lack of service on my fridge (under warranty) for 2 months now!
I am extremely upset with and disappointed in my experience with GE Appliances. Back in February 2017, I purchased a $600 GE Fridge with the hopes it would last me for YEARS. 3 months later, on June 2nd, it completely stopped cooling and $250 in food spoiled and went bad. After someone came out to Service my appliance, I called GE to check on the status a few days later, only to be told there was no record or paper trail of anyone ever being at my house- even though I have a yellow receipt with the diagnoses signed by them. I then received Yazmin (ext. 5462) as my case manager on June 9th. My case number I was given is [protected]. I was immediately dissatisfied with the lack of communication and the only form of communication being from "automated" emails that were never responded to each time I made a reply. I was then told by Yazmin that she scheduled a repair company to come to my home on June 14th. I was irritated because it had already been almost 2 weeks by now that I didn't have a fridge, but I tried to be understanding. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED ON THE 14th. I then got an email from a woman named Alleshia, saying that a 3rd company had now been scheduled for my repair and that they would call me the next day to pencil in an exact appointment time. No call came, but a random man showed up on my door step with no appointment and no uniform saying that GE had scheduled him. This was on June 20th. I then spoke with Yazmin on June 21st, and she told me the part had been ordered. I received absolutely no further update or contact from GE or Best Aid Appliances, so I called GE again on July 6th. I was told that they would call the Best Aid Appliance store for me- they put me on hold. They then said that no one answered and they would give them until Monday July 10th to call them back with an update. I was promised that someone would reach out to me by July 11th no matter what with the next steps we would take with resolving this matter. I didn't hear anything until July 18th where Yazmin left a very vague message with no information, and then I wasn't able to get back in contact with her at all. I was only able to speak with a representative named Karen who said she would try to get me in contact with a manager- then the call magically disconnects and the number won't allow me to call back for the rest of the day. It is now July 29th and I have heard NOTHING from anyone at GE nor Best Aid whom I was told multiple times had all my information and was supposed to call me once they had the part in to schedule a REAL appointment instead of just showing up at my door unannounced. I called, only to be told by an EXTREMELY rude woman named Kristine that cut me off at least 5 times, spoke over me, wouldn't let me finish my sentences, and basically told me none of the information I had been given was correct because I was FINALLY able to get a word in and tell her I had a case number. She then told me Customer Relations is closed, and to call back on Monday. My fridge has been broken for 2 months now. I will escalate this and far as I need to, and I will make sure I tell everyone I know to NEVER to business with GE because of this experience I have had. Very, very unhappy. I will be exploring my options.
microwave oven
In September 0f 2015, we purchased a GE 1.7 cu ft microwave oven, model # JVM6175DF1BB, serial number FF229746B). In August of 2016, it made a loud beeping sound and went dead. We contacted GE, (case # [protected]) and it was, after several weeks of delay, finally repaired. Repairs were completed on September 19, 2016. On July 23, 2017, only 10 months later, it died again. This microwave is less than two years old. It should have been good for at least 5 years, and perhaps longer. We feel GE should either fix it properly, without charge, or reimburse us for the cost of a new microwave.

Incident: Washer stopped functional after recall service
Model WPGT9360E0PL
This is a 2006 Profile/Adora top load washser. the machine has been working fine without any issues. We had a PCB replaced by GE Service technitian due to a factory recall and now the machine stopped working. Called customer service for another service call, the technician says it is due to Display board issue and calls me saying that is is not covered and i have to pay $800+ to replace the board (Actual washer i paid 600+).. i have requested them to restore the original condition prior to "recall " service and i was denied such service. though i have been very loyal to GE with a whole house of GE appliances, now i am one concerned and not so happy GE consumer..
Date of Recall service 7/5/2017.
i have all the documents.. i would like either replacement or restore to original working condition.

microwave je2100sf 03
I have had the model referenced since 2007. The bottom of the microwave under the wheels of the carousel has peeled off. The GE site says its dangerous and may start a fire and to discontinue using the microwave.
