Axis Bank axisbank remittance

This is regarding an idiotic experience I had with Axisbank remittance. This is the first time I did not try to use Wire Transfer and regret my decision.

I live in the USA and, on 14th of July, 2009, I sent $5000 to a friend using Axisbank remittance, where the purpose of the transaction was
mentioned as "home maintenance".

Then on the next day, someone called me to ask who I was sending the money and how I knew her. I verified with him, telling that I have known this person for long and I may marry her next year.

After that, one week passes, and the exchange rate falls from $1 = 49.6 (approx, unless I am wrong) to Rs 48.3 (approx, on 22nd July, today) or maybe even more, and I never again hear from anyone, nor does the money gets transferred.

Today (22nd July, 2009), once again another guy called me to say that, since I wrote "home maintenance" in the box, but then I mentioned on phone a different purpose ("she is someone I know for long and I may marry her next year"), they had to verify and wait for further clearance.

For what?

They need verification and clearance for US$5000? Is it a joke? Or everyone at the Axisbank remittance lost their mind? What is happening? Am I being the butt of a joke?

They probably just wait for the $ value to fall, so that they can [censored] off my money, make a profit of about Rs 10, 000, and screw me in the process!

I regret having opened an account with them.

Now I came to know that it will take 3 more days for the money to be really remitted. Today is 22nd July, which means it will take 2 weeks for the money to be transferred (14th July - 27th July, at the earliest)! It would have taken less time if I had tied the money to a pigeon's legs and sent it off!

Do not use Axis bank remittance. They are terrible and has their own ways to count working days. In my case it took more than 9 days to deposit money and CS agent knows everything. At one point I told him to connect me to upper level of support he immediately told me no point because I know what he will tell you. -- Posted date 10/07/2014 - Pradip Patel

dear sir,
I had give request for cheque book from last one month, but till i have not rcvd my cheque book. without chque book i can't manage my financial trasaction.so pls do the concrete step on my complaint.pls try to get my chque book as early as possible.

Axis Bank unfair treatment

My wife and self are the account holders of your good bank. We are both senior citizens having priority account.

My name is Dilip Jamnadas Dhruv S/B A/C No. [protected] which is also a PRIORITY Service account. I am 70 year old

My wife's name is Jashawanti Dilip Dhruv S/B A/C No. [protected] which is also a PRIORITY Service account. She is 68 years old

In the past two bank annual Diaries were received from the branch office.

Surprisingly this year no diaries were received by us, Upon enquiring I was told that the diaries are posted to your home address directly.

Up til today far no diaries received. Friends / acquaintances of mine received the diaries locally.

It is not the question of diaries but it seems something wrong somewhere.

Previously I had an account with HDFC bank who gave the diaries prior to starting of the year (received diary in December for the next year.

Hope matter is looked in seriously and needful action taken.

Axis Bank axis bank - home loan emi not getting deducted correctly

I have AXIS bank home loan. They are not deducting my EMI as I had paid 1, 00, 00o additional amount to be adjusted towards my principal. However AXIS bank is saying the problem is because the additional amount is not adjusted so it appears that I have more funds and hence EMI is not getting deducted as per the schedule.

I am calling them for the past 1.5 months and each time I hear it gets adjusted that day and the EMI will be deducted. However It does not happen. So I am trying to undestand:

- what is the excess interest I have been paying for AXIS bank not adjusting my principal and not deducting EMI on time.

If I ever get answer, I will update. Wish me luck.

Guys,

Have you done anything on it... as the same happened with me as well. My payment is thru some other bank ECS and even then my usual EMI has not been deducted ... i guess because of the overflow fund in my home loan account.

HI, It happened to me as well, My Jan Month EMI is not being adjusted till now. And very recently i paid around 8.5 lakhs as partpayment, still it is not being adjusted. I have complained to axis bank support team, nodal officer, banking ombudsman . Still it is not being resolved. Any suggestions.

My Friend!

I'm in the same boat. Their loan processing system is very weird. If you make the part payment up to 10 days before the EMI deduction date, AND your EMI is deducted from AXIS bank SB account, you will have the problem. Strangely, if you make the part payment AFTER the EMI deduction date, OR if your payment is through post dated checks OR through ECS of another bank, you won't see the problem.

I talked to several of their employees, managers before acquiring this gyan.

I am planning to lodge a formal complaint and send it to banking ombudsman.

