Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za I want my account closed and no one is helping.

I have been calling game to get my account closed but all I get is run arounds.
First they told me that I have over paid my account and I need to apply for refund, which I did. Later a consultant phoned me persuating me not to close my account, Of which I was clear that I want my account to be closed. He told me he will have the account closed on the 10th and I won't be charged monthly fees.
Today is the 12th my account is not closed on the statement it reflects service fee charges, which puts me on a negative.

Please close my account!

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za usn protein supplement

To whom it may concern
On the 31 August I purchased a USN protein supplement from the Game store in Trade Route Mall, Lenasia. Being a promotional item, the protein supplement was to come with a second supplement which under promotion would be free. Upon my purchase, I was told there's no stock available of the free item and was instructed to return and collect the item on a later date. I returned two days later, on the 2 September, and after not being given the product i returned again on the 9 September only to be told that the item is still not available and was given an item valued at R219.00 in lieu of the promotional item which is valued at R399.00. When I asked about the item I was given and the massive value difference between the promotional item and the subsidiary item I wss given, I was told that will be all that Game can do for me in exchange for their gross incompetence and totally misleading information as advertised in the promotional papers.
I find this lack of congruity between what's being advertised and what's available in store to be apalling and deceiving. If Game does not have stock of an item why is it being advertised. Moreover, as a promotional item! What's the point in Game misleading their loyal customers? What does Game hope to gain in so doing?
I find the item, which Game had given to me as a replacement, to be rather insufficient in value when compared to what i was originally supposed to receive. And this is after making two special trips to rectify matters. If this isn't daylight robbery then we're still in the stone ages.
It will be greatly appreciated on my side if Game could substitute the item i was given for the original promotional item and failing that I would like Game to, at the very least, give me a voucher to the same value as the item I was to receive initially.
Looking forward to continued good service from game

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za poor service and failure to adhere to the policies and procedures of the company

I was at Game Alberton and I saw a Dstv remove for R189.00 and exactly the same remote was selling less at Pick n Pay Lemon tree, the reason I did not buy it there was because there were some specials that I wanted to buy from Game and I wanted to make one transaction or even use my Game card as a payment option.

I met Joseph who took the remote and made it as if he is phoning pick n pay, few minutes later he told me to go to the information counter because the lines were not going out, at the information counter, I met Catherine, who was also not helpful and she told me to go back to the department and ask the sales assistant to phone, which I refused because as a customer why must I do the running around before they can fulfill their company's policy of beating the price, I told Catherine to call Joseph and she used a loud speaker to call him, why did I have to tell her how to do her job as a manager ? Joseph came and Catherine gave her the phone and still they could not reach pick n pay to confirm the price, I waited 25-30 minutes giving them a chance to call pick n pay and they failed me and I left.

I will like to request that the above employees to give me a call, apologize and beat the price for me because I am not making this up, they can check with pick n pay Lemon tree that Game's price is R 99.99 more than the competitor's price and I deserve a price beast as it is a company policy that you will beat p[rices

I am upset about the level of service that I am getting at that store and I will like to request that you sort it out if you don't want to lose customers, myself included

Looking forward to hear from you

Thank you

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za failure to assist with a repair request for a newly bought washing machine

I bought a washing machine at Game in January 2018. It started having mulfuntions in June 2018 I sent my son to lodge a claim in the very month and was promised to be attended to however nothing happened. in July I went to request assistance and they informed me they cannot locate my receipt but will look for it. I called them two weeks later and was told they found the receipt and will send technicians to sort it out, however this never happened. I have been calling every second/third day and I am being send from pillar to post. Upon our last conversation with the relevant manager I was told the technicians said they are waiting for the part, I then asked which part did they order since they have not established what the issue with the washing machine is. I was asked where the machine is I responded that it is at my home in Mooinooi and was told maybe that is the reason they do not come because it is far - come on really? I was then told they will will be sent however a week later I am still waiting. Can someone tell me what I need to do as I cannot perform the duties I need to with the machine I bought recently because people have chosen to ignore the necessities?

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za poor service

Good day

I'd like to lodge a complaint regarding the above order

There was no further communication between the gameonline after the order was dispatched on the 15 August 2018.
I was told that the courier would contact me with tracking information which did not happen
I didn't receive any communication with the courier company
On Friday I called gameonline to find out about my order and the tracking info, the lady I spoke to was not polite and could only tell me that the order was with Time Freight or Dawn wing, she told me to call Dawn wing and find out where my order was instead of finding out for me.
On Monday 20 August 2018 at around 15h00 in the afternoon I called again to find out about my order but still could not get Courier information.
I called again Gameonline on Tuesday 22 August 2018 to find out about my order and was told that the order had arrived on Monday morning at Vryheid Time freight but still it was not delivered to me.
I went to check on my order at Time Freight Vryheid Branch and the person I found there was not willing to help me as he asked me to go inside and check the boxes myself as he was the only person on the premises, I then went inside with him to check the boxes of which I found. I asked him why they did not deliver the parcel on Monday as the parcel was there on Monday 20 August, he told me that they were understaffed 2 staff members were fired the day before.
I'd like to state that I am not happy with the service I experienced from Gameonline as well as the courier services you use for client, I am expecting an apology from Gameonline as well as courier companies. If no communication is received I.ll be forced to log a complaint aginst the above companies in Hellopeter.com and all other sites.

