I shop consistantly at Dollar General in Maumelle Arkansas. Was extrememly dissappointed to see the change in the Clover valley Coffee Creamer. Not only did you change the appearance, but you took out 5.5 ounces and still charge the Same Price! I go to Dollar General expecting a good product for a good price, I could easily go down the road to Kroger or WalMart but choose Dollar General. Easy in Easy out and good products at good prices. But having my doubts now. I easily buy 5 16oz creamers a week. I cannot do that anymore. I wish you would not have changed your product size. With the recession approaching, we are looking for deals, and your just making it worse.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I bought Clover Valley Coffee today at 13 ounces for$ 2.50 and it was sealed, but it was only about 1/3 full. I am starting to become quite dissapointed with Dollar General and move my business to Family Dollar. I am dissapointed in the downsizing of several of their products also.
Downsizing of duplex sandwich creme cookies too! I guess I'll start buying at Kroger and Walmart again. Fewer cookies, less filling and cookies are bland compared to earlier products. Chicken noodle soups are the same thing. Went from 16 oz cans to 14.5 oz cans for the same price. Family Dollar or Walmart offer better deals. This is dated February 6, 2010.
I was wondering why your Clover Valley sodas only offer a diet soda in cola. You carry many flavors in the regular soda line and have even added Dr. Topper to the line. I like the Clover Valley diet cola but I too would like to see more variety in the diet soda line. I'm sure that other diet soda drinkers would agree with me. Please consider adding more flavors to you line of diet Clover Valley drinks.
I bought my usual case of clover valley diet colas very recently only to get home, tasted one and found it to be tasted flat. When I looked on the cans I saw that they had expired in early 2010! This past week I was in a hurry so I picked up another case of the same colas. AGAIN I opened the case to get one and found out they TOO had expired! Would you believe the date was May. 2010! COME ON, DOLLAR GENERAL
I don't have my own car. I was riding with someone else on both times so I didn't ask them to take me back to the store.
Sorry about all the mispelled words. I typed too fast.
i shop at the waycross dollar general market. I love the folks there and the prices are great. A few weeks ago I saw your Clover Valley lite cranberry juice and purchased a bottle. FANTASTIC..much better than ocean spray . I have a kidney problem and I drink quite alot of cranberry juice. When I went back to pick up more, I was told that it was discontinued. Please say that isnt so.. That juice is so good that I drink it rather than a coke. Is there anyplace else I can purchase the clover valley lite cranberry juice.
I used to love clover valley coffee now its like your charging same price yet we are getting less cause my can was not even half full. I think I need to start shopping elsewhere so I'll at least get my moneys worth...
Are there any recalls on the mountain explostion soda?Cause the last 3 bottles I've bought smell nasty. They got a musky smell.
I am writing in regards to "The Mountain Explosion." I purchased '4' 12 packs about 2 weeks ago in Morgantown, KY. I suddenly became very ill with many digestive issues i.e. stomach pain, profuse diarrhea, nausea along with some neurological issues. I have been to the doctor 5 times in which I was noted to have a sinus infection but all the intestinal issues were a mystery. I am a 40 year old male who was so ill that I was Pooping my pants, for real.. Last night I got my sense of smell back and noticed that my Mountain Explosion smelled like MOTOR GREASE or OIL! I thought that maybe my senses were off but my wife and kids confirmed THE SAME SMELL. I reported it today to the Company and was told it will take about 48 hours for a review and someone MAY get back with me!
Hello,
I just opened this bag of Clover Valley BBQ Chips, and this is how much was in the bag... The rest was filled with AIR!
I have purchased Clover Valley Dried Apricots on several occasions at the Family Dollar in Ringgold, Ga. 2 times I have gotten a bag that when you open them, they smell fermented. The first time I threw the bag in the garbage, the 2nd time, I called the [protected] number on the back of the bag. Spoke with a lady who took all my information & then told me she would contact the store owner and have them call me so I could replace the bag for free. That was over 2 weeks ago and have not heard from any one. Needless to say, I've thrown this bag in the garbage and I will not be purchasing any Clover Valley products again. Very disappointed in this brand, disappointed in the company and disappointed they do not truly guarantee the 100% happiness on the back of their bag like they supposedly 'guarantee.'
