the customer service from manager on two visits
I go to this store regularly so I didn't see this manager before, I always used digital coupons with no problem but on two days with her on staff she was rude, I asked about spiritual cross word puzzles, she said we don't have any, I was waiting for her to say can i order them for you, or put a order for me, but she said nothing, I told her I have digital coupon and wanted two packs of cigarettes she said ok, she had trouble scanning them both so she tried to put the code in by hand it worked but she gave me the meanest looks a person can get, so the next time I went in, I had a different cashier without her there they did it fine, now the third time I went in it was a different cashier and he asked her can he scan it ? She said ONLY ONE I know better because I'm a cashier and all the family dollar do it but her, I hope someone talk to her and let her know someone know what she did and if I get the same treatment again I will take further steps to report her
rude clerk and assistant manager
The female clerk named Gloria cole yelled at us to stop bouncing a small tennis ball my son had and we complied. She made my parents embarrassed how she yelled over customers at us so they quickly paid and left. When I came to front I could not turn into a isle due to two baskets in the way I did not yell or be rude and asked if they could move them she ignored me and continued talking to the assistant manager named Greg. I asked again and she slowsly came from behind counter and laughed out loud saying some people thing they are soooo cute and Greg also started laughing loudly. She continued to talk to Greg how ppl don't know who she is or not to mess with her cause she don't care what will happen and Greg continued to laugh. She started making other customers paying turn around and try and see who she was talking too. Once I got up to counter she left and slammed office door and Greg said it is what it is. My husband was on speaker and wasn't telling me why do these ppl work in customer service if they can't deal w ppl or work. Greg laughed and once I put my video on him he quit smiling and gave me corporates number. I am beyond embarrass and feel threatened by her comments.
a fall in store
I was a customer in your store on 9-14 2017 I was headed to the checkout counter I saw a yellow spill sign over to my right over a large puddle of chemical of some sort I proceeded to head to counter there was no sign over where I was walking however the spill apparently splattered a thin line he didn't see as I walked I slept on the chemical that was splattered I fell hitting my left four leg on the cards right leg bending behind me as I fell to my knee however there was two employees that came to help me up there was a third employee behind me unpacking boxes I spoke to manager she called the district manager they gave me a number to call I called as soon as I left the store which the call was never answered so I called again once I got home I stayed on that phone call for about an hour call was never answered so I did online complaint
employee attitude
I visited the Family Dollar store in Fairmount, Indiana at 2pm on Sept.14, 2017. There were 2 employees in the store, a girl named Alicia and an older gentleman with longer gray unkempt hair, and I was the only customer. The man was complaining loudly about corporate sending "all this crap" to the store when they already had 53 cases of the same stuff, and they sent 3 more. I don't know if he was training the girl, but he was taking her to different locations in to store, to show her how they had stuff "that has been here for 3 weeks and no one is buying it, it's just taking up shelf space". The girl said nothing, just followed him. I left the store without making a purchase after a few minutes.
The Family Dollar store in Fairmount is new, and we as a small town are very happy to have it here. This man does not reflect a positive light on the Family Dollar Store. The store needs employees who make the store have a good image.

It has been about two weeks ago but I have been busy with my father and have not had time to submit this I was in your store in Monticello Ms. First it was so hot in the store you could not stand to shop in it than they had a radio playing so loudly at the checkout you could not hear your self think . There is one young man in the whole store that is very polite and willing to help the rest of the store you could fire and start over . This use to be my favorite store to shop in Monticello but now I will not be back in there until I hear improvements have been made in the help and comfort of the store I am not going to shop were it is hotter inside than it is outside and my business is not appropriated

This store is a brand new on it just opened while shopping in the store I noticed that there was no employees around me and another gentleman try to check out we stood there for 20 minutes until two females walked in from outside smelling like marijuana and putting Visine in their eyes finally we were able to check out and I found it to be disgusting that anyone could walk into that store and steal while your employees are outside smoking weed and not caring about the store or as employees are presenting themselves this makes your brand look horrible and I'm pretty sure if you keep employees like this your store will be will be closing soon. Also know that half your merchandise was in boxes and not even put on the shelves and you guys have been open for over a month.

I'm currently an employee at the Family Dollar in wotcwster, Ma in 835 main street and I'm filing a complaint because of a situation where there was discrimination involved. My ID number is 1229320. My name is Keyana Owens. I've been with your company since August 23rd of this year. After the discrimination situation, Todd couture my boss for that family dollar store gave me the week off starting 9/11/17 -9/17/17 and said he would let me know my schedule for next week yesterday on Wednesday 9/13/17 but never reached out. I called multiple times and still got nothing. I got an answer once and that's when I was told I'd get a schedule for next week. I didn't want to have to post here but I'm being treated poorly and this company is unprofessional and the store itself is a health and safety hazzard.

