General Electric GE Dryer

Received dryer in November. Timer wasn't working, but I just kept turning it off manually. Since it was new, I finally decided to call GE to repair it. (FEB} They came out and found not only the timer wasn't working, a part was missing that should have been in this dryer at the factory level ! Parts were ordered. Waited another week and parts came in. Call GE again, was told it would be another 2 weeks for the repairman who ordered the parts to be able to come out to my home to repair it. Unbelievable ! They said I could have a 3rd party come out in two days, but if for some reason they didn't show or couldn't repair, I would have to wait the 2 weeks for the first factory repairman to come out. This is unacceptable. This is scary that this dryer left the factory with missing parts ! Wait time for a factory repairman after waiting two weeks, is 2 more weeks ! Unbelievable

Desired outcome: Need repair 1- 2 days from now !!! 02/20/2023

General Electric Refrigerator has not worked since end of October 2022, still not fixed

We turned in a service request and the first appointment was to be November 11th. The service provider did not show up. The service provider was changed. We then proceeded to have at least 4 different appointments. The first time they came out they said they didn't have the part on the truck and would need to order. The second time this provider came the service tech they didn't place the part on his truck. The third time the service tech showed up and said they placed the part on a different truck. The following time the service tech placed the part on a Wednesday and by Friday the refrigerator wasn't working again. We asked for a new refrigerator and GE said that they needed to have a tech come out to deem it not repairable. An appointment was made for tomorrow the 8th of February, we did not receive a call today so when I called the rep said that the service company rejected the service call. No one called us to let us know. That service id is [protected]. My husband drove up to the house which is a 115 miles each way only to find out they were not coming. At this point I need a new refrigerator

Desired outcome: A new refrigerator should be provided as this one is a lemon and it was only 6 months old when it stopped . If no new refrigerator I should get a complete refund and reimbursement for the milage and food that has been lost.

General Electric Washer machine in-warranty service issue

Six month old GE washer - NO cold water function. Have had 2 service appointments scheduled; NEVER received a call the day / evening before service appointment.

Initial appointment was cancelled because GE Service Tech left message that he would be there to fix my Dishwasher, which couldn't empty water. He noted that since the machine was out-of-warranty, GE would charge me $149.99 for the trip charge!

1. My dishwasher is LG... NOT General Electric
2. I purchased my washing machine from Lowes in July 2021.
3. Your incompetent people keyed the wrong serial number.

Rescheduled the appointment for today, January 31, seven days later.

1. Did not receive a call the day / evening ahead to confirm appointment time of 8:00 am to 12 noon
2. I phoned at 8:27 am to confirm appointment time - told that the service tech would arrive between 11:15 and 1:00 PM.
3. Explained my dissatisfaction with the process - no call ahead, scheduled time in variance with documented appointment time.
4. This morning I ran some errands, and was back in my home at 11:1 AM.
5. Found out that the service had cancelled the appointment because I didn't answer his 10:40 am call.
6. I have already spent 12 hours waiting for the in-warranty service. Now I need to take off time next Tuesday afternoon.

This is horrible customer service - a complete disregard for your customer!

Desired outcome: Have your Service Dept escalate my issue, and get a Tech here tomorrow or Thursday, Feb 2nd.

General Electric Refrigerator

My ice maker went out, it hasn’t been a year. The first technician had an appointment from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, called me at 12:39 pm , stating he would be to my home within the hour, well he didn’t show up until 2:10 pm. I didn’t open the door because I was getting ready for work. The 2nd technician came out didn’t know what he was doing, wasting sugar all over my kitchen counter and floor, he was stating I had to make another appointment. The third technician was nice figure out what was wrong, he stated I would have to order a part that he didn’t have in his truck, he didn’t have the parts, he placed a order for the part , made my next appointment right there which was January 23, 23 from 8:00-12:00pm. No one showed up (unbelievable) I call GE , a young lady answered the phone put me on hold and I’m now back in the line for holding (unbelievable) I have never seen service like this. I Wouldn’t buy GE product if it was the last thing on the market.

General Electric Refresh LED 100w equiv 1600 lumen Bulb

At over $20 for 2 bulbs you would expect them to last. This bulb started blinking after about 3 months. Used in a home ceiling light, 3-4 hours a day.
I have not kept the receipt, and it's not worth my time to send the bulb back.
I just want you to know that the quality of these light bulbs do not seem to be any better than the old type.+
Not the first LED bulb that has failed early. I finally got fed up enough to send this message.

