jes1460ds3bb/microwave oven...
This microwave has a 100% failure rate... Exchanged every 2-3 months at walmart (as a courtesy)... Setup microwave, microwave runs fine.in the above mentioned time frame this microwave oven will start to omit an electrical smell (probably contaminating my food!) and then completely quit all together. Called customer service, no such thing. Patrick"duly" noted my complaint.
Being out of warranty I could do one of the following:
Have a technician come out and charge me more than the microwave is worth for walking in the door.
Obtain a special tool to open it up ($) order new (defective) parts... More money... Only to have the same problem happen.
Nobody at ge is admitting fault.
All I can state is don't purchase a ge consumer product, or if you do, make sure you purchase an extended replacement plan, not an extended warranty unless you want to be without a microwave oven.
washer#gtw460asjww and dryer #gtd42easjww
I purchased both on 6/18/18, first new washer and dryer since 1968, I could only afford used. The washer leaves dog hair all over everything! I have tried all types of load sizes . Using second rinse, now using more water and power . I even have to run a load after each wash to get the hair out, there's not just a plain rinse cycle, you have to run it threw. Dryer is junk, lint catcher is worthless, after using all the water, fabric softener, and dryer sheets, the plastic I the tub is a magnet for hair and lint ! You open the door and hair and lint is hanging out and there is hardly anything in the basket . I should have never bought the both of them . Payed for 5 year protection plan, at 69 years old I didn't expect to get this from GE . My father worked for GE when they were in Moosic / Scranton area . He even moved us to King of Prussia when he got transferred. I'm at my Wits end with these appliances . Please give me some ideas. I can't aford to go and get new ones .
glass top stove
I have always been a GE consumer. I have recently purchased a GE refrigerator, double oven and dishwasher. My element on my stove top broke in June. I have an extended warranty with Assurance. I have been told many dates that the parts would be available. The last date was October 18th. Today I received a call and was told November 29th. I have been very patient. They have offered me $400 but that will not nearly cover the replacement. I don't quite understand how a company like GE cannot get the parts needed to repair my stove top. The parts needed are:
Radiant Element: WB30T10080 ( I believe they have this part now)
Board Assembly: WB27T10365
I would appreciate a response...Thank you, Nancy Gray

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. It has fallen apart two times. The front panel clips are plastic junk. Of course the controls are in the door so unable to use.
I just wanted to let you know I will NEVER BUY GE JUNK AGAIN! I WILL ALSO TELL ALL THE BUILDERS AND HOME BUYERS ABOUT YOUR HORRIBLE PRODUCTS.
MY REFRIGERATOR IS THE SAME. I HAD TO BUY A 4 YEAR WARRANTY so I wouldn't spend a fortune on repairs.
I do plan to air my opinion on social media.
I dont know what happened to the quality of your products. My first home had a 30 year old GE DW and it worked like a charm. Maybe you need to consider the difference in foreign made vs MADE IN THE USA.
Sincerely,
Pam Singletary