Axis Bank mismanagement of demat account

I had Demat account with Fort Branch of Axis bank since 15th January, 2004. I had given request to transfer my Demat account from Fort Branch to Napean Sea Road Branch sometime in December, 2007, to have it linked with my Savings Account with same bank to see my holdings online thru I connect.

I have sent my person to submit this request for Transfer of Demat account at Fort Branch. However, the application was not accepted and same was returned sighting reason that the Owner of the account has to be personally present to pay amount if any, outstanding in his account before transfer.

On my personal visit to Fort Branch along with my colleague, I was informed that nothing is outstanding to be paid on account of Demat charges and Demat account will be transferred to Napean Sea Road Branch in due course.

Demat Account was then transferred to Napean Sea Road Branch on 18-Dec-07. On the same day there was a Suo-moto charge of Rs.174.71 to my savings bank account with Napean Sea Road branch without any intimation to me. This I observed when I have taken mini statement from ATM center, sometime in first week of January.

I have inquired about the same with Napean Sea Road Branch of Axis Bank on phone where I was first told that these are the charges for some transaction by me. Around same time I also observed remark on my Demat Statement on Status of my Demat account as "Suspended for Debit". I was amazed at the reply by Napean Sea Road Branch reply, as neither I have done any transactions since very long nor I could do any transaction when market crashed as my Demat account was “Suspended for Debit”, needless to say, leading to huge losses to me.

Meantime, I have received my statement of Demat showing my Holdings & Transactions for the Q III i.e. for the period 01-Oct-07 to 31-Dec-07 with a remark of “Suspended for Debit”, confirming the Suspension. I have also requested for the details of the amount of Rs.174.71 which till now it is not made available to me. Most shocking part here is that I have not given instruction for Direct Debit to my Savings account.

Meantime, I was in regular in my follow up with Ms. Priyanka of Napean Sea Road Branch for answer to my questions and she has tried to help me to sort out the problem and was kind enough to arrange to fax me a statement on 23-Jan-08 showing details of charges in my account since 15-Jan-04 which was showing weird figures. An amount of Rs.775.26 paid by me on 07-July-06 at the Fort Branch was not accounted at all which subsequently was accounted on 23-Jan-08, delay of almost one and half years. Further, there is one more amount of Rs.112.13 paid by me on 03-Dec-04 which is still not accounted by them. I have already furnished the acknowledgment for receipt of this payment but they have asked me to show my bank statement where this amount is debited. They have also told me that this acknowledgment was subject to clearance of cheque which is not mentioned anywhere on the acknowledgment stamp

On inquiring personally, why my Demat account was Suspended for Debit, I was given irresponsible replies like, there are some charges pending for Demat. What do some amount outstanding means? On further query at Napean Sea Road Branch regarding What was the exact amount outstanding & why my account was not debited for the entire amount on 18-dec-07 itself? I was replied that there might be insufficient balance in my savings account. Yet another irresponsible reply as on checking the status of my Savings account on 18-Dec-07, I had clear balance of Rs.31, 866.30. This confirms that nobody really knew what was happening and bank staff was literally playing with my Demat and Savings account as amount debited to my savings account was without any Direct Debit instruction from me. How can representatives of the branch give such an irresponsible answer without checking the authenticity of their answer? I have tried to explain the situation to Branch Manager of Napean Sea Road Branch, who was rude in reply, stating that He was aware of what has happened and knew why my account was debited. However, none of his written reply stands with his statement. as you will observe in the analysis of the annexure of the charges.

I was left with no choice but to write a written complain addressed to Branch Manager of Napean Sea Road Branch seeking clarification. I have also added a Post Script to the same letter, allowing your bank to debit my account for charges still outstanding on my account, if any, with the note to resolve the differences later as they were showing still some more amounts outstanding. However, nobody knew the exact quantum of the amount. This authorization for Direct Debit is limited to this transaction only.

However, despite my instructions, my Demat account remained under suspension till 06-Feb-08 and suspension was released on after further debit of Rs.382.61 on 05-Feb-08 to my savings account. Meantime, I have received call from Ms. Madhavi from Fort Branch to sort out the issue and she wanted to have clarifications regarding my letter to Branch Manager of Napean Sea Road Branch which was in turn forwarded to Fort Branch.

