Waiting now 6 months for my mothers warranty to provide her replacement dishwasher and store claims they cant do anything because GE is way behind because of covid. She bought original dishwasher in Oct.2019, only for it to breakdown Oct. 2020. She has a store credit for that particular dishwasher plus full warranty, Could I at least get some kind of assurance they are still making such machine and have an explanation of the holdup. This suppose to be top of the line dishwasher and full warranty yet does GE BELEIVE WAITING OVER 6 MONTHS is reasonable
Desired outcome: AT LEAST HAVE CUSTOMER TOLD WHEN THEY CAN EXPECT A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE.
The GE dryer
A GE Dryer was purchased December 26, 2020 shipped from The Home Depot in Atlanta, Georgia. The model number: GTD33GASKOWW; serial number: ZR801633C.
The GE dryer stopped working the week of March 26, 2021. A repairman from A&E Factory Service, ticket number: [protected] visited my home April 2, 2021 to service the new dryer. His findings were the dryer was not new, it was to use his term "a lemon" and the model would require service calls.
The bottom line, I am without a new dryer, which does not dry clothes only blows out cold air. Even though the repairman was required to order the parts mentioned in the note, because of the Pandemic delivery can take up to 3 months or more. I could more readily understand the need for replacement parts if the dryer was purchased a year or more ago, but it was not. Therefore, not only is this an inconvenience, but GE should make every consideration in this case to satisfy the customer with an replacement dryer.
Desired outcome: Replacement new dryer is necessary

on March 12, 2021 washer stop working. call home depot to return it they would not take it back. say they had a 3 day return policy. call manufacturer they sent GURU Electronics out to repair on March 16, 2021. still waiting on the part. we talking about a brand new machine for $593.00 . i can not use.

Dear complaints board, I purchased a GE washer model GTW330ASK3WW serial # HL149831G from Lowes on 7/19/2018, 9 months to a year later it started having issues. I called the number 188877lowes and had it serviced. The following year 2019 or about 9 months later the machine did the same thing, I called and had it serviced again. The following year 2020 about 9 months later, low and behold, The thing did the same exact thing. fortunately I had purchased the extended warranty! called and had it serviced again. I asked the repair service man if it could be replaced and he replied the only way for that to happen is if the machine cant be fixed. Well obviously it cant be fixed if you have been here 3 times to fix the same problem! I was never handed any receipts for any of the repairs. A & K Repair [protected] is the company that did the repairs. I have always been a loyal dedicated GE customer and have had little to no problems with your product. I am so disappointed in the quality of your product and standards. Unfortunately the the machine did it again just days later. I took a 16lb sledge to the appliance and ended the suffering I had endured for the past number of years. The only way GE could ever redeem themselves is to provide me a new washer and have it work for 5 straight years or A full refund would work also. Repair of GE cooktop
I made an appointment for a service technician to repair a 30" Gas Cooktop with sealed burners. Model number JGP940/945. I made the appointment 2/15/2021. The appointment was for 2/25/2021 confirmation number [protected]. I was told someone would call the night before, no call occurred. I received a text the next day informing me the technician was on the way. I was charged the $109 service fee. The technician told me the repair required the ordering of an ignition harness and the cost for that would be between $350 and $400 in addition to the $109 service fee I had already paid. He said the part would be available in 2-3 weeks and I would be contacted when the part arrive to schedule another appointment. I never received a phone call or text so I called GE service line on 3/15/2021 to inquire about the part. The call center said there was no order for any parts placed. The option given to me was to schedule ANOTHER visit with another technician and have that technician decide what part needed to be ordered. Next available was 3/29/2021. I scheduled the appointment confirmation number [protected]. In the meantime, I contacted a local repair company that arrived within 24 hours, diagnosed the same problem, had a GE ignition harness at my house and installed within 72 hours. The entire repair with TWO service visits and the part was $346.00.

This stove was purchased Nov. 24/20. My oven has never worked. I have made several calls to GE and spoken to numerous people. They know me by name now (how sad is that). I have been told numerous times that the part should be in and a technician will call me. To date, this has not happened. How long does a person have to wait to get customer service. It has been 3 1/2 months now.
I am ready to go to the news media about this. I don't like being lied to and I shouldn't have to wait this long to get a working oven. This is beyond being patient.

I am writing this complaint so this will not happen to anyone else. I ordered a GE Hotpoint washer on Wayfair website to be delivered to New Bronx, New York on February 4th 2021. The original order date on the invoice was originally March 5th 2021. The delivery date was changed to February 20th 2021 due to backorder and shipment issues. The person that resides in New York and is suppose to receive the product received a phone call from GE (General Electric) on February 19th 2021at the cell phone number of [protected]) stating that the shipment will arrive at the Bronx, New York shipment address approximately between the hours of 11am. to 3pm. eastern standard time on February 20 2021. The product never arrived at this date time at the Bronx, New York location. I then contacted Wayfair to inquire as to why the shipment has not arrived on the given date of February 20 2021 and at the given times of 11am. to 3pm. Wayfair then politely connected me with the General Electric department in order to get the issue resolved. The General Electric department stated that the item was on back order and stated that the item was not loaded on the truck from General Electric's warehouse. General Electric stated that they will give me and the person receiving the merchandise a time and convenience credit and the item will be shipped out of the General Electric Warehouse on February 22 are February 23 of 2021. The product will arrive at the New York residence on March 3 2021. I the customer should not have had to contact Wayfair are General Electric about why the item was not shipped to the New York residence. General Electric should have contacted the recipient of the item and stated that the item will not be shipped on February 20 2021 and the shipping date has been changed to March 3 2021 are the shipping date is in the process of being changed. This should have been communicated to the recipient and the person purchasing the item. This was not done and these actions are unprofessional and borders on incompetence. These actions also cause the recipient to lose time and money at his place of employment. These actions has also caused emotional distress and disappointment for both the recipient of the item and the purchaser of the item. Please next time let's handle matters in a professional manner. Please make sure that the order received at the New York residence arrives on March 3 2021 (Wednesday) and thank you. Thank you for resolving the issue of this complaint.

