GE 5-year in-line refrigerator water filter
I first bought this GE water filter on 01/28/2019 and exchanged it for a new 5 year in-line filter on 06/17/2020. The first filter was defective with pin size holes on the body of the filter, which leaked water on our floor and behind the wall where the refrigerator sits. I was able to clean up the water before any real damage occurred. I thought it was a one-off defective part, so I brought back the defective part to Home Depot and exchanged it for a new GE 5 year in-line filter. We used the exchanged water filter for roughly 28 months until recently, when it leaked all over the floor and behind the wall. The exchange filter was also defective with pin size holes on the body which leaked a larger amount of water, causing some damages to our kitchen cabinets, baseboards and Granddaughter Clock. I documented with photos the defective water filter and original sales receipt from Home Depot and took photos of the amount of water taken from the floor and behind the wall, along with photos of the damaged done to the cabinets and trim. Both filters have the same 2018 manufactured date on them. I'm fairly confident I am not the first to complain about this obviously defective filter. GE Appliance Support referred me to their insurance company, Sedgwick, who denied my claim because I did not have the damaged water filter for them to test. I returned it to Home Depot for an exchange but have as evidence photos of the defective filter leaking water.

GE profile G035 washer
We purchased the GE Washer in May of 2022 and by October of 2022 it broke down. I called GE Customer Service and scheduled a sevice call because it's still under warranty. The service guy came out and ran diagnostics on the machine and said we needed 3 different parts which he did not have on his repair truck. He said the office in Bakersfield would call us when the parts came in. Well, it has been 6 long weeks and still no parts. I called Appliance Specialty Repair [protected] 3 times already and they now told me December 12th. This is completely unacceptable and no one seems to care including GE Customer Service whom we have called 5 times in the last month. They said they would try to expedite the part but to no avail. My husband and I are trully disappointed with both GE Customer Service and your products. In fact the last woman we spoke with (Rhianna) was extremely rude and argumentative with my husband. I wanwasher or a full refund ASAP.
Refrigerator
I ordered a refrigerator, stove & microwave in Dec, 2021. The appliances were delivered May 2022. On October 10, 2022 the refrigerator stopped working. I had the appliance center where I purchased the refrigerator from come out to see what was wrong. They told me the compressor was bad but that they couldn't fix it because GE uses sealed compressors and they cannot fix them. It took another week for GE to come out and verify the compressor was broken and order parts. After another week of me calling customer relations we realized that not all of the parts were ordered. They were finally ordered and sent overnight. I called to make an appointment to have someone fix the refrigerator but they couldn't get me in any earlier than a week and a half. On Monday Nov 7 GE service came out and replaced the parts. The refrigerator was working for a few hours then stopped. The service repair person was nice enough to come back on Nov 8 and verify that the compressor was not working. Unfortunately with GE you need to make an appointment for this to be verified. The earliest appointment is now on Nov 12. So I have been without a refrigerator for 1 month. When the GE repair person comes out he must call technical support and tell them that the compressor is bad and that I need a new refrigerator. This could take a few more weeks. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I have no refrigerator or freezer! Besides the fact that Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away and I am having people at my house I HAVE NO REFRIGERATOR to put any food! I am disgusted with GE. I have been eating out almost every meal with my family. Does anybody understand how much this has cost me? One person sent me $100 and another person sent me $125. My weekly shopping (when I used to go) costs $150. This doesn't even include all of the food in the freezer and refrigerator that I had to throw out. I asked for $1,000 but the customer relations person offered me $75. REALLY? I asked for a supervisor to call me numerous times and only on Oct 25 did someone call me but at this point no one is helping me but couldn't help with speeding up the process. All I keep hearing about from customer relations is process and procedure well what about my process and procedure to have a refrigerator that works? I will NEVER buy GE again or recommend GE to anyone ever.
Desired outcome: Replace the refrigerator immediately and provide acceptable compensation for eating every meal out for a month.

This stove is rusting from the inside. Can you believe it ?! This is so ridiculous. We have a Bosche dishwasher and Fisher and Paykel washer/dryer that are much older and have no signs of this absurd deterioration. Will never even look at Anything GE unless they produce a nifty electric car. ( just joking )
Trying to get redress is probably not worth the stress. What will you do ? Give us another door ?
Get this simple stuff ,like rust, fixed or get out of this business. Its just like Boeing messing up the Starliner. There is a big problem with getting things right in elephantine companies.
(Oh and the ceramic top is worse than our old stove. Had to replace it. (!)

