What is the point in having coupons when none of them work? I'm so tired of you sending emails about school sales and coupons when none of the coupons actually work because everything you have is a doorbuster. Just stop with the coupons. Stop tricking people into going into the store thinking they are going to actually be able to use one. Makes me want to not ever shop at Belk again!

My son worked there over a year. One of the managers, Carey Henson Roberts breeched confidentially and gave out my sons number to a family member that asked for it. Carey use to live next to my mother and I do not communicate with my mother. Once my son changed his number related to family harassment, she gave out the new number to my mother. It doesn't matter that Carey knows my mother or use to be neighbors. It is NOT her business to pass out contact info.

This just happened to my stepdaughter yesterday as he said she stole a $14 ring. She was going to purchase the ring and was carrying it around as she shopped for other items and while in the children's dept she dropped the ring box which is small and it fell out and she couldn't find it so she said she didmt need it that bad, finished shopping, checked out and was leaving when the Security Officer approached her and accused her of stealing the ring. She explained she DID NOT STEAL THE RING IT FELL AND COULDN'T FIND IT. She only had her wallet and keys, no purse, and the bag of items she purchased. She then told the security officer well she would go back over there with him and see if she could find the ring, but she didn't steal anything and had no reason too, so she looked all under the clothes racks and finally found it by one of the wheels of the rack and got and gave it to him. He then told her, YOU JUST TOOK THAT OFF OF YOUR FINGER AND PUT IT THERE. SHE SAID NO I DIDN'T, I REACHED WITH MY RIGHT HAND AS I DONT HAVE ANY RING EXCEPT MY WEDDING RINGS ON MY LEFT HAND BECAUSE MY STUFF IS IN MY OTHER HAND. So he took her to the back where he called the police and had her arrested and they walked thru the entire mall with her handcuffed and humiliated, embarrassed, and falsely accused of stealing. Her father went and bailed her out on $6900 fine for $690 for a $14 ring he said she stole she didn't and has NEVER EVER BEEN IN TROUBLE. Well while her father and husband were waiting for her to be released from jail, a man came in wanting to take a warrant out or arrest someone else from Belks NOT Knowing who they were bragging he has had 23 people arrested this month alone so far from Belks. The Police Dept even said they have had ALOT OF ARREST LATELY FROM THERE! I WANT THIS INVESTIGATED AND THE MAN REPRIMANDED OR TERMINATED AS WE ARE ALREADY TRYING TO GET THESE CHARGES TOTALLY REMOVED AND HAVE CONTACTED HEADQUARTERS! DO NOT SHOP THERE OR YOU MAY BE THE NEXT VICTIM OF FALSIFYING THEFT WITH NO JUSTIFICATION! HOW CRUEL, OR MAYBE HE IS GETTING A KICKBACK FOR THE FALSE ACCUSATIONS RUINING PEOPLES LIVES!

I cannot express the hassle I had today. A couple days ago I went to belk and found the perfect free people dress for my one year anniversary today. When I pulled the dress out this morning to iron the sensor was still on my dress! I cannot even tell you what a pain it was to drive 30 min there and back to have it removed when the store opened at 11. Not only did it interfere with our plans this morning when I got to the store a manager would not even come out to discuss the matter with me. Why have sensors if they don't work? I work in the customer service industry and to not even be heard made it worse. I would have been kind to the manager just wanted to share what happened. Anyway Mattie the sales associate was very helpful and listened and automatically took it off. When I got in the car I called corporate as I was now even more upset that I had to drive to the store, remove the sensor and now a manger would not talk with me. I got someone who said all the supervisors are busy and for me to go online. Where is the accountability and human service we are missing. It's a shame as I thought this could be something quick to recover from. Instead I'm still annoyed, didn't get to do our morning plans. But thanks to Mattie I guess I get to wear my dress tonight. I'm extremely frustrated and just want to express my thoughts on how people should realize during checkout the purpose of and inconvenience this was! Thank you
shirt was wrong size
I ordered 2 exact shirts. One was purple one was blue. After I had worn the purple one I realized it was much bigger than the blue one. I compared the 2. The purple one was 1-1 1/2 inches bigger than the blue one. The are both labeled the same size. But since I have worn the purple one I am stuck with it even though its not my fault that it is the wrong size. I never ordered here before and will never again. First I found the site and it said to apply for credit and you get so much off of your order. Well, I did that and proceeded to check out and it did not give me a discount, so I called. Speaking to a customer service woman said they have had these complaints before and there is no way to fix it, I then told her maybe they should not advertise that and get it off of their site, it seemed like a scam to me. So I ordered anyway and received my quilt with marks all over what looks to be a greasy look. I called because I did not feel I should be paying to return it. After 15 minutes on the phone with a rep he told me I would get a return label quickly and be able to return it for credit. Well I did not and called again, now I am told a supervisor will call me within a day to discuss this, well that didn't happen. I am trying to just return something and not applying for a government job here. I received my credit card, will return it, and never ever shop at this store again.

