Family Dollar employee service - checker

8/26/19 - My granddaughter and her friend went into your store around 5:30pm or 6:00pm and was treated very badly from the middle age woman that was waiting on them. My granddaughter was using the digital coupon via cell phone for the first time and for some reason it did not take the coupons off of her bill. The checker would not rescan her items and would not return her money when Megan ask to return the items if she was not allowed to use her coupons. Her friend asked the checker "why are you always rude when I come in?" The checker got mad and told them to get out of her store or she would call the police. My granddaughter said the checker accused her friend of calling her names which she DID NOT call her one bad name. Her friend just called her "Rude". That is not name calling! The checker called the police and lied about her being called names from my granddaughter's friend. The police would not let the girls say anything on their behalf, so they had to leave the store without getting their money back. This is very unexceptionable customer service and I would appreciate if you have a talk with this woman and have her own up to the false accusations. This is not setting a great example to these young kids to lie to the police and get away with it. Please have a talk with her and I feel she owes these girls an apology. Also, I would like to see them both get their money back! I feel Megan's friend was being discriminated against because she is black. My granddaughter is white and was not treated as harshly as her friend was. In fact, her friend was told she was not allowed to go back into the store. IF there is nothing done about this behavior, I will take it to the CEO and explain there is a reason your stores have such a bad rating because of this behavior from your employees. Please let me know when this has been addressed and what you will be doing about it, ASAP. You will find my business email below.

This store needs to be shut down it's so bad! Since the remodel months ago you cannot walk in it. As soon as you come in the door it looks like it was looted or a hurricane went through it. I have gone into this dollar store for years.. It has always been greatly ran by a man named ralph... He was always making sure everything was clean and stocked.. He knew all the customers that came in... He even helped my husband grab my normal products for cleaning when I couldn't make it to the store because he knew everyone so well... He was amazing...

Family Dollar customer service

I was in store #03428 and had the worst customer service ever in this store. I asked about prices not ringing up right showed a pictures of the tag hanging, the tag was hung today, and was told we'll there is nothing I can do about it. All I was asking was if the price was right. The cashier was unhelpful and rude. I use the digital coupons and sometimes paper, but it is very disappointing when I'm doing all right things and this person acted as if I was a bother. My total on this ticket should have been 6 dollars less than it was. I paid and left as Im not one to cause a scene but it would be nice if things work.

My concern is about when your store was rob on 09/19/2019 an no security was provided at this location your staff can monitor store's in the white community but not in the black community, no one was sent to that to see if the worker's was o.k.an another thing why are the security camer's turn off im going to take this matter to some one that is higher then some one in your office

Family Dollar manager

:I purchased a BBQ grill two weeks ago from the local family dollar. This morning I went to exchanged because all the parts was not I the box. I spoke with the store manager Grayson he told me I could not exchange it because I did not have the receipt. He acted as if I asked for a refund. I am very familiar with retail return/exchanged policies. Grayson then tell me find a man to put it together because I did not know what I was doing. I have had two people to try to put this grill together and both said the same thing. This is like just flushing $26 down the toilet.I would like to exchange this grill or receive store credit whichever is easier. Grayson is rude and does not have good customer service skills. Please contact me regarding this issue.

Family Dollar manager

On August 23rd approximately 4:15 went to Family Dollar to reload my NetSpend card to pay my bills. Gave the manager on duty five 20s one 100 and four 50s total of $400 to pay my bills. Check the receipt when I got into the car, and the manager only put $300 on my card. Return to the store immediately to let him know of his mistake. Nervously counted out his drawer three times, with a different amount each time. But always held money under the counter when it got to the Big Bill's. Each time told me know the money is not here. Went home to call corporate office to let them know of this incident, so they can check their cameras and give me my money back! I will try the corporate office again and again and be contacting my attorney to prosecute for the theft

Family Dollar kidgets diapers size 5

I bought a big case of your brand of diapers hoping that they would hold up and Be a great diaper for the value. But instead I got nothing but rashes and messes. I tried them for 3 days and all 3 days my son ended up with gel all over him. Once was at night and it was full, the next was in the morning and wasn't even a full diaper, and the last one was just now and he had only peed one small time. I have used your brand before with my other children years ago but I am very highly disappointed in your product now. I will never buy these again and now I'm out 20 dollars because I can't even use these! I hope someone from your company will contact me and attempt to make this right. As I am a very loyal customer to your store in general.

Why in the world would public not be allowed to use restrooms while shopping here? If you have an emergency and are refused access it will likely cause an unfortunate accident. Family Dollar customer service

On 8/09/19 when shopping in the store a store employee accused me of stealing. She came out yelling she caught me on the camera. I was embarrassed, mortified, and enraged. She said I put something in my purse. My purse was open I showed her there was nothing in my purse, she the said I put it in my bra, if you want to see my breast then look at your surveillance cameras. I believe I was accused because I'm black. I was threatened with her calling the police. Told her to call them. I'm contemplating a lawsuit. After all the commotion she comes with a pack of koolaid individuals ( it is a myth all black people don't drink koolaid). I will be contacting a attorney. I admit that I did steal. I have talked to my lawyer, they talked to their lawyer. We are in agreement that if I admit that I was shoplifting that they won't press charges. They agreed that if I did not shop in their stores for a year that I would not be charged. So here I am admitting that I did shoplift, and hid the items in my bra. They have me on camera.

Family Dollar item exchange

I attempted to return and exchange a shirt that I purchased for my daughter, but she didn't like it. I had already thrown away the receipt, so I simply intended to exchange the item. The employee at the counter, Debra, acted aggravated because I didn't have a receipt and stated she couldn't exchange anything over $10. The price of the shirt, with the price tag on it, was $10. So, she said she would go ahead and allow it this time.

I didn't see another shirt that I thought my daughter would like, so I continued to shop for school supplies for my granddaughter, who was with me in the store. I stood at the counter for a couple of minutes until another employee came walking up from the back of the store and yelled for Debra, telling her the woman with the shirt was up there. Debra starts walking up, looking at the items I had. She rudely said I couldn't exchange for food. I replied that I didn't have food...I had school supplies, a 2 liter of soda and a pack of gum. She then informed me that I had an attitude and that she can't exchange anything over $5...she originally stated $10, and that she just being nice by going ahead and doing the exchange at all. She was yelling all of this as she stood over by the aisles and in front of other customers, including my 11 yr old granddaughter. So, now, I do have an attitude about the entire situation. Debra proceeded to walk back into an aisle and I could hear her talking about me to another customer. Debra is VERY lucky I had my granddaughter with me today.

I read your return policy and I should've been able to exchange my item with no problems or having to deal with a very rude employee. I frequent this store several times a week, every week, and will not go back as long as Debra works there. I will be sure to inform everyone I know as well as post on social media community groups, of the poor standards pertaining to this store and Debra's rude customer service procedures...which obviously violated Family Dollar's return policy.
