What a useless incompetent bunch of idiots are employed at Cell C, I have overpaid my contract and received a call for an upgrade a few months ago, I had queried my overpaid account during this call and requested a refund. I followed up on the 3rd of April with a call being placed to Cell C, I spoke to an agent who referred my query to the Line Manager who promised to log my call and provide a reference number, I called again and was put through to another agent I was told that my query was not logged as there was no reference number, I then requested to speak to a Senior Manager, I spoke to three different Managers one of them requesting a Bank statement to confirm that payments were made by the specific account in question (is this really necessary or just another time delaying tactic after all you received my payments from this account all the time) I adhered to the request even though I was on Holiday with lots of inconvenience because of this request and yet to date they could not resolve my query. I'm so tired of making these calls and explaining the same thing over and over again. I recently received calls from another Manager who acted on my query but lied to me that my money would be refunded yesterday. I called again this morning and vented my frustration and was told that this manager was on leave yet he called back later in the day, again no refund reflects in my account. Because of the promise made to me I requested a proof of payment today. The Manager sent me a system generate statement confirming that my refund is in the queue for payment, what an incompetent Manager he is, after explaining the entire scenario to him I was of the view he would act diligently and expedite my refund with money being transferred into my account and not by means of a system generated statement. I would like Cell C to refund my overpaid funds with interest and cover the costs of all the calls I have placed to them since last week reason being my query stems back from the date of the upgrade call a few months ago, I followed up on the 3rd of April and to date their 3 to 7 day SLA has not been honoured to their loyal customer.
To the CEO and the Executive Management Team, I guess you sit on your butts enjoying your coffee and meetings while your Business profits from unethical practices by your staff and the shoddy services you render, you are clueless about the Poor Service your incompetent staff render to Patrons who pay in advance and support your Business. In my honest opinion your staff reflects a true description of incompetence at its best and deserves to be employed probably in informal trade rather than customer services. South Africans don't need shoddy services like yours. If you are serious about doing Business in the New South Africa catch a wake up and fix your problems as there is no space in Customer Services for idiots like your staff. My perception about your Brand is at its lowest, I will never do Business with Cell C again and please refund my overpaid amount with interest as well as the costs associated with the numerous calls placed to your Customer Care Line or else I will lay charges of theft against your company and publish this in the Media. I'm not afraid of doing so!

I've been trying to pay my account the entire day and no one has been able to assist me, it's ridiculous. I'm with Standard Bank and I'm trying to make an EFT.
These are my otions when i type in Nedbank:
Nedbank Incorp. FBC, Nedbank Lesotho Limited, Nedbank Limited, Nedbank Ltd Incorp. PEP Bank, Nedbank Namibia and Swaziland is obviously not an option.
So I select Nedbank Limited, but when I do that, this automatically appears in the branch section; [protected] - all branches and there is nothing I can do about it. It won't let me search for or type in a branch. Corporate client services as a branch does not exist. Cell C as a branch does not exist.
I refuse to have to keep going into Nedbank to make these payments any further, nobody has the time for that. Therefore I refuse to pay my account for cellphone number [protected] until you have sorted out this matter.

