extremely poor customer service
I visited this store 9/27/09 around 11:35am. I ordered 2 donuts thru the drive thru. 1 donut was wrong and I noticed the donuts were put in the brown paper bag without being wrapped in the waxed paper. I parked the car and go inside the store to this matter corrected. I asked for the correct, which the manager (Bob Patel) gives me but he still puts the...

Recently I noticed that Dunkin Donuts are either creating unpublished prices or just plainly over charging customers. The first time I realized it was when I ordered a small black coffee with whip cream instead of cream, while at the Dunkin Donuts by Cederbrook mall on 309 in Philadelphia. They charged me .75 cents for whip cream. They never give you a receipt because they are either creating a price or adding additional charges not posted. The second time, I ordered a plain bagel with butter and was charged .50 cents for butter. Where are these prices posted? How are they regulated from store to store? Or is it just to cover the overhead needed to buy another Franchise. It's where ever you go, today 10/3/08, I was at the Dunkin Donuts in Camden, New Jersey (16 S. Broadway); I ordered Hash Browns (a side order). They are posted to sale for .75 cents. However, when told my total I was charged $1.38. I asked for a receipt, which took a minute and asking for it several times, it showed I was charged $1.29 plus .09 tax. Most of these stores are run and own by persons who do not speak English as their first language, so when you question them they pretend not to understand you. I wonder, at the end of the day what is the total of the additional profits from cheating customers all day? ASK FOR A RECEIPT AND SEE WHAT YOU ARE BEING CHARGED AS WELL AS JB (JUST BECAUSE) ADDED CHARGES!

refusal of refund on mistaken swipe of credit card
I have been going to this Dunkin Donuts every single day for 13 years, me & the manger are on a first name basis, I do not even place my order anymore she automatically knows what I order. I went in this morning and my order total came to $6.34, I gave the woman working there my debit card which she swiped and told me it declined, I asked her to retry the...

Every time I visit the Smyrna Dunkin Donuts or Baskin Robbins, no matter what time of day, i feel like I am in the middle of a school playground at recess. Rarely do I see a manager or authoritative figure present, the music is always set to play hard core rap and is inappropriately loud. i keep giving both stores chance after chance hoping things will improve-even after i spoke to a manager- blonde hair and a slim build. (no nametag, incoherent speech, said name was billy or bill. couldnt wait to get rid of me) nothing has changed. if anything, it has gotten worse. colleagues, friends and family of mine have given up on both establishments and now take their business elsewhere. there is no hierarchy or chain of command on either side. lots of profanity and cell phone use. elderly woman came into baskin robbins when i was there one night before closing; she was COMPLETELY ignored by young girls text messaging on their phones and i heard, loud and clear, 1 or 2 employees complain about the "###ed people that come in right before we close". the elderly woman heard this and walked out with a disheartened look on her face. 2 female employees that i believe arrived for work around 10:00pm, were the only staff members i had ever encountered there to express genuine concern and helpful solutions to my complaints- and managed to not speak negatively about any other employees. they were professional, pleasant, personable...now, i've made it a habit to bring my patronage to dunkin donuts ONLY after the interior part is closed. i know i can expect consistent, speedy and all around exceptional service from the bakers, which is unfortunate, because every experience should be consistent and at least satisfactory. i have had to adjust my daily schedule around my late night visits...which i look forward to 4 times a week. i only wish i could feel that way ANY time of day, regardless of which employees are working.

You really need to call the corp number, but remember that they franchize it out. The number to Corp for Dunkin Donuts is [protected]. The number for Baskin Robins is [protected]. Try those, but remember that even if they use the same space they are seperate companies. Have tha address for them and any names that you know. Plan what you are going to say before you call. You dont hav e to be mean to be understood. If you are calm and have facts, dates and names it will be easier for you and them. Most companies take this kind of thing very seriously, so you WILL be heard. :) One bad emplyee/manager doesn't mean the company is bad. But your voice is what they need to take care of bad situations. So give em a call :)
e. coli/salmonella cover up
Upper management and packaging/shipping warehouses trying to keep e. Coli contamination quiet, stating to customers they are "temporarily out of stock" of dunkaccino, white chocolate, and hot chocolate. Statewide news broadcast in late june, 2009, did a story about aforementioned beverages being contaminated w e. Coli and/or salmonella due to negligent, careless packaging and shipping from northeast hub. Products were left in the machine long before and after contamination news broke to public. Employees were instructed to lie to customers if they inquired about this issue by telling them "those products never left the truck" and "no trace of said contaminated product was anywhere in the store"... When in reality, the hot chocolate machine was stocked up with the contaminated powder, only 4 feet away from the inquiring customer.

