We purchased Heartland Farms 2 separate times at 2 different locations . The first time we thought it was just may be a small tear in the bag that caused the issue off maggots and bugs of a variety. Which we notice immediately upon opening the bag of food.
We then called the store to let them know that other products might have been affected. We went on to buy the normal food that our 5 dogs normally eat (Pedigree).
On Friday11/17/2023, we were again looking for a less costly option to feed all 5 dogs only to find this morning 11/20/2023 upon feeding our dogs that the bag was again full of maggots. Over the weekend our dogs had been acting kind of strange pooping more and throwing up which was odd. We assume that maybe they had gotten in to something that had made them sick. For the 2 younger dog this was believable but for the 3 older dogs NO WAY!
I immediately called the Dollar General customer service number to make my complaint and thought I would post it hear as well because like I explained to the gentlemen on the phone these are not just our dogs THEY ARE OUR FAMILY!
Whatever you do DO NOT BUY anything Heartland Farms has to sell 😢😡
Claimed loss: We could have loss more than just a monetary $30 for 2 bags
Desired outcome: TAKE THIS OFF THE SHELF NOW!!!
My grandmother had the dog food stored in a cooler for dry keeping. This is what we found after she returned from vacation after one week. Whatever these worms are they are decomposing the food at a rapid rate. This cooler was filled to the top and if you can see in the picture the dry food has now turned to mush. I need someone to contact me about this complaint. This is WHAT'S KILLING OUR FUR BABIES 😡😡😡😢😢😢