Hi, I am absolutely at the breaking point here with cellc, I do still have 3 contracts with them which i will pay off and cancel, due to their lack of knowledge with a simple problem.. i had a phone number [protected]) which I used for the last 18+ years of my life, it is a mtn which I ported to cellc, some time ago, last month my phone was stolen ( March 7th 2018). When I visited the cellc store to make a new sim, I was told the number is registered to a person born in 1951, I am born in 1983 . How is this possible? When I have had the the phone number ever since high school.. I contacted the call centre, they asked me for.a security check, to which I'm not sure of the last numbers I dialled it's normal to forget, the phone I was using was a dual SIM card, on SIM 1 I had a contract card and SIM 2 was my number in question (083 number) .I used to make calls using my contract card and mostly receive calls using my number (083). This number is linked to my bank and all the accounts I have. It even used to be on contract with cellc, and after the contract ended i went to payg, yet they cannot help.. I asked the call centre agent, who's name is rosemary if i had to obtain a affidavit from the police station together with records from my bank showing this number has been my number all the time. She said there's nothing she can do. If i fail the security check it's almost cause.. I would like someone from higher authority to please assist.. I need that number back.. as it was stolen from me.. it belongs to me.. what else do u guys need to consider the fact that I would not go this far to get something if it didn't mean so much to me.. u can contact me on [protected]. data purchase, money taken, no data received. bad customer service
I purchased data on Cell C's website on 6 Feb 2018, and paid using my card through Payfast.
The data never arrived, I contacted cell C, and was told to wait 24 hours. I contacted them after that, the service agent confirmed that no data had been sent to my wifi number of [protected]. they said I should contact Payfast for a refund.
Payfast, after sending proof to them, confirmed that Cell C had already been paid.
I sent this proof to sell c, and the incompetent agents kept sending me a reply to deal with Payfast, obviously not reading the email properly.
It is now over 3 months later and it is still not resolved. I do not have a refund or the data. or anyone competent giving me a solution. EXTREMELY frustrated.

contract cancellation
I initially signed a cell phone contract with cell c (24 mths).I then decided to cancel the contract in the 18th month.After making enquiries I was advised to pay the sum of R1324-75 for such cancellation which was done in march 2018.
I thereafter received a statement for the amount of R 1162-06 stating cancellation fee.
At no time was I advised that a cancellation fee is involved.
If I had been advised I would have waited the full term.
I contacted the call centre on 9/04/2018 and I was told that the fees apply.

Miss Jade Shanker called in today as she was promised on the 7 april 2018 that she will get a call back concerning her complaint on her data validation case. Customer as been calling in as no one contacted her back ever since she logged the complaint and she has been calling in to do follow ups on her on cases that was created and she was advised that she will be contacted after 2 working days and its been more than the time she was advised on.
Customer is unhappy with the way the case is being handle as there is no information on the case for us at the customer desk to provide customer with. There are to cases logged for one complaint but still no one got back to the customer even after 3 working days.

Still no feedback, I mean this is absolutely ridiculous, I have called everyday since the 3.04 and still nothing.
Very unsatisfied and disappointed with the service, I know for a fact it does take to long for a call recording to be pulled out and dealt with.
4 months to cancel contract with cell c
The power is not in our hands but in the hands of incompetent and uncaring staff at cell c. My contract ended in Dec 2017. I canceled the contract with consultant Sibongile on 3 Jan 2018. As my account was still being debited I called the cancelation department on 12 March where a very unhelpful and rude Sadne Simaru (Ref:[protected]) assured me that she would do an immediate cancelation of the contract. Her very self important manager Elon Govender was supposed to call me back - no cancelation, no call. I went to the Cell C branch at the Glen on 6 April and established my contract was still not canceled! I called the cancelation department from the branch (Ref:[protected]) and spoke to the only customer centric person I have encountered at Cell C - Tshepiso Mojapelo, who only had the authority to do a 30 day cancelation notice - 4months after I have given notice!?! His manager, Kriaan Naidoo, with mandate to do an immediate cancelation was supposed to call me - to date no cancelation, no call from management who are too important to care about client needs! I have been loyal to cellc for most of my life, sold cellc products out of stock in stores and even took out a cellc contract when I made a career change.
As per standard procedures I damaged my cell phone claimed from my insurance and waited the waiting period.
I have been waiting to date 11 months for a repaired / replaced handset. My contract has ended in January 2018 and I have been told by the store consultant that if I cancel my contract my insurance claim will be forfeited.
Please note that I have paid my access fee and was sent an email of different phones I can Select from I have chosen my device and called to confirm the device has been dispatched.
Yesterday on my follow I was been told otherwise that they are now going to repair the damaged device.
Please take immediate action on this as I have been patient enough now, if this does not get sorted today by the end of your business hours I will be taking legal actions against you.
I have all email documents from both the store and cell c insurance.

