Online ordering/payment
I had a terrible online ordering experience with East Side Mario's on April 12, 2021, and then again on April 23, 2021. I tried to place an online order and kept getting an error message that the order hadn't gone through. I kept trying and trying and every time got the same error message. The whole time, they were actually withdrawing the money from my bank account with each "unsuccessful order." It adds up to $612.56 just from my bank account and whatever amounts came out of my credit cards and my daughter's bank account. I don't have those numbers on hand (waiting for bank statements) but the company must. My email addresses associated with my orders are [protected]@yahoo.ca AND [protected]@gmail.com.
They replied to my initial complaint but not the others. They said they were reversing the charges but that it could take my bank up to 30 days. I've spoken twice to them at the toll-free number and filed my complaint directly on their website and then several more times through email, which they have been ignoring.
Their offer to make up for the trouble was a measly $20 credit (about 3% of all the money withdrawals), which can only be used online and they aren't processing my online orders yet still making the withdrawals.
I know there's not much I can do while I wait for my bank to reverse the charges, which is very frustrating because I don't have over $600 just laying around to waste.

Desired outcome: As for a resolution, I want a much bigger credit and I need a paper copy because I will never ever order online from them again.
Food quality
Last night my Grandson went to get take out for us for dinner. The chicken parmigiana was burned badly and they put it on the bottom. I work in Hospitality Services and the quality of the meal that was sent to us should never have left that kitchen. If that is done with all meals I don't understand how you are still in business. I honestly think it was an honest mistake but either someone touched seafood then touched my food, or it was food poising.. I am thinking more someone didn't wash their hands before dealing with my food as I am the only one that got sick Thursday night right after eating in the brantford restaurant!
All I ask is that you talk to your staff about cleaning their hands when preparing different meals as many people are very very allergic to seafood and this situation could have been worse.
I do not want anything out of this just a reminder to staff to be safe
Food quality
We waited for over an hour for our food to be delivered. Everything was cold; half full, had no sauce and we were missing extra containers of cheese that we paid for. We have tried to call the Upper James East Side Mario's three times since last night, Sat., Nov. 14/20, but no one ever answers and we are just waiting on the line for half an hour each time.

I order from east side north bay ontario, may times and I realize right now with covid 19 no one wants to be at work but you are so do you job! My mother is a nurse if she went to work and didnt do her job you could die so its time grow up! We orders our meals we alway order... March 3rd, 2020 - My family and I went to East Side Mario's for my son's birthday, upon arriving we were quickly seated which was great - best thing to happen for the whole visit.
there were 5 adults our party, we waited probably 10-15 minutes to be greeted by a server, then an additional 10-15 minutes for our drinks. Our order wasn't taken until close to 25 minutes of being there.
We were seated in a back booth with our backs to the kitchen, the table and area was infested with fruit flys, it was disgusting. When our salads came, they were tomatoes that were sliced and looks like they had been out for a couple days, the soup was cold and the flys got worse getting into out food and drinks. We spoke to a manager as our server didn't seem to be interested in moving us, we moved to another table off to the side of the restaurant abandoning out drinks, salad, and bread. The flys were still around but not as abundant. When out meals came we ate and left, it was a horrible experience and disappointing as East Side Mario's has been a staple for my family.
Truly it was disappointing and I will never go back there.

All ordered the BOGO dinners
First I started my meal with a glass of wine... The glass had lipstick marks all around the rim. Then I ordered my dinner this is what I had ordered...Roasted Tomato & Goat Cheese Spaghettini Olive oil, garlic, white wine, roasted grape tomatoes topped with goat cheese, chillies and fresh basil. I added chicken to it. This was not at all what I got, I got spaghetti in a tomato sauce with chicken in it. I complained they took it back and out together a spaghetti with wine sauce... no olive oil, basil or chillies.
The restaurant was very busy and short staffed, my waitress kept apologizing as she was working by herself. The manager was not very helpful when sending back my meal. And when she came back to see if it was better I still said no but I was hungry and the rest of my family was half way through dinner. Our appetizer Budda Bombs came out with our meal. This was the location on Dixon Rd in Etobicoke. I was with my son and grandmother. $100 meal ruined and wasted.

I love East Side Mario's . My local one is Hamilton on Upper James.
I am shocked and jump out of my seat when that horrid female voice comes on your latest TV ad. Ads don't serve a purpose when they have to be tuned out, or channel switch. Of course the ad repeats frequently during sports.
Oh she is on now...YIKES.
