Trash compactor
Purchased in 2020 from Nebraska Furniture Mart - defective and they replaced. Warranty mail in 02/13/2020. Stopped working 10/2020 and have been trying to get service as we're under warranty. The system does NOT work. Appointment on 11/14/2020 which I was never notified of, had to call the 800 # to hear that appointment was scheduled. Service man came but couldn't pull unit out. He told me to reschedule. Handy man came that day and had no problem pulling out. Rescheduled by GE for another service call 2 weeks later 11/27/2020 between 8 and 12. No phone call, no email, just a no-show. Have spent about 30 minutes on phone - the 800 GE line tells me the appointment is now 12/5/2020 - no notification of change - no phone call - no email. 11/27/2020 Appointment # 062670984. SVC Appliance Repair is the service vendor-816-471-5334 Terrible experience. GE is rescheduling with another service provider. Warranty may expire before.
ge profile (tm) 30 free-standing electric double o
On 9/12/20, I purchased an oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave from Keith's Appliances, Norwich, CT. I wanted to shop from a small, local business rather than a big box store to help out during these times. I was told everything was in stock except for the fridge.
Approx 3 weeks ago, everything but the oven was delivered. Despite being told the oven was in stock, I was then informed it was back-ordered until 1st week of December.
On 11/25/20, I was then informed that GE discontinued the oven entirely and it was no longer available. Period. This item was paid for in full on 9/12/20. I was repeatedly told that the product would be delivered. After waiting more than 2 months for a product that I already paid for, and then being told it was discontinued, is completely unacceptable - on your end.
I was given information for a "comparable" oven, which is $300 more than what I paid. Again, this is completely unacceptable. I get that we are in the middle of a pandemic, but to discontinue an item with no notice after waiting so long for it is unprofessional. Now I am stuck looking for another oven, and will likely have to wait another 2 months for it.
Cafe electric induction range
Delivered Oct 7, 2020 but did not plug in for a couple weeks. When we did it was wonderful along with the Cafe Microwave. We went to use it the next night and had to turn the oven on for the cooktop to work. Called service had to wait 2 weeks and service man came with a new mother board except it was not the correct one because the oven works cooktop does not. He called GE Service only to be told there are 5 more boards that are in this stove. Apparently he was going to order all of them but had no idea when they will come in and when the stove will be fixed. This is horrible cannot even cook on the stove. Pretty bad when you have a brand new stove and this amount of money and it worked only twice. Since we do not know what will happen with this stove after the 1 year warrenty I feel that GE should be issuing me the extended warrenty as a precaution against future problems. This is a lot of money for something that may not even work till who knows when.
GE washer defective from beginning and months between repairs that last days
I purchased GE model GTWN4250D2W5 serial number GF902442G from Home Depot with delivery 5/2/2015. By July 2015 the washer was broken - the tub was off center, water leaking, etc. It took several weeks to get my first repair August 17, 2015. On Nov 18, 2015 I requested another service, same problem. My service was scheduled for Dec. 29, 2015 and then rescheduled January 11, 2016 due to a delay in parts. Thus far my washer has been out of service for several months, including holidays, during its first year. GE kept asking me to buy an extended warranty, which I did on June 13, 2016, as I feared this washer is just a bad design.
In February 2017 broke again, repaired on March 31, 2017 after extended wait time. This year the washer broke and I requested service on July 8th, 2020. Service was scheduled for July 31st, then rescheduled to August 25th due to parts not being delivered. Still parts not delivered and rescheduled again to October 21st. Fixed and lasted TWO DAYS even though I barely used it - two loads of clothes, half full, only on normal or delicate setting. Requested appointment was given Nov 9th, which is today. Service people, A & E, did not show up and did not call even though they texted me several times reminding me of the appointment. When I called (and was on hold for a very long time), I was told they were not coming, no service personnel had time to deal with me, and the next slot was Nov 20th.
On this last incident I have been without the washer for FOUR MONTHS! A & E, GE's service provider, can't fix the washer, schedules weeks out, cancels appointments without notice, parts aren't procured, and leaves me without a machine. Not to mention today I stayed home all day for nothing.