05/04/18 - [protected], called the call centre regarding an account query, spoke to RENE who is extremely unhelpful and has an attitude, I have proof that I have paid my account, she says send an email to accounts, has not given me an email address to email proof of payments to, refuse to listen to what I had to say or even try to help me in anyway, I finally asked to speak to someone in accounts and was cut off, currently still holding for the call centre to answer my call, it is now 45 mins, on hold...
By the way you can never get proper service, but choose the option " new contract or upgrade" call is answered within seconds, staff are sooooooooo friendly,

Last year on the 24 November 2017, Black Friday, I was at the Cell c store in East Gate Mall.I ordered the phone on special deal (Apple iPhone SE 32GB-R199 per month contract) which was due to arrive Tuesday ( 28 November 2017) to which I agreed and signed up.I followed up with them on that day and then they said it is on the way and will come by the first week of December 2017.Again I followed up. I personally visited the branch many time, made phone calls regularly and even met the manager, but..nothing and up to date...nothing!no calls from them no alternative options...nothing!
I waited for this gift for so long.Cell c lied and did not fulfill their advertised promise.

My account was paid and proof sent to the agents. It was paid more than 2 weeks ago, I still have not received a paid up letter. I called 5 times a day and get no help. I hold on for 20 minutes in the hope of speaking to someone but the call then cuts off. I am spending the money yet they dont care. A transaction is in jeopardy. I need that letter.

I borrowed your emergency airtime on the 02/04/2018 and immediately I bought WhatsApp bundles of R15 but I received an sms saying that the transaction can't be processed I should recharge and when I checked the balance I had R11 and some odds, I don't have data for WhatsApp.
Escalation has been done today and im scared to buy airtime coz I don't know what will happen and I have a family that I need to call. This is not the first time this is happening

Glocell adopted a contract of mine from Altech Autopage .This means that i didnt select them by choice .Since 2 years now they have closed all but 1 branch in the entire Kaw-zulu Natal .They are impossible to contact and never return calls .They advertise email addresses that come back as failed . I just want to terminate my contract but dont know how to do it .It is due for expiry in 22 days however if you dont cancel it they auto renew it .Very sneaky way .

I took out a contract with cell c that gives me 2 devices (A tablet and a handset) in August 2017. My tablet stopped working end of January 2018, I contacted Cell c and it was collected on the 26 January 2018 for repair. I called on the 06 February 2018 to find out what was the progress with the handset as I had not received any feedback regarding this.
I spoke to an advisor in the repairs department on the 6 February 2018 who advised me, my screen is cracked and will have to pay R1000+ for a replacement tablet. I informed the advisor that my tablet was working the morning left it at home as I do not travel with it. I have a smaller phone that I travel with, my screen was not cracked when I took it in for service. My tablet was working fine the morning left for work and did not want to switch on or charge when I came back. The advisor also informed me she will escalate the matter and I will receive feedback within 2 days.
I then sent Cell C an email regarding this apparent charge, I was called back and informed a replacement tablet is being sent to me and there was no mention of a charge. So the advisor I spoke to was making up everything that she was telling me as no one understood why I would be charged and why the advisor had said that.
The handset was faulty and I received a different tablet as a replacement handset, that handset stopped working after 6 days. I contacted Cell C again and they said they would come pick up for repairs. I emailed them 2 weeks later and was informed, the handset was faulty and they will send me another tablet same brand as the first handset. I was informed on the 16 March that I will receive the handset on the 19-20 March 2018. I contacted Cell C on the 20 March 2018 to inquire about the delivery as I had received no notification regarding it and also notify them that I will not be at the address where they will deliver the handset until the 26 March 2018. The advisor that was assisting me said she will call as she needs to inquire, she did not call me back. 2 days later I receive an SMS about the notification of my delivery. I contacted Cell C and was transferred to upgrades even though I had made it clear to the advisor that this is not an upgrade. The next advisor was ofcause of no help and wanted to provide with a number to call and I hung up.
Delivery lady calls me on the 23 March 2018, I informed her I am not at the address and had notified Cell C. She said she will come back 26 March 2018 when I am back at work to deliver.
Yesterday 26 March 2018, the delivery came I opened it. The incorrect device was sent to me a small phone. The informed the delivery guy and he told me he just deliveries and I must contact Cell C. I emailed Cell C and was called back, then transferred and the line cut or advisor hung up at this rate I don't know, no callback. Today I called Cell C and they said they have to fetch the handset. Then I have to call them back 3 days after they pick up my handset to inquire about the replacement tablet. I was also informed the tablet I was supposed to receive is no longer available.
I have never had to call Cell C so much in the time as I have this year alone I have been with Cell C for over 10 years. I am appalled by the service I have received, what is going on there and it's not just one person, how can so many people get it so wrong for so long. I have been dealing with this for 2 months now, I am tired of talking to Cell C consultants, it's like I work there the way this has consumed and inconvenienced my life. I actually want nothing to do with Cell C, what would be a resolution for me right now is for this contract to end to never have to call Cell C again or just give a tablet that works, cause really I am exhausted now.

