I am so frustrated with the service I received at Game Stores Trade Route Mall on Sunday, 1 December 2024.
I went to game to purchase some items for my baby and home using Pay Just Now. At the till, we scanned everything and processed the payment and it went through. When the training guy at the till entered my reference number, it kept giving him an error message. I had to wait there for the team to try and figure out what went wrong, they were contacting Pay Just Now as well and there was no response. After about an hour and a half, the manager who was assisting me said I should leave cause their "admin person does not work on Sundays to help with the refund, and they cannot allow me to leave with the items either, even after they clearly saw the money went out of my app. A total of R453.09 was deducted but I still left with no items. I had to choose a few things from my trolley to pay for AGAIN as my child had no baby milk at home. They said they would call me the following day on Monday and no one has called me. I sent an email to Pay Just Now, they said the STORE has to be the ones that ask for the refund as they are not sure if I left with the items or not, I sent an email to Game and they said I should contact Pay Just Now. I have no money left, this was my last money. Can somebody refund me my money!
Desired outcome: A refund of my money back to my bank account, please.

Go to the shop with evidence of payment and ask the manager to solve it right away. Don’t leave without ensuring that someone calls their area office while you are there. If however the situation remains tardy, visit the office of the Ombudsman for Consumer Goods and Services and file a complaint with all the proofs of payment and communication with the firm.