Surely GE doesn't want to be known as a company that doesn't stand behind their products. I would appreciate any help possible!
Water heater
I waited a week for an appointment for the GE tech to come out and fix or replace my water heater since it is still under warranty until 2022, took the day off work, boarded my dogs and they did not show up. When I called to find out what happened they operator said the tech cancel because they don't fix water heaters. I was then told to call GE consumer relations. My appointment time was 1 - 5pm. I called at 2:30 just to see where the tech was. They said it was too early to check. Not a word about they were not even coming. Or why did they even schedule me an appointment or even put a warranty on a product they had no intention of replacing or fixing.
Complaint about my stove ge 24" electric freestanding range with removable storage drawer stainless steel - jcas640rm2ss
I purchased the above stone for my rental unit early this year. tested it briefly and seemed fine. with the pandemic we did not rent. recently we have wanted to rent and tested again and realized that the control panel with the knobs gets super hot when the oven is on. I had burned my hand. a technician came and said the model is faulty. That was over 3 weeks ago. I have called GE multiple times and they take the message but can't seem to do much about it saying that the technician hasn't filled the report. Ridiculous
Dishwasher
This dishwasher is defective and has caused major water damage to my kitchen cabinets and flooring. A plumber said the coils were too hot and melted a piece that kept the water inside the dishwasher, causing the dishwasher to leak from the inside, so it wasn't noticeable until major damage occurred. The coils also melted the basket inside the dishwasher as well
Washing machine model gtw335asn0ww service.
Washing machine is not being repaired by service technician. I have been waiting for 3 hours and 15 min for a call back from general electric rep. My washer broke 2 mos ago and has not been repaired. The company that came out could not fix it and told me to contact ge as of yesterday wed, september 30th 2020. I have been without my washer and need answers as to what ge is going to do. Dishwasher
I was sold a lemon / paperweight dishwasher. It was delivered in April 2020. I have spent more time on the phone trying to get the dishwasher replaced. After six times of repair people coming out and it still breaking within days/weeks I was told I would receive a replacement. Its been six months of dealing with this. Now that I was told I am supposedly...

We bought the unit from Home Depot on June 1, 2020. It was delivered on June 18th but we were not able to install it until the following week. After using it for about 6 weeks my husband noted that the washer tub was rusting about 3-4 inches from the top. This is supposed to be a stainless steel tub and last I knew stainless does not rust. We called and GE sent out a serviceman who said he would have to replace the tub so he ordered one to be delivered here the following week which was Aug 21st. By Thursday we had not received the tub so my husband called and they showed that the tub was scheduled for delivery on the 28th of Sept. He got that info corrected and we received the tub on the 22nd. The repairman came today and he could not get the tub out so he leaves and takes the new tub with him. We will not be satisfied until the entire unit is replaced. Should not have to call service for rust after 6 weeks on a stainless tub. The repairman did give me a cleaning solution recipe I could use to get rid of the rust but that is unacceptable.
refrigerator
ge refrigerator stopped cooling after 2 1/2 years. in watching a repair video, they said there was a class action lawsuit against ge for this. I cannot afford a new refrigerator during this economic crisis, and I am spending $5.00 a day on ice
Portable washing machine
Good afternoon, I need help with a problem I've had for over a month now. I keep sending GE, some e-mails I could supply you with, and I've called and left messages quite a few times already, but the administrator, doesn't call back, or she's ignoring my problem. We bought a washing machine at Home Depot, on the 22nd of November 2019, and we received it on Dec. 2/19. Then we used it but after a while, like around a few months ago, we were having trouble with the release button on the hose which is attached to the taps. We noticed that the button didn't release the pressure once we closed the taps. Since then we've been trying, and no luck. So we contacted General Electric and that 's when, after a few e-mails, the lady, Edith Vanessa... told us they didn't cover accessories. But we did have the hose with the machine we purchased and we need that part to drain our washer. I refuse to pay the hose, as it should be included. I have all the details on my purchase and all the e-mails she send me. I'm getting very anxious and want to solve this problem as soon as possible. Please help me to know what to do next. I would really appreciate your help. We paid too much money for not having better service with GE. Home Depot tried to help but they say we have to talk to GE, through our warranty. Thank you for a quick response. my e-mail is [protected]@hotmail.com, telephone number is [protected]. Noella or Rheo Shank.
