Upper denture
On Nov. 4, 2022 at 8:53AM [trans. # 104658] I paid for a set of upper dentures. To date they have been repaired three times where separate teeth have come out [this last time was while I was eating pasta]. There is obviously an issue with the manufacturing of these teeth. The location has been repairing them for free, so far. Also my insurance company ha...
Read full review of Aspen DentalI got a bill 5 months later
I was charged for service 5 months after services, When I paid my co pay and everything was good. I have seen other issues about this. My appointment date was 12/19/2023 and I just got a bill for 161.00 I paid 60% at the time I made the apportionment and 40% after I got the services done. After calling my insurance, they did not have a proper claim and the claim got denied. Because they did not follow up in a correct, timely manner. They are not trying to charge me because of their mistake
Desired outcome: get rid of the extra charges the bill was paid in full for 5 months

Last Jan 3, 2023 my permanent dental implant/denture was finally installed. But after only 3 months of use the left screw broke. It just so happened that when I was cleaning the denture I saw the broken screw sticking on the denture. I right away headed to Aspem Dental where it was done. The dentist then tried fixing it but unfortunately he said he needed a...
Read full review of Aspen DentalTooth pulling
So my first appointment was scheduled down at your location at Madison on East Washington, I took 2 hrs off work and drove 1 hr to this location to only be told they couldn't pull my tooth because they couldn't call insurance co. to verify my insurance. So nothing so that was a loss of $40 in gas and $40 in wages. then I recalled my insurance to see whom is in network to do this and again, i'm given your facaility in Plover. So I schedule the appointment for April 24th, 2023 @8 am, I take a day off work for this procedure to be done once again, drive 1.5 hrs. to your facility and do my check in, give them the referral from my dentist, to show what tooth needs to be removed. and then am told they have to do a full mouth x rays, consulation, and still no tooth pulled as they tell me that the doctor didn't have time to do it, he needs to reschedule this procedure. so again its $40 in gas, $ 144.80 in wages for the day. the dentist was very rude, and you may need to look at your scheduling service to make sure they are following what people need done. I will never step foot back in an aspen dental office ever again for nothing. I want to be reimbursed for my wasted time for your poor quality of service. Cindy Reetz
Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed for your poor quality of service in the amount of $284.00 for my loss wages and gas
Incorrect billing and not fitting denture
I had a tooth extraction and then had lower dentures made. My insurance paid all but approx. 600.00 which was set up on a payment plan. The first payment a mistake was made. and it to quite a while to fix it. I was making payments and just about every day I was receiving collection calls. I finally told the lady that if I received another call she would hear from my attorney. In the meantime, the dental office refused to see me because I wasn't paying the payments. I tried to straighten this out without success. Then approximately two weeks after that I received two checks totaling the amount I had paid toward the remaining balance. So now I am left with a lower denture that does not fit. I'm sure that my insurance paid a good portion of this, and I got nothing in return.
Desired outcome: a lower denture that fixs.
Services charged, not rendered, insurance/billing fraud, dental malpractice,
Aspen Dental Estero did not complete all services my insurance was billed for, I paid in advance for, and double charged me above the cost quoted to me that I paid. In addition, they fitted a bridge on a tooth I was told had a root canal, it did not. That tooth rotted underneath causing the bridge to come off. They shaved the anchored teeth to pointed tips to fit underneath bridge as well.
I came to the office with my bridge in my hand requesting to be made whole as I was told I had a 5 year guarantee on my bridge. They pulled me from the dental chair stating they needed to review my treatment plan. They handed me a plan that cost $10,000. They would not fix my broken bridge until I had my teeth cleaned first at $379. I am left with a dental appliance in my hand, shaved teeth and missing 3.
Absolutely will not give these people another dime. They have not given me my refund for services not rendered that I paid for twice. I had 2 dental insurance policies at the time of services. They billed both insurance, insurance paid. I secured a load of $10,000, they charged the full amount before any work was done. They then presented me another bill of $1200 stating this was in addition that was not covered.
That is fraud. You are charging the insurance, the patient, and the patient again for services upfront. Plus, the services not rendered.
I have contacted Florida Dental Board, BBB, Attorney General, and notified both dental insurance companies of their predatory practices. I will be obtaining legal counsel. I want a full refund for all services charged. You have ruined my teeth.
Desired outcome: FULL REFUND FOR ALL CHARGED SERVICES
Crown
When I called got a quote that was bait and switch. Even had a girl call for a quote with her still the same price. Still charged me more money for the quote. The temporary crown fell out on the first day. The real crown fell out 2 times. Headaches every time for days after the crown is put in. When I call to make appts. the office girl says she will call back and doesn't to make appt two times. The dentist is rude and treats you like cattle. Still have headaches when I eat. The tooth feels like it's in wrong. I dread going to get it fixed.
