During a time of widespread diversity we use secret shoppers to report on any issues good and less than favorable. I can report only that evening employees while yet doing a fairly good job, it may be a good time to review store policy and customer service skills. They would have no inclination the individual was anything other than a common shopper. All I am able to report is that your store #02497 could benefit from reviewing store policies and procedures.
By doing this retail stores avoid legal issues or general complaint in the future.
Employees are unaware of the shopper who reports anything of importance.
Our shoppers opinion of evening employees although somewhat favorable stated she would probably never shop at that location in her own opinion.
I’m a frequent patron of Dollar General and I’ve been in many of their stores all over the southeastern Arizona area, but I have never seen such a rude, disrespectful and unprofessional store manager as I did tonight. I thought I would have a look at the new Dollar General just south of Sierra Vista. I had no sooner walked through the door when I saw someone, who turned out to be the manager, chastise first an employee, then a customer, then, while rolling his eyes like a child, myself for not knowing that the self checkout was a card only device. As I walked out of the store, he started in on the employee again. Am I wrong or is that behavior not illegal? If an employee has earned a talking to, it should never be done in the front of the store in the presence of customers. Disgusting behavior by anyone, especially the manager!
