cancelled data contract
I had a data contract with Cell C since August 2017, for R299.00 (20GB night time & 20GB day time), then with the VAT increase the fees increased to R301.62, there was a R100 loaded for usage that went over the 20GB a month, which meant that of the R100 was used the debit order would never be more than R402.50. In July for some reason an amount of R418.49 was debited and then in August an amount of R402.50. I cancelled my contract effective 02/08/2019 which was confirmed by the call center and now another amount of R402.50 was debited from my account for my usage in August? There is no way in hell that I used all the data allocated in 2 days.
Can someone please contact me and explain how they came to this amount of R402.50 for August and the additional amount of R15.99 that was debited in July? I am aware that this is a small amount and I am sure I'm not the only client where an extra amount was debited.
Your urgent response will be appreciated.

I find myself having to reboot my wife router every now and then for the past month.
After I have visited to cell c store I was informed you are working on the problem.
surprisingly you deducting the full premium and yet you are failing to provide the service you promised on the contract.
You must stop deducting premiums until you solve the problem alternatively allow us to cancel our contracts and go to other network operators who seems to know how the business is run unluck you.
In short what I want is you to release me from this contract.

Unauthorized debit order deduction from my account.

My name is Hermanus Stephanus Strydom, ID No :[protected] . I had a Cell C contract that I canceled at the end of the contract period in May 2019.
Cell C did not cancel my contract . Only after a visit to the Cell C shop in Cape Gate Center in June 2019 the contact were terminated .
They are still taking R155 per month via debit order from my ABSA account . The last debit order put through by them was on 25 August 2019 .
I tried calling them to no avail . If you get through to a person they give you the run around and say they cant help you . I have tried calling their legal department . They just do not answer the number provided . I have tried for five days, about two hours per day . No luck on speaking to someone .
Today I went back to the Cell C shop in Cape Gate Center . I spoke to the manager and the assistant manager . THEY JUST SAID THEY CANT HELP ME . i MUST PHONE THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT . THEY ALSO CALLED THE NUMBER PROVIDED AND GAVE UP AFTER HALF AN HOUR WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE .
This level of service is unacceptable . Who is going to help me to stop Cell C from stealing my money ?

I was phone by Chamaine on the 12th August, she advised me that they were running a promotion and i qualify to get a new phone, yesterday i received an sms that i will get a delivery from 8-5, still today i haven't received anything. I find your service very disappointing as i have phoned now and one of your consultant said to me that, they cant see information regarding my upgrade on their system.I am very disappointed on the service that you are giving to your customers.

still being billed for cancelled contracts
Dear Cell C. It has been 7 months now since I cancelled a contract and I am still being billed for it every month. There is also a second wifi contract that was cancelled due to faulty routers that were supplied from the beginning of said contract. After numerous phone calls, e-mails and trips to the Cell C shop and empty promises I eventually received an e-mail stating that all my issues will be resolved on 29 August 2019. Long story short and to put it in as subtle a way possible, I have made it very clear that I am unhappy with the situation and it has not received any attention. I have proof and a paper trail of all the necessary documentation from my side. For a world class company like Cell C, I am dumbstruck to how they are able to open an account in 5 minutes, but take 7 months to cancel a contract. I know this is a long shot, but if Cell C has a person competent to explain to me how this fits in with their standars for customer service or alternatively sort out the matter, it would be much appreciated. My name is Emeka Sanctus Okoye and I have been using my sim for over 8 years and I travelled to Nigeria frequently using the same Sim while am out of south africa. Recently I am in Nigeria and my line was suspended. I spoke to the customer services and they referred me to Nerisha Gounden whom I sent an email and came back to me on email that i should send my passport copy which i did and also called her to confirm the email. She later then said my sim is not Rica d and that the line was suspended because there were too many calls going out of south africa to Nigeria and back from Nigeria to south africa. Which I said to her it is because am in nigeria and my line is a business line even though it's a prepaid it is the only way I can communicate with my clients while am out of the country and she didnt say any other thing again but I should wait until I return back from Nigeria to south africa before they can be able to review the line or help. So what happens then if I lose my business and clients while am out of the country ? Then what is the use of it? Please kindly see to this as it is not really fair to me and my business

