I'm complaining about a manager
On the day 08/12/2023 Moses had the cooks to come in the office to discuss the break issues and he clearly stated that everyone needs to take their break before 10 so on the date of 08/13/2023
I came in to work at 6 in the morning I took my break at 8 when I came back to clock in the manager told me to clock out because he says he didn't tell me to take a break and I stated to him that he didn't say that he was going to administer breaks and he told me it's not up for debate while were still on the floor and not in the office I feel that I was wrongfully terminated and I feel that he is racist I didn't do anything wrong but what I was told and when I asked for corporate number he denied my request
Food
I went to Crackel barrel Sunday August 6. I purchased a grandma meal I believe. 2 pancakes, sausage, 1 bacon scrambled eggs. I purchased this meal for my 93-year-old mother. went to longview store for dimmer about 3 pm today, we are two elderly women one 69 the other 70, we were setted and given menus and there we sat for 15 to 20 minutes with no one coming to table for drink order or anything i asked hostess to please check for us and she went back and never said a thing to us upon walking out the cashier asked what the problem was and we shared with her what happened, She called the manager who said something about sending some one home to change, This will be our last time visiting any cracher barrels as this was not the properly run store

Breakfast and waitress
On a recent visit to the location in mid-morning (1030AM) my breakfast was obviously left over from earlier. Sausage was the consistency of a hockey puck, grits were cold. Very sad.
To exacerbate the situation, the young female black waitress repeatedly referred to us in "christian" terms. As a non-christian, this was insultng. Wishing me a blessing and calling me my beloved, is a symbol of ignorance as to how you treat other people, assuming they belive what you do. ]]

Service and quality of good
This past Sunday, July 30, 2023 my husband and I had dinner at your Peoria, AZ location.
First I'd like to say, we have been regularly eating at this location for 10+ years. Mostly breakfast,but occasionally for dinner.
Dylan was our wait person.
After about 10 minutes of taking our order, she brought our iced teas.
Than it took at least 20+ minutes before our meals arrived, delivered by a different wait person.
We didn't see Dylan again until she brought the check.
My husband had the chicken fried steak dinner with broccoli and baked potato.
The meat was warm at best, the broccoli was so cool it wouldn't melt butter.
The baked potato was so overcooked it was burnt around the edges and dry inside.
I ordered the grilled chicken salad.
The chicken was ice cold, and dry, probably cooked hours before than placed in the cooler. The hard boiled eggs that should've been cold, were room temperature. The ranch dressing was very thin, and room temperature also.
I did not receive crackers with my salad as stated on the menu.
This probably won't stop us from returning to this location, but only for breakfast, which has always been received as ordered.
We've always enjoyed our breakfast there, especially if we were lucky enough to have Jesse as our server.

Store completely unprepared for volume of business. Manager not prepared to address issues. No silverware delivered with meal. Part of meal on floor and not replaced. Inaccurate order missing item. when reminded a second time of missing item the fix by the manager was to bring 3 with an excuse of being busy
As a tourist area this store should be prepared for "busy" You need a new manager at this location or training of current employees.
7/30/23 went to bowling green Ky store complete opposite. 9am visit. Busy with wait times. Manager sitting customers, wait staff friendly, food prepared correctly. This store and staff should be the example of what all of your stores perform to. It runs like a well oiled machine.
On a 37.00 order I tipped waitress $25.00 and also spoke to the manager about the quality of his establishment. He should be promoted to district manager or given a raise as he is doing it right
Menu item: hash brown casserole
I've been a customer at Cracker Barrel for over 30 years. One of the biggest mistakes they have made occurred this past year when someone got the bright idea to change the recipe for the infamous hash brown casserole. They have completely ruined that menu item and I personally know 4 couples that will no longer go there because of this. The waitresses also acknowledge that the change is one of the most mentioned negative reviews they receive from customers. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL RECIPE FOR THE HASH BROWN CASSEROLE.
Desired outcome: Change of recipe back to the original hash brown casserole.