I had been to Fort Branch once again. They have checked their records and were unable to find out break up of the amount of Rs.174.71 which was debited to my account on 18-Dec-07. They have accepted that something wrong has definitely being happened and nobody had the clue what they have done.

Now let me draw your kind attention to the second reply received from Branch Manager of Napean Sea Road Branch along with Depository Statement and the Statement showing Details of amount received by Axis Bank against Bill book by Axis Bank dt. March 01, 08. Its careful scrutiny leads to a conclusion that the statements are manufactured and misleading, giving wrong information and are away from the facts of actual transactions and charges for the same. The two clarifications given in the second reply also shows irresponsibility in conduct as evident from first reply as I was never informed by bank that my account was transferred in frozen state and action from second reply as why they need two installments to recover such a small amount? What was the rationale behind this? We analyze both the statements annexed to second reply one by one below.

This reply negates the first reply by the Branch Manager of Napean Sea Road Branch himself in which he has stated that Fort Branch will reply.

Depository Billing Statement

First of all, the Particulars of charges do not have any dates corresponding to charge in the statement which raises obvious doubts. Secondly, the amount of Service Tax does not match with Service Charges in the statement. There are at least five instances of Service Tax being charged in the statement without corresponding Service Charge. There are at least six instances of amount charged without any incidence of Service Charges.

Thirdly, there is note no.5 which states that “Your bill will be debited to your bank account with AXIS Bank Ltd, subject to availability of funds.” How would bank debit my account directly without my authorization? Fourth point is note no.7 to the Billing Statement, which states that “Service Tax is recovered @ 12.36% of the bill amount inclusive of Education Cess.” What is the significance of this note on Depository Billing Statement for the period 01-March-04 to 31-March-07? The rates were different at different period of time.

Fifth and most important point is that, if you compare two statements received from same branch, they do not match internally as to their individual transaction. In my opinion, this statement is prepared to misguide user of the statement. It is fraudulent in its letter and spirit.

Details of Payment Received.

An amount of Rs.775.26 paid by me on 07-July-06 at the Fort Branch was not accounted at all which subsequently was accounted on 23-Jan-08, delay of almost one and half years. Further, there is one more amount of Rs.112.13 paid by me on 03-Dec-04 is still not accounted by them.

Queries

1. Why my Demat account was “Suspended for Debit”?
2. How can I do any transaction when my account was suspended for debit from 01-Oct-07 to 31-Dec-07?
3. Why there was Debit of Rs. 174.71 in my Savings account? What was the Charge for? What do some charges outstanding mean as I was initially replied by representative of Napean Sea Road Branch in response to my query?
4. If there was some amount outstanding in my account, how my account was transferred from Fort Branch to Napean Sea Road Branch without recovery?
5. If your Napean Sea Road branch have debited amount of Rs.174.71, why my account was suspended for debit after that debit and not released for transactions? Why there was further debit of Rs.382.61? What was the rationale for debiting Rs.174.71 & Rs.382.61 separately at the time gap of almost one and half months and not the full amount on 18-Dec-07? What was the exact amount outstanding on 18-Dec-07 & on 05-Feb-08? Why my account was not debited with the full amount outstanding on 18-Dec-07 itself?
6. How can Napean Sea Road branch debit my savings account without my authorization to the bank to do Direct Debit and without any intimation to me? How is your bank authorized to do such acts Suo-moto?
7. Why can’t bank find it out from their records any facts which they are asking from customer first instead of harassing customer to bring the records for some past years?
8. Though the acknowledgment was subjected to clearance of cheque, can’t they find out from their records whether cheque was honored or not? If not honored, whether the same was communicated to the account holder? Whether the charges were subsequently recovered? If recovered, how were they recovered, if not, why my account was not suspended then? How come there is no entry for either transaction in the statement?
9. Why your branch has waited till 05-Feb-08 for debiting the balance charge when I have authorized your branch to debit the necessary charge for this transaction only in post script of my letter DT. 24-Jan-08?
10. How your bank/branch will indemnify the losses which I have incurred due to suspension of my Demat account? What would be the compensation for the frustration and agony I have suffered?
11. What are the security measures available to customer like me against such malpractices by bank?

I find that my Demat as well as Savings account with NApean Sea Road Branch of Axis Bank, Mumbai are really mis-handled leading to confusion and chaos at your end and frustration and agony at my end. There is glaring lack of clarity as to the purpose and the quantum of the charges debited to my account. The statements provided in support of your actions are far away from the truth. They are manufactured with dubious intent to cover up your mistake and to save face from disgrace to your branch as well as your bank.

