Laptop did not have the dvd writer as mentioned on add online
on the 31/07/2020 I bought a HP Intel Celeron Laptop and I was buying it under the impression that it had a dvd writer but when I got home the product had leaflet that advised of a dvd writer but there was none. I am not happy because when I bought the laptop I had intentions to use the dvd writer. The product was missold as the add and the product in store had different features

I ordered a remote control on 30 June 2020 online, I followed up to find out when I will receive my order however no one could assist. On 27/07/2020 I received an email that my order is on the way. On 05/08/2020 I received an email that my order is cancelled. I then called Game and they told me that they have refunded me and that I will get my payment within 10-14 working days.
I am disappointed with the service provided and I do not want a refund I want my order that I ordered and informed me that it is on it's way.

Game vodacom contract
To the Manager, Game Lephalale,
On the 28th of July 2020 I went to Game Lephalale to get a Vodacom contract for an Acer laptop with a LTE router and 1GB of data for R349 per month. At first your Game Vodacom contract specialist was unwilling to help me and treated me extremely rudely. I find this unacceptable. I asked to speak to an in store manager and the issue was resolved.
Due to a typing error the paperwork for the contract could only be completed on the 29th of July 2020. On that day I went to the store to sign the contract and pay the once off fees as stipulated in the contract. At the till when a second game vodacom contract specialist was helping me to pay the upfront fees they were unable to scan the LTE router barcode that goes with the contract as the system stated that the router was not in stock. I was told I will be contacted when the issue is resolved.
On the 31st of July 2020 I returned to the store to ask for feedback as I have not been contacted with regards to the contract. On this day I was informed that Game Lephalale was trying to get the correct LTE router from Game Polokwane, but that Game Polokwane doesn't have stock.
On the 4th of August 2020 I went back to Game Lephalale as I have still not received feedback regarding the contract - please note that I have already signed the contract on the 29th of July 2020. I was then informed that the Game/Vodacom contract specialist that helped me sign the contract is currently in Polokwane to get the correct stock (On the 31st of July they did not have stock) and that it is an issue because two different routers have the same product code on the system.
With this I was told that they still cannot help me and that I have to wait till they contact me. After inquiring as to what will happen if they don't resolve the issue before the 6th of August 2020 as the deal will expire by then. The answer I got was that we will see what Game can do tomorrow and if they do not succeed in getting stock - tuff luck to me.
I find this completely unacceptable. I have signed a contract to only then be told that I cannot get the product that I signed for with little to no help on what the way forward will be.
Delivery of product bought online and customer service online support and in store customer service
I purchased a refrigerator online on the 28th of June 2020. Order No. : [protected]. Almost a month has past and I have not received delivery. I have sent multiple emails and have tried called their online support, only to get ghosted and placed on hold for prolonged periods. No one wants to assist me. If there are delays then communicate them, do not leave your customers in the dark. After receiving no Happiness with the online help. I went into the store to ask for assistance (Midlands Mall Branch), I was told that online sales is separate from them and they cant help me and even refused to call on my behalf and recommended that a apply for a refund. All I want is my purchase to be delivered.
Delivery of fully paid hisense 120l chest freezer
I bought a Hisense 120L Chest Freezer White H120CF (Order number [protected]) from Game online on Wednesday 8 July 2020 and paid in full including delivery (R2149.00).
On Sunday the 12th of july 2020 I received and email from game stating that my order was dispatched from their warehouse and is making its way to me. Even the status of my order on game online showed "dispatched" as from sunday evening.
On thursday the 16th of july 2020 I phone game customer care about 4 times and one phone call to their courier "dawn wing", after getting a new courier tracking number from game yesterday morning (g0080035691) and on the courier site it still cannot be found. I was told after 11h00 that they will phone me and no-one phoned me back. I phoned game customer care again and they had the nerve to tell me that my order was only dispatched yesterday afternoon from their warehouse and would be delivered by the following week.
On friday 17th of july 2020 I received a telephone call and was told my delivery from game has arrived, so with great anticipation me and my son went to the truck outside and… instead of the hisense 210 l freezer that I bought, I was given a samsung washing machine and the very same thing happened on the21st of july 2020, also a samsung washing maching machine, both times I did not sign for delivery and sent the item back with the courier. Now game is blaming the courier and the courier is blaming game stores.
It is now 17 days and after two wrong deliveries I still don't have my freezer, I spend almost a r1000 on telephone calls to customer care and their agents always promise to phone me back but never do. This constitutes fraud and I am at a point where I am going to open a case of fraud at the south african police. My game order number: [protected].
That is beyond pathetic and it is unacceptable, I will never buy from game again ever! I am furious and at this stage I strongly doubt that I am ever going to see that freezer!