With this bundle a WiFi connection was included but they had no stock and informed us that they would notify us when stick would arrive. I then visited the store the 6th August and they demanded a reciept which they had a copy of. I then spoke to the store manager Gary L and laid my complaint with him. He said if I emailed him he would have it delivered. Today the 9August, I have still not heard from him. Please assist

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za unethical and unacceptable behaviour of a game employee - vryburg game store

My name is Selaelo Mabeba from Pretoria. Between the week of the 31st July and 3rd August myself and my colleague, Mr Johnny Rizos were assigned to work in the North West area of Vryburg and other areas for a week. On Thursday 2nd August, around 13h30 we went to the Game Store at Cnr Stella and Church Street in Vryburg. My colleague wanted to buy a small speaker and a laptop, i wanted to buy a camera and a hard drive.

We asked one of the male employees where we can get cameras; he explained that they don't place them on display, and he pointed us to the counter, next to the cell phone area for the lady employee to assist us.
We got to the cell phone area, found the three ladies behind the counter and greeted. I explained that we need to see the cameras they are selling, one was sent to go into the store room to fetch them, one remained behind the counter, the third lady, came in front of the counter to the area we were and stood behind us. At that time the cameras were brought and i was checking them, i happened to turn around only to be met by a flashlight from the cellphone of the third lady with the name tag written, Mosetsana, i suspected that she was taking pictures of me, she immediately moved after noticing that i might have seen her, however, I did not confront her immediately. We went to look at the laptops, but i was kind of very suspicious, i came back to her, looked at her name tag, and asked her is she took any picture of me. She agreed, by the time i asked to look at her cellphone, my picture was already on her whattsup and there was some conversation taking place, and i do not know with who.

Mosetsana was wearing white Vodacom T-shirt with some red lining; she mentioned that they have been assigned to take pictures of customers to see how they are being assisted by staff, but my question to her was, aren't they supposed to get the customer's consent before they take pictures, and i mentioned to her how dangerous her exercise is because it has legal implications. Myself and my colleague decided to leave the store; i did not asked to see the store manager at the time, i knew you guys have a complaint site which i would use and i hope that my concern will be properly addressed. I felt disrespected by your employee, Mosetsana and she must pray that my picture does not go viral, because, this will have serious implications.

What i would like to know then is, is your staff assigned to take us pictures as we buy in the store, if so, why are we not communicated to, so that we decline or accept? May i kindly request that you keep me posted and also that Mosetsana send me a written apology once my complaint has been addressed.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za dunlop hockey stick

I want to complain about Game Phalaborwa's service. It is poor. Game advertise a Dunlop Hockey stick for R99 when we went to Game Phalaborwa on Sunday they said they did not got stock. Richard phone Tzaneen and Tzaneen confirm that they have one in stock. Rohann from Game Phalaborwa took my number to phone me when they receive the hockey stick from Tzaneen Game. Up to today I have not received a call from any one at Game. When I phone Game Phalaborwa it is a whole story to get through to some one that can help you. After a mission and a half Jacobus phone me and told me they don't have stock. I told him they would have got one from Tzaneen and phone me when they receive it. He said he will find out and phone me back. He phoned me back and said that Tzaneen don't have. How can you say on Sunday for a customer you will get the stick from Tzaneen and then Today there is no stick. This is unacceptable. How can you advertise stuff and you don't have stock. I will tell al my friends how bad the service of Game is and that they advertise stuff and don't have stock. This is not the first time that they advertise and don't have stock.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za staff/ customer service/

Visited Game store in Greenacres, Port Elizabeth for a quotation as i needed it for my trust fund to purchase a few goods. The sales floor had many sales assistants around but nobody offered to help. I then approached an assistant for help with the quotation who had given me a quotation form and told me it would be better if browsed around and filled in the specific items i want myself, because weekends they don't focus on quotes and things, sales are a priority. What happened to customer services. After payment was made i visited the store twice because i was told that they have to receive authorisation from head offices before i can make purchases. Today is the third time i visited the store with the same story being told. Also, how does one get to a managerial position when you lack basic communication? Teach staff to speak in a respectful manner!
I've worked through my trust fund and many other stores various times, but this is the worst experience!