We have been purchasing Clover Valley Extra Butter Flavor Microwave popcorn for the past two years. After trying several brands it is the one we like best. We purchase sometimes two 12 pack boxes within a month. It is always fresh and pops up very well. Our concern is that because we buy so much and use our same movie popcorn container we have noticed over time the amount of the popcorn has dwendled quite a bit. The pack that use to fill our container 1/4 from being full to the top doen't anymore. Now when we pop the pack and fill our same container it is less than half full. Same price...slightly smaller packaging...much less product...without notice. It seems like companies are trying to sneak the concumer's less product for the same prices and we go ahead and make the purchases...I am just saying, we noticed.
Bought Dr.Topper from Dollar General opened it today and took a drink... Omg so gross and smells just like motor oil! Gross!
It does smell like oil never drinking it again I can't believe you're legally aloud to sell something that smells of oil what's left in my can I'm going to see if it's flamable!
I'm writing in regards to the white chicken salad by clover valley. I shop at dollar general everyday and I mean this I've always been the type of person that would stick to what I know, well I have been with a very tight budget and found myself with more family members to attend To.. So I decided that it was time to get the products that I could afford to feed everyone in my home, .. Now I am very disappointed in myself because I thought I was doing the right thing for my lil people's that's what I call my grand babies so anyway I was down to four dollars and some cents (I thought ) and bought some chicken salad in the can just to be able to feed the lil people and there it was a open can of idk mold is what it looks like... I am adding pictures for everyone to see.. Now that you know what kind of products that your company is producing and sending out into the world of lil people what do you intend to do about this...? I'm very disappointed in myself and your product, , if I would have just stuck to what I know then you would not be receiving this email and I would not be giving my lil people's a wishful sandwich! Dang you and I..!
I bought a 84.5oz clover valley orange pop. The use before date is BB Jan. 2016 kc1233. Well, I got sick. I still have an unopened one with ### in it.
I used to enjoy not puking since 1985. I probably will hire a lawyer and seek compensation. e-mail gotsickfrmclover@yahoo.com If you want to skip court and stuff e-mail me.
I bought a can of Clover Valley ready-to-eat chicken salad. It smelled a bit off, and there were three small rust spots on the inside of the lid. The can didn't appear to be damaged, but with the smell and the rust spots I couldn't bring myself to taste it. I've used Clover Valley products before, and they're usually fine (or at least comparable to name brands). I have noticed that package sizes are smaller these days.
Satisfaction garrented? I'm not satisfied with the popcorn. Half didn't even pop, and some was burned. I popped it exactly like it stated on the package. I am very disapointed. I would have bought several boxes of this. my address is 110 Ravenhurst Lane, Butler, Pa. if you want to answer ts.
I purchased the 9.5 oz can of fully cooked pulled pork for $2.79 a can. The can was not damaged. The product was fine and tasted great. No problem there. But, when I opened it, it looked as thought it was mostly water, so I drained off the water and weighed the meat on my dietary scale. ..5 oz. exactly! Five ounces of product and 4.5 ounces of water. That's ridiculous, almost half water. Back to the deli counter. Never again.
Most of these complaints are due to oversight in their local stores. As far as the numerous complaints about prices staying the same and the portions going down--well, that's how the market works. It costs them more to make the food than it used to years ago due to inflation. Sure, they could give you the same amount you're used to and raise the price, but most people don't have the mental capacity to realize why the cost of their beloved item they've bought for 8 years suddenly went up. Anyways, it's all business. Dollar General is not where I do all my shopping, but I like to go there when I don't feel like going to the big stores and only need a few items. I've always had good luck with their products.