For the bank like that of yours, who claims for highest standard of Customer Service, such claims are needs to be revisited in light of such instances.

Also, this compels us to think and think hard on the security point of view of the customer as such things can happen in future with any customer with magnitude of problem may be higher and larger and could be more complex. There has to be some recourse available to Customer Directly and they should not be made to run around and present proofs to substantiate their clear position. Onus of proving the actions and charges debited to the customer should be first on the bank and then on the customer.

I expect that fair judgment be made by looking at several aspects of the case in the light of facts furnished by me and deal with my claims and suggestions suitably.

Today even after five days the funds have not been credited to my account and upoun enquiry, the branch manager is exceedingly rude and off hand. on 3rd march i made a transaction of 10, 000 from an atm machine located in clock tower(ghantaghar), dehradun. During the transaction some problem occurs and the money doesnt came out but one note of rs. 500 was half in and half out . i just made a call in axis bank, they told me tht they are coming in half n hour. i and the security guard of the machine wait there for half n hour then some Mr. Anand who was the concerned person of the bank came, went inside and put down the shutter. i dont know what anand was doing inside.
After few minutes Anand came out and told me that my money would be transfered to my account. after that i went to axis bank located in Rajpur road, there i met Miss Rachna Bautiyal and Mr. Amit Gupta, they also told me that my money would be transfered to my account as i am having my account in corporation bank with acc. no. 1923 in greater noida branch. After one n half month i once again went to dehradun axis bank to ask tht why money is not transfered yet then they told me that my transaction was successful and now they cant do anything as i have that security guard as a witness that i havent received not even a single money but one thing more that Mr. Anand told Miss Rachna that yes an amount of 10, 000 was there inside the window of machine but when he mixed that money with rest amount in machine then their balance was tallied as Miss Rachna had a talk with that guard and the guard told her that yes, this thing happ that day.
this was the fraud which axis bank have done with me. now i m going to lodge fir against axis bank rajpur road branch, dehradun and going to lodge a case in consumer court.

Question which i wanna ask..
1. if transaction was successful then what about that 500 rs. note which was lying half inside and half outside of the machine?
2. if Mr. Anand received 10, 000 rs. inside the window of the machine then it means that some transaction happened there and when the transaction was successful then it means that money was mine beacuse money never comes up to the window until a transaction is done.

plz solve my problem...

Dear Sir/Mam,
I'm salary account [protected]) holder with Anna Salai axis bank Chennai. 10000/- fund has been transferred from my account to some other axis bank cust (D. Balasubhramanyam) or Axis Bank employee account, I don't knw who is he? this transaction is tranferred from my account on 02.01.09 . I'm afraid from Axis bank. I've raised a complain with Axis bank Anna Salai Chennai (Miss. Anita), Axis Bank Dehradun(Uttranchal), Axis Bank Roorkee(Uttranchal)and filluped a fund reverse form and submitted to Anna Salai Chennai and Dehradun Branch and I've raised a 420 case in Roorkee Police Station.
48 days has passed but Account status is nothing. I've called many times to Anna Salai Chennai Branch on 044-[protected]. but result is nothing.
So Now last time I'm requested to u please do something and reverse my fund asap.
If u r not able to do this in asap so provide me escalation no.
NOTE: Hacker D. Balasubhramanyam had trasferred the fund from my account. but I had sealed his account with the help of axis bank and confirmed He didnt withdrawl the money. My 10000/- is in his account yet.

I'm waiting for ur positive response.

Hi Manish Pandya Saab.

First of all behalf of entire readers I would lik to thank you to publish this as a warning to everybody.

If bank still not ready to give you a satisfactory reply, please just approach Banking Ombudsman with full details which is free of cost. Before doing this, just send a letter to concerned Bank Manager informing him that you are moving to BANKING OMBUDSMAN within a specified time (2 weeks or so..) unless he provide a reasonable reply to your query.

I had a different issue with AXIS BANK and IOB regarding an issue of reversal of ATM withdrawn money. Cash did not dispenced, account was debited. IOB whose ATM was used to withdraw the money, was not ready to give the money back to AXIS BANK where my account with. After a long email fight threatening that I will approach BANKING OMBUDSMAN within two weeks...then...money credited with my account after 3 months.