General Electric Dishwasher

I purchased an entire kitchen appliance bundle (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave) on 11/25/22 through Home Depot. When the dishwasher was installed there was a piece laying in the bottom of it. The guy did not know what it was at first, but then he figured out it was the wheel piece for the bottom rack. He snapped it back on, but clearly did not see that it was BROKEN...because the very first time I used the dishwasher the same piece came off again and melted arount the heating unit of the dishwasher! I have not been able to use the dishwasher again. I called and scheduled a service call and GE BLEW ME OFF! They just din't show up. So, I called again and scheduled another appointment with them to come out today. No one showed AGAIN! I called Home Depot thinking they will help, since I bought it through them. But all they did was call GE again. And of course, I am expected to wait another month for someone to come out because I work! They can not make any acceptions to come sooner. So, I asked the Home Depot girl to escalate my issue to management and the girl at GE would only transfer us into an automated system for Customer Relations to be left on hold. I can not believe how horrible your company has become. I will never buy another GE product as long as I live and I will be sure to tell everyone how I have been treated by GE. At least Home Depot felt bad and compensated me for a small amount of money on this ordeal. SHAME ON GE for treating paying customers this way!

Desired outcome: I believe an apology and a refund or some kind of compensation would be very appropriate since I have to pay money out of my own pocket to fix this faulty appliance that GE won't help me with - EVEN THO IT IS UNDER WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General Electric Failure to honor warranty

I have a complete set of GE Cafe appliances purchased with extended service contracts. The stove failed after the 1st year, called for service and was refused. this was over a year ago. In the meantime my dishwasher and refrigerator has failed as well.

I spent many hours on the phone and sent many emails to both Assurant and GE beginning in July of 2021 including my reciepts showing I paid for an extended service contract on these appliances. Both companies have refused to honor their contracts.

Products purchase 12/2018 with a 4 year service contract

Desired outcome: Repair of appliances and reimbursement of money paid.

General Electric Double oven range

This is the worst cleaning method I have ever seen. It only steam cleans. I just purchased this about a month ago. I have been cleaning it faithfully. Cooked something it the top oven and there was a small spill. It does not come out. The steam clean does not get any soiled parts out. I don’t know how to get it out. Also the glass top is a nightmare to clean. I have always had glass top stoves and not had a problem. Cook on it once and it takes forever to clean. Would never recommend this range to anyone.

Oh also forgot to mention that the glass in the door is also a nightmare to clean. Whoever thought that a steam clean cycle that is not hot enough would clean an oven should be fired.

General Electric Washing machine

We purchased a GE washing machine from Park Home in Duncansville, PA. On Christmas we returned home to find water pouring over our car parked in our garage. The washing machine is located in a room above the garage. We immediately ran upstairs to find water gushing out of the machine. The entire room was wet. We turned off the washer, but water continued to flow until we turned off the water source. We spent hours using a shop vac, had to carry two large humidifiers up the stairs, and used a space heater to help dry out the room - it has now been over two weeks - the carpeting is still damp. When we contacted Park and GE, we were originally promised a new washer. Now, they are going to ‘fix’ the machine. The men who came today to fix the machine now say the entire electronic control board is ruined due to the amount of water exposure. I purchased a NEW washer, not a refurbished one. Also, we had to pay an enormously high water, and electric bill due to the ‘flood’. How do we know the repaired washer doesn’t have other issues? My fear is that as soon as the warranty is up, another major part may break due to the enormous amount of water exposure and the amount of time this was going on.

Desired outcome: I feel we should get what we paid for- a new washing machine, not a refurbished machine that was exposed to large amounts of water.

General Electric GE refrigerator Model:GZS22IYNWHFS Serial: 430298

Bought this fridge from Lowes in July of 2022. Apparently the compressor went out on New Years Day. I obviously called the GE repair number and also attempted to utilize the on line web site. I was told on line there were no appointments until the next week. Calling 3 times and the "agents" did not seem to care and were no help. My refrigerator temperature was going steadily down. I continued to call and ask if someone could get to me sooner and finally someone came out on 01/04/23. Then I was told I have to wait until next Wednesday the 11th for it to be installed. That will be 11 days without the use of a refrigerator/ice/fresh food. At this point I have had to throw away about $75 worth of food. I bought a $35 cooler and MANY bags of ice. I broke a bowl due to having to put eggs in the bowl because the carton was soaked with moisture. I have had to buy baking soda (a LOT!) due to the awful smell in the refrigerator. I have had to clean water and food that was spoiled every day since the 1st. I have had to borrow money to replace some of the food. I have had to utilize neighbors to help me during this. It is simply unacceptable what I have been through considering I bought a NEW refrigerator and now it does NOT work.

