Waiting time for customer service
Lundi 20 juin.
Hello,
I've been online for more than 2 hours to have the Credit Coverage Insurance removed from my account. I am in the third person, and the problem, however simple, is still not solved. I find that absolutely unacceptable. Do I have to charge for lost time?
Desired outcome: Remove insurance for credit coverage. And explain me why I can't do it by phone.
Raleigh Bicycle
I buy a bicycle for about 600. I rode it on the weekend and I noticed: 1- A small scratch on the left handle beneath the reflective light mount. Suppose my fault although the lightning conditions at the store leave much to be desired. 2- Low gear shift from 1 to 2 just doesn’t fall into place. Strangely, 3 to 2 is fine. 3- High gear shift on 7 and 6 just...

I went shopping at the local store today to pick up a couple of plastic bins. I picked them out and then went to the car while my son paid to the two bins I purchased. When he came to the car I saw that I was charged for three and not two so I went back into the store with the two bins and my receipt. What a horror show. I was basically told that I stole...

I brought the 2018 Santa fe sports with engine light ON to CT for service on June 2, 2022.
The service advisor asked for $160 inspection fee before the work starts, we authorized it and then found out the alarm code is P200A (misleading with P0200), technician checked the valve is working and recommend to clean the intake runner manifold with total of cost of $430 by using de-carbon foam spray. cleared the fault code.
The car came back with the same alarm code P200A next day, Sent it back and ask for $411+tax to replace the sensor without guarantee to fix the problem, I rejected.
The CT store is 8181 Campeau Drive, Kanata, Ontario, K2T 1B7
the service manager is Alex Parshykov and he has really bad attitude.
Desired outcome: refund the money
Gift Card Contest
Upon entering the contest for a $1000 gift card.
I tried several times and each time got the message, invalid entry.
This is false advertising and will deter me from going there again.
Also the receipt had a printout at the bottom from December 2020.
A little outdated. Today is May 30, 2022
Desired outcome: Correct the error, perhaps at store level.
Automotive
Took the car in due to a humming noise which I believed to be a wheel bearing. I was talked by staff into changing both front struts and brake pads and rotors. When I picked up the car the issue was still there and even more now there is a loud noise coming from front passenger side. I brought the car back and they advised me it is now the lower ball joints and it will cost an additional 400 dollars.
90 day return policy best way to lose customers
I purchased two pond pumps for a total of $268.77. The packages were never opened and when I realized the pumps were too large for our ponds I called Canadian Tire to exchange them. They will not take them back as they do not take returns after 90 days - if this were Wal-Mart it wouldn't be a problem. I've spent lots of money at Canadian Tire but they have just lost another customer.
Cashier in store
I was at the store in Pickering Ontario today and was disgusted on the behavior from the cashier . I just paid for some items by credit card and I wanted to pay cash for another item separately, and the cashier did not take cash so she sent me over to the next cashier. When I got there she totally humiliated me and asked me for the bag of items i just purchased and then pulls out the receipt takes the items out and starts checking each one on the receipt to see if I paid for every item. People standing behind me are in shock. I told her i was just sent over by the other cashier. She was rude I asked for the manager three times before she called him over. . I told him I just spent over $400 in this store why would I steal anything. This is disgusting how you treat your customers he said nothing just looked at me with a smirk. I walked out of the store and said I will never come back to this store After telling a few people the story tonight they told me to go back to the store and return all the items i purchased which i will do. I dont want to give business to a store like this.
I am also sure he treated me that way because I had white skin and was not from their culture.
Auto service
I booked an appointment to do tire changes at the Calgary Beacon hill center location. The staff sent me a text with a link of the inspection report that cannot be opened for me to approve so they can start working on my vehicle. I thought the inspection was just for checking tire pressure and breaks and they needed me to approve to start changing tires, so I approved it. Once I sent approval and tried to open the link again, it became expired immediately. As a result, they did an oil change to my vehicle which I can get free at my car's dealerships. I don't need the oil change service, all I need is to change tires.
Desired outcome: I request a refund of the oil change fee and an apology.
Place mat scratched table and then store would not refund me.
I bought some pretty place mats at the Atwater, Montreal Canadian Tire last month. The metal tabs on the sides totally scratched the brand new table I had bought them to protect. I went back within the 90 day time-frame with the original receipt, the barely-used place mats and pictures of the scratches. I was told that I could not get my money back because they wouldn't be able to sell the place mats to another customer. :( I am extremely disappointed with their exceptionally poor customer service, not to mention with my scratched table.
I have photos of the receipt and scratches but the upload is not working. Please let me know if you would like them and I can email them.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate an apology and a refund
Exchange denied
I purchased a light timer from Canadian Tire. It was not clear without opening the package how the timer operated. I gently cut open two sides of the blister packaging, read the instructions and realized I had bought the wrong item. The next night I returned to the store with the receipt and item in its packaging as it was when I purchased it besides the two slivers I cut off to open the package. The young lady at the returns counter said she needed the entire packaging to accept the return. I did not have the small slivers of plastic I had cut off the edges to open the package. I returned home and got the pieces so that the packaging was complete. When I returned to the store the employee refused to exchange this product for the item I wanted saying there were better ways to find out how it worked than opening it.
Desired outcome: Please refund or exchange.