First off Jordan Fontenot you should not insult people and make reference to their mental capacities when your own glass is only half full yourself . people understand that they were bait and switched . When you purchased something off a company for years and then they cut the product in half but use the same container with the simpleton remark " buyer beware " well that's just crappy business practice from a cheap-[censor] company . For people who actualy have a working pallete, you know not to buy clover valley products for they are even less quality than Aldis . These stores should never sell food products unless you can compare the flavor and all arround nutritious and health values, let alone texture of your entire product line, to other maufacturers without getting ripped off . I've used most of clover valley's products and return any item from this brand and company that enters my home . With such low standards of quality of food and the company showing us how much gmo crap they rely on let alone the questionable packaging process it's no wonder their sooo cheap . There is a reason most clover products have the ingredients list but no complaint or emergency contact number . Simply stated the government said you can't sell a food item without listing the ingredients . The FDA didn't force them to hear what a crappy product they put out from customers new (sadly) and old . Dollar general needs to put alternatives that are good on the shelf like they used to until they had to clear old clover valley stock one too many times while the worth while products sold out . Instead the DG by us in Cleveland, OH removed all the other stuff but was left with companies like clover valley and a few others that are just as cheap but I still wouldn't feed my cats or dog, and now we have even less of a choice . Anyone who defends this brand either has a damaged or burnt tongue or doesn't care about themselves or their family because in my widely excepted opinion their products are sub par at best and taste like it is over salted crap . That's fact people ... compare for yourself . Half of a good meal is quality of ingredients ... A fact lost in the clover valley headquarters wherever they may be . I say make the ceo and the first 20 top executives be forced to eat their own products for a month . I can gurantee that they probably unless stealing from their own company, won't have a single clover valley edible product in their home for their kids . But it's ok for everyone else ?! BTW if you spend the extra .50 cents to dollar for a good product you won't need "luck with their product" as it has a corporate image and reputation to keep up and wouldn't allow such horrible business practices in their companies because they give a crap about their product . The word beloved and clover valley ... LOL More like no other choice, stuck with, limited to, ect. . You have to either work for clover valley or DG, or your spouse does, to praise anything about either one of these blights on society . Otherwise I pitty you for being stranded in the middle of a food desert as well as I . I hope that your so isolated that you don't know quality ingredients . On the same note if you got these items for price point, being a cheapass MF, then you get what you get and no sympathy at all . P.S. were on a budget here of 200$ a month for 2 people for food and always throw out to prove a point or make my relative who had the hearing problem return the items right away .
I used to buy at least 2 boxes of Clover Valley raisin bran every week. Until I purchased a box that I thought was just redesigned. Nope. It was a box of what looked and tasted like cardboard flakes. SO disappointed! I've had to go back to Kellogs, even though the Clover Valley USED to be a much better product.
Clover Valley Chicken Breast with rib meat in water Distributed by Dolgencorp, LLC ; where is the chicken purchased to process for this product?

I just purchased the 24 pack of Clover Valley American sliced cheese and it wasn't individually wrapped, I'm wondering if this is normal. I usually only buy name brand cheese but they were out. Can someone please give me an answer before I throw it away?
Labels do not make any difference to me. I have been using the French Vanilla Creamer for years. With the new labels also came a change in the ingredients. It is no longer the rich taste it once had. Taste like regular cream now. I know you thought we would not notice but it is the only Creamer I would buy in the past 20 years. Usually I buy a dozen at a time. Now I look at stores for the older labels. Please fix this. Very disappointed. Labels don't matter, taste does.
Clover Valley's chocolate flavored syrup is advertised as 24 oz. but only contains 16 oz. Is this not false advertising?
I love shopping at Dollar General, but this Clover Valley food has got to be the nastiest ever. I ended up giving everything to my dog and some of it, he wouldn’t even eat. I do not see how this actually passes for eatable food, honestly.
I’ll still shop Dollar General but will NEVER purchase that brand again!
We got sick from their Clover Valley Dr Topper which is made by Dr Pepper. Our father almost died and they do not even care. Have any of you all gotten sick from it?
