not being able to purchase my items due to them not having change for $100.
I wanted to purchase a few items but I only had $100 and yes my ourchase was inky totaling alittle over $11. That was the inly thing I had. The register operator told me that she couldnt change. I also went to the managers office where there were 3 ppl in the office and the manager told me if I buy $50 worth of items then she could give me change. Clearly I didnt need $50 worth of items and I know sometimes its hard to change large bills but I work at wawa and there is never a problem. If someone at the register doesnt have it the manager will gladly change it for the customer. I coukd not get the items I wanted and they did not do anything to help me.

I have shopped at the family dollars store in Amelia Ohio and have found the stores digital coupon system does not work. I was in on Sunday, Sept 10th and tried using the digital couple where you buy $15.00 of P&G and you get $5.00 off. I purchased 3 bundles of Scott toilet paper and one laundry basket. The toilet paper $5.25 which put me over the $15.00. When checking out the cashier showed me where on her computer it reflected the $5.00 off but it did not come off in the total. When I questioned it they told me there was nothing they could do. When I mentioned they there was also another cashier that looked at it also. I told them I understood their position but was going to call the corp office she said good luck with that, they never fix anything. This has happened to me on four different occasions. It is become a waste of my time to shop at Family Dollar. I have also sent through e-mail the same complaint 6 months or more before on the same issue. Nothing happened. I left with a refund of money and did not buy any products. I am sure this is not what you want but shopping at Family Dollar is definitely not my favorite place to shop. I apologize for being for lengthy but I am very disappointed and frustrated. Thank you for your time.

Two different instances have happened at this store. My husband a black male applied for an open position and the manager proceeded to tell him that it had been filled when in fact it hadn't. A woman who also applied for the job after him was given the job and others were hired too. I stil continue to shop at this store because I live 2 minutes away and my work is right behind it as well. I went to the store and as I was checking out I realized I didn't want an item and asked my friend who was not checking out to put the item back, the store manager proceeded to reach over the counter and take the item out of my hand as if we weren't really going to put it back. I am very offended and someone who treats their customers like this should not be in charge. I will NOT continue to shop at this store.

Went to family dollar during hurricane was cursed out by employee or store manager. In front of store full of customers b3cause she wanted to close store before scheduled time denying customer access. Cashierwas rude made me take my own recipt from register told me to get it myself. The employee who cursed me was behind register in shorts not in business attire complained about the item purchased which was none of her business many other customers denied access during the approach of hurricane

I went into the family dollar store on 8/08/17 to use the public restroom I have a major emergency and they were the closest that had a bathroom I go in asked. If I could use restroom unaware that u had to have a key I walked back there to go and it was locked causing me to have an accident in my pants so I had to then buy a pack of 5 dollar underwear pack just to use the only pair in it throwing the other 2 pairs away due to them being colored and no u don't carry all white in any of them so I had to settle for that and go back to bathroom so I could clean myself up all due to the fact that the employees were too busy jaw jacking with friends and other wmployees than to be doing their jobs I am very disappointed in yours all customer service at the store I am sick and didn't need to deal with this today store # 00574