Range repair service
Late December 2021, our GE Profile stove and range stopped working. The digital controls went blank and unit was unusable. I called GE for a service call. Technician came to see the unit January 3rd. He ordered 2 parts. Told us he was ordering the 2 parts in the event that one part was not going to resolve the issue then the other part would. He said that we would be receiving the part. Another visit would be scheduled for the repair. Mid February, I called to inquire about the status of the parts. Customer Service rep said that one part would not be in until April. In April, I called again to inquire. This time was told June. In June I called again. Was told September. At this point, the representative tells me the part number and asks that perhaps I could look for it on my own. I stated that if GE can’t get this part what are the chances that I can find this part. However, patiently waited and called again in late September. Was told the part would be in in November. We are on November 5th today. I received a voicemail yesterday from GE Customer Service informing me that the part is no longer available. We have been patiently waiting for 11 months. Throughout all of this, I kept asking why not ship the one part that had arrived and have the technician come out and see if it is indeed the part necessary for the repair. I was told repeatedly that although 1 of 2 parts was in, they can’t ship it until both parts on the order have arrived. So here we are, no appliance and no other recourse. 11 months with no stove, no answers, every call leads me to believe that the part is delayed but it will ship. Now to receive a call, 11 months later, that the part is not available. This is not right. A customer should not be placed in this position. Where do I go from here? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank You.
Desired outcome: Send me the other part. See if the technician can fix it with the other part that was ordered. I also don’t feel that we should pay for this service. There should be some compensation for the time we were waiting.
Broken ge washer and dryer
Refurbishedwasher and dryer in new home I purchased April 2021. Washer broke in February 2022 before warranty expired. Washer parts were ordered and replaced in Washer but still broken. Washer spins but the clothes come out water logged and heavy because the wringing cycle is broke and then you cannot dry clothes in dryer because of all the water, which can turn to mold. My clothes have all shrunk because I tried to dry them on 160 minutes instead of 80 minutes even a bed sheet set which did not work. My clothes are always damp and never dry even after I put in dryer on 160 minutes and hang clothes up for a week. Afraid of mold setting in. GE has been to my house 5 times in 2022 trying to put a band aid on a broken Washer that cannot be fixed. I am using my neighbor's appliances and going to the Laundry Mat (AWFUL). The Dryer does not run HOT it is COLD on outside, open door and WARM inside. Does not dry my clothes dry at all! I am a senior citizen and the repairman was trying to TEACH ME how to wash, I didn't laugh but he was funny. My mother taught me how to wash, dry and iron clothes at the age of 12! These appliances are no good and do not work. I am so tired of lugging 5 baskets weekly to the Laundromat as I cannot carry heavy items do to my disability with two knee replacements. These appliances should have been replaced after the first two visits. I will not accept that it is my fault like GE Appliance repairman are trying to claim. This is GE Applicances problem. GE profile 5.0 washer model PTW600BSRWS
Purchased July 3. Immediately had issues with clothes coming out horribly wrinkled. Sent pictures to customer service. Repair tech came out. Pushed a few buttons and indicated working normal. Did not stay to witness the massive wrinkles in the clothing. I have used cold water and a liquid fabric softener as suggested and even changed to deep fill water. Nothing works. Asked for a refund and was told nothing wrong with machine. I am attaching copies of the clothes coming out of wash and same results after drying wrinkles are no better. Seriously have never had such a horrible machine. I do not have the time to iron all my clothes. I have followed all suggestions from customer support and nothing helps

1. Frost started throughout the refrigerator. Making loud noises.
It was serviced. I received $100 for my food loss
2. Service July 27 corrected the seal still doesn’t work. Sill making loud noise.
3. Service Aug. 15 unplugged it 24 hours ice pot solid moisture. Loud noise ordered fan

Received new GE refrigerators energy efficient to replace old refrigerators. The grinding the gurgling the whining sounds go through my door wake me up in the middle of the night and I take sleeping pills. We are told these are normal sounds for a refrigerator.
In my 60 years of life I have never had a refrigerator wake me up.
They changed their design The coils are no longer in the back of the refrigerator they are on the sides which produce immense amount of heat out the sides of the refrigerator. There is no way to get into the refrigerator units anymore to fix anything.
Washing machine/dryer
Purchased a washing machine/dryer unit, receipt attached. 2 months later - rust on washing machine tub. Dealer gave us info to contact the GE warranty. Warranty case #[protected], made appt for a tech to come. No show no phone call. Found that report had been closed, tech notes said - soap build up, so this is a lie, GE sent dif tech, agreed that's rust, recommended to replace unit. DENIED BY GE, reason was, "it's environmental", a stainless steel drum and shouldn't rust. Complained again, GE approved a new drum. Took 2.5 months since complaint with GE. [protected]@spectrum.net
Desired outcome: We want this unit replaced, a guarantee that it will not happen again, and apology from GE and Rice's appliance.
General Electric Washing machine is defective
I purchased a GE Washing machine about a month ago from Home Depot. I have had issues with the product from day one of its use and have had service technicians out to "fix" it only for the problem to get worse each time. GE informed Home Depot technicians and me that we would have to go through one of their personal fixers before I could get a replacement. I set up an appointment with one of their individual technicians and had the operator put in the notes that I teach and would not be home before 4. The technician called me and said he was ready at 2 and when I informed him that was not possible for me I was told I would have to wait two weeks to reschedule and that I would have to be home at that time because he has other calls that after that. Upon informing GE of this I was told that there was an individual handling my case and that they would contact me on Thursday. They never did. I want my money back for this defective item and an apology from GE for the lackluster customer service.

