I went in to this store tonight around 9pm. The cashier that was working tonight name was Ellie. Me and my husband were there for about an hour. When we were doing getting things needed. We proceeded to check out with Ellie the cashier who was working. While we was ringing up things. 2 coffee cups that were on sale rang up wrong price. My husband than told the cashier that they were on sale for .60 cents. He went back to take picture of coffee cups that were on sale for .60 cents. She then told him that they were the wrong ones and that she would still give for sale price. Still wanting to argue with him. She
then overrode the price she kept saying I better not get fired over .80 cents. Then she rang up my stuff I had. She put everything in one bag and shoveled it at me with a big line of people . I was very shocked by the way me and husband was treated by this cashier. Thought she was very rude and unprofessional. I do not think that employee of a store should ever treat a customer like that. She was very rude and poor customer service. Disciplinary actions should be taken for her actions. I shop at your stores every week about 4 to 6 times. I always save 10 dollars or more and didn't get to use many coupons. I. Lost money because she didn't give me my coupons

It also baffles me that when you come to the register to check out and of course never have enough money for all your items or you just decide last minute you don't want something so you hand them to the employee talking about "Oh and I don't want this." Well [censored], does it look like we do? Did we bring it up there? No. So go put all the crap back that you don't want where you found it, that's start. And of course once you leave they're toys all over the store from your disrespectful children, who have no manners and who you haven't even paid one bit attention to the entire time you're in the store. And then there's the people always trying to get something for nothing and you theives, too. Don't worry though, when they have to shut these places down because of all the theift that goes on in these stores then you uneducated, lazy, sad excuse for a human being will have to find somewhere else to shop who won't put up with your crap. You customers are Family Dollars problem, and you only. They don't get paid nearly enough to deal with losers like you all day but they still do it and all you wanna do is [censored] and complain when you're the reason the stores look the way they do and the employees act the way they act. Good Morning, On Thursday June 7 2018 around 6 pm, I Mary, went to this family dollar, I had a five dollar coupon to use when purchasing $25 dollars. I asked for a price check, and then they did not know how to delete it, and also they said the coupon was not valid. The expiration date is June 09, 2018, which is this Saturday. They said I had to wait, due to not knowing how to clear out the register due to the price check. I left my full cart of items and walked out of the store. I have been going to Family dollar for many years.. I am also an honorable woman veteran and work at a VA Hospital. This staff needs training in customer service. Thank you

The lady with tattooed neck was helping my husband was rude. First off she was not at the front of the store for 10 minutes. She refused to scan an item to check price and told him to [censored] off. When told ahead was ride She shrugged and asked what the [censored] you going to do. She then continued to flip him off as he left the store. And kept cussing at him.
That is no way to treat someone whom is a customer at all.
You need better employees then someone to full of themselves to be respectful.
As an ex-manager that is not right work behavior to cuss and flip people off.

I have been a regular customer for years at this store and after today I will not step foot back in that store. I walk in there and there is a new girl working the register and the customer had an issue with a coupon not being credited. She needed a manager to fix the problem on the register and no one was to be found. There were 3 workers at the store and the young cashier could not leave her register. After 15 min of standing in line no apologies or anything and another worker opens register helping customers out way after I had been standing there. I finally just had to bite my tounge and walk out. This store is awful with customer service and its lights are not working in the back part of store and it's almost 100 degrees in there because the air was broke. ( the air was also broke 6/4/2018 when I went in there) I am thoroughly disgusted with my experience there and like I have said before, I will not ever step foot in there again. They have lost my business for good.

Today I went to the family dollar on natural bridge in st. louis mo to simply purchase some work gloves to do lawn work in my yard. When I walked in the store instead of being greeted I was rudely asked " What are you looking for". Then I was directed to the aile with the gloves which I removed off rack for purchase. I then walked to the cashier to pay for the gloves but a customer was in front. I then heard the cashier speak out " Do you need a bag?" and even though I was unclear of who she was addressing I went to reply in slang "uh huh" which means yes but she kept repeatedly asking same question till I was in front of her. I then replied I answered your question at first but she then got rude again and said she didnt here me but strangely all the customers heard me. I then told her that just because other customers might give them a hard time doesnt not give them the right to treat other customers with disrespect and rude attitude.