Canadian Tire: To whom it may concern:
On March 21,[protected]@ or around 9;47pm, my boyfriend, my dog, and myself went to Canadian Tire to get some mouse traps. We found the traps and saw one was open, so we took a look at it to see how they looked because I've never used them before. So then we took 4 boxes of sticky mice traps to the till to pay for them. We were just about to pay at the till when a man approached us aggressively and said to my boyfriend “ you are paying for the item you opened because im not.” My boyfriend said “ it was already open.” I said “I am not paying for anything, that was already opened.” Then he said to my boyfriend “you stole something that is in your pocket!” Then he put it on me saying you stole something and put it in my purse. I said “I didn't steal anything, you can check my purse!” I put my purse on the floor, picked up my dog, and said “here check my purse!” he didn't even attempt to check my purse? So I put my dog back in the bag. Then he said “Get out of my store!” I said “ I am going to pay for my things so I am not going anywhere yet”. He grabbed me like I was a man. The lady at the till looked shocked and frightened. (I suffer from a bone disease, osteoarthritis in my neck, shoulders, lower back, knees, ankles, wrists, hands like an 80 yr old woman.) he was pulling me towards the door, he was pulling me so hard I was scared I was going to fall and my dog would die and I would have serious head injury, I thought my dogs head was going to be crushed she is only a Pomchi. So I grabbed onto the cashier doorway and hung on fearing for our lives. I am pretty sure I saved my dog's life and myself from serious head injury. As soon as he grabbed me and my PTSD kicked in, from unfortunate violent abuse suffered from years of abuse. I was scared and felt very vulnerable and wide open. So I hung on to the cashier doorway and hung on for our lives. Just him grabbing me. I have been suffering with excruciating pain throughout my whole body and severe anxiety, PTSD, emotional stress, racial ethnicity, gender discrimination, isolation, sense of fear from men.
My doctor and my lawyer advised me to contact Canadian Tire to negotiate a deal for my loss of life and pain and suffering and settle this for an appropriate settlement.
We will give you two weeks starting on April 22,2022- May 5,2022, if we don't hear back from you we will be going to court.