On the night of the 24th of August 2019, my ex-boyfriend snatched my cellphone from me, the same night I called Cell C to block my phone and the told me I did not answer security questions correctly. I went to the police station and the police told me I should block the cellphone after then they will open a case. I called Cell C again and they gave me the same answer, on the 27th of August 2019 I went to Cell C store in Klerksdorp and they filled in a form for me were they told me my matter will be resolved within 7 days.in the mean time I ported my number to MTN on the very same day. My current boyfriend assisted me with lodging a complaint with Cell C via social network and they sent him a Blacklisting form to fill which I filled on the 29th of August 2019. Today the 30th of August 2019 Cell C consultant called me and after answering his questions he told me they cannot block my phone as my number is not with Cell C.
My problem is that my ex - boyfriend is busy threatening me, harrasing me and saying he is going to kidnap my child. I am constantly living in fear as I do not know what is this guy going to do or where is he. All I need is my cellphone to be blocked so I can open a case against him.

incompetent staff
On the 23rd August one of your consltant called me to sell me a contract. I wasn't available and asked for her to call back sat which she did. I went through the whole application hich all was good. I qualified. Confimed banking details. Confirmed address etc.
I got sms to say all was good and will receive parcel. On Monday I got sms with courier details. Then I got a sms to say they couldn't deliver. I checked again and it was the wrong address they had. I lived at that address 7 yers ago? He then asked for my right address which I did give and he would be at my place around 2 that afternoon. Just before 2 I called and he then said he doesn't know where I stay and he needs to confirm with the office if I can receive it as the previous address which was wrong. He didn't phone back. I needed to collect kids so I called again. He said ne he can't deliver it they need to send it back to cell c. I then phoned 084145 and explained what happened. The person on the line said they would get the lady who did application to call me to sort this out. She never did. I phoned again and explained the whole story again and they said they would send another message to get her to call me. Still nothing. 3rd today I have called. Went through he whole story then got put through to another person who asked my details etc etc... Then told me I need to go through the whole application once again. [censored]! Go to my recording on sat and sort this out. Obviously this woman doesn't know what she is doing working for you. Waisting people's time... Why do I need to go through the application when it was all done for some unknown reason she gave courier wrong address. I said cancel!

Please be of assistance with regards to few misunderstandings occurred at the purchase stage of the 50 gig cell C special.
I purchased the 50 gig Cell C special with the impression that it's a month to month contract (meaning no money no data). As things stand currently I'm behind on my payment with almost 3 months. With that being said "DATA" was not loaded at the time frame that I'm behind on my payments with 3 months.
I thought the contract was a pay as you use but now I haven't received data for 3 months but I owe data for 3 months (confused).
Clarity is required as to what has transpired as stated above.
I would really appreciate it if you can provide the purchase call and the copy of my contract for my perusal.
Lastly please provide the complaints procedure to be followed for my utterances to be attended too urgently.

On Saturday 24 August 2019, i tried to do an early upgrade as my phone broke. While at the store, the lady who assisted me told me that the contract is not mine, but my dad. Accordingly, my father had to write a letter confirming that he want transfer the contract to my name. I also had to write a letter, confirming that I accept the contract. Although i am paying this contract for almost 9 years, upgraded several times in the past and never skipped a payment, it seems like Cell C does not want me as a customer as they refuse to assist me to upgrade. Now i have to sent payslips and bank statements and what not, although I paid this contract for how many years. I decided to let the contract expire and will approach a different cellular service provider, one that actually want my money. Unacceptable Cell C. Extremely poor service.

fraudulent upgrade
On March 2018 someone upgraded my contract without my authorization and it reflects that the upgrade was for a Samsung A7 combo. I have never authorized an upgrade and I never received these phones. I reported the case to Cell C on 12 July 2019 and I submitted all the information they required and I was promised that I will receive feedback in 48 hours from the time I reported the case.
It is now more than a month later and I have not received any feedback. When I follow up they keep promising me that Melissa Hughes(who is investigating my case) will call me back but she has never called me back but they are continuing debiting my account every month. I'm starting to think that this is a scam by Cell C to rip their customers because they know you can not have direct access to the said people who are supposed to investigate. The customer care service consultants all tell me there is nothing they can do except to ask Melissa to call me. I really don't know what to do anymore to get resolution
I want Cell C to refund me R6000.00 that they have debited from my account since April 2018 and I want them to cancel that contract

Last week on the 19 and 20 August 2019 called cell c and spoke to Happiness Mthembu from cell c customer care who transferred the call to Sandile Dlamini in the Contract Department spoke to sandile and confirmed all my confidential credentials he advised that i will get my letter in 24 or 48 hours.Same day i chatted with Pretty Mabaso on the cell c website that has instant chat gave her all my details and she advised that ill get my letter in 2days time and gave me a refference no: [protected] and i waited till today i have not received any email or call but i made follow up call on the 22nd where i was told that my matter was escalated and i will be assisted on the case open.I still didnt get any help from cell c.

