Miss Shoemate was my manager at Dollar General, my name is Barbara Zumalt. We worked together at store 13051 Shattuck Oklahoma. I recently had to take a leave of absence to be with my disabled daughter which Dollar General approved and Miss Shoemate thought I should have been fired over. Upon my return Miss Shoemate Fired me for coming from the back of the store to help another cashier with a long line and not wearing a mask, for leaving my keys in another register to help with a long line, and for leaving the store to take deposit being the only key holder. She gave me 3 write ups. I believe she was using prejudice as other employees have many more write ups against policy and still have there jobs. One employee took a 700.00 fraud scam call costing the store 700.00 and kept her job. Miss Shoemate does not open or close the store as is Manager position. She had me go to the store to investigate an alarm going off in the store which was her job as manager. She leaves for an hr to take a five minute deposit and I believe her firing me was purely discriminatory and I am seeking an attorney to sue Dollar General as I feel she wanted me out of that store the day she became manager and did all she could to end my employment after my leave of absence was approved to be with my disabled daughter. I am also filing harassment charges against Dollar General for her blatant misconduct and separation of tulles from one employee to another.