On Monday 26/03/2018 I saw the advertisement of the above mentioned product to BUY IN CASH for the amount of R1119 and the S8 plus for the amount of R1209. When trying to buy the phone online there is a technical problem. I then called 084135 and spoke to Thombi (14h19) and Mbuso (14h24) and Thulile (14h27) it was confirmed off the price I saw on the Cell C network/web address by the call centre (please note that all calls are recorded). They then directed me to 084145 and I spoke to Vusi (14h30) and then to the Manager Tshimangadzo Omenkah (14h45). She said that she will get back to me and will also contact the Technical Team and also gave me the number 084143 - spoke to Sombiso (14h50) - He suggested that I contact the nearest branch as I have to buy the phone in store and not online.
I called Cell C Secunda Mall [protected]) spoke to Brian - explained to him the reason of my call. While busy on the line with him Tshimangadzo called me on my cell phone and asked me to make a screen print of the website and email it to her - I also told her I'm on the line with Brian at Cell C Secunda - so she said that its fine I can deal with him regarding the purchase - but I will also send her the screen shot. Brian then asked me to send him the screen shot as well - as the price in store shows R14 999 for the same phone.
I did then emailed the screen shot to [protected]@cellc.co.za and to [protected]@cellc.co.za
Brian called back and said he is just waiting for feedback from his managers regarding this issue and will get back to me today (27/03/2018). I didn't receive any feedback until I called in again to Cell C Secunda at 11h08 - Brian then advised me that there is no feedback yet and I requested that he must forward the emails send to Head Office regarding this query. I still intend to buy the phones at the price advertised.
The mail was received and I did send a mail requesting feedback.

Good day I have requested for an upgrade yesterday26 March with Cell C after the upgrade I have notice online there is for the same phone for R49 more a VR gear headset. I phone in and request for an upgrade change the guy told me I must wait a day and phone again next day to change it. I phone in this morning They told me I have to talk first to cancellation department and cancel my order. The Cancellation department ask that I must phone the upgrade department. I phone the upgrade department they say my phone is already send out I need to wait 2 days for them to send phone back and then only can order again a new upgrade. This is really so stupid planning and service of Cell C I will cancel both my contracts with them and also let my parents cancel there phones with them so in total because of there bad service they will lose 4 contracts.

debiting r740 instead of r75
The last debit for the previous contract was Jan 2018 which was R730, my new contract started in Feb R75 for data only( 1gig) in feb they debited R706.41 i then went to reverse the debit and they deactivated my sim card, in march they debited R706.41 and R740, what i dont understand is how did they come up with a R740 when my card was deactivated. is it possible to cancel the contract, and i don't mind paying the penalties i just don't want anything to do with cell c