poor service received
I have been calling the Call Center as well as visiting the Stores over the last few weeks and each time I have received extremely poor service. The Agents (both Store and Call Centre) are rude, incompetent and do not know their products. The information provided is contradictory and their staff are unhelpful.
I was trying to renew my contract but several agents have called me, made false promises, contradicted what the previous person said and then promise to call me back which never happens. Eventually I was referred to a store where service levels were even worse

I have been to Century City Cell C store 8 times in the past 4 years for the same thing EVERY time.
I would like to move my contract from my father's name, to my own. I was told by Ishmaeel that this is a very easy process (little did I/ or he know).
Moving the banking details was a 24 hour process, since Cell C will never miss a chance to debit, but moving the contract HAS BEEN 4 years in the making!
I can not load data... Query anything on the contract... Phone the call centre... Since I am not the "owner" of the contract.
I am left disgusted and appalled by the time, effort and money it has taken me to try and resolve this "easy" issue.
I can not wait for this contract to finally end!

cell c fibre
I have been battling with my cell c Fibre speeds since April. I have a contract with Cell c for 100/100 speeds and between 18:00-23:00 every evening my speeds drop to under 10MBPS. I have sent mails to Cell C every single day since this happened and still nothing has been resolved. I am paying R999 per month and I am not getting speeds for what I am paying for. I have been speaking to numerous people but still no solution. I am not sure how many months I need to wait. I demand a refund since these issues started occurring. I will rather cancel my contract and sign up with another company who can give me proper service.

We have signed up with Cell C fibre on the 21/08/2019. On the 12/09/2019 there was supposedly a software upgrade on the Fibre line which brought our fibre connection to a standstill. I was given a problem number 111242 and was advised by SADV that they had 72 hours to resolve the problem. The Fibre connection started to work again on the 15/09/2019 for a couple of hours and then it started dropping the line and with it we had no Internet service. I phoned SADV on the 17/09/2019 and complained which they then advised that this was a general problem in the area as there had been water pipes damaged and the council was digging up the pavement and at the same time damaging the fibre lines. This carried on until 20/09/2019 when I contacted Cellc Support and advised that I was getting a runaround from SADV and was then given a Problem number 113861. I kept on at both Cellc support and SADV during the weekend of the 21st and 22nd but I got no answers from both Cellc and SADV. I eventually sent an email to support@fibre.co.za on the 25/09/2019 with a Speed Test result of my limited access and given a further problem number CF093077. It has been two weeks that I have been sitting with a problem with no internet access and limited access when it is available. It seems that the signal at times is so weak that it drops the internet and the service light goes out on the Fibre module on the wall. I am at the stage of cancelling this contract and looking at a service provider that will give me better service. Was contacted by a sales person for a contarct with cell c sometime in may.
I took a sim only contract reason been: it was r139.00 per month.
End of may my bill was r700 and something and I nearly had a heart attack.

Bad customer care services

As I'm typing this message, I called the Call Centre Services 13 minutes ago and I'm still online and can here the fun, laughter, jokes the staff is making and screaming from my side "hello, hello" for assistance. No one is responding which mean they picked my call up but no one is answering my call. After 14 minutes I received the voice recording that asked to rate the agents assistance.
I feel very disappointment as a client. All my phone contracts and vibe contract is with C Cell but after this bad service (and not the first time) I really want to reconsider changing my service provider. I am calling in working hours and don't have the time to call again. I called last month to cancel my data card contract that expired in June already and did so last month when a agent called. But its still being deducted and this morning I called receiving this bad service.
I am not happy in the manner Cell C agents is assisting. my contact number is [protected] as this is really expectable because of the financial implications.

5 day data boost
Please be advised that I recharged this morning and bought a 5 day data bundle of R25.00 ( 250mb), I then chose the option of taking the 250mb WhatsApp BOOT valid for 5 days for R7.50 more. But I was charged another R25.00 extra instead of R7.50.
I queried this with your Call Center but they could not assist. The lady's actual words were " sorry ma'am there is nothing we can at cell c can do"
So it is ok for Cell C to be selling a fraudulent product to their loyal customers like myself and still have a call center agent who is as pathetic as hell.
What you guys are doing is theft. nothing best describes this immoral practice from such a giant company like yourselves.