Hello my name is Nafisa and I'm a resident of the Town of Windsor, I visited family dollar today because I needed a lock for college. I went to checkout and I was in the process of checking out. Meanwhile I was speaking to my cashier (Shannon) and I asked her who's the manager of this store and she said he's in the back. As we were speaking a Spanish short skinny lady with gold round hoops in her ears turns around gives me attitude and says to me "what is she looking for" I said to her in a kindly manner "is there a problem, I'm just speaking to her" as soon as I said that she snapped at me. She started yelling at me so loud literally in front of 4 other customers. I kindly said to her several times can you please calm down. She kept yelling. So I quickly checked out and left. As I was leaving the store I heard her cursing me out.
This short skinny Spanish lady is an employee of this local family dollar store.
Shannon saw the entire scene the owner can ask her or pull up the scene via CAMERAS.
So I called the store later on today and I asked my kind cashier Shannon did she say anything about me? She mentioned to me that the Spanish skinny lady called me a "stupid [censored]"
I can't deal with this. This is very disrespectful and I think family dollar should do something about this.

I am complaining about a manager, with an attitude, at a store that would not honor a coupon.
I was in the 10219 University City Blvd. Charlotte NC store tonight around 6:15. I was trying to purchase Charmin toliet paper. I had a clipped coupon for a 4ct or larger. I had a roll of 6 ct. When I put in my phone number it would not take the $1 off. Even from the beginning the manager, Chaperrl had an attitude. She was arguing with me that she would only honor the coupon, which said 4ct or larger. She had an employee to go get a 4ct to see if it would take the $1 off of that. It did. She continued to argue with me, with an attitude, that she would only honor what the coupon stated. I pointed out again that it says 4ct or larger. She even wanted to me get her name to make sure I complained. That is the second time at the same store that the clipped coupon did not work. However, the first time the manager did honor the clipped coupons on my phone. I doubt I will go back to that store. I may even delete the app on my phone. It does not work the way it should. And then, there are employees that are not kind to the customer. I will purchase some place else that does not argue with customers and treat them with kindness.
potholes in the side small road way
My name is Freida, August 31, 2017 it was raining heavily and family dollars store #00075 in Lincolnton N. C has a side road which isn't very big. I've been driving through there for many years. There's no type of signs warning people of the potholes, do not enter, or enter at your own risk, etc. However, that particular day I go through and doing everything possibly to miss the potholes, due to the heaviness of the rain, not realizing how close I was and hit the pothole. I reported it to the manger on last week, but he tells me some type of story what someone else did. I didn't care about that. Well twice I mention it again. Today September 12, 2017 I told him how bad hitting the hole knocked my car out of line, which I explained before. I go to this store almost every day . He sort of makes jokes such as I'm not paying to get your car fixed. I told him I would get in touch with the cooperation. I believe family dollars should be held countable to fix my car. It weren't like this happen on purpose. If they don't want to be reliable for such responsibilities then I suggest signs to be put up. I do have a few pictures if you send me your email address. While shopping this evening in your store a notice a manager correcting an employee, but the way she did it was wrong. From 2 aisles over, she was criticising everything the other employee did. So this means she is yelling across the store where everyone can hear. If she has an issue with the employees work, this should be addressed in private not where every customer in the store can witness it.