To whom it may concern,

The service received is appalling, I have received endless calls requesting me to do a limit increase. I eventually answered my phone and request for the increase (This was last week Tuesday)...To date i haven't received feedback stating whether my request was approved or declined. I have been a loyal customer to game, all i asked for was feedback to be given to confirm if my request was approved or declined (very simple request)you guys do not do follow ups with your customer i called back and was told to have patience, When I the customer had to call back to inquire about feedback, which the person who assisted me did not advise of a 72 hour response for feedback.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za general service at brits mall branch

I cannot believe that this store is still in business. They answer the phone and immediately hang up again. Trying to physically buy something there gives me the feeling I am invisible. I have to walk to a floor attendant and while talking to him, he hardly looks up to me. When enquiring about equipment, the answer is usually "Noooo, we dont have it in stock" I hope the store closes because there is NO service whatsoever! The worst I have ever expierienced in my life.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za samsung fridge

Gooday

I am writing this mail with a very heavy heart regarding a Samsung fridge(barcode [protected])
28/10/2015 and took out expires warranty which expires 28/10/2019
that I bought with Game Promenade Mitchells Plain Cape Town([protected]) I Logged a call because the fridge suddenly stopped working and had to throw away groceries /meat worth R2000 finally a Samsung technician comes out to have a look at our fridge on the 7/7/2018 and lets us know the fridge is indeed faulty with a whole lot of technical terms that I am not familiar with( he was very friendly). He then informed us that he would submit his report the following Monday 9/7/2018 the fridge would be written off a new fridge or a game voucher? I suppose. What is frustrating to me the fact that it is the 13/7/2018 and NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME REGARDING MY BROKEN FRIDGE! I then contacted the game store in promenade mall once again and spoke to a very helpful employee by the name of Deslyn who then informed me that she has to contact someone at head office. Deslyn contacted me back and informed me that whoever was suppose to handle this is on LEAVE and no report is submitted. This whole situation is frustrating I tried contacting your head office numerous attempts and NO ANSWER. This is unacceptable service ! Doc Number -[protected]. Game Promenade Mitchells Plain Cape Town store has all my personal details

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za game consultants

Good Morning,

On the 25th of June i ordered a 32" Sinotec TV, 26th it was delivered. When i tried to use the Tv to play my hard drive it ended up not playing any audio for the movies. 27th i emailed game to collect as i already repackaged it into the original packaging. On the 5th July i had to contact game yet again to find out when collection was taking place only to find out that the driver didn't want to collect after 16H00 and i work till 16H30.
After a long argument with your consultants they then told me that it would be fine for me to return in store and get my refund. The consultant Rehana Kadir who assisted me at the time requested the stores that i would deliver the product at which i responded Canal Walk, Parow Centre or Zevenwacht mall depending on the time i get home. She also mentioned that she would contact them to make arragements and find out what the procedure would be when i go in store. on the 6th July about 17H00 i was about to leave home to drop the Tv at the closest Game which would've been parow Centre however the collection truck was already by my door which i thought was weird considering the fact that i already spoke to Rehana. The collection person whose name i cannot remember then told me that i could go to the store with my Collection invoice and the Online delivery invoice to collect my refund.
on Saturday 07th July i went in store to parow centre. Nadine who was at the Customer Service desk assisted me, according to her collecting a refund for online purchases has never been done before so she called the Senior Supervisor Mr Galant who was in store at the door of game to consultant on how they need to handle the situation. He then told her to contact a few people then ended up contacting the online service desk who then told her refund is possible all she had to do was use the Tax invoice number and Collection note number to do the refund, Nadine who looked surprise then contacted mr galant yet again to find out what they need to do etc. After about 15mins i requested that Mr Galant deal with me directly as i found it disrespectful for a supervisor to watch from afar and call when i could speak directly to him. By this time i was fuming, no.1 they just gave them the go ahead to do refund yet no one seemed to be bothered. no.2 They continued to call online and look for reasons not to assist. no.3 the online person who they then asked to speak to me was incompetent to do his job.
If a client is fuming, Saying sorry for the inconvenience doesn't work, giving no solution instead i had to wait another few days to get my own money back.
I then stormed out of the store mainly because Nadine and Mr Galant were just as pathetic as your online people who spoke to me.
About 5 minutes after i left the store i got a call from Rehana who then tried to pull a fast one on me and said that she emailed me to say that i had to take the TV to Game Canal Walk and speak to a Mr Shameer or Shaheed. Which i haven't till today received. She then told me that i hadn't to give the Tv to the collections guys and its my fault that i wont be getting my refund. By this time i was red and my words were explicit mainly because she had no Customer Service experience and proved to be completely incompetent. I then requested to speak to someone in a higher authority than her. To my surprise there were no Team leader on the floor, Supervisor nor Operational Manager to assist me.
So a newly trained consultant was in a call center with no higher authority to assist when clients needed them. She then hung the phone up in my ear when i continued to request someone of higher authority than an incompetent consultant who sounded more like she was reading off a script than anything else. no assistance was given instead i was requested to wait till finance got in which is Today 09th July. So i controlled my speech and all i want is for Game to Return my money that i spent since i have No TV and My Money is still not in my account. At this point i don't care about Games procedures for refunds because i waited 8 Days to get the item collected and i'm not willing to wait another day to get my money. Game received the money immediately so i expect my money to return immediately.

Please contact me on [protected] and i would expect a call from someone other than a consultant.