I would like by beginning with I have received to separate survey opportunities from shopping at my local family dollar store #11527. My wife has also had he inability to d her survey as well as one of my neighbor's. Making this a total of five surveys that can not be completed per the code on the receipt.
The system states the code is not recognized. I have placed a complaint with the attorney general in my state for false recognition and advertising. On the behalf that you can enter a contest and win and that the customers opinion on his or her visit is being acknowledge where it is not.
I had two separate encounters on different days, One of which was with a manager, who stated his name was Luis and the other young lady refused to give as much as her first name. Why employees at your business do not wear name tags is unethical. As a consumer shopping at a major chain I should have the right to know whom I am interacting with for my safety. Anyone could pose as a employee with your company at this rate.
I am advised that Family Dollar is in partnership with Dollar Tree or may be owned by them, they in fact do wear name tags.
On September 3, 2017 at 10:13 a.M. I bought several items from location # 11527 at 7301 S Western Ave, Lois Angles, CA 90047 where I went back into the store after realizing I have no need for a item I purchased which is a lunch bag valued at $8.00. I was waiting at the register after handing over my receipt to the young lady. She had already verified my return was listed on my receipt seeing se was the same lady who checked me out originally. She crossed the item off the list and said she is waiting for the manager approval. The manager "Luis" came over and asked me where did I get the bag, (take in mind he did not look at the receipt once) I answered I purchased it here a few moments ago and reminded him he was standing next to the young lady speaking to her while she was ringing up my items.,
I at this point asked him if he was joking because they had my receipt and just seen me, Luis stated I think you walked in off the street with this, how do I know if I can trust you. I felt threatened at this point perhaps this could be racial profiling seeing I am African American and Luis is Latin American. He said "do you see me laughing, I don't know you bro"! I asked him to please refrain from calling me bro, I am his customer not his friend and I asked him again very politely to hand over my receipt or give me my refund. At this point he attempted to go back and forth with me I told him to please look at my receipt so I can go my wife is waiting. He continued to call me bro. I walked out the store ad left my item, I went back in and the young lady said she had my refund, I took my cash and Luis refused to give me my receipt, I threatened to call the police and he handed it over.
As a person first and a customer second I should not have to be subject to this behavior I don believe anyone should. The incident I had with the other young lady was on August 22, 2017. I chose not to go into detail because she did not share her name although she was between the age of 20-25 about 5'6" long dark hair and slim build. She was also at the register working on September 6, 2017 between the hour of 12-5 pm.
I will continue to file complaints on the communities behalf in regards to this new store that seems to be a burden on the community more than a resource. Currently I will continue to use local resources such as Next Door, my neighborhood app, yelp and other social media such as Facebook, Instagram and youtube to share my experiences.

I was at family dollar getting water for the hurricane since I have a family of 6 . I had my 15 year old son with me who is skinny and shirt like his dad . The lady and her daughter the same exact age infront of me bought 2 cases of water for her and 2 cases for her 15 year old daughter .. when I ask if me and and my son asked if we could do that too she rudely said NOhes too young .. I went in the back of the store to ask that girl how old she was she was 15 too ?can you tell me why a Spanish lady can let her Spanish friends buy as much water as the want but since I am not I can only get 2? I asked the cashier her name and she said something like yulissly ?
I work in the custumer service industry and I have never wrote In on anyone in my life .. she was being mean to me for no reason it was unacceptable

The employees will sit on sidewalk outside of store smoke cigarettes while playing on phones. When Waking into store you have to smell the cigarettes and it's nasty. It's the Brewton Alabama Store. They also will talk on phone while checking you out and it's also. It the cleanest store around. I love family dollar but they have got to get some better management in there.
fix a flat and the store manager's attitude and issue with calling people stupid
Went in for a refund on a bad can of fix a flat and was basically called stupid and after rolling her eyes says that she'd be happy to show me how to use it. I am a SAE certified mechanic and know how to use a damn can of fix a flat. But because Im a woman as was she she assumed I was ignorant as to how a can of the stuff works. i went to the family dollar store in jonesborough tn on 11 e, to purchase some stuff, when i got there i found that there was signs posted for 50 % off summer items, two of the signs was posted right over the kids swimming pools, i wanted to purchase a 45 $ pool which was suppose to be half off. the sales man would not sell me the pool, he stated he did not know which summer items was on sale and which was not., however they were posted right on the pools, there was also another woman trying to buy one for 1/2 off and he would not sell any off them. i stated that beacuse the signs was posted that by law he has to sell us these items for the sale price. he looked at me and then took down the signs and said NOTHING is posted as 1/2 off now. i purchased the rest of my items and left, but i will not shop your stores again. DECENT people who work in retail DO NOT treat their customers like this.
i'm on social security and i ususally buy items at the end of the seasons so i can save money (being on a fixed income) for my grandchildren. I feel this was very un-fare and un-professional of him. i believe i will have to make a b.b.b. complaint about your company policies.

I went to the Family Dollar on Monday Sept.4th (Labor Day) to pick up a some finger nail polish remover, and everyone I pick up was expired, some had the date of 4/17 and some said 6/17. I told the stock person and he said he would take at look at them. The store was junkie, there was all kinds of merchandise on the floor, and the music was blasting.