PFE28KBLTS Refrigerator stopped working properly.
I purchased a PFE28KBLTS GE Profile refrigerator in 2019, it stopped working properly on July12th 2022. Repair folks replaced 2 compressors and were about to replace a third compressor plus other parts around September 24th or so. It has been 3 full months I have not had a working refrigerator. It falls under the 5 year warranty for the refrigeration circuit. GE then finally agreed to an "exchange". They told me on October 10th that the exact replacement would be available and could be delivered around October 14th. I just received an e-mail stating the exact replacement will not be available until November 23rd. I called the consumer relations dept again. the girl then told me December 8th? What? Was just told November 23rd...This has been a circus from the very beginning in July. I had hoped that GE would handle things better than this, I guess I was wrong.

I bought a new refrigerator just 9 months ago. Ten days ago it completely stopped working, and it to me over a week to get a Ge repairman to come look at it. He says it needs a new compressor, and it cannot be repaired for another 10 days. The repair will require three hours. I feel that such a new refrigerator should not need such an extensive repair and should be replaced. Furthermore, I should not be without a refrigerator for three weeks.

GE Washer
The washer is only two (2) years old and a part was replaced before a year old and same part was replaced a second time a year an half old. Now the bin needs to be replaced due to rust coming out all over my clothes, sheets, towels, wash clothes, etc. and staining them.
We had four (4) repairmen come out and replaced everything except waiting for bin to be replaced. I feel this is a lemon washer and need a complete new washer.
Very unhappy with the way this washer has been and will never buy another General Electric appliance. It is a very inconvenient on doing my weekly wash. The washer is still not fixed we are still waiting on the part.

Washing machine — significant vibration spin cycle
new washer model GFW510SCN2WW, Serial GT339270N provided as part of package of new built home 6/22. First machine model GFW510SCN2WW would turn on but not run. Second machine Model GFW510SCN2WW had a heavy vibration in spin cycle. Would shake house. GE distributor, Manteo Applicance and Furniture, Manteo NC, machine was purchased from via contract with builder, replaced motor. Vibration still in spin cycle but much worse. Still shakes house. Called GE distributor, machine was purchased from, to discuss next steps for repairing machine. I was told they had already replaced the machine once, which is all GE would allow. I ask for a refund. I was told by the GE distributor that they had done all they could and if I wanted to call GE I could. So, I called the week of Sept 13th 2022. The GE repair vendor who was contacted, on the day they were due to arrive for repair, said their mother had passed away from COVID and would not be making the service call. On 9/16 I called GE back to convey this info. and ask that another ticket be opened with another GE repair vendor. GE ask me to wait until Monday 9/19. I waited and received a text from the GE repair vendor that said they would be at my home today 9/22. This morning (9/22) I sent a text to the GE repair vendor asking that they confirm if they would be here and let me know if it would be AM or PM. It is 12:56 EST and I have not received a reply. I called GE customer service for ticket to be opened with another vendor and was told a repair request had been sent out and that another GE repair vendor would reach out to me.

GE profile refrigerator plastic parts breaking!
I purchased my GE fridge 4 years ago and within that amount of time several plastic pieces on the fridge have cracked or broken entirely! It seems it’s just the white plastic that is faulty. First, the tab that held the vegetable drawer broke. I called them and they wouldn’t fix it. Then the plastic on the door handle started breaking and the plastic on the freezer at the bottom is also breaking! I paid good money for this fridge and I need GE to listen. (Around $1,300!)
I won’t be buying another GE fridge because they aren’t standing behind their product. This is dangerous. The drawer doesn’t close properly and any food put on the shelf seems to add to the problem. And we’re not talking about heavy food! The freezer door is concerning because it may pull right off. It’s broken from the top of the handle to the bottom. The upper fridge door handle is cracked and who knows how long that will last? This is not a 10 year old fridge. I do not have a big family using it. I’ve never seen this problem on any other fridge I’ve ever owned. It’s just so cheaply put together. GE… what will you do to resolve this? Pretty sad if I have to buy a new fridge this soon! Some of the photos will not load into this site. More broken pieces to show so that’s unfortunate.

My refrigerator started making clicking noises yesterday morning and was warming up. Repairman just replaced start device this afternoon which he said went bad. I have owned three previous GE refrigerators with with only a motherboard going out after 12 years. I have only owned this one for 3 years and disappointed that this part failed. I not only had to pay $175 for the repair, but lost quite a bit of food as well. I am seeking reimbursement for this repair at a minimum. Repairman said it is very unusual for this part to go bad on a 3 year old refrigerator of any make. Please advise. Thank you

I am very upset with GE and will take this complaint further up ladder if not settled soon.