Price match/refund
On march 31 I purchased a vacuum cleaner from my local Canadian tire, 5 minutes from my home. It was reg price $359 and the sale was $179. Next week the same vacuum was on sale for $99. So went to them for a price match, was told no, so left and contacted the edmundston Canadian tire store, which is a 45 minute drive. they said come they would do the price match. After putting in the product number the sales were not the same, their sale was for $199 not $179 so they could not do the price match. Leaving frustrated, and a bit mAd, proceeded to drive home, decided to call the Canadian tire store in Woodstock. We were told to bring our vac we purchased, that the had one come in there with the same sque box a bit wrecked but vac was in good shape would sell to me for $55 dollars plus gave me a full refund. Very happy and satisfied. We had to drive an hour to get to Woodstock from my home, So we had 1 hour and 45 minutes driving just to get the customer service we should of gotten in our home town. I have never ever had such an issue with Canadian tire on this. I’m so upset with the service I received. Gasis expensive, No need of this. Fell free to reach me by phone [protected]. Or y email. At. [protected]@hotmail.com. Or my home address273 Saint George Street, GrNd Falls, Nb, E3Y1C4. Thank you for your time in this matter. Denise Geneau
Desired outcome: Compensate for having to drive 1 hour and 45 minutes out of my way, to get serviced, when they could of done the same thing in my town, less than 5 minutes.
Same service but big difference price charged oakville vs ottawa
November 2021 my car couldn’t start in Oakville ON, towed to Canadian tire and paid for $61 to check see what was wrong with my car. They came back say I needed change the starter and I did. 2 days later my car has same problem,( luckily was at a gas station on highway 401) got my car towed again back to Canadian tire in Trenton ON. They found out that whoever installed the starter didn’t do a good job, because it was only 2 days so I didn’t have to pay for the service. Today 4 months later, I had same problem again, took back to Canadian tire in Ottawa, they charged me $160 just for checking and found nothing wrong with my car.
I asked why there were so much different in price for the same service ($61vs $160)and the answer was different places different price because of the individual owners. Wow.
Will not bring my car to Canadian tire again.

Order # [protected]
On April 9 I ordered a tire from your Wainwright, AB store. I was not able to purchase one locally in North Battleford. On April 10, I arrived at the Wainwright store to find an error was made and the tire is not available. As a result, I needlessly traveled close to 350 kilometres occupying 4 hours of my time - despite having received an email confirmation my orders was in as specified.
Desired outcome: I would like compensation for my fuel in the amount of $38.50.
Motomaster battery
Hi there, I had bought a battery for my motorcycle in September of 2021.
I used the battery for two months and then stored inside as winter was here and too cold to ride the motorcycle. I recently went to get my motorcycle back up and running and when putting the battery back in I didn’t get the full power of the battery.
I brought into the store to get replaced and they said it was over warranty as it has 6 months warranty and I’m on my 7 months.
I asked if there was something we could do as I only used the battery for TWO months and never got to use again due to not holding a charge. I just feel this is not fair for me to buy a battery and use for two months then not work again when installing back into my motorcycle. So I spent the 130 to get it and never use again which again sucks for me.
I was hoping we might be able to come to a compromise on what we can do as I never really got to use the battery more than the two months and now am required to buy another, which I feel is not fair for me.
Thanks in advanced.
Desired outcome: Get a new battery or credit towards a new one

I phoned orillia store to see if they price match other Canadian tire stores . They said yes over the phone so I took a 1 hr drive to get there and then was told they don’t price match other stores. So did not buy my item . I wasted all my time dealing with this store manager. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com
Desired outcome: Honour your policy’s and sell me the part I was quoted on. My number is [protected]. All stores in bussiness will price match there own stores plus competitors stores.

Read full review of Canadian Tire and 1 commentApril 1st bonus day 30X reward
on April 1st I purchased for $191.87 at a Canadian Tire store in Sherbrooke Quebec. Despite the offer of 30X points for a purchase of $150 it was denied to me. When phoning I was told that I could not use my loyalty points to pay any part of the bill and that this was mentioned in the Web site offer. the web site offer says "Minimum $150 spend is on the pre-tax amount on the same tender and for a single transaction.", and that by same tender they mean that loyalty points cannot be used, but this is not at all obvious to the consumer. Furthermore, I made a second purchase at the same time, but the cashier at the store was unable to record the purchase of garden articles and called for help with a second cashier, so this cashier recorded the further purchase of 57.96 on a separate transaction. I am most offended to be treated like this.
Desired outcome: Obtain the bonus points