I have ordered LG 8kg front load washing machine online on 8 July 2020 and on 20th July 2020 I received email saying the quoted above. Well I am not happy at all with this but there's nothing I can do. The worst thing game stores is doing now is keeping my money, no indication whatsoever as to when am I going to get my refund. That's is very unfair and very inconveniencing.

Went on line to purchase a Raleigh 29IN Mason Mountain Bike just to be told that the specific bike I was looking for has been discontinued. If the GAME franchise advertises a product and they do not have the product it constitudes false advertising. Please remove products that is no longer sold by GAME. I wasted my time and effort just to be negatively impacted by this

On the 13th of March 2020 a returned a TV for repairs it just went blank and did not want to switch on. I have since been waiting and I've been calling for the past 4 weeks and they have been telling me that they are waiting for paper work for me to take another tv don't know what kind of paperwork takes 4 weeks to be completed. I am very furious with your service and regret buying something from Game because your service is very bad how can it take 4 months for me to get my TV back? Generator
I bought 2 generators; one on the 17th october at game mthatha plaza a second one on the 2nd november 2019 at game mthatha circus triangle. Before february they were already dead (they were not starting at all). I managed to take them both to their respective stores on the 24th of march. I wrote an an email to them on the 1st of july to enquire about the repair process and later that day that I received a call from them advising me to collect them "as they were ready". I went to collect them, to my surprise they were not starting still. Apparently they cannot not test them for me to confirm that they are fixed. Unfortunately I cannot drive more than 60 kms to and from the shop to get a generator only to drive back when its not fixed. Please, can I get my money back, so I can get another generator somewhere else.
This frustrated me a lot. I have lost so much in my business. There is no electricity where I work, I use a generator. This has costed me and my family, emotional, financially and socially.
A product I ordered online and I have not received anything but my order status states "delivered".
This company's service is poor because I bought cellphone online on the 24th may. They said the product will be delivered in 7-10 days and I waited until day 12 but I have not received my product. I'm disappointed and I tried to contact the online customer service but they said i'm going to be called back as soon as they follow up. Until now I haven't received anything. The way i'm disappointed I do not want the product I want a refund and i'll go buy my item somewhere else where the service is more effective than this. Game workers are unethical and unprofessional I don't know what they get paid for.

To whom it may concern my refrigerator has been broken since the 30th of march.
Due to the lock down I was told that all technical services will resume after this period. On the 5th of May customer services were contacted I was told that technicians were not being sent out due to the covid circumstances.
I then contacted LG directly to come have a look at the fridge who sent out a technician on the 25th of May. Paper work was sent to game Pavillion. I also took it upon my self to contact Collin Raman the store manager. I was told to email a copy of my slip an he would call me back which he failed to do.
I told him I could not come during the week as I was working he then told me I could come through on the weekend and pick out a new refrigerator he failed to tell me that systems were being upgraded and that deliveries would now be on hold.
I went into the store on Saturday the 30th of May.
I picked out a new refrigerator an was then told I cannot do the purchase because deliveries are on hold( I still have the old fridge that needs to be picked up) I then spoke to a woman named Jali who took all my documents and allowed me to purchase a give card which was a sum of R4000 to pay the difference for the new fridge I picked out. She told me my pick up an delivery would take approximately 2 weeks today is almost 3 weeks. I spoke to Jali at the store on Monday she told me she would give me an answer that same afternoon which she failed to do. Understanding that there may be issues on the stores side I did not call them I decided to be patient and wait yesterday was a public holiday. When I phone the store today the phone rings while I'm being charged for the call when I eventually call back they tell me the store manager is at the warehouse the person from the large appliance department is also at the warehouse with the auctioneer an conveniently Jali is not at work. The staff at the store are absolutely unhelpful they do not give direct extensions to contact anyone. I still have not been helped I have no refrigerator from the 30th of March. Loyalty to customers out the window people are unbelievably lazy.
Zed book ii laptop
I purchased this product on 6 may 2020. After 2 weeks the screen began freezing, I could not use the keyboard to access the product. Tabs would not open. It took me 3hrs to type a 1 page word document. I took the product to game store gateway on 16 june 2020 as I had purchased it there. The sales technicians tested it and experienced some of the faults themselves instore. I was told that it might be a hardware or software issue, but the unit needed to be booked in, allowing for a 21 day process. I was told that this is the procedure and they are sorry for any inconvenience. I told the manager that I was not pleased as the product is one month old. I have no faith in this product and requested a refund. I was told that it was up to head office and their offices would be closed as it was a public holiday. I relented and allowed this. Upon arriving at home, I opened the box to discover that the unit was not even booked in but rather in the box at home with me. I am beyond frustrated about this and would like to take matters further regarding this as I feel my rights as a consumer are no longer being observed.
Defy washing machine