Desired outcome: REFUND of some kind to incorporate the money, loss, and time I have had to use due to this product that is a NEW GE product that does NOT work.

This is the second time I done this. Please see my first complaint information. I attempted to call GE again today 4 times. I tried to speak with customer relations and never did. The last call I explained the overall situation and I doubt the person even wrote it down. She then said "let me transfer". I was then on hold for 25 minutes and NO ONE answered. Today. 01/06/2023 I also recieved 3 packages that I was supposed to sign for from Fed Ex. I eventually found out that the packages were from GE. I WAS NOT TOLD I WAS GOING TO RECIEVE ANYTHING FROM FED EX. What if I had not of been home? What if these items were taken off my porch? This ordeal is simply unacceptable and ridiculous. I have had to borrow more money for food, and am basically using a cooler (that I had to purchase) for basic food items. I am having to buy ice daily. I took a day off from work to clean the area due to so much condensation, etc. I also had to cancel a DOCTOR's appointment for the day -01/11/23 the actual repair is going to take place.

General Electric StayBright 300 LED Icicle-style lights

I purchased 4 boxes (2 strand sets) of GE StayBright 300 LED lights in November 2021 with confidence in GE's reputation and 3 year warranty. The lights worked fine the first holiday season but 2 strands failed to work properly the second year.

I am very disappointed in the quality of this product and the lengthy steps and shipping expense ($21) necessary to utilize the advertised 3 year warranty by shipping the items as instructed.

I have shipped the 2 strands to St. Nick's Fix as directed by the customer service representative. Ticket # 376998

General Electric ge dishwasher - model gdp645syn3fs, serial# ms778382b

GE Supervisor- 12-26-22

I have a GE Frig, microwave, stove and in Feb of this year I bought a dishwasher which was delivered on March 29th. It stopped working10 ago and I have called about 6 times to try to get a GE repairman out to fix it under your warranty. I do have a 3yr extended warranty from Home Depot, but they won't send any repairman to me until your warranty expires. My last call to GE was on Wed. 12-21 and was told someone would call me in 24 hours to set up a warranty repair. Has not happened. The service co. (Appliance Service Center) you set up at the beginning of last week, wanted to charge me $120 (plus parts & labor) to come out and assess. They said the model # is from the summer of '21 and out of warranty but I told them I didn't get the unit until

3-29-22. I sent them copies of the bill and the delivery confirmation, but they didn't care so your customer service canceled that appt., at my request, and you were trying to reschedule with another co. No response as of this writing. Great customer service?

What will it take for me to get service on my dishwasher?

Unhappy Customer!

General Electric GE Dishwasher

RE: GDT225SSLOSS serial number GT709649K

GE Warranty

Sir:

I had the above GE dishwasher install on August 25th, 2022. It has NEVER worked. I have had seven GE authorized repair technicians to my house, three wash pumps replaced, control panel and various other parts. The dishwasher never worked after these repairs. I am still waiting for GE to honor the parts and labor warranty. I have had endless calls with Candice [protected] ext. 6) which verge on the absurd. She continues to insist that I must uninstall the dishwasher before the new one can be replaced. I consider my conversations with her to be nothing more than crazy talk on her part. All I am asking is that GE honor its warranty.

I would hope that GE would honor it warranty which states and I quote:

"Any part of the dishwasher which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship during the limited one-year warranty, we will also provide free of charge, all labor and related services to replace the defective part."

Please note the phrase "All labor and related services to replace the defective part." In this case the defective part is the entire dishwasher.

I am still waiting for a GE dishwasher that actually works and washes dishes.

It is now nearly four months that this dishwasher has never worked, and I am still waiting for a GE product that actually works.