poor service and product
Basically i've tried every dunkin donuts in chelsea and they always either get my order wrong or coffee taste like sweet water with milk. Yuck! The dd at bellingham square was winning my favor in regards to taste (Even though I always have to make sure they serve my coffee correctly) until recently that their coffee has been tasting watery as well. Its either watery or taste re-heated. Once in a while I am served fresh coffee which taste soo good, rich coffe with just enough milk yummy. Anyway I don't understand why the coffee doesn't taste the same every time. Don't they have a measuring spoon or cup where they can never go wrong with how much coffee to put in their coffee maker? I am really considering trying other places like honey dew's but the problem is that there isn't any close by. Meanwhile in tiny tiny little chelsea there's about 6 dd's and they all stink. = (I'm not a happy camper! I was trying to send a complaint directly to dd website, but I couldn't find where, I just want them to know this so that they can so something about it and everyone can enjoy a well made coffee, not a cup of water with milk and a hint of coffee coloring.

Buy yourself a coffee maker. Problem solved.
Why not buy their bag coffee and make your own?
awful food
Danesh, the manager of Dunkin' Donuts' hired most of the employees who come from his native land gujrat, india, he always talking with them in gujrati language that is really disturbing for the other employees and for the guest. He always favor those employees, for example: he make their schedule 8 hour a day, but on monday one of them work only 5 hour but she is paid for 8 hour. The manager and the other employees talking and laughing in front of the guest and make fun of the other employees. The manager never let one of his gujrati employee to do the side job and to make the sandwiches. So, its very hard to work with them for the employees.

We went their last night (01/08/10) about 8 pm... The manager and the employee was talking stupid stuffs about my friends body infront of me b/c they didnt kno dat I m her friend... Then he didnt give my five dollar back... And told stupid stuffs... That manager or shift leader shouldnt do that... Could u plz take some action about that?
I didn't see her name on her name tag but there is a Dunkin' Donuts employee that yells at me every time I go there! Obviously she doesn't like it when I hand her coupons. Today she said in a nasty tone that the coupon wasn't for this store but it said it was for Dunkin' Donuts throughout Nassau and Suffolk county! Then she scanned the coupons. When she swiped my debit card, she did it angrily and didn't give me a receipt and she kept giving me dirty looks! She's been nasty to me a total of three times whenever she's there and takes my order! I don't feel like going there anymore being treated that way and I was never mean to her or any of the employees there at all.
On jan 31, 2017, I received a dunkin donuts gift certificate booklet with 21 free cups of coffee. I was so happy to use it because I loved drinking dunkin donuts coffee. I decided to use one of my gifts certificates at the dd on 179-15 hillside ave. When I tried to redeem it, the employees told me that had to show them the boklet. I didn't walk with the booklet because I didn't want to lose it. I explain it to them but the said I had to buy it. I asked to speak to the manager because I didn't see anything writting on the certificate that I needed to bring the entire booklet. His excuse was that the employees were returning the certificate to the customers and the the customers were reusing it. The first thing that came to my mind was, "that was not my problem". I told him that he need to train his staff and that he should not penalized the customers for his employees ethical behavior. He got pissed off and began yelling at me. When I asked for a phone number to complain. He told me the f*k*g number is agianst the wall. I left the store and dialed the number and he picked up the phone. I was so pissed off that I could not complian to someone who would tell him that he is wrong for treating me or any other customer the way he did. I will no longer shop at dd because they do not allow there customers a chance to complain on the managers.
Every time I visit the Dunkin' Donuts in Hackensack NJ on Hudson street they charge me a different price. I order the same thing all the time, one toasted butter bagel. Three weeks ago they charged me $1.29, last week they charged me $1.39, today they charged me $1.49. What's up with that? I mentioned that to them and they just told me to keep my receipt. Um...and what do I do with it? Another thing...when I get my order many times it's incorrect. Today my bagel was not toasted, last week they gave me a croissant instead of a bagel and that's not the only time, numerous times my order is incorrect as well as the pricing. This particular Dunkin Donuts is run by Asians, maybe they don't understand English? I don't get it but I'm not happy with the service there at all.
I always have the worst experiences at The Dunkin Donuts in hempstead. They have the worst workers that do not know anything. I order the same thing every morning. I order a toasted Cinnamon raisin bagel wtih cream chese and jelly and a small tea. Every morning they give me a plain bagel with butter and a large hot chocolate. At first i thought they were giving me someone elses order but it happens all the time. Other people say they do the same thing to them. Its like they give you what ever they feel like giving you. When you take it back u get nothing but an attitude. They try to rush u like you have just inconvienienced them. When you ask to speak to the manager they always say he will be in later. I hate that place but it is the only one around with a drive through and really the only place like it.
The same thing used to happen to me until I stopped going to Dunkin Donuts. I'd go to the same one in Toms River, NJ at least twice a week. I'd order the exact same thing: toasted bagel with cream cheese. I'd get charged a different price every time, and when I finally brought it up to them, they got irate and said to show them receipts next time. Well that's great and all, but when I started asking them for my receipts (because they never give them to you), they would get very annoyed as if it required a lot of extra work on their end.
Also, my order would often be messed up (wrong item/not toasted). Also, they'd often just put a little scrape of cream cheese where you'd barely notice any was there. This is true of other Dunkin Donuts around here as well. SAME problems.
The other problems are language barrier and attitude. Once, the woman got incredibly annoyed and told me to "hurry up" as I was giving her money. They don't tell you the cost of the order, nor do they give you any signal that they've taken down your order and that it's time to move to the next window, so of course you're racing to get the correct change out when you pull up to the window and they finally tell you the price. When I suggested, very kindly-even after being scolded to hurry up, that they should mention the price after taking down your order, I had the window shut on me.
This is not a complaint of minorities owning the store; this is a complaint of the service provided at many of these stores. I don't care who's serving me as long as they provide decent service.
Have the corporate heads addressed these problems at all?
coffee tastes like dirty water
The coffee tastes weak and like it is made w/dirty water. I work in a large company and quite a few people here have said it is disgusting and will not go there again. I called and told the manager the coffee was not good. We won't be going there anymore. It is gross! Don't know if a new manager or owner, but a few weeks ago there was never an issue w/their coffee. It used to be great.