I bought a defy washing machine at Game liberty midlands mall in Pietermaritzburg in 2016.
I paid extra to add extended warranty.
I went through to Game store to log a job for my washing machine that just stopped working in April 2020.
I did not get assistance due to lockdown.
I then went in May and the guys from the washing machine took my details to log the job, I then called to check the progress but they were still waiting on feedback as it was still in lockdown stage.
I understood.
Then in June I called again as we moved to level 3 and all repair places and selling of washing machines were in operation again, as well as Defy to purchase parts if need be. I spoke to the manager Vaughn, he said he is making it his priority, this was 2 weeks ago.
I then called on Friday 12th June which was 2 weeks after he told me it's his priority.
He told me that the technicians can not come out due to Corona virus and he contacted the warranty department to find out what to do next, he told me they will reply on Monday 15th June which is today, I did mention to him that this is going to be the second time my washing machine has to be repaired, if a technician can not come out then I will need a new washing machine as I have paid for extended warranty and this is not fair on me.

Negative attitudes towards customers
I would like to report an incident which has been occurring on numerous occasions at game key west shopping centre. I did turn a blind on the 1st and 2nd incident it occurred with hopes that the individual will see their fault however their behavior is really appauling. I have raised the issue with her colleagues but it seems like it's falling on deaf ears. Today was the icing on top because she deliberately did not even follow safety regulations by sanitizing me. She clearly has a vendor against me which makes feel I am not the only person she is giving attitude to. I find such attitude very disturbing as I am customer to the shop. I question the level of professionalism and standards from game very disturbing. The level of service has gone to the dogs I tell you and that will be the downfall of the company. Please fix her (nthabiseng) attitude and morals as I will not even recommend the company to anybody.

I've had superb service at the Game store in Key West. However since the new recruits in White came along as cashier. I have not been happy. There's a girl Called Nthabiseng with Grey hair. Her attitude is disturbing. She is utterly shameful towards customers and I must add I went for Corona Virus testing recently and I have been careful, however she refused to sanitize me, just gave me a lazy eye roll. Could be personal, but it ruins my whole store experience.
Telefunken tv purchased online
I ordered a Tv via the Game online portal on Monday, 8 June 2020 at 10: 18am. I then sent through the required documentation for the order to be released, i.e a copy of my ID and my tv licence number as per the email sent to me.

I called in numerous times to follow-up on my order as it still reflected an 'on hold' status and was informed by the consultants that it would take 24-48hrs for my ID and TV licence to be verified and the order released.
It has now been over 72 hours and the order has still not been released for delivery. Each time I call I get a different reason why the order has not been released for delivery.
I finally requested to speak to one of the managers who confirmed there was a backlog and it would be delayed. However, the process to verify the licence is not more than 5 minutes. So why has it taken over 4 days for this to occur even though it has been escalated to head office thrice?
I would like my order to either be released for delivery or a full refund.
I also lodged a formal complaint with the consultant (ref: 545195) and have recorded my calls should there be any disputes of fact.
