Hello. On September 20th I have made a reservation request for the Studio atypique canal in Paris. The exact address put on booking.com is 9 Rue Pierre Dupont, 10th arr., Paris, 75010, France. In order to make the reservation and pay for it, I contacted the property owner via Telegram as @lisapartments98, as the booking description said to do so. Lisa accepted my request and sent me a reservation payment link via Booking.com. The total sum was 275 euros which was charged from me to bunq BV from my Revolut credit card. I paid, the money was completely charged from my card. However I did not receive any confirmation letter or a PIN code neither from Lisa or Booking.com. I tried getting help from booking customer service but they wouldn’t help me unless I gave them a confirmation number which I never got in the first place. So it was all a circle. Later I contacted Lisa, at first she said that it may be a network issue, later she stopped responding and today she has completely deleted all her messages in our chat. So, my money is charged and gone, went to waste. I didn’t receive the services that I paid for. I demand a refund and would like to report this private property owner under the name of Lisa and her Paris property Studio atypique canal as a scam. I can also give you the payment transaction document as well as the screenshots of our conversation with @lisapartments98 via Telegram if required. Once again, I demand a refund.
I have attached screenshots of our now deleted conversation with the merchant Lisa as well as the transaction document.
Thank you.
Desired outcome: Please refund
I just dodged a booking in Venice from the same person. Luckily I noticed a few red flags that got me suspicious enough to not proceed. The exact strategy and wording was used.
I'm currently attempting to book with @sandraNelson1, it is 99% the same person or agency as @lisapartments98. Funny enough he/she doesn't even seem to recognize that they just attempted to scam me a few minutes ago. Their offer went up on booking.com about half an hour ago after the other offer was taken down.
@Booking.com if you need screenshot or further information I'm happy to provide it. Please take this ad down asap.

I just attempted to book a room in Sydney with the same agency as @lisapartments98. Fortunately, I feel suspicious and found your posts on this. Thank you very much.

i sent a question to this person about their property in dublin but got no reply after contacting booking.com who couldnt provide any contact details =-i searched the info the owner had posted on advert and luckily found this review so it saved me from being scammed -however after contacting booking .com by e-mail they dont even read what the customer will send them.
I wish I saw this post earlier and searched Lisapartments98 as I tried to book an apartment a couple of days ago! vikapivovarova@instaddr.ch Is the PayPal account they made me send money to!
Not only , there are Friendshipisthebest,Freundundfamilie, Workerpaypal, Claraknight 255,etcc..
anything that takes you to a telegram or whatsapp number is a scam. I lost 754£ to lisapartments trying to book an apartment in london.
They told me to send the money through PayPal f&f because the payment link wouldn’t accept my Amex and I didn’t know my debit details. So they provided an alternative route by PayPal and insisted I do f&f to which I thought maybe they’re trying to dodge booking.com fees and PayPal fees. But I was desperate enough to book as I needed somewhere cheap to stay to revise for an important exam and sit the exam in London.
did you get a refund?
Christine ,, I had to get a refund via my bank Santander in the U.K. because PayPal can not give me the refund due to friends and family method that the payment was made as.
Basically your buyer rights get thrown in the bin when you send through friends and family. No way of getting the money back through PayPal …
ALL PayPal do is say: “we will investigate to see whether the account is violating PayPal terms and conditions / policy” .. but their stand-alone advice was to go through my bank and that the bank can get in touch with them (PayPal) and PayPal will help my banks investigation.
My bank Santander has given me the money as a charge back whilst they do a 30 day investigation. Not sure what the outcome is but they have given me the money. I will wait and see in another 2 weeks. So far the money has not been taken back
I asked the bank for refund but they said they’ll put this under investigation but it’s probably my fault that I entered the OTP but they will investigate so if you can tell me what you did to get a refund please tell me
Christine what menthod did you use to pay - directly by bank or PayPal. If bank I Litterally told my bank that I was trying to book for an appartment and I had screenshots of my chat showing that they even provided me a payment link. That looked like a fake booking.con website - for me to pay, and because that didn’t take my Amex they provided me with a PayPal. And insisted that they wouldn’t get the money unless I do it by friends and family on PayPal. And I told my bank I didn’t know they were trying o scam me had I know I wouldn’t be handing over 880 dollars. The bank should investigate my case because I screenshotted my whole chat to show how I was manipulated. Etc and I asked the bank for a link to provide these screenshots to support my case. How much were you scammed for?