I love Coffee and have never had a bad cup from Dunkin. I buy Dunkin hole beens and grind them my self and they have the greatest Jelly Donuts! You sound like a cronic complainer who would complain if it was raining 10 dollar bills because they were not 20's. Foo to you!
stale/bad food
No matter when you go to the DD in Altoona on Plank Road, they are out of what ever it is you order. For instance, tonight we went through drive through and no matter what we ordered, they were either out or only had one or two left. This was out of a dozen donuts that we were ordering. I finally, exasperated, asked them if they still made their products fresh. The girl got snippy and snapped "he's ready to begin making some now!" Well, "he" was no where NEAR ready, as we could see "him" through the window, and "he" was flirting with the only customers in the store, greasy looking hair in his face, not even in a net!
We spent over $20.00 on some of the STALEST and nastiest donuts we have ever tasted, and intend to report this store to the health department first thing in the morning.
I don't remember ever tasting fresh donuts out of this store!

I purchase a muffin and iced coffee every morning at the same Dunkin Donuts located on Long Pond Road in Plymouth, MA. On two different occasions my muffin has been under cooked. I asked the girl to make sure my muffin was cooked this morning before she gave it to me and all I received was attitude. Then when I got to the window to pay they over charged me by .21 cents. When I told her that every morning I pay $3.24 she told me I was wrong and the price is the price. Nice customer service! In this economy I would want my employees to be nice to every customer and make sure that the food I prepare for them is cooked! What a way to start out a morning.

On Saturday May 16/2009 I ordered two breakfast sandwich. Sausage, egg, cheese on a bagel. She replied differently saying “bacon … something” I asked to tell what order she was making, she replied “you talk and I will tell you are right Ok?” and was wrong of course. Ok trying to be patient with them, she makes other sandwiches. I was about to pay, and I reach there tips cup for a pennies to help her change, (I always tip them) she starting yelling that was her money, I explain I just going to help on change I will put back plus my tip, she still screaming and grab the tip cup and hold on it. I keep calm got my change, and told her she was rude to me, Oh my GOD! She was so rude that I wondered if I had accidentally offended her (though I am not sure what I did!)
She starting yelling call me names in her language, saying I was RUDE one, and that was HER MONEY, I was STUPID … and I don’t know what else, the other lady (who was preparing my order) asked her what’s going on, I don’t know what she reply’ cause was in their language, this lady came to me throw my bag on the counter (the order wasn’t the right one, and without ketchup, salt, pepper and napkins) and she yell to me “NEVER COME BACK TO MY STORE…blah (in their language) … I was in shock,
I walk to Shop Rite Customer Service to make my complain, but they say nothing they could do about it.

