome: My original investment refunded so i can get these substandard dentures replaced with a quality product. My thoughts are I’m going to have to consult an injury attorney!
Aspen dental carecredit card policy that says you can't use it unless it's over 200.00.
I am a patient with the Warsaw office. I applied for a CareCredit card and received it. I paid the 1st balance, which was over 2000.00, and then get another bill for a 149.00 and tried to pay it and Aspen said it had to be over 200.00 or I couldn't use the CareCredit. So, I contacted CareCredit, and they said it wasn't on their end it was an Aspen policy. So, I call Aspen back and told them I would wait till my next visit, and that would put it over 200.00 then I could pay it, they said that would be fine. My appointment is April 17th, so I get a call today that said if they didn't get their 149.00 before my appointment, they couldn't see me. Needless to say, that didn't make me very happy! You suggested that I get the CareCredit card then you put rules on that card where you can't use it, then you call to threaten my next appointment if the payment isn't made. I will find a way to pay it then let you finish what you started, then I will find someone else to do the other dental work I need done and they don't have any rules about my CareCredit card!
Desired outcome: Fix the stupid policy that Aspen has in place, so that people can use their CareCredit card no matter what the balance!
Broken denture
I have been to Aspen Dental in Daphne Alabama for a denture repair. I have been at least 4 times for the same problems. I was told by the Dentist I had overgrowth of bone in the roof of my mouth and I could either have surgery on my mouth or surgery on the denture. They did a horseshoe on the denture but did not fix the crack in the denture. Friday night my denture broke in half. I returned today and I was told they would not do anything and I would have to go somewhere else for treatment. They have used my dental insurance benefits and charged me money so now I have to go somewhere else and pay out of pocket for a new denture. I kept telling the Office Manager the crack in the denture was not repaired. He just kept repeating with the bone overgrowth I was going to have problems. I will be calling my Insurance Company in the morning to let them know they were billed for services not provided.
Desired outcome: I think I deserve refunds for services not provided because when I got home last week I called them back and told them my denture was still cracked and they made me an appointment for this Thursday.
Teeth extraction/ gum problems/ partial top
Ever since they pulled my teeth I have been having nothing but gum problems and infection back in my mouth. My stitches still has yet to dissolve as they put it. And I can't get seen or taken care of because they said my insurance didn't pay for it when they did. So they are making me pay out of my pocket 100 or more dollars to be seen when I don't owe them anything they are overcharging me . And now I'm stuck with this problem and need help to get this situation resolved or answers on what I can do to get my teeth/ gums healed and looked at or how to take care of Aspen dental issue. Because this is some [censored]. They don't need to get away with it.
Desired outcome: I want to be seen for 1. And for 2. If I can't be seen I would want them to pay for it. So I can go somewhere else to get help.
Me too !
Denture replacement
I live in Murray, KY. It has been over 2 months waiting for my replacements. The Murray office was without a tech for most of this time. I was informed today it would be up to another 6 weeks before I might expect my replacements due to the fact the tech is so far behind. If Aspen Dental cared about customer service you might consider sending another tech one day a week to help speed up the process. Aspen has offices in both Paducah and Hopkinsville which I am sure could be used to assist in this backlog. Of course that is if Aspen Dental gave a crap about the customer.I am disable and do not have transportation, also I am on a fixed income. It is your fault for allowing this mess to happen at your Murray
office. I have dental insurance that travels where I see fit and after this offensive behavior and my replacements are completed you can be assured I will cease to be a customer. not that you care. Word of mouth is a great tool and so is social media. Best of all there is legal recourse afforded me under the ADA.

Dentures
Got full dentures and was not happy especially with bottom plate, I was told the package I got did not include replacement dentures.. Covid came abroad Aspen dental closed. They told me I was done and anymore work would cost me, after reopening they told me there was nothing they could do without charging and I was already charged more than I was told. The work a young girl done to the bottom denture is atrocious, you can see a tooth coming through the back side.. I refused to pay and am now being sued by a collection agency for $4,150.00
Desired outcome: Would like my account cleared. I don’t want Aspen Dental working on my dentures or mouth. This ruined my credit.. can’t afford to get new ones..
Aspen Dental in Bloomington In and Jasper IN
The week before Christmas 2022, my top dentures cracked. I took them in to be repaired, still under warranty, the lab tech said they could not be repaired again. Yes they had broke at least twice before. They said they would line them and that should hold me over till after Christmas, it didn't, they broke completely that same afternoon. I was told i couldn't get in till 2cd week of January for new impressions. I have my teeth on bottom, they managed to get me in right away to get a small filling done. When my appointment came around it was canceled and rescheduled multiple times. I finally got my new dentures on March 14, on March 18 one of the front teeth fell out. Now I'm told i can't get them fixed till May in Bloomington, IN. So they asked if I would drive to Jasper to have them repaired, its an hour drive and I took day off work to get them fixed on March 24th. On March 22 they called to confirm appointment, on March 23 at 4PM they call to cancel it again. Is this Aspens normal business practice, I thought it was only a problem with the Bloomington store, seems like its company wide.
Desired outcome: I want the dentures repaired in a timely fashion. Not keep canceling appointments repeatedly.