refrigerator
We scheduled a service appointment for a GE technician to come take a look at our perfectly functioning refrigerator on October 2nd, and after three visits were left with a broken unit. Neither the freezer nor the refrigeration units are working anymore. Technicians are clearly untrained, unprofessional and might we also add, discourteous.
On the first visit on Oct 2nd, the technician recommended getting a servicing done to defrost and replace the panel and filter and handed us an estimate as well as ordered the required parts for us. The unit, he assured us, was functioning just as it should. All good so far.
When the parts arrived and we scheduled our second appointment on October 10th, a different technician arrived who claimed to have defrosted the freezer and replaced the ice box. However, he did not seem to know what else was required and was oblivious to the need for the filter etc being changed. This was surprising and clearly left us quite displeased.Might we also add he was incessantly cursing, cribbing and complaining as he mumbled away whilst allegedly 'working'.
Our surprise turned to shock when, withing a few short hours of him leaving (at 5 pm), the freezer unit completely broke down!
Third visit, October 12th, we received a call and an unscheduled visit from the same (second) technician who then proceeded to inform us of how the compressor was not working and somehow managed to ruin the refrigeration unit in the process as well. He left unapologetic and with absolutely no qualms about the gigantic mess he had created for us.
And now, our fridge is broken and we have incurred additional losses, namely ruined supplies in a fully stacked freezer, food in the refrigerator and our valuable time. Not to mention the fact that we now have to buy a new unit today and live without a refrigerator till the time the unit is actually delivered and installed.
dishwasher parts
Got a new dishwasher. After using it a couple of times, it started leaking. I ordered dishwasher parts 2 weeks ago. Was told they would arrive this last Monday. Was told today that the new ETA was the 19th. No explanation. Called GE and was told the ETA is now the 25th, just because. Now we have no dishwasher for the next month. Do you think this is acceptable?
ge electric dryer
warranty expires 11-30-18. Appliance still under manufacturer warranty. Repair scheduled 9-24-18 between 8am & 1pm. Took off of work and no one showed. Called to schedule another repair for 10-1-18 and the same window of time. Took off of work. Tech needed parts couldn't repair. He said that we should be able to dry on the "fluff" setting however, when we attempted to do so there began this burning smell throughout the house that was coming from the dryer. service rescheduled for 10-8-18. Took off of work AGAIN! Got a call from a rep saying that the part is on back order and the scheduled date that she has is for 10-9-18. However, i a have printed scheduled receipt clearly states 9-8-18 and of course, I took off of work! I have been getting the run around for almost a month to get my dryer repaired. When speaking with the rep Tiara who is rude, awful and possesses NO customer service skills she gives me other numbers to call which were incorrect. I am concerned that this is intentional due to the manufacturing warranty expire date is closely approaching. We have two active kids at home that we cannot wash and dry their nor our clothes. I no longer have faith in the repair department and desperately need a new dryer that functions correctly.
electric stove top
Dear Sirs, I have spent 65 minutes attempting to register my new stove top on your website.
First I had completed half the form before being
informed that Canadian residents needed another site. Then the form I completed was
repeatedly rejected, even though I used the model and serial number provided on the enclosed yellow card. Each rejection was accompanied by an incomprehensible list of meaningless numbers. I was quite pleased by the appliance before I started this charade and write to inform you that the experience did nothing to enhance my opinion of the company
horrible customer service with no product received
Ordered a double range oven from GE on September 2, 2018 with a September 27, 2018 delivery date. On the 27th I called to find out what time my range was going to be delivered only to find out shipment was delayed until noon of the same day and they would have to reschedule my delivery for another WEEK to October 5th. Now I just got a call saying my delivery for tomorrow has been rescheduled for ANOTHER WEEK to October 12th...WTF?! I have been without a stove for over a month and still getting the run around my this company. I am cancelling and taking my business elsewhere! DON'T BUY FROM GE!
customer service system
4 weeks and no appliances! There is no way to talk to a human when trying to find out about delivery of appliances. Each time I was given a delivery date, I was to be called the night before with a time frame for delivery the next time. Each time it was a recording telling me it would be 2 more weeks! By my calling the phone number for delivery or need assistance it was a recording telling me the same thing. Never are you offered to talk to a human to address your problem. If an appliance is going to be delayed, someone should call you during he week before & let you know why! You have no way of knowing why there is a delay! This is very poor business.
I had given all my appliances away expecting a delivery on September 18. Hat was a recording telling me there was another 2 week delay. On October 1 I receive a recording that my October 2 delivery was now October 16! Unable to call a human, I called Home Depot. They found out that the microwave is out of stock. He said this would have continued week after week with no one notifying me. He cancelled the microwave and made arrangements for the stove, fridge & dishwasher to come this Saturday. I put in an order for a different microwave which is scheduled to be delivered on the 24 th.
Believe me I am not expecting this to go smoothly but am crossing my fingers. Never will I deal with GE again. Customer service is out of their realm. It has been no fun having no appliances for over 4 weeks. Picture yourself in that situation. I read they ousted the CEO of GE. I hope the new one runs a better business then the last one.
c by ge
I received a hub C by GE as a replacement for the defective Wink Hub. To my dismay, I received a bill from Fed Ex and they told me to contact the shipper (GE) as they should have told me GE should have advised me about the charge, they did not. To make things worse, the hub is also defective.