US is open for so many immigrants to live in harmony in an auspicious Land, we gave them business and a dignify life here, and they act like that?
Without sounding racist; they are so mistrusting of every other race, and hiding behind the "no speak English" theme; I wonder why people from India so rude (the ones that I have come across here)? They
have no regard for personal space and will stand touching you, they also bump into you without a word of apology.
Maybe they have low self esteem, and they freeze up and make small situations awkward? Very, very sad. I always admired Gandhi for his sweetness and philosophy, but some of his people, what a shame!

Went to buy a latte and flatbread sandwich. Got latte and moved to end of line to pick up sandwich. Employee had a plastic glove on right hand, none on left. Coughed and sneezed on right hand than reached to pick up my sandwich and wrap it and hand to me all using her left hand. I could not take this so I told her and she quickly put on a glove on her left hand. I told the manager who threw the sandwich in the trashm and made me another himself than said something to the girl in spanish than she picked up a broom and started to sweep the floor. So she goes from one to chore to another and never washes her hands and has filthy hygeine habits as well. GROSS!

The manager (danesh) of dunkin' donuts' located on 245-01, bellerose, ny 11426, hired some of the employees who come from his native land gujrat, india. During the shift, they always talking in their native language that really disturbing for the other employees and the guest. The manager also favor those gujrati employees, for example: he make scheduale 8 hour a day for one of them on the schedule sheet but she always leave after 5 hour of her shift. The manager never let those gujrati employees make the sandwich, they just stay on the registrar, they never do the side job because of that the other employees who are not from gujrat have to make the sandwich for all of the day, she or he has to do all of the side jobs. Hello I work for a dunkin donuts in Pittsfield NH.Where myself as well as some of my co-workers are picked on and yelled at on a daily basis. We cannot do anything right we"ve tried contacting the district manager explainig how people are treated but nothing ever happens. We work eight to ten hour days and never get a break. When we're schedueled to leave for the day she lays guilt trips on you.Shes always hanging on the customers and will share our personal business with others..Is there more that I can do?
I agree with your complain because we see that most of the manager of Dunkin' Donuts' hired the employees who from his own country or from his own region. As a result they gossip too much during the shift, which bother the guest.

Read full review of Dunkin' Donuts and 1 commentstore coupon was not accepted
I’m inquiring about an incident at Dunkin Donuts on February 17, 2009 at 250 Broadway, NYC location. I had a Dunkins Donuts coupon for a “FREE medium Dunkaccino”. When I handed the coupon to the cashier, he said, I had to make a purchase in order to use coupon. I told him that coupon indicates “no purchase necessary”. He replied “this is our store rule”. I just left the store without saying another word to avoid any further conflict. The coupon doesn’t say “store policy rules vary by location”.
I am very disappointed about this issue for the simple reason that on the coupon it clearly states no purchase necessary only. I don’t see why I should be given a hard time for a free drink per my coupon. You should have some type of announcement placed against the wall for customers to view regarding store or coupon policy’s perhaps that would be helpful.

forcing to buy before using the restroom
I was a customer who bought a breakfast combo at Dunkin Donuts at 8th Ave between 23 and 24th Street in front of NYSportsClub. I was about to use the restroom but the restroom is locked. The guy in front of me thought that someone is inside. So I asked the cashier if the restroom is available. The guy from the cashier even asked me if I bought something already which somehow makes me feel a little bit insulted. Although I said "Yes, and you haven't even give me any receipt on what I bought..." So the guy asks the key to his manager and the manager is about to open the restroom when he asked the guy whose waiting first before me if he is a customer and bought something already. The guy was pissed off and said "I'm about to buy something if you let me use the bathroom first and wash my hands..." The manager said "you can't use the restroom unless you buy something first..." Is this justifiable for a fastfood that is so busy and yet force someone to buy something first before using the restroom? The restroom doesn't even have a note saying "Restrooms are for customers only!" Or I haven't seen any policy written in the store that if you are about to use the restroom, you should buy something first. Which is more important, worry the customers who'se about to buy something in the store or worry about someone who would like to use the restroom if he or she bought something already? There are only 2 staffs and one manager on that store and people are waiting in line to buy something yet, the manager is wasting his time to force the guy to buy something first before using the restroom. So, if you want to use the restroom very badly and the line is very long before you can buy something does the manager's polciy is justifiable for a patron of this food chain?