Went to Family Dollar yesterday to buy a pair of shoes a certain pair of shoes size 13 for my 6 year old granddaughter along with those shoes I bought another $64 worth of stuff in your store when I got home the shoes were not in my bag but they were running up on the receipt I went back to the store with my receipt the Wintersville store Wintersville Ohio 43953 the cashiers name was Phyllis she called me a liar said I went home and took the shoes out of my bag and came back for more a I didn't spend $64 in your store to be stealing from you be the rudeness of her calling me a thief and a liar is uncalled for I paid again for the same pair of shoes which by the way your store only had one pair of size 13 and those were the ones that they didn't put in my bag the first time I spend over $300 a week in your store I don't have to I just like some of the items in there I make more in a week than that b**** in a month she got very rude with me told her I'm calling corporate because this is not right she said go ahead my name is Phyllis well you better do something with Phyllis because she's downright rude now I have the same pair of shoes and had to pay for them twice if this problem isn't resolved you'll never see me back in that store and maybe you just don't care but I don't either at this point she shouldn't be there she is not a customer friendly person

Hi i was racially profiled in the family dollar loction of 11800 n.w.17 ave miami fl 33167 miami, fl. I was followed in the store by an employee for the whole time i was shopping with 1 year old . then was accused to open my bag and search it only to find i havent stole anything. They do this alot athis location it is unacceptable. The store is dirty the costumer service is horrible, there are boxes thats been sitting for a week or so that should have been placed on the shelves. I can't even get toilet paper cause its packed in a box next to the tissue section. There are a lot of recall products as well in the store how is the costumer supposed to know if you guys still have the products on the shelf. I am very upset and disappointed i cant shop and support a company that doesnt support the people.

This location for years has been stellar! The last 6 or 8 mos. it has been nothing short of a real pig pen. It is clear there has been numerous employee changes and this is what has led to its downfall in appearance. I truly believe if this is not addressed immediately this will lead to its demise. Being a loyal customer for years, I would hate to see this happen. One more note, I contemplated snapping photos of the filth and clutter for your benefit. A competitor Dollar General is located about 1 mile south of this store and would thrive should this store fail. I will submit this complaint for now since now I see the photos can be sent. I was addressed rudely as a customer, was told that i couldn't sit down my gallons of water on counter but I there were no more shopping carts, the clerk told me that i couldn't sit down the waters or clutter his space, all i wanted was somewhere to sit the waters until i was done shopping. he talked and made a scene and was unprofessional I talked to a manager who seem to have no clue on how to handle the situation. I decided to put everything back because as a customer I will not spend my money in a place that has no respect for a paying customer. It really should be better screening when it comes to clerks working in customer service. The manager had nothing to say but smile and look down at the floor as if she don't have a clue of how to handle things.