I am very upset and will take this to the media if not resolved soon.
stainless steel refrigerator
I had requested service for GE refrigerator because it was not cooling. GE charges $99 for diagnostic. The service person came and said it was the invertor and it costs $345 to fix it! He said I can call the customer service but he wont wait for the call to happen and that I can call later to negotiate the service charges. The retail price of the part was $ 240 and he was giving a 50% discount on the part! I called the customer relations and they would not discount any further on the service because I already got a discount on the part. Guess what? The price of the part on Amazon is the 50% discounted price of $120. What a rip off GE? This is the third time this refrigerator has broken down.
A) it is a CHEAP product and B) they charge $225 for service to replace the part in 5 minutes?
I hope GE responds to this
ge side by side refrigerator model gsl25jftf bs
I contacted GE Customer Relations in August after paying 4 different repair guys to try to fix the constantly frozen water line in my GE side by side door, that has been happening since April 2018. I was told by one rep that "there was a problem in the Jefferson County Indiana facility that the door was manufactured and all units from there have been recalled..." when I was transferred to a supervisor to get a new door sent out, the "supervisor" basically called me a liar, when I asked if there was a way to pull up my phone call since they record calls, (so I could prove what I was told), she put me on hold then hung up on me. After being accused of lying and then treated horribly by that "supervisor" I called GE again to try to find someone sane, I scheduled a service call. I was told by the GE Repair tech "most of these doors have this problem, due to poor insulation in the door..." his only suggestion was to replace the fridge at over $1500.00 or the door at $1000.00! There is nothing wrong with the fridge, freezer, or ice maker. It's just the water line. I contacted GE Customer Relations, because of all my previous attempts at fixing the door and their own tech who came out couldn't fix it, they offered to replace the door only for $250.00. It took 6 weeks, the door finally came, basically unwrapped in a damaged box. The door was dented so badly on top we couldn't install it. It was also scratched in several places. I explained on over 12 calls to GE Customer Relations I am trying to sell my home and need this fixed! They have yet to call me back. I am sending the door back and will NEVER purchase another GE product again.
stove and dishwasher
Purchased GE oven and dishwasher as part of of $35000 kitchen renovation. The "stainless steel" finish disintegrated from fingers and hands, water. Appears to interact with oil from fingers and discoloration with permanent finger and hand prints results. Water stains the finish also. It also rusts. I calledGE customer service today at1:18 pm at [protected] and spoke with a representative who happily told me that this is"cosmetic" and so they are not responsible. Maybe cosmetic doesn't matter much to GE, but it's going to matter a lot to the homebuyer when I try to sell my house. GE is poor quality and doesn't stand behind their work. This is an incredibly poor investment
ge oven
My oven stopped working on 8/31. Error code F97. I tried, but couldn't GE by phone until Tuesday 9/4. Their website wasn't working over the 3-day weekend either.
On 9/4 I scheduled service for Tuesday 9/11 (1-5pm block). I arranged to take the entire afternoon off work.
ON Monday 9/10 I got an email "Thank you for rescheduling to 9/20 1-5pm". WHAT?! You arbitrarily and unilaterally rescheduled my service call for ten more days out? Without my permission or acknowledgment? I've already been without a working oven for 10 full days. And it's under a year old and fully under warranty!
I called and inquired why the cancellation? "Because it takes two techs, and they weren't available tomorrow". HOW IS THIS MY ISSUE? I've arranged to take off work, and GE can't even arrange to schedule the proper amount of staff?
The rescheduling-without-notice act is one of the most rude, careless things I've ever witnessed from a "service" company. I'll never buy another appliance from GE, ever.
Update: 9/20 2:30pm. Two techs arrived, only to find that the part that was directly sent to us by GE (and never opened) was broken, so they were unable to proceed with the repair. The kicker: The first time they're able to return to fix the oven? NEXT Friday, September 28th, a full 9 days from now. 9/28 will be a full 4 weeks we've gone without an oven.
The one tech said "next time I'll order two parts, just in case one of them is broken." BRILLIANT. Why didn't you do this the first time?

I think the 1 star ge received is way over rated. The worst customer service i have ever seen. And try to contact them is a joke. I understand they are owned by a chinese company and evidently you have to contact them in china to get an answer. Do not buy from them.
ge washing machine
Buyer beware GE is the worst company product is not good the representative told that my 1 1/2 yr old washing machine was considered old to them that we should not expect it to last and that is why you purchase extended warranty they do not stand by their product customer service was rude gave me the run around what ever you do DO NOT BUY ANY GE APPLIANCES they know there product will not stand up, I live alone and I am, the only one who washes and it broke down and w as going to cost me money to fix I just bought it the plastic was still on the jobs ridiculous but the representative could not of been worse I feel sorry for GE that they have him representing them horrible never again

We have a 4 year old granddaughter and on 8/28/2018 she was opening our GE refrigerator and gouged her foot above her right ankle, requiring a trip to urgent care and 8 stitches. Apparently the point where the outer (long) chrome door handle meets the interior is razor sharp. This obviously has been an oversight in the manufacturing of this appliance. I would greatly appreciate it being brought to appropriate persons attention to begin to make necessary changes for future products.
Thank you very much and my number is [protected] if you have any questions or [protected]@aol.com
Thank you again for your prompt attention to this matter.

washing machine
Two years ago, I purchased a 4.2-cu. ft. top-load washing machine (Item # : 751710, Model #: GTW460ASJWW). I can't afford a new wahing machine, but if I could, it wouldn't be a GE product. This machine has repeatedly ruined clothes and sheets by not properly distributing the fabric softener that I place in the dipenser. It is never over-filled, and I use the rinse selection to be used when using fabric softener, yet my laundry always ends up spotted with greasy fabric softener. I shouldn't have to wash my clothes a second time to get them "clean!" I'm extremely frustrated, for it just happened again...spots all over my sheets and shirts. I will have to start going to the laudramat just to get the job properly done. I will not be recommending this GE product to anyone asking...how unfortunate!