I only knew about this by accident. I request a full refund of the microwave or a replacement of a good model that is not a dangerous appliance to use.
ge unethical behavior
GE freezer is not working. Called multiple times within the past year. Each time a technician came in telling different reasons. They all refill freon so it would work for over 30 days. When next time same problem happens, we have to pay labor again cause it is over 30 days! Each time paid over $350 just for labor. Ordered parts for over $2000 and nothing works. GE Customer service won't arrange appointment unless we agree to pay! Customer service also won't allow us to complain to a supervisor! We have no places to seek help!
We want our refrigerator to be fixed and we want our money paid for the previous service to be refunded!
ice maker dispenser issue
Ever since we got our counter-depth GE refrigerator (a few years ago), the ice dispenser has never worked very well. I kind of just assumed that the shallower depth of the refrigerator might be the cause, so I just accepted it. But about a year the dispenser started occassionally making knocking and grinding noises. Then a few weeks ago, while drinking some iced tea, I choked on what I thought was a piece of ice. But after examining it I realized that it was a piece of the drive cup. So I bought a replacement and began to install it, but was unable to to remove the main component from the dispsenser. After comparing the "how to" video to my situation, I realized that the problem was the the drive shaft had poked its way through the front of the unit ! I'm attaching a photo as proof. I ended up buying a whole new dispenser (Amazon $179), which leads me to ask: would
GE be willing to offer any compensation for this ?
home depot delivery of our ge stove
On June 29th we ordered a new GE stove from Home Depot in Lockport ny. It was to be delivered the following Friday the day before a message came to say that there was delivery problems and it would not be there until July 13th. God knows the appliance manager and his staff did everything in the world to find out what happened . He checked and there was plenty of stock no one had an answer. Today is July 13th, yesterday they tried to see if our stove would be delivered today. No delivery time. This morning I talked to the Lockport assistant manager and He said it was scheduled for between 11-3. Three o'clock came and went no stove. Finally about 320 a nice young man called and said the stove would be there in about 20 minutes. We find this very unacceptable to have to wait all this time for a stove. From Ohio to Buffalo is not an almost 2 week drive 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
ge gtdp490ed0ws model dryer
SN# FZ784738A Purchased March 25th 2017 at Menards. On July 3rd 2017 the timer knob failed to turn to set timer. The timer knob is broken causing undo stress setting drying time. The timer is very tight and difficult to turn. We expect to receive a new knob at no cost and timer repair if not working properly. The dryer is still under warranty.

please fix my ge fridge
My GE fridge can't stay in cold temperature and is leaking.
I contacted GE customer services on July 6 and 7; they sent me to their contractor-Appliance Genie. I called Appliance Genie; they said they need service order from GE in order to dispatch a technician. Meanwhile, Appliance Genie also requested the original purchaser's information even after I told them the previous owner didn't leave us any of these information. So I called GE back and asked for a service order; GE said since it's out of manufacturer's warranty, they can't send any service orders. GE requested me to call Appliance Genie and ask them to handle it. I called Appliance Genie and they insist that no service order no dispatching; they asked me to call GE back and ask again.
I was kicked back and forth for at least 20 times and the issue is still not resolved. I am exhausted and frustrated. I am so disappointed by GE's post sale service.
Please call me at [protected].
Thanks.

"awful lg service, fridge not being fix within 60 days, and still waiting
My LG fridge stopped working on May 3rd. I called LG official service and signed a contract under the promise that they will fix the problem. It took 3 days for the technician to come. When he arrived he said some parts needed to be ordered and took the weekend and couple of more days for them to get here. 3 weeks later the fridge stopped working again, called back and after waiting 2 days the technician came and added some gas. On 4th of july the fridge stopped working again! called that day, they said call on the 5th, called on the 5th, they say they will call you back with a day for the technician to go, called and the 6th, and still cannot get someone to come. Called on the 7th no technician yet. My best option is that they call me on monday . Still waiting for LE to contact me. Worse customer service ever!
general electric monogram 42 in. built in stainless steel refrigerator
We have all GE Monogram appliances in our home. Our refrigerator stopped cooling over a week ago. We called for repair and the service man arrived yesterday @ 5:00. He hooked up his kit and said that it was an inverter w jumpers kit. He replaced and said that the frig would start cooling in 12 hours. It's not working. This is our 2nd GE monogram in 12 years. They sold us another one in 2013 after the one installed in 2005 had yearly problems.
Another local repair serviceman stated that this refrigerator had been tampered with or repaired and resold.
I cannot afford $10, 000 dollars for refrigerators.