My nonsense conversations with Candice concern the fact that is connected to its own circuit via a direct connection. She continually states that I need to have the dishwasher disconnected and removed before the new one is delivered and then I need to then have new one installed once again by my own private contractor. The warranty clearly indicates that ALL LABOR AND RELATED SERVICES TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PART, which in this case is the entire nonfunctional dishwasher. I originally paid $250 the installation of the GE dishwasher that doesn't work.

I expect GE to honor its warranty on a product that carries its famous emblem.

I have wasted seven days waiting for a repairman to come and service the dishwasher, only to have them leave and not have the dishwasher work.

GE will not honor its warranty

Desired outcome: At this point in time, after not having a functioning dishwasher for nearly four months, I would prefer a cash settlement, so that I could another brand.

General Electric GE Cafe Dual oven propane

This oven was installed this time 1n 2015 since then we have had to replace the lower oven igniter 4 times. Today my wife was all set to bake cookies and the igniter that was installed by Ed Wrights appliance service 6 weeks ago, has failed and the lower oven is inoperable. I called GE and was told it was time to replace the whole unit that it was 7 years old and was out of the financially fiscal repair window. This answer is unacceptable. We just paid 230 dollars for the last igniter, that missed the warranty window from the 3rd igniter by a month. Being quite handy and mechanically inclined I have ordered a Genuine GE part and will replace it myself. I am now out another 160 dollars.

Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed for this repair cost and the last repair

General Electric Profile Microwave

I closed on a new home in May 2022, purchasing an upgraded GE Profile Appliance package in excess of $8,000. Within four months (September 2022), the microwave became inoperable with a PF error code. After months without an operable microwave (including Thanksgiving) waiting on parts, and multiple in-home third-party service repairs, I'm still without a working microwave and dealing with a company and argumentative customer service representative that refuses to replace an obviously defective microwave that is still within the one-year manufacturer warranty. This is unacceptable!

Desired outcome: I want a new microwave delivered and installed immediately.

General Electric GE Hood of Stove

We have a brand new hood for our stove. Despite following the manufactures guidelines for cleaning the hood the surface remains spotted. I am unable to clean it and it looks bad. It's brand-new! I have been calling a ton of different numbers at GE to find an answer to this issue. Perhaps the material is flawed? Just now a GE representative hung up on me when I asked if there was a manager I could speak with. (November 30th at 1:43pm) I feel like I'm going mad! I'm not understanding why I can't get help or why I would have to pay $109.95 to have someone come look at the problem. Am I to buy a second new hood hoping this doesn't happen again? The customer service has been pretty terrible. I'm extremely disappointed and I have spent so much time on this. No one cares.

Even more frustrating, I can't upload the image showing our problem!

Desired outcome: I would like a technician to come to the house to look at the hood and advise if the material is flawed. If it is not flawed HOW do you clean it so no spots appear????

I am a retired Marine Master Sergeant. and My son is in the US NAVY and he is going to school in San Diego. He just purchase a new home at 30599 Austin LN Menifee, CA [protected], they have a GE Dishwasher, GE Model GDT665SSN3SS, Serial Number VS792625B. and they have not been able to use it because they have had nothing but problems out of it. GE has sent the same repair man over to attempt to fix this dishwashers and each time with no success. This is unsatisfactory and we need someone to come and replace the dishwasher. My Name is Alfred Jones and my number is [protected] and my sons number is [protected]. Please help and thanks in advance.

that he order parts to fix this thing they don't fix the problem. this weekend the repair man was replacing some parts in this dishwasher and he said that he could not fix it so I asked him to request a replacement. and he said that he does not have that authority but he didn't call it in or get someone to come out and see if another repair man can fix it. he just left and didn't say how this machine would be repaired or replaced. he gave my son a number [protected] to call after the weekend to request for more service. one this was unsatisfactory, because if the repairman could not fix it he should have put in a ticket to have it replace.

General Electric Clothes dryer

GE® 7.2 cu. ft. Capacity aluminized alloy drum Electric Dryer.

20 days after warranty, the dryer completely failed. No warning, nothing out of the ordinary, then poof, controls dead, nothing. I checked power, filters etc., restarted it and still nothing. Twenty days out of warranty! And they won't fix it. I get a pro-rated parts and labor charge. Again. 20 days out of warranty. And this was after escalating. I warn all consumers to stay away from GE. This is the most egregious example of a built-in break down that I have ever seen.

Desired outcome: I would like a replacement or a refund. Or at the very least, the service call, parts and labor should be covered by GE