I'm sorry I forgot to add the model number of my washing machine. I'm Noella Shank or Rheo. and the number is GNW128PSMOWW AND the serial # is SM601124J . thank you again. [phone # [protected].
Ge washer gnw128psmoww the very last hard spin findclothes end up going to one side clothes not spinning the water out can you help thanks Richard dennison
Dryer and washing machine
In September 2019 (9-6-19) I bought a washer and dryer from Lowe's in Appleton Wisconsin and took them home that day.
I hooked up the dryer and washer myself that day.
When I pressed start button on the Dryer it was making a loud ticking noise.
So I called a GE technician and did some trouble shooting and nothing worked. They sent out a repair guy and what he thought was the problem didn't work. So he looked into it more and realized that the dryer motor was going out on it. I asked him too why my Fabric sheets get stuck on the sensor coils and he said that is normal on that model. WHAT THE HELL... So I had to wait over a month to use my dryer. In my opinion I should of been offered a replacement for this ordeal, discount or extended warranty.
Then 9 months later my washing machine now as of last week takes a [censored] on me and I once again call a GE technician and ask what the hell is going on. So now here I am waiting again for 2 weeks to have my washing machine looked at. The Pump does not drain the water out. The Drum does not turn or even move. There is a humming noise from the motor or something on the inside of the washing machine. The Digital control board flickers and goes in and out on the unit where you cant see anything lit up.
So I have to wait till the 14th to have a technician come out and tell me he has to once again like last time order the part. So here goes two more weeks from then to order the part and have it shipped and it will be another month before I get my mashing machine up and going if i'm lucky.
I love GE products I have a microwave, refrigerator and oven that are all working good and GE brand but I am disappointed in the washer and dryer. For $600 a piece I was proud of these machines and really thought I had good pieces of equipment.
I hope who ever reads this takes the time really review the situation i'm dealing with here because if all I get is a Technician to come out and tell me I gata wait 2 more weeks to get the parts in. I'm done with this product and company. I appreciate the extended warranties that are offered in the mail but I should not have to buy extended warranties in fear that my machines are unreliable and cant be relied on because that's where i'm at with these 2 appliances. Complaints will be filled out on the interned in several places like the BBB, Facebook and more on the lack or quality that these machines have demonstrated if I don't get a response and or phone call from GE in regards to the matter in the next week.. I feel I should of been compensated a new dryer the first time but looked the other way because hey things happen. Now with the washer going to [censored] in less than a year, it's either new and trust worthy washer and dryer or i'm walking. I'm a single person and use these machines once a week or if anything 2 times during the week if needed. So its not like they get hammered hard with laundry.

Thanks for your time!
My new gas dryer filter does not collect the lint, instead the lint blows to the outside vent. Now I notice lint is being deposited all over my laundry room. GE sent out 2 technicians and said that is what it does, if I didn't like that to go buy something else!
GE dishwasher model #gdf630psm0ss
The GE Dishwasher was installed in our new home on 1/17/2019. The dishwasher was noted leaking and a GE repairman was called on November 13, 2019. The repairman came a couple of times to fix the leak. Finally, a new door, gasket and hinges were installed. Evidently, the new door's control panel would not work with the old door's system because the soap dish would not open during the wash cycle. A new soap dish was ordered and the entire control panel was replaced. Now, drying cycle does not work. New control
panels have been ordered.
It has been over eight months that the dishwasher has not been working. We have been washing and drying the dishes by hand for an extended period of time.
Since it appears that we have a lemon of a dishwasher, we would like to get compensation for the old dishwasher and purchase a new one. We have been patient. However, this situation with a brand new dishwasher is unacceptable.