Remember Banking Ombudsman will not charge you anything...

Axis Bank marking of lean account

With reference to the above Credit Card # I would like to inform you that there was a settlement done by AXIS BANK for 77, 500/- INR (Seventy Seven Thousand and Five Hundred Only) for which Axis Bank has given me the settlement letter also. Once the settlement amount was cleared I was under the impression that this account would have been closed by the bank. But to my dismay you have not closed this account and also made my savings account as a lean account yesterday 12th August 2008 bringing my account to a negative balance account. My cheque which was presented yesterday got bounced due to insufficient funds even though I had enough funds in my account. I went to the branch today morning and have submitted a copy of the settlement letter and receipt from AXIS Bank for the amount also.

I understand from my local branch here that it was the responsibility of the bank to close my account as soon as they got the settlement cheque from me cleared. But it was not done and kept open till date and then without any information making my savings account as lean account. I would like AXIS BANK to change the status of savings bank account ASAP and also to reverse all the cheque bounces which has happened due to the negligence of the concerned bank personnel.

Axis Bank clearance of cheque

I am santhosh kamath from bangalore having sb account in axis bank. this is the complaint regarding clearance of cheque. I dropped one cheque at axis bank atm located in jp nagar bangalore (address: 574, 14th cross, 24th main, 1st phase, j. p. nagar, bangalore 560 078 bangalore) on 5.08.2008 at 21:30hrs. being a local cheque it has not cleared even after 7 working days. when contacted the clearance department on 12.08.2008, I got the answer that they haven't received the cheque from atm. I disappointed with the way of functioning. there is no responsibility to collect the cheque from atm.

my cheque not cleared today is 22/08/2014
I disappointed with the way of functioning. There is no responsibility to collect the cheque from ATM.

I am Vabesh kumar from Darbhanga Bihar having Account No - [protected] in Central Bank

of India Khakhoda. This is the complaint regarding Clearance of Cheque. I have

dropped one cheque at Cental Bank of India located in Khakhoda, Darbhanga, Bihar-

847407 on last MOnth. Being a local cheque it has not cleared even after 7 working

days. When contacted the Khakhoda branch on 4 July 2014, I got the answer that head

brach office(Darbhanga) is not cleared your cheque. My amount is 100000/-. So please

you should verify why it is not yet cleared my cheque.

I, Serajuddoullah Shaikh, have S.B. Account vide Number [protected] ( Salary Account). I have dropped cheque No. 157964 of SBI, Main Branch, Kolkata of my salary in drop box in ATM of Axis Bank, Dalhousie Branch, Kolkata on 27.04.2012 but till date i.e.07.05.2012 the cheque has not been cleared or the amount has not been credited to my Account. I contacted the Manager of Axis Bank, Central Avenue, Kolkata where i have opened the aforesaid Account but he expressed his helplessness and sermoned me not to drop any cheque in drop box but to tender the cheque in the branch office during working hours henceforth. This is not possible for me. I have no option but to close my Acco

Dear Sir,

I Am a saving A/C holder in your bank having a/c no [protected] .I attempt a withdrawal of Rs. 6000/ on date 08.03.2010 at 11:02 at hdfc ATM baddi ( Main Branch) But I do not receive any amount on this transaction .Rs.6000/ was debited immediately & not recovered till date in my account

You are requested to please look in to the matter & take suitable action immediately .I shall be thankful to you.

Axis Bank reg. statement & direct debit from acct.

I have not received the card statement from last 3 months, i have already apply for e-statement one month ago in Customer Care also. Bank's Customer Care Service is worst!

I suggested to customer care about cancellation of Bajaj Allainze mediclaim policy but my premium gets debited from my salary account directly.This is the way of tie up procedure of Axis bank with Bajaj, its so reduculus.
Then now last but not least my credit card (purchsing amt) directly debited from my account without intimating me. Only massage gets pass on me about amt gets debited from acct.How is this possible ?

I have not received the card statement from last 3 months, i have already apply for e-statement one month ago in Customer Care also. Bank's Customer Care Service is worst!

I suggested to customer care about cancellation of Bajaj Allainze mediclaim policy but my premium gets debited from my salory account directly.This is the way of tie up procedure of Axis bank with Bajaj, its so reduculus.
Then now last but not least my credit card purchsing amt directly debited from my account without intimating me. Only massage gets pass on me about amt gets debited from acct.How is this possible ?