Dear costomer service, i have been calling the Dollar General store in Stratford Nj. O8o83 for 9days straight to resolve a major complaint i have against the manager, named Carla. I am permenately disabled and depend on family and outside help for everything, including my weekly food shopping. I was a regular before my disability and still am because my 38 year old son and 41 year old daughter are almost in the store for one thing or another, every other day, if not, every day for something i need. This past week i spent and have my reciepts for over 300 dollars, in this stratford store. My daughter has just recently, come to help me, so she is new to this perticular store, and was horrified by the behavior of your manager, carla, when she went in to return a headset for 10dallars, because it didnt fit her phone like she thought. My daughter, jaime was at the register with her reciept from the day before, when the cashier had to call for the manager to come up front to ok the return. Well to her horror, this carla immediately starts yelling at my daughter that this is the last return she will do for her, because she claimed that jaime was in there everyday returning things all week long, and she claimed to have her on camera. My daughter asked to see the tape and prove that she had been doing that, because this is the furthest thing from the truth. The one and only return was the day before, and that was for 2 mini fans for 10dollars each and on 2 seperate reciepts because i bought one and she bought the other. When she got home with them, and we hooked them up, they just werent cool enough, so we decided to return them and put our money together and get one for 20bucks. Carla took care of this transaction the day before, without incident. The same day that she bought the fans, jaime had found another headset that was supposed to be 10dollars but when the cashir rang her up, they were 15dollars, so she didnt wznt them. The girl had to call carla up, to authorize the transaction, and did so so without any problem. But in carlas mind, shes thinking my daughter is returning a bunch of stuff, when in fact, she only returned the two fans to buy a more exspensive one. Now, im going back to the day in questioned, the returning of the 10 dollar headset.when jaime asked to see the tape, carla snatched the reciept out of her hand and said this is the last thing she will return for her, jaime asked her why because she hadnt returned alot of anything and also bought at least 300 dollars in stuff that week, carla then threw the reciept at her and yelled to get out of her store and screamed, " you crack head" . My daughter happened to have a broken tooth near the front of her mouth, , that she was already in the process of getting fixed, but needless to say, she is so embarrassed to be a young women walking around in the meantime, waiting to get fixex. She has been so depressed over this broken tooth and this monster of a human being judged her because of it. I wznted to die for her because i was the one that had to comfort her all week since this happened. Shes been crying and shaking because she had been treated terribly for no reason. This manager is 100% wrong and has no tapes of my daughter exchanging alot of stuff. I am horrified. She also is not aloud in the store and when she just tried to go in to get a few things, carla czlled her a crack head again and called the police on her. I am outraged and want justice! I went to Family Dollar store to do some shopping and had to step over paper and trash as I walked through the isles. Even as I entered the store there was paper and trash at the door opening. I complained about it along with other customers to the store manager (Anthony) and was told that he wasn't going to do anything about it and that it was too bad! He was very rude and told me to leave the store... just for asking him to please clean up the trash in the store.
I feel as though the customers deserve to be treated better than that. Besides when they go there and spend their money, they are providing jobs for the very people who tell them they don't care about them or the condition of the store. I also feel as though it is a health hazard and should be reported. You should see the filth in the store... I am not exaggerating. Something needs to be done about it. I purchased a Bluetooth headset in March 2018 and returned with the receipt because it did not work. The store manager Yasledy at store 04985, suggest I buy a different one for $10.00 more. I purchased a Bluetooth headphone set on 4-20-18, one of the retractable ear pieces jammed. I took it back to the store on 5-31-18, and the manager stated I had it for two months and I can't exchange. My receipt purchase date was 4-20-18, I explained to the manager Yasledy at store 04985, I only had the Bluetooth headset for forty-one days. The store manager at Yasledy at 04985, stated the policy is only Family Dollar items can be exchanged after 30 days and I have to contact the vendor. I explained to the store manager Yasledy the electronic policy states opened merchandise with the original receipt may exchange for the same item. I expressed as the customer my intention is not to purchase an electronic device that operates for thirty days only. I explained to the Manager Yasledy no one buys an electronic device with the intention of replacing it in thirty days due to a defect. Unfortunately, Yasledy, the manager did not understand me attributed to a language, barrier.
Yasledy, is a nice person and she does speak some English but not enough to communicate as manager on a customer service level with a customer who only speaks English. Evident by ticket #6374464, the Family Dollar corporate department tired to explain to Yasledy, Manager t 04985, to exchange the Bluetooth headset with my receipt. Due to Yasledy, the manager at 04985 limited English the Corporate Family Dollar representative Ivan had to request for a Spanish speaking colleague to interpret for the Manager Yasledy at 04985 to understand and comply.
I am a constituent in Miami Beach, FL a regular consumer at this site for the past six years. Unfortunately, their has been only two employees whom could communicate in English effectively. One was a bilingual Panamanian no longer employed and Danny a Caucasian male currently employed. These two males are Assistant Managers with excellent customer service skills. There have been managers at this site and unfortunately, a pattern only Spanish speaking. The cashier and stock staff don't speak and are comfortable expressing they don't speak English and dismissing the customers who don't speak Spanish.
A few months back the District Manager was in the store completing the inventory, and I approached a stock person, inquired about a product, he told me he did not speak English and walked away. I was appalled and went to find a manager. The District Manager approach and requested to assist with no Company ID or badge and never identified who she was or title. I asked her if she worked for Family Dollar three times before she disclosed she was the Family Dollar District Manager and never produced any company ID. The district manager she the male did not work in this store as a solution to his behavior.
Today, June 1, 2018, while on the phone with the corporate office the store phone was out of order. When I approached the cashier to inquire, she gave me a blank stare because she did not understand my question to her. "Did the store phone ring and is the store telephone working?". The corporate office then tried to reach the store Manager Yasledy at 04985, on her cell phone and she disappeared and stated she did not get a call from them. I then put my phone on speaker for the Family Dollar corporate representative to make sure they had her correct number and Yasledy the Manager 04985, took the call.
Yasledy, the manager at 04985, suggested I not exchange the Bluetooth headset since there was only one left and open. She took my receipt and gave me a gift card and stated for me to go to another Family Dollar and purchase an un-open Bluetooth headset. I told her I could wait until they came in and Yasledy the store manager suggested I not buy the next Bluetooth headset from her store.
Unfortunately, the hold process took two days, on hold on the phone for three hours and one hour in the store to rectify this matter. All attributed to a Store Manager language barrier. The district manager was not available and did not answer their phone.
Lastly, the store manager Yasledy, requested my driver's license to complete the refund, Yasledy the store manager took out her cell phone to take a picture of my driver license. I told her I was uncomfortable with her having my driver license photo on her cell phone. Yasledy then took my driver license and made a photocopy.