I purchased Youth Dew in December 2018 when the Christmas sale was going on. I purchased a body lotion, a cologne in the light blue bottle and a dusting bath body powder. I've used Youth Dew for many, many years and always receive compliments when I wear it. However, I just opened the bath body powder this month. I immediately thought it did not "smell" right or what I'm use to. I took this item back to Belk where I purchased it. Employee behind counter said her allergies were acting up and so she ask another employee and she said it smelled different compared to a new one behind the counter unopened. No offer of exchange was made to me at all. I'm disappointed with this Customer Service. I have a box of "expensive body powder" that I cannot wear. I went into my local belks store and purchased make up that was marked down. I still have my receipt. The assoc #000531. She was very rude to me and treated me like I was very stupid. I had picked up some the store samples that were blacked out. I didn't realize it. It was all together with the actual product for sale.
She should have had the helping attitude instead of treating me as her being better than me. If she is working the make up counter, you might would be out sales just because of her attitude towards others. It has still bothered me.

I was at your Waco location at around 2:00pm and had to put back 2 short sets 4 bras and a pair of shoes because I couldn't wait in line anymore it was so hot I had sweat literally rolling down my face and there was only 1 cashier working bless her heart and she had a good attitude. I can't say that for 4 or 5 I seen in the back and walked passed and never got so much as a hello.
wedding registry items sent to me
Every single item that has been sent to me off of my wedding registry has showed up at my house broken. Every single one of them! So I have to take the time to take it back up to our nearest belk and switch it out or have them order me one and send it again. This is totally unacceptable and it's a huge inconvenience for me. I understand things happen, but this has happened 5 times! Another item just showed up to me on friday, broken.

Recently there have been payments posted to my Belk credit card that I saw when I checked my account. The payments were made by phone which I never do, I use the app and pay online. There were 4 payments that were declined because apparently the account was not active. I called Belk twice about these payments to explain that I was not the person making those payments. Why someone would want to pay off my balance I have no idea. If that is some kind of scam, I don't get it. However, the Belk representatives were RUDE and told me I had to contact my bank to PROVE THE PAYMENTS DID NOT COME FROM MY BANK. How do you prove payments you did not make? I don't know the account number that was used for these payments and Belk would not tell me. Rather than reaching out to their "valued customer" to get confirmation that I was trying to make these payments BELK CLOSED MY ACCOUNT! For all I know someone is trying to steal my identity of use my account information in some unlawful way. The point is, rather than protecting their customer, they treated me like a criminal and closed my account. I was told I had to write a letter PROVING those attempted payments did not come from me then Belk would decide in approximately 3 billing cycles if they would open my account again. OR I could apply for another account but I would be declined due to this current issue. I asked if they could give me a new card and transfer the balance and was told no. So much for PROTECTING YOUR CUSTOMERS. So much for customer service! so I WIL NEVER SHOP AT BELK AGAIN.