Both are about 9 years old. The stove is definitely a safety hazard.

I have a GE Profile set up in my home with extended warranties. I scheduled a service appointment for my fridge & dishwasher for 2/2/2021 between 1-5pm confirmation number [protected]. I left two(2) contact numbers. my landline 7 cell.
On this same day I was having my cable service fixed and my landline was also down. Apparently the service technician for GE called the landline and didn't receive a response. No call to the cell number. the technician canceled the service appointment.
I found this out at around 4:45 pm when I attempted to use the service tracking system. my confirmation number wasn't working. I then called the customer service number and I was told the the appointment was canceled. I asked by who? I was told the service technician since he didn't receive an answer. Now there can be any number of reasons why a call isn't answered. This is NOT a basis to cancel an appointment. The technician should have showed up at the location. Now If no answered the door, then I would understand canceling the appointment. To not show up is unacceptable.
I now have to wait until 2/8/2021 for service. Again this is unacceptable.
Your customer service policy leaves a lot to be desired.

Had the above range delivered in early December 2020...have had problems with the preheat since the beginning...When I preheat to 350 it says its preheated but actually takes an additional 10-15 minutes to reach that temperature. I have emailed and they told me to reset the power which we did...then they told me to have a service person come out...two service people GE AUTHORIZED stated that it "WORKING AS DESIGNED"...and that it takes an additional amount of time to actually hit the preheated number...I called customer service...the first woman told me that the original case number was closed because a service person was dispatched. Then I spoke with Kylee in consumer relations who told me she was the only person I could speak with or call back to speak with someone else but their policy is that I could get money off an upgraded appliance but that they would not replace or take money off this new appliance because it is "WORKING AS DESIGNED"... I asked to speak to a manager and was told that managers do not take outside calls and that I could write to PO Box 1780 Rapid City SD 57709 but could not address it to anyone in particular. GE at one time was a great upstanding company and now the products are SUBSTANDARD...
Desired outcome: Fix so that the preheated temperature is accurate or refund of some money off this appliance

I bought my washer GTW465ASN1WW almost a year ago. Since then I have had to have the washing bin replaced due to rusting. Since then the washer easily goes off balance. I was told to fill it with more water. So now it is no longer efficient in water usage and still will become unbalance. Then at times it does not spin the clothes dry and I need to dry them longer. No longer efficient. I have tried the drain and spin cycle which adds more time to the washing cycle and no longer efficient. Needless to say I am disappointed. I refuse to call the serviceman again because he is the one who recommended using more water. I have always bought GE appliances. I think this is my last one.

My dryer broke just before thanksgiving 2020. Freds appliance, who the product was bought from, took 2 weeks to come out and look at it. They said it was the main board. They ordered it then. It has been well over 6 weeks, with a warranty through GE, and NOTHING. we have not gotten the part, no ETA on when its coming, or any tracking information. Every time information is requested, they say it was sent to GE and still. NOTHING. very very upset and will not be ordering GE products or there "warranty" ever again. We have had to use our neighbors dryer since it broke, causing fees for gas and usage since then.

Dishwasher
Appliance is a few months old, however problem dates from the very first use.
Problem One : It does not wash the dishes very well. ( not I have owned at least five dishwashers.)
Problem Two: It does not dry dishes. We have tried every cycle and setting. The next morning we find the dishes warm but wet.
So we have to wash the dishes before they go into dishwasher and then hand dry them when finished. What a wonderful time saver.
BOTTOM LINE: Your dishwasher is frankly junk.

Service call on 10/30 (confirmation # [protected]); damaged electronic panel needs to be replaced. Service man ordered the part, found that it was back ordered with expected delivery date of December 19 (today). No part has arrived and there has been no word from GE.
I called [protected] and learned that the NEW delivery date is now JANUARY 25th, nearly 3 months from the initial order!
So:
--complaint #1: why such a long wait?
--complaint #2: why wasn't I notified about the New delivery date?
--complaint #3: GE has no way to register complaints online, AFAIK.
Desired Resolution: some indication that GE is aware of these deficiencies and is spending time and money to correct them ASAP.

I bought this appliance june 2, 2020 and I bet I haven't had a working machine but only 2 weeks since that time! The first machine was replaced with the current non-working machine. A repair person from a&e came out and tried to fix, but was unable to. Had to order part, which was delivered to my apartment the first of november. A&e was scheduled to come out nov.27, 2020 but never showed. I am 74 years old and this has created a big problem. The model # is gud27essm1ww and serial number lr002347c. My conf. # [protected]. I have tried calling ge and am told I need to call a&e and a&e is a recording that says to call ge. What ever happend to people! I truly am a unhappy customer.
Built in oven failure
I purchase a new home in 2019, closing at the end of July. I specified GE appliances to be installed in the home (an upgrade I paid extra for). The built in oven included in the purchase did not hold a temperature while cooking. After many service trips, the trouble was not fixed. After over of year of not working, our builder was able to get a replacement oven installed on 11-25-20. That oven has had a F( failure code appear and does not work AT ALL! Now, I am at the holidays with no working oven...
I did schedule a service call but it is not until 12-9. I really need a functioning oven to cook. At this point, I am not sure anyone at GE cares...