The cashier was extremely rude and annoying and when asked questions she seemed like it was a bother to her to help people she not been working there but maybe a couple months or less .Every other employees are always friendly and happy to help anyone. I have tried to shop at my local Family Dollar but was prevented from doing so twice because the employees close the store before it's advertised closing time. When I knocked on the door and inform the employee that I was here before 10:00 PM (9:50) he shook his head "no" and yanked the door out of my hand. Please inform your employees that the opening and closing times listed on the door is the correct time. The customers are legally allowed to shop if the time differs customer should be made aware of the change.

the way the district manager went about and wording things
I have a complaint I'm a former employee and there was an issue about 2 day's ago where the district manager came in and blamed us for not having the store at 100%. No store is at 100% to be exact. I have a recording and didn't like how I was talked to.. Plus earlier that day I was doing my job and he says "you have a problem ". I looked at him like what is you talking about... But I walked out told my supervisor it was nice working with him but refuse to work with district manager who goes behind his breathe talking and to other team members we all have a complaint at the store but I'm the first one to reach out... Plus I asked him can he sign my voluntarily separation paper's he replied naw we don't do that.

I was a regular customer of you Family Dollar store at 3912 N Nast St. Wilson, NC. Several months ago management at that store changed and your store has gone downhill ever since. My visit yesterday (5/26/18) to your store was the worst. Not only is the parking lot full of trash but the store is dirty. Since you have had a new manager every time I went to your store, many aisles were completely blocked by boxes full of 'goods/stock' that had not been put on the shelves. Yesterday, over ONE HALF of all aisles were blocked!
I wish I would have taken pictures so I could send them to you. IF I ever go into one of your stores again, I will take pictures.

I was in line purchasing a few items and this young man asked the manager could she open up another line at this point the manager went totally crazy hollering and cursing and told this young man if he don't shut the [censored] up he want receive no service and she don't give a dam if he call corporate(these are her exact words), she stated don't get this red shirt confused because she ain't no punk so she went back and forth with this customer for over 30 minutes or so another young man asked her why you going off on that man just because he asked you to open up another line and she had words with this young man.