I had requested all my records at which time I reviewed them and found major discrepancies – first of which my visit to which I finally met with the owner in the Merritt Island office was not even in the requested documents given to me as a representation of ALL my records, although every other visit was thoroughly documented. (During this meeting is where I was informed that the original procedure would have been discouraged by Jean Marius, DDS (Owner) and at this time he informed me I would need two more months healing time (Which I complied but not after expressing my complete discuss in the handling of not only giving me the proper information but also not scheduling this correctly – This information is not in any of the records I had received and not only that but every subsequent appointment stated my satisfaction on leaving which is a total lie – I asked every single time to speak to someone from corporate in relation to my disgust in the total failure especially after finding out that two more implants had failed leaving me with only two of the four contracted to hold this upper denture in place witch is impossible to provide the contracted desired effect to alleviate my gagging issue – as of now the final comes loose constantly, has a large portion still covering my upper pallet which is not much less at all than my original denture – This final outcome is a “TOTAL COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE CONTRACTED PROCEDURE”
The service contracted was for a full upper denture with four implants for complete final described and approved in signed contracted to provide the best result concerning my gagging reflex with current denture used.
This statement is shown below directly out of the original signed and approved contract as to the service to be provided
It was understood that there were possibilities of implant failures to which two implants did fail, after the first initial implant surgery in 2021, and were replaced in 2022 (which extended the treatment and healing time by another 6 months – which I understood and did not complain)
Then on arrival on July 22, 2022 for the exposure of the four remaining implants (I paid the full bill not only for the exposure of the four remaining implants but the final for the total remaining balance that I was informed would finalize all financial responsibility on my part – then I was informed by Jean Marius, DDS (Owner and first time meeting him) that after his review my condition “He would have originally tried to talk me out of the procedure completely – See attached original “Discussion and Consent for Implant Placement Surgery” with Dr. James in the Viera office on 11/17/2021
(NOTE THAT THIS OFFICE VISIT IS THE ONLY VISIT COMPLETELY LEFT OUT OF THE RECORDS I HAD REQUESTED EVEN THOUGH EACH AND EVERYONE ELSE WETHER CHARGED OR NOT WAS DOCUMENTS – I MADE A PAYMNET ON THIS DATE THAT IS REFLECTED IN THE PAPPER WORK WHICH CLEARLY ACKNOLEDGES THE APPOINTMENT AND ALL THE STATEMENTS I HAVE MADE CONCERNING DISCUSSIONS DURRING THAT OFFICE VISIT IN THE MERRITT ISLAND OFFICE)
The total contracted treatment plan fee was stated as estimated $13,015.00, insurance discount estimate of $1,881.20, insurance benefit estimated of $1,650 leaving me to owe $9483.80
The Actual overall cost was $12,466.00 (which is over inflated per services not provided – only to implants remaining that had to have abutment -Placements amongst other issues) In network discounts $1,926.20, insurance benefit payments $2,284.00 and personal payments made by myself in the amount of $8,305.80 comes to that I have over paid for “FAILED CONTRACTED SERVICES” in the amount of $49 and yet you still have the audacity to bill for more money when you have totally failed in the original contracted services.
It is stated in the contract that prior to legal action that a “Independent Mediator/Arbitrator” be used to resolve – I welcome this and to show all my records and lack of records provided by Aspen Dental on my request.
A ridiculous attempt was made per one phone call with an Aspen Representative who only offered to reimburse two implants and the final denture but never mentioned a monetary amount - But with that stated the refund amount would need to be in the range of my current out of my pocket amount of $8,000 and that’s not including what CIGNA has paid which is reflected in the overall billing
I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau with my documentation.
Desired outcome: Please refund
Lower Partial not fitting
I had a new lower partial made in 2020 and it fit. In 2022I had to have three teeth polled and they were going to add teeth to my partial that I currently had. They took an impression with the partial in my mouth before they pulled the teeth. I had a lot of bone fragments after the teeth were polled and pain the partial did not fit. I kept having them...

I had both upper & lower dentures did; back 2022, I contacted Aspen to get my lower dentures repaired, the 1st time they replaced a broken hook, 2nd time dentures fixed was too loose,3rd time they were not correct so the manager I assumed told me that they would give me a refund if the dentures didn’t work,so the dentures finally came in and they were so tight that I got blisters in my mouth. I called them to come in, to get them adjusted. But when I got there the
manager & another manager said they felt it would be better to give me a refund, & not adjust or fix the denture.1st I Never asked for a refund, I just wanted them to be done right ,nor did they offer to adjust them. The refund was no where near what I pd.for them, I am very disappointed in their service , no complaints about the staff, if am not having problems with the upper denture
that was made correctly why am I having so many problems with the lower

Comfy lites
On March 8 I filed a complaint with BBB bcse I was made to pay 3000 bucks cash for teeth in August for teeth promised in 6 months and was to do final step 9 months later and still have no teeth!I've asked 4 times for adjustments with temp and they still cut me! This is the worst services ever and I am informing you. 2 months ago I called to talk to office manager and she never called back. Wdnsdy they canceled my appt hours before and had verbally told me I would have my teeth tmrw at noon! They called my 2nd number of contact for canceling but my number to get the money! So unprofessional I asked to be called and I've still not rcvd a call a week later.
Desired outcome: I want my teeth or my money back
Arestin Injection
Aspen dental willfully misled me into receiving injections they knew would not be covered by insurance and are clinically insignificant. They intended to make as much money as possible and led me to believe the treatment was necessary. The location was Hadley, MA.
They billed the wrong insurance after I had given them my new insurance details. When the old insurance (that didn't cover me) refused to pay (obviously), I was billed even though they had the new insurance information. Additionally, in their estimate breakdown, they listed discounts for medicines that I was charged for nonetheless. They did not apply listed discounts.
Desired outcome: I want a refund for the money they stole from me.