I am an employee of Family Dollar. We have been without a manager for some time now and 2 assistant managers are well qualified to be the managers. The acting manager, who is under qualified, uneducated and unprofessional, had the audacity to say while customers were in the store, "she can do what she wants because she is white". I refuse to be subjected to this unprofessional and unethical behavior from upper management and a district manager had the audacity to make her store manager and she has no high school diploma or GED. This manager doesn't even take care of her personal hygiene and several customers have complained about her. I cant believe this company allows this. This employee of the Family Dolloar located at 3155 W Pleasant Run Road Lancaster, TX store number 08874. Had the nerves to tell 6 paying customers that was waiting outside the door at 8:30am; 30mins past openening time. That its not his fault he was late getting to work and opened late. Then told a customer they just talking they not goung to do him nothing. Basically challenged a paying customer to a fight. After he was told not to disrespect customers like that continued to say he dosent care that we were upset at the he opened late. I told him he was disrespectful and that I will be making a complaint on him, so he posed for the camera to show me and whoever gets this message how much he really do not care about his job. I shop at this store location faithfully at least 4 times a week and I have never in my life meet an employee at this location like this. It is unacceptable and it needs to be addressed immediately. Or I will release the entire video of him acting and his comments to the media. He is unacceptable for a place of business in a family oriented environment. One black lady/woman worker at family dollar tryed falsely accusing me of stealing (I don't do that crap) all I did is put my calculator&my phone back in my pockets after taking them out&useing them, and the black lady/woman Worker there told a surcity person&a officer there that she saw me stuffing things of the store in my pockets, and I don't like being falsely accused of doing anything that I'm not doing "exspicely" Not Thing's that I don't even do/even believe-in doing, NORE do I like having my time wasted like that&haveing to take everything out of my pockets when I have no where to set them&can hardly hold them all in my hands without dropping them because I don't like risking dropping my phone/anything that can be broken&then it get broken&I then have to replace them when I ain't got money to be replacing things like that, Really I don't like my time being wasted at all (exspecialy Not when I am in a time crunch to get back home/whatever :fore whatever; thank y'all very much for y'alls time&understanding *God bless! I went to Family dollar tonight around 730 pm and they had a hand written note on door saying " We are closed". This is the second time in about a month this has happened. Wouldn't have been to big of deal except my son and I walked there tonight since it was nice out so it was quite an inconvenience! I understand things happen but twice in a month is a little much.

unethical behavior/unstocked store
Store is always unstocked and aisles are filled with boxes full of stock that needs to be put out. It's so bad you can't push your cart through the aisles or see or get to products that are hidden behind all the boxes of stock needed to b put out. I went into store on a Tuesday to get my allergy meds. I live in a small town and thus store is the only one that carries what I need. I also live 40 minutes away, up in the mountains so I can only get to town once a week to every 2 weeks. Anyway the med aisle was almost empty and did not have my meds in. However they were in one of the many boxes stacked in the aisle. At that time I was the only one in the store and the main manager was sitting behind counter playing on her phone. I asked when the meds would b available or if I could help her find it and she said it would b out tonight or tomorrow. But I told her how far I lived and asked if I could help find it. She said no cause she didn't know where it was and really didn't care. I came back 4 days later and the item still wasn't on shelf and there were more boxes and the whole cleaning aisle was empty. I have never been in such an unorganized or lazy store in my life. Other people are having the same problem and refuse to go in there till something changes. I actually hear people talking with others about the same issue
managers attitude about items not given to me after paying and customer service
First thing I want to ask is...why would you guys supply a customer service number of you don't answer? Secondly a bag that the lady behind the register forgot to give to me helps me back from leaving to go home because I didn't known what to do. The managers remark for this wasn't nice. This is not good customer service all around! I've been on the phone for 45mins for customer service to answer. And now it's been almost an hour! That's terrible service...

Went in Family Dollar last night and seen the variety bag 20ct chips advertised for $3 a pack, got to the register and they rung up $6.96, I informed the cashier of the sale price, she then stated there's nothing I can do they aren't suppose to be $3. I asked well why are they advertised for $3, she asked "do you want the chips or not" I said yes for $3, she stated "there not $3".