I am requesting a refund of this product. These appliances have many defaults that are not fixable.
clothes washer
We purchased your GE Clothes Washer on 4/23/16. Not long after that we had transmission issues on a new washer. We called for service and repair which took about a month to complete. Later on another issue developed the agitator broke and had to be repaired. Later on the washer wouldn't spin so another repair occurred and the repairman replaced the mother board and lid locking mechanism. Now the washer broke again and we called to have the washer replace since it has been defective since purchasing. The washer is only 1 year and 2 months old and we have had nothing but repair issues with it. We even purchased the extended warranty to guarantee coverage but every occasion instead of replacing it, they just kept fixing it and then it would break again. We don't trust this product. The model we purchased was GTW460ASJ4WW. Seriel GG155178G. I think that you should stand behind your products and not just repair when clearly it is a defective product.
all kitchen appliances & service
25 years ago we purchased all GE Profile kitchen appliances. In 2016 we redid our kitchen and replaced all the appliances with GE Monograms. The old appliances were all still working when they were replaced. All of the new ones have been problems: refrigerator, stovetop, ovens, microwave, dishwasher, and even the hood. Fortunately we kept the fridge in the basement as we wait once again for the service technician. Actually as bad as the new appliances are, the worst problem I have is with GE Service. I have never written a complaint about anything before, but as I sit here once again past the 4 hour window that I was scheduled in; I am quite irate.
bad appliances and extremely bad customer service... do not buy ge appliances
I bought a GE cooking range in October of 2014. After two years of use, the outer glass on the oven door shattered one day after self cleaning process. There was no trauma to the glass or misuse or mishandling. My older range had its glass intact after 15 years. I had never seen an oven door glass shattered like this before on its own.
I searched on google and learned that I am not the only one, there are others who had the same problem happened to them. I wrote to GE and they opened a case but then there was no response to my emails or phone calls. Once I stayed on the phone long enough to hear from the service rep that I bought it over an year ago so it is not covered by warranty. EXCUSE ME... they sold me a defective and substandard product, the product should be recalled.
I ended up calling and paying for my oen repairs. But, I will NEVER buy anything GE on it as long as I live and I will NEVER recommend anybody GE products.
non drying/cleaning ge dishwasher model # vg10858b
I purchased a GE tri-level, stainless steel dishwasher Dec. 2016. It was fine until performance began deteriorating 2-3 months later. The dishes had soap residue left over the cycle was complete. I had a technician come out in May and all he did was pretty much show me how to fix the settings to maximize performance : run hot water before starting cycle, heavy setting, sani, top/bottom levels, start;clean filter, don't overload, use jet dry & proper soap, etc... After he left, I was still having the same issue I initially reported and another technician came out. This time, it was a GE technician and he ran diagnostics on his computer, stating that there was a heating sensor that shut off and it needed to be reset. The temperature wasn't getting past 100 degrees and that's why the dishes were not cleaning. It was working until a week later, I began having the same issues, but this time with more [censor] build up. I got another GE technician to come out who adjusted my water heater to 125 degrees to attempt the 120 degree requirement for optimum cleaning. Same issue. I called GE for an appointment and I waited another week for the same GE technician to replace a vent on the door on June 15, 2017. He didn't open the bottom component to run tests. The problem has persisted and is worse than before. At first, I spoke with ALLISON (Rapid City, SD) in Consumer Relations and she opened up the case for me. She had an attitude with me and treated me like it was my fault the machine was working. She couldn't transfer me to a manager because they weren't there at the moment. I scheduled an appointment for someone to come out June 21 and he was a NO SHOW. No phone call and I patiently waited during the set 1-5 pm window. I called at 5 pm into the dispatch center and asked to speak to a manager (Baron) which lead straight to voicemail. He never called me back, it was probably time for him to go home, which I completely understand. I called the next day and spoke to Zachariah with the consumer relations department and I accidentally disconnected the phone while he put me on hold to speak with the dispatching department. He never called my back to get me on the phone. So I called in again and spoke to Logan (both were out of the Rapid City, SD office) to set up an appointment. Logan set up an appointment for a technician to come out today, June 23 and again, the technician was a no show (outside vendor). I called back into consumer relations and spoke with Tisha (Rapid City, SD) who could not get a hold of the outside vendor and stated my call was never accepted and now I have to wait 24 hours (and through the weekend since this falls on a Friday) to see why they didn't respond. Once they get a reason from them, that will start the process to see if I can get a replacement. This has been an extreme headache and I've had to sacrifice sleep waiting for them during the 5 appointments I have set up. I learned that ALLISON is my case manager, but had not once followed up with me. Documentation in my case was not thorough and I had to prompt them to enter in every time I called, the reason, etc. I have never been so disappointed in a big name brand and the poor quality of customer service I have received.