Refrigerator repair
I called GE Repair service on June 17, although they set up an appointment for June 23, a serviceman called on the 22nd and diagnosed what he believed to be the problem. He then said he needed to order parts to be sent to my home, and when they arrived I was to call for service. I called and wrote to GE wanting a repairman to come and be sure of what was wrong. No one came. The parts arrived on July 14, and a repair called was set up for the 18th. The repairman came and said he had fixed the refrigerator. He did not even notice that the compressor had not even kicked in, which it should have since prior to his visit the freezer part was not working at all, and the refrigerator was at between 45 and 55 degrees. I called that evening and told the service coordinator that I needed someone since now I had no refrigeration at all. GE has now given me an appointment for July 27. That is 40 days waiting for service.
Made a claim August 3, 2020 and repair guy cane the following week. Had to order part. Was told he would be back when it came in sometime in September. It is September 29th. No part and more than an hour on hold. TheY said it was repaired on September 20th. That was a Sunday. No it wasn’t and now the claim is closed so was told I’d have to start over. I’m on hold with a manager. She said the parts will be at my house by October 5th which is the appointment I set up yesterday. I’m not holding my breath.

jcgb700dej4ww gas range
I purchased a GE gas range at Home Depot with a Non Stick Griddle on it. The Griddle is NOT Non-Stick. I have tried to explain this to C/S people that I have contacted over the phone and email but they just send the manual that explains that the Griddle must me washed with warm soapy water & dried. That's it. No, the washing of the Griddle does not help make it Non-Stick. They replaced it once because the coating / paint chipped off - I thought the Griddle was defective so I did not say anything at that time. When I got the new Griddle, food stuck to it just like the original Griddle.
All I want is a Non Stick Griddle that works for the range.
This is an addition to my original post. I have not heard from GE regarding this post. Perhaps they don't care or are not monitoring it. The Non Stick coating on the Griddle is now started to flake off! I'm not sure what to do next, as I am pretty certain that the coating is not edible and if I scrape off the entire surface I will be left with an aluminum Griddle. Maybe it will work just as good or better than the current surface.
GE Refrigerator
I made a purchase of a GE appliance via Home Depot in NJ, GE had numerous failed deliveries. I made a complaint, and was promised compensation. I spoke to GE on the 12th of February, and they advised that the check will take 7-10 business days to be delivered to me. I called on the 25th of Feb with was the 9th business day. Only for them to tell me that I was misinformed, and that it takes 10-14 business days, another ready to even be livid. I was told if I don't receive it by 3/3/2020 with will make the 14th business day to call back. I called again today 3/2/2020 to track the status and ensure it's on track. Only for me to be told by a rude supervisor called Christopher, that they can't guarantee me receiving it on the 14th business day. How ridiculous and appalling? She had no regard whatsoever nor apologetic in anyway. I'm tired of being taken for a fool, and being passed from pillar to post. I'm looking to take this to the highest level possible. How do you run a business and treat your customers this way? Without us, they wouldn't exist. I want this looked into by the higher up and treated as a matter of urgency. I'm completely not having this, I spent my hard earned money and wouldn't be treated like a piece of trash. This complaint is about the breach of agreement, as well as the treatment by the so called Christopher the supervisor.
dishwasher
Part# WD19X25278 in my dishwasher failed because the rubber hose deteriorated and leaked all over. I posted a review and you took it down because you said it didn't meet your guidelines which is untrue, you just didnt want the negative review about your product! Many other people are all having the same issue Im having so it seems this is a part that should be recalled but instead GE is charging $90 to replace their bad part which is insane! This thing cant cost more than $5 to make! The fact that you replaced this part with something else means it was a bad part so why should I have to pay $90 for it? All my appliances and newer GE as well as my washer/dryer. I am very dissatisfied with GE and the way Im being treated unless this issue is resolved with a reasonable price I will not be buying GE products anymore. I have been a loyal customer for years but Im ready to walk away. I will not buy this part, I would rather scrap the dishwasher and buy a different brand before you get another dime! How do I get this resolved? I have emailed, posted on Facebook, gave a review on your site and many others. Also filed a complaint with the BBB because nobody will respond.