Desired outcome: new crown different office
Outrageous charges
April 18, 2023
TO: Owners of Aspen Dental office – Causeway Blvd, Brandon, Florida
I am writing to you in hopes of resolving the absolutely absurd teeth cleaning bill that your office charged me for. At NO TIME were any of these charges gone over with me, and I NEVER knew about these outrageous charges until after the fact when I inquired why a $900 balance wasn’t just taken out of the $4,000 that I financed. When I was told that the $4,000 was already eaten up with the deep teeth cleaning, I was shocked! Let that sink in. $3,600 for a simple deep teeth cleaning that took less than one hour!
Looking at this bill for the first time after-the-fact, there are 13 charges at $106 each, for a total of $1,378, which I was never told about and never approved. I have had numerous deep teeth cleanings and never was Arestin, whatever that is, used at any time. And believe me, the cleanings were much more invasive and painful than what I experienced with your hygienist. She was very gentle and I assume did a good job.
In addition, you haver four charges of $19 each for “irrigation.” What the heck is that? Water rinsing? Are you serious?
Then you charged $323 per quadrant for scaling and root planning, which is way above the normal charges in the area. That alone comes to $1,292, for a hygienist that you pay $60 per hour to. But okay. Whatever.
In addition, there are three charges for $233 each for Composite 1 surface posterior, whatever the hell that is. Give me a break.
And to top it off, I was charged $70 for mouth rinse and a small toothpaste, that I thought was free, just like every other dentist I have gone to gives you a toothbrush and toothpaste. If I would have been informed that I was going to be charged $70 for this junk, I would have never accepted these items.
Added all up, you charged me over $3,600 for deep teeth cleaning! I can’t believe you can look someone in the face and tell them that their teeth cleaning cost over $3,500. In my you’re your offices perpetrated a scam and a fraud and basically “stole” about $2,500 from me.
And let me be clear. At no time was I told about these charges! If I had been, I would have laughed in your face and walked out of your offices immediately.
I have seen an attorney and was told to try to settle the matter between us first, and if that doesn’t work, then we will file suit. I will also be reporting your outrageous charges and business practices to the Dental Board.
No matter what, I will never spend another dime at your office, and you owe me back $1,388 for the teeth removal that has never happened.
You have my contact information. [protected]. [protected]@yahoo.com I will give you 10 days before to try to resolve this matter before I take legal action.
Sincerely, Jerry Lefler
Dentures
I am very disappointed with this company and would never ever recommend them. They have been incompetent throughout the whole procedure. First was with the impressions for my temporary dentures ; I had and impression made for new dentures, a week later they called me and said that I would have to have a new impression done because the first one did not turn out right. So I had that done. Next I was schedule to have my teeth removed. This was to be a major operation requiring a surgent and sedation . The day of the procedure, they scheduled me with a dentist who would use Novocain . Had to reschedule. Waited four months to get a surgent. Two days before the operation, I received a call that I had a balance that need to be paid before I could get the operation. I had already paid in full the price that they quoted me. They said that it was because the procedure required a surgeon. When to pay but there was some kind of accounting mix up between what they quoted me and what corporate was quoting. They said that I might get a bill in the future
Had the operation and they put temp dentures in. Mouth began to bleed that day and they took the temp dentures out to allow my gums to heal. A week later went back to have the temps put back in. The next day I had to once again go back because they made the temps to big for my mouth. They hurt my jaw, couldn't chow with them or close my lips. They had to once again make a new impression and send out for new dentures. Still waiting for them to come in. Super incompetence. After I get the new temp dentures, I have to wait for six months to get the permanent dentures. This had been nothing short of a nightmare. I would never recommend them and will never use them again.
Desired outcome: to be finically compensated for the hassle that I am going through . I don't believe that I should have to pay for any extra charges that they may try to charge me with.
Temporary crown
Temporary crown that was put in on 4-14-23. I was at Aspen dental for more than 4 hours, the temporary the first 2 crumble in the office. So 1 more was put on I headed home got 2 miles from the Aspen dentist office, it came apart, so I go back to dentist office, they put another one in, I head back home again, and this one they put in came out. I go back to the office, they are close for the day. They close on Saturday. This doesn’t make sense. I don’t have a crown in back tooth. I got to go back to work Sunday, I won’t be off tell the weekend. This what happens to me shouldn’t have happen if people’s in office knew what they was doing.
Desired outcome: I would like to get my permanent one’s put in and hope they won’t keep falling out the cost for this was $5,524.40.
Being billed after billed and paid through insurance
I had my teeth pulled and dentures which had to be paid 100% prior to the procedure being completed. I had two insurances which were both billed then the balance I paid $1100 cash and the balace was financed thru Care Credit. Now they have sent $663 into collections, This debit is not legitimate! After my procedure I claimed bankruptcy Chapter 13 and if this was open debt it would have been on there. Aspen Dental did not charge for this until years later my procedure was done in February 2019. I claimed bankruptcy a few months after that.
Desired outcome: I want this written off so not on my credit report and my Aspen Dental bill maked Paid In Full, as it truly is!