Hello today September 12, 2017 this afternoon did my shopping at the store went to cashier to check out me and my husband, somy husband was placing idems on counter talking with the cashier. And he didn't pay attention that he had put the milk on the counter twice I though I didn't buy two milks I told the cashier you know I think my husband place the milk up twice on the counter because he was talking and putting the stuff in the cart I told him to place in a shopping bag but he told me its ok it doesn't need a bag so that's how he placed twice on the counter I did charged for two but the manager was standing next to the chashier that had wrang us up and looked at the receipt and said no you were only charged for one so I appozide said I though she had wrong it up twice so sorry and walk out of store as I walked out I then looked at receipt and did see that it was wrong up twice walked back in store and let the manager know that indeed it was charged twice, so she gave me back the money for the milk andi let her it wasn't there fault it was my husband fault for not paying attention.As I was walking away she said next time I will have to watch you guys I didn't say anything, just looked like what did she just say not only that she also laughed and said maybe he is a donkey.I looked her and smiled I New what I was going to do instead of making a scene and saying something insaulting like her I was just going to make a complaint, so I called to the store and asked who could I call to talk to someone higher up than her she gave me this number [protected] to Arlington, Texas associate to Family dollar store I told her i was going to let them know about her and said Thank you and I hung up. store always closed
Signs in the window saying closed register down going on for years now. Manager is just plain rude...Her name is Martha. Cheryl is the District Manager and is best Friends with Martha, this is why her store gets away with locked doors to stock store with signs stating registers down. I know of at least 10 people that refuse to step in this store as long as she is manager...Other Family Dollar store employees from other stores complaint as well to customers that is is not fair Martha can get away with what she is doing. Employees even lock the doors on customers that back their cars into the parking space...Go to google reviews and see all the bad reviews. Thank you so much. We need this store back for the community so we are all welcomed...I spend all my money now at the Dollar General right around the corner..Family Dollar is losing out. I'm going to be making a complaint to BBB and Attorney General and other websites since nothing has been done. First off this store management and associates are very professional except this one associate who is described as young with a terrible attitude. I walked inside no one is at the register but I can hear him on his cell 2 aisles over, I grabbed my hair color kit which is located at the front of the store, two other customers came behind me, I then rang the bell only because I was on way to work, he then came out the aisle shaking his head and mumbling something as if I wasn't suppose to ring the bell. I said nothing he rang my merchandise up and the total was $4.09 I gave him $5.10 He then open his draw and handed me a $1.00 I just stood there and he then said "What? Oh, you want your penny back damn, most people say yo, you could keep it " I then said well let me have the chance to offer it to you before you assume I'm just giving it to you. He then said " well then here i'll give you your penny "I said thanks and you don't have to talk to me like that, his response was very cold he said "men, whatever yo' aight, what ever have a good day" I said wow you shouldn't talk and try to ridicule a customer like that. I then looked and notice it all was on tape and I tried to call but the wait was to long. This not the first time someone had a incident with this same clerk.

The store is a mess there are things all over the place under the shelves and not were they are suppose to be cold food is not in coolers they are just laying on shelves. The workers don't do anything but stand around up front and dont even try to clean up the store. The floors look like they have not been cleaned in years. Not a very good place to shop. They is only two white females in the store that I always see working and doing there best to keep the store as clean and best for people to shop. But with out a team effort the two girls can't do it on there own they are very hard working lady's and need to be told how good they are doing. The one girl has been here awhile and the other girl just came back and the store needed that. The company should be very lucky to have to hard working people with them. This store has gone down hill very quickly! BRING MATT BACK! Young lady DEGRADES and talks bad about other employees while customers are in the store & USES FOUL LANGUAGE. She sits at the FRONT of the store on here cell phone and you can not get any service out of her other then to take your money. She is outside alot and she can't even keep the outside neat. I am down in that store every day buying stuff and I dread going down now because I do not know if I am going to fall over the boxes or palates that are left in the middle of the floor. She complains about having to work to your customers. PLEASE BRING MATT BACK! I would love to say that young man has a purpose with your business NOT THIS YOUNG LADY!

Every time I enter the family dollar, I get harassed by the manager. He usually asks me if I am getting money back, and if I am, he says he's going to ban me. And on a separate occasion, my friend and I came into the store, getting money back, and that same employee was working the register. He complained the whole time about me getting money back, and said, "I hope you burn, "as we walked out the door. (because it was hot outside at the time). But it was still very rude, I try my hardest to avoid that store now. The employees name is David Salazar.

September 11th 2017 I went to the Family Dollar to return some headphones and it broke. when I walked in there I went up to the register and asked if I could get my money back for the headphones. I had my receipt and I have brought the headphones back also. Well as soon as I open the bag the store manager came in screaming that she was not going to return my money. She told me that she refused to take them back and while all this is going on the the person on the cash register is laughing. And I asked her what's so funny and she continued to laugh that's so you think it's as if you think it's funny that I had to lose my money and I get my items that I paid for. when I asked if the store manager for the number to the main office she refused to give it to me. Now I fear if you die if you continue to refuse me or my money I will contact the Better Business Bureau and let them know what kind of business Family Dollar's running. I didn't appreciate that all I wanted to do is get my money back that's it it was $5.41. If anyone at Family Dollar main office can contact me I would truly appreciate it. maybe I can get better results from you all that I did from a store manager and they're that employee. I've always enjoyed shopping at Family Dollar but this incident ruined it. If I if I'm going to have problems like this trying to return something that broke.