I visited Cracker Barrel in Texarkana, which I frequently visit. This particular time when I was there with a couple of friends for lunch, the service was terrible. We were seated in the back area of the restaurant, where they had either forgotten where we were or just never came. So after about 15 minutes a waitress came over and asked if what we wanted to drink. After about another 5 minutes a waiter came over and said he was sorry, but our waitress had an emergency and had to leave and he would be our waiter, and he took our drink order. So after about five minutes he brought our drinks, and we asked if we could have some cornbread. Another few minutes he brought the bread no extra small plates or asked if we needed anything. While back there, there was 2 other people back in the area that had been there before we arrived but we could tell that they was there for other reasons other than eating. Then this guy came thru that looked as if he was a manager headed to where the lady was seated, and we asked if he was a manager or if we could talk with a manager about our service, and he then becked for the waiter to come, and he came with the waitress that he had said had to leave, and we asked about our order. The manager went to the table and was doing interview with the people that was seated in the same area we were assigned to. The waiter never came back. Never came back to ask if our food was correct, which mine wasn't because it was to salty, and the hashbrown cassorole was cold, but he never came back to our table to check.
We finished our food and waited for check which again no one came, so we started to the front, when waiter noticed and offered our ticket which was wrong, so when we got to the front to pay, we told the cashier that we not only had been waiting on our ticket, but the service was terrible. So we tried to tell him what we had ordered so we could pay & leave, when the waiter finally came with our tickets. We asked who was the manager, and his name was Tim, he said that he was just a cashier, and couldn't help with what was in the other area, and manager was interviewing. I like Cracker Barrel and I frequent there, but that was the worse service I have ever experienced. If they was short staffed, it would have been nice if they had let us know when we arrived. The worse was the waiter/waitress that we had. NEVER Never came beck to the table, not even to offer tea or water, or see if we needed anything for our food.
The service was so bad, it made the food even worse.

We waited a half hour for our order. When I finally got the waitress to go check, she brought the order. Oh, it was just ready. My husband's mashed potatoes were hard, indicating they had been sitting. She denied the orders had been sitting. We refused to eat the meals and on the way out asked for the manager at the check-in station. After he was called a second time, we quit waiting and just left. Also, the floor was dirty. One of the waitresses slipped because of this. But the worst of all, two tables over was a table with a customer with her dog in her lap. This is not legal. I eat at Cracker Barrell often. I had ate at the one in our home town the night before. This is the Wilson, NC location.
Gift cards - not able to use them
I have 3 gift cards I got as gifts about 3 years ago. I tried to use one in Stewartstown PA on May 14, 2023, and was told by the cashier that they no longer honor the older ("no expiraton date") gift cards. I was directed to contact corporate.
I went online and I filled out their online request-for-help-form and was only able to insert one gift certificate number per form, so had to make 3 separate inquiries.
That was on June 6th. The auto-response emails ("do not reply to this email") arrived on June 6th with the message that they would respond within 5 days. It has been 10 days and I haven't heard one word.

Your police on gay pride week is so stupid you don't celebrate straight pride week but you give in to the minority. I eat breakfast with a group of Christian men every Friday. My daughter and I were dining in at the Cracker Barrel on Miller Lane, Dayton, Ohio on June 2, 2023 at about 5:30 p.m. The restaurant was not extremely busy and there were sufficient servers.
My daughter and I continued to wait while watching others being seated and served while we were ignored. We finally left the restaurant without any service and I told the cashier on the way out I didn't have a bill because we were never served or even checked on.
We went to the Olive Garden on Miller Lane and were seated promptly and waited on immediately. The food was excellent and served quickly although the Olive Garden was doing a lot more business than the Cracker Barrel on Miller Lane at this time.
We will return to the Olive Garden when we are again visiting Miller Lane, which is frequently. We will not be back to the Cracker Barrel. I am glad you are doing such good business that you don't need customers. I am not sure all of my friends on social media agree with you though.
Desired outcome: We will never be back and our friends have chosen other venues of better service.