At the end I come to conclusion that I have to go in Consumer Court regarding this irresponsible things of debiting amt.I worn to your organisation if this time problem is not solved thats my next move. So pls control your all procedures reg customer

Axis Bank reg.net banking

Dear Sir / Madam,

I hold a credit card with axis bank numbered [protected]. I have not received my bill for last month. So, last week i approached the nearest Axis Bank branch and Axis customer care to activate my net banking and send my latest bill to my mail id [protected]@gmail.com. Axis Bank cheating on initial charges

hi,
I had applied for axis bank credit card due to frequent calls from their marketing executives and they promised me that this is a life time free card and no initial charges will be incurred on this. As per this I applied and got the card, on the first month itself, I had made a transaction of Rs.300/-. When the statement for the month came it is showing and additional Rs.500 as initial charge. I had made the payment of what i have taken. Now, they are frequently calling me to make the remaining payment. I'm not planning to make that payment as it is cheating from their side. I would like to cancel this card but I don't know the procedure to cancel this. No cancellation procedure is specified in their website as well.

yes its 100% for sure the helpline is worse, no body is sitting ther having full knowledge of products & policies. hold the line for long & each time you log the call your money will jump fromyour wallet for sure.
0% response from Axis bank side. the attitude is like

I am suresh from chennai, I have a Axis bank credit card for the last 10 months. now i had a big trouble in your side. The problem was at the second month of the bill they put BAJAJ Alliance insurance amt was added without my knowledge then i asked to customer care they said "No problem sir u dont pay the insurance amount". But still it was not cleared every month they add DEBIT INTERST and LATE PAYMENT FEE for my account. I tryed several times to customer care but no RESPONSE.

So i get a conclusion i send my card to your bank

Axis Bank loan foreclosure!

Dear Sir, I am a customer of AXIS bank (Loan A/c No. [protected] and have availed a loan of approx. Rs.1, 00, 000 from the bank in Sep'07. Later on, I wish to foreclose my account with the Bank and wish my loan to be taken over by HDFC for which I have deposited a balance amount cheque with your bank. However, in spite of submitting an application on 11.03.2008 and writing today i.e. 19.03.2008, the Bank is not able to close down the account and on inquiry, the reply is that it may be closed day after, or may be next week.

Axis Bank rejected loan

I applied for a personal loan in Axis bank. A lady named Indu who spoke to me told me about the documents required for the loan.

I submitted all the documents, even the verification process went through fine. She told me that I have all the necessary documents so I would definitely get a loan.

Recently I recieved a letter from Axis bank stating that my loan request is rejected. There was no reason mentioned in the letter. When I tried to call the lady, she told that everyone are busy as it is the year end.

I have a feeling that they have rejected the loan without any solid reason.

Axis Bank mis-selling of a credit card!

I would like to share my greivences with everyone who has got a credit-card from any of the banks. I would like to give a brief description of my problem with a pathetic bank i.e. "Axis Bank". First of all, I have never applied for any credit-card from Axis bank & suddenly I received an SMS on my mobile number as a confirmation that my credit-card application has been approved and I will receive my card within few days. I tried to ring that number immediately but I could not get through.

After few days, I received a call from a courier company who wanted to confirm my residence address to deliver a packet from axis bank. I confirmed the address and could not ask anything from them regarding the same as I was in my office & was busy in doing some official work.

I opened that packet in the evening and found two cards from axis bank. One of the cards was under my name and other one was under my younger brother's name. I was little bit surprised to receive these two cards from axis bank as I had never applied for any credit card from them. I contacted them to get the proper confirmation and they told me that they did receive my application form and that's why these cards were sent to me. I also told them that nobody has done any sort of verification before the approval of my card application.

I took it lightly and thought that there is no harm to have a credit card from axis bank as I was already using so many cards from various banks. However, the first problem got start when I did not receive my card statement for the first three months. I contacted the customer service of axis bank once again to know the total outstanding and the reason for the non-delivery of my card statement.

I got amazed to know that I have been charged somewhere about Rs.3500 as a joining fee to have this card from axis bank. I explained the whole story to the customer service executive that I have been mis-led by axis bank as I was never told that there is a joining fee to have a credit-card from axis bank as no other bank charges anything for their credit card.