I was shopping tonight at Belks in Decatur AL. I had a buggy because I had a ton of shopping bags. My ex boyfriends girlfriend is a shift manager there and when she saw me she has me followed thru the store. As I left the store walking out in the mall 2 girls came screaming at me said they were Belk security & I had stolen a shirt. I said NO I have not you can check my bags. The girl dumped all my bags & saw I had NOT taken anything from their store because i am NOT a thief. The girl said i saw you on camera with Polk a dotted shirt. I said why would I steal from your store when I jus dropped 500 at the store before n I have money no need to steal. I was so embarrassed. We watched a Belk commercial last night (12/15/2028) showing a Amazon Echo for 19.99. and Google was 29.99. Children's toys on sale as well. We made a trip all the way out today to purchase some Amazon Echoes (12/16/2018). The Google was priced what was advertised but the Amazon Echo was not. So know one could explain why so we just left. When the employee introduced the BELK MasterCard to me- my question to her was"will I still be able to pay the one-third payment ". She agreed. I applied for one. Closing out my old BELK elite creditcard, like a responsible person, so there would be no fraudulent charges, EVER SINCE I OPENED THIS MASTERCARD I HAVE BEEN CHARGED INTEREST, the corporate office has been kind enough to take them off- BUT I ALSO FOUND that I can't pay the one third payment as I did before. Wanting to open my old card I have been told I can't bc it's closed. And that If I opened a new BELK credit card it would be a MasterCard... in other words facing out the original BELK credit card practices. I'm very disappointed in this. Belk is the worst company to work for. Over worked, never get a raise you deserve I've been there over 2 years and I'm still making the same pay as when I started. They always cut hours but constantly hiring people, lack of communication and to top it off has no compassion for employees and there families. We suffered a major hurricane and all they cared about was when I can show up for work. This time they will not give me time off to see my grandmother for Christmas and she does have much longer to live but ofcorse they are blackout days thus nothing can be done. I'm so sick of people getting time off and I only ask once and I'm dined. If you have no family this job is for you because you won't be able to see them.

I love Belk's so much that I became a seasonal employee in the Savannah Ga location. I went to the Brahmin Counter to purchase a handbag and the associate whose name is Ester was very rude to me. When I gave her my associate number to receive my discount and I inquired about an additional discount for using my Belks card she was condensing. She stated o you must be new, I don't have any additional discounts, I'm a manager and if you want me call another manager I will. She became loud enough to the point that I told her to calm down. After this seasonal job is over I will be just a regular customer again and I will never buy an expensive handbag as long as Esther is there! Belks need to do a better job of training there managers to be good customer service represenatives!

On this day there was a Sale going on between 6 am to 10 am. I was at the shoe department. I ordered a couple of shoes of my size from a lady and they did not fit well. So I had to look again for another set of shoes and another lady helped me get the shoes from the back. Everybody was busy and that's understandable. On my third strike, both women who helped me were both busy. I saw KEVIN, one of their shoe rep, I had a couple of shoe I wanted to try on. So I tried to get his attention. Kevin was very stern and cold. He looked pissed when I called on him. I asked him respectfully if he can get a couple of shoes at the back size 9. Then he said, " who was helping you?" I pointed to the women who were busy helping other buyers. Then he said, " You need to stay with whoever is helping you." In short, he refused to help me. I was dumb founded. He could see that both the women were busy with other customers. Is there such a policy at Belk's that you have to stick to whoever first helped the customer? Is it because of my race? I am Asian. He had no problem helping other customers. I felt unvalued, unappreciated and ignored as a customer. Because of this I left the shoe department no buying anything. I suggest that you re-train your customer service representatives. They need to provide attention and care for customers coz if they are NOT...they might as well QUIT and give another person that job who can provide that good customer service...just a suggestion. If Belks have another "KEVIN" at this store then Belks might be another SEARS in the near future, just saying. I love shopping at your store but if this is the KIND of service I get, I might as well shop at another store and close my Belks Card. Please let Mr. KEVIN know that customers are the reason why he has that JOB! Thank you for taking your time to read my complaint, I have never been treated like this.

My wife ordered black boots on line for our granddaughter's birthday. We were sent black/cognac boots. I ordered the boots so that she could have them for her birthday which was on friday oct 19th. I received the wrong ones on thursday the 18th. I then called and spoke with someone who told me they would ship out another pair that was black. Unfortunately I received the same pair of boots again. I called for the 3rd time and was told they didn't have that color even though my order confirmation said they did. The supervisor I spoke with said her name was asha and that there was not anyone else I could speak with. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to return the boots and I would not get a refund until they received the boots. My problem is she didn't offer any type compensation for my troubles. Not to mention my granddaughter still has no boots. As much money as we've spent with belk it would have been good customer service to offer something. I guess they feel as though my business doesn't matter. Good customer service is everything and sometimes that means going beyond to make customers happy. Not a happy customer