Insurance payments and overpayment
4/13/23 I had an appointment at Aspen Dental for 830a. When I arrived at 815a on 4/13/23 I brought up concerns about my account and a credit on my account that Mysteriously vanished. When I questioned them about it they said my insurance on paid a percentage for the service received but when I called my insurance the representative verified their payment through the EOB and said they paid in full for my preventive care and cleaning well once I relayed that information back to the receptionist she immediately changed my appointment and said it was at 8am and not 830am to inconvenience me.
I showed her my email with my appointment time and she said that corporate changed my appointment. Well I called corporate while I was there and corporate said that they don't make or change appointments.
I also have the card that was given to me on 4/4/23 with my appointment date and time in which it says 830a. So actually I wasn't late to my appointment but I was early. They just inconvenienced me because I discovered fraudulent activity on my account.
One implant in top front.
I started out with Dr. Williams, who at the time was very professional and transparent.
I paid along to have an implant.
I went in as scheduled in February for implant.
They could NOT do it because my gum did not "heal correctly". I haven't added any problems.
So they split my gum open again with stitches.
Come back in 10 days for evaluation and implant.
Now NEW dentists are taking care of me and their evaluation of my x-rays are NOT in comparison with Dr. Williams.
So now, I sit down for the third time to show me my costs and what they need to do.
More $ from my pocket they want.
They cannot finish implant. They want to mess with other teeth first for $.
I set up an appointment for consultation with Dr. Williams on 4/10/2023
They took my $25 copay. I sit there for 37 minutes. Not one person from staff speaking to me until I get up to leave.
I tell them to have Dr. Williams text me when she had time for me. Jarrod asks me what I need to see her about? I simply said I have my "answers" and left. Not one person has contacted me.
They hook you and string you along for $ out of your pocket.
My insurance says my implant has been paid for. What is their problem with billing?
I learned 4/10/2023, Dr. Williams sold her share of the business. She works there only now. I know why she won't face me.
Crook and a liar!
Also, copies of all my "care" there, since I started as a patient. I have a feeling they will not turn over everything from talking to staff.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of a portion paid for my implant so I can have an Honest business help me with my dental needs.
my 3 year old dentures/my new ones
you would think that dentures would last about ten years or better if you take care of them like i do.but lately my teeth keep falling out.not breaking but falling out.and to have them glued back in is very expensive.talking about close to $159 to 200 dollars for one tooth.so i got another set that im not satisfied the way they look.but its past my warranty so im screwed again.my new ones have to be glued in about 5 times a day.they are to big for my mouth.thats my complaint.i have been a aspen patient for about 30 years.
Desired outcome: maybe a break in price for putting my teeth back in or free.
Denture
Good morning,
I had a full denture made by your company in Hollywood Florida 1 month ago, I am very unhappy with my denture, they told me I will get used to it, I have had denture made for the past 10 yrs, this new denture never fit and deformed my face and I am unable to talk normally and eat;
I went back to your office twice and they kept on saying I will get use to it
Well my new denture which I paid over $2500 is so badly made that now I have to go to another dentist and order a brand-new denture.
I am so unhappy with your services, it felt like your team was students with not many experiences in dentistry,
It’s very expensive and I feel like I have been robbed by a team of very bad dentist
I would like a complaint form and a refund, it’s totally unacceptable.
I had the denture examine by another dentist, who told me it does not fit my mouth.
After trying my best to get use to it (which I should not have done ✔️)
I have resigned now to redo the whole process again
I had my old denture and your dentist did not even try to compare the denture
I am so angry and disappointed
Please send me a complaint form
Thank you
Isabelle Nicolaides
I used Hollywood Florida dentist office
Desired outcome: full refund
My payments and my bill
After I got a cleaning done in the Saugus Aspen Dental office. I was told I needed a filling and a crown replaced. Well they told me with the insurance coverage it would cost me about $437. I waited 2-3 weeks to get this done. Then the charge was $493. I was outraged. Then I got a credit for $73 so the work was done and I was satisfied. Then when the insurance mailed me my benefits form I thought everything was ok. Then last night I get this bill form Aspen dental. It said I had -$13 balance, then new charges of $2447.00, new credits of $1443.00 leaving an account balance of $991 and I have to pay at least 430 in less than a week. I find this outrageous. When did these new charges come into effect. I was never notified about this. If I have to end up paying this amount I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am tired of being cheated by these big companies.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response on what I should do.
Please tell me if this is a scam. I have been a patient at Aspen for 4 years and I hope they are not trying to screw me.
Dentures less that a year old
This place is a joke ! From day one they haven't helped us, beginning with filling out our insurance forms for $1,000 coverage. They made the dentures wrong from the beginning, then rigged them here and there through our numerous appointments, driving 20 miles each way. Now the icing on the cake was, while eating a pretzel, one of the teeth falls out. Of course it's "under warranty" , could be 2 weeks to get back dentures that weren't made correct in the first place, only 1 year old ! Then they send someone in my exam room, to try to get more money from me,to upgrade my dentures ? So, they can't do their job and want us to pay for another screw up from them ? Buyer beware. This happened at the Lakewood, NY office
Desired outcome: We want a NEW DENTURE MADE AS THIS ONE HAS NEVER FIX CORRECTLY