I have raised this complaint so many times and spent a lot of money on the phone calls made to the customer service of axis bank because they have their customer service center in Mumbai. Everytime, I was given an assurance of an amended card statement but got nowhere. Now, I am receiving threatening letters from an advocate of axis bank to pay the outstanding immediately which is ridiculous. I was quite sure that axis bank can do such kind of appalling things since their past have been too good to have faith on them. But, I want to warn them that the time has been changed and everyone is aware about the laws & orders. I am going to file a case against them in "Consumer Forum" and will realize them about their serious mistake. Thanks & regards.

I have an emergency situation where i need to get $1000 fast for my car to
be repaired. I need the money fast but I still want to not get screwed over.
My friend suggested an online site that he used before called
www.instantbailout.com I looked it over and it looks ok, but I am not sure
what is a reasonable rate for a payday loan. Is there a standard for this
type of loan? Also does a payday loan effect your credit?

my name is mahendiran i had applied for an credit card, intially they were telling to me Gold PLus, ie pay card and i accepted that too. but when the time last enquiry i informed your staff Ms.Anitha, Chennai( CC Division)that i dont need a pay card please change that into Life time free card ie Gold card but i had received a Gold plus card i would like change into gold card or you can very well cancel my card.

I am having a AXIS bank card no [protected]. I never applied for this card nor did I signed any application form. A person from Axis bank called me and said you will be getting a axis bank card which is free for lifetime card.

When I received this card there was a catalog that u there is some annual fees on this card. At that time I got a call from Mumbai confirming whether u have received the card, I confirmed from that girl regarding annual fees and she said no you do not have to pay any fees.

Then I got the statement in which there they have put charges on which they have put late payment fees also.
I have already paid for the amount I have used.

I have spoken twice to phone banking people. Once on 22nd june and asked to close the card, which has still not been done which I confirmed today.
Also the person I spoke today cut the phone without me completing the things.

Now the worse have happened they have put a lein on my salary account for Rs 9500 which is disgusting

Axis Bank joining fee & annual charges

I had applied for a credit card from Axis Bank. The card was issued to me with the assurance that no joining fee and/or annual charges will be charged from me.
I made a transaction of approx. Rs. Three hundred( Rs. 300/-). But when I recieved my first statement I was surprised to discover that a sum of Rs. One thousand and Five hundred (Rs. 1500/-) was charged from me as the annual charges and joining fee. In spite of frequent telephonic complaints, the same was not waived off. Instead, late payment charges and interest has been applied. Now, my statement reflects an amount of Rs.two thousand four hundred sixty four and fifty six paise( Rs. 2464.56).
I request the concerned authorities to kindly take immidiate and proper steps to look into the matter.

i have been persuaded to take a gold plus card with add on against my fixed deposit.as told that it will cost u absloutely free.initially i hesitated to purchase against the card as i have heard al sorts of problem and hidden charges.card bought in sept with auto debit facility.
In the month of Jan 10 i made my first purchase.i got my first bill in due time but no deduction made.repeated queries from help line did not yield any response.accept that we will check and let u know.Than i approached local branch and they say u pay the amount under protest and we will refund u the penality.again i have received the next moths bill with still the amount shown as due.
If i have auto debit facility than why deduction not made .given the human error same could have been corrected.
so i wish to surrender the card and advise others also.

Axis bank credit cards representatives comes to me and told that axis bank credit cards are life time free, No joining free(gold cards).But i recieved gold plus card, ( actually no made any transaction) but when i recieved frist statement i was surprised because amount is 1500+taxs (annual charges and joing fee) in spite of freqent telephone compliants anybody can"t responding this time also, late payment charges and interest has been applied, my statement reflect amonnt of Rs 2247.2(due date 10-05-08)so kindly change my card or kindly take proper steps BIJU.P CREDIT CARD NO :[protected] VALID THRU:1/11

Axis bank credit cards repesentatives comes to our company and told us that axis bank credit cards are
life time free cards and no charges on any petrol pump and balance transfer for six months at no charges but when I recieved the credit card and surprised after reading term and conditions that no any was matching as the representative of Axis bank had said at the time of form filling.On contacting customer care answer was that your card has joining fee of 400.00 and 2.5% sercharge on petrol. There is no transparerancy while making credit cards that repsentative says something banks replies different.So I request Bank authorities not to cheat customers by lyeing by their representatives.