incomplete website and ordering information
I had to purchase another canopy range hood and extension kit from a different manufacturer because the DE Profile one I purchased with the rest of my home appliances would not work. I was given information that was troubling from customer service and they would not return the original hood because it was beyond 30 days. I take issue with this because the website information was VERY incomplete and misleading. Resolution information was incorrect and a little condescending.
In retrospect, there was really no possible way for me to determine this hood was not 10' long unless I delved into the customer questions on the website, which is a lot of work on the part of the consumer to figure out that something is not what it says. I'd really just like to return the hood and kit for a refund (I bought over 8K in GE products) but am now going to have to try to sell it on Craigslist or something. This puts a really bad taste in my mouth about GE as a company. I agree that when ordering I was informed about the 30 day return but also feel as if there should be an exception when incorrect and/or incomplete information is presented by the manufacturer. I'll try to attach documentation to this complaint but would love to speak with someone in authority about it.
washer/dryer model gtun275
Bought May 2015 and have had 3 tub assembly replacements, spin bearing replacement and water draining problem.
Each problem meant waiting for the service person and then for the parts to arrive and then for the service person to return.
I am 71 years old and it is hard to carry my laundry down the two flights of stairs to my car, to the laundromat and back home.
One service person said that these since washers have been manufactured in China the quality is bad and they have lots more service calls.
Last Wednesday the washer stopped working again and the service person came Friday, ordered the new tub and said it would arrive tomorrow, but no.
It will come next Monday and the service call will be Tuesday. I have been to the laundromat twice so far. NOT GOOD!
ge® 1.6 cu. ft. over-the-range microwave oven
I purchased my GE Microwave in January 2017. I had to purchase this particular one because my previous Microwave was a GE and this was the one that will fit in between the cabinets. After about 2 months I noticed in the window what looked like a separation about the size of a dime. I called GE as a concern and I was told as long as it doesn't affect the performance there was nothing they will do. Now here in June this problem has grown to the size of a half dollar. I'm concerned that this could be some kind of protective film or something is slipping in between the glasses. I would have taken this thing down myself and returned it to BestBuy myself months ago but I had to pay $125 to have it installed by my contractor. Now I'm stuck with this ugly thing that anyone who comes over asks me what on earth is that? I tell them that it's the mark of GE and their shoddy workmanship of their product. Very very disappointed!
electric stove
I purchased a GE Appliance electric stove mid April 2017 and it stopped working By the end of May. I called to schedule and appointment and the fastest they could get a technician to come was in NINE DAYS. The service person didn't show up on the date of the appointment. I have a tenant with two babies without a stove for over fourteen days now! I will have to call the Attorney General! I've been on the phone now for 20 minutes on hold! First they said I had to confirm the appointment this morning and that is why the technician didn't show up. In addition when I called to inquire why noone showed up the automatic system kept saying my phone number was invalid. What a joke. A stove that stops working a month after purchasing and a technician that doesn't show up. I HAVE A TENANT WITH BABIES AND NO STOVE! I will have to reimburse my tenant for the days she has been eating out. This is unacceptable!
over the range microwave
I purchased a GE microwave in 2012. It is not an item I use often. On 5/30/17,
my daughter attempted to bake a potato wrapped in a paper towel. The rack caused sparking and a near fire. I called GE and was given their customer support telephone number. I scheduled an appointment for today, 6/9/17. I explained twice what had occurred. The service man was rude to say the least. He did inform me that you are not to leave the rack in the microwave while it is in use. He said it would cause sparking. That was news to me. He also stated that you are not supposed to use paper towels in the microwave as they can catch on fire. News to me! He stated it was not repairable..I knew that. He then called his "call center". His words were, "yeah..you know it's the microwave's fault". He was condescending and I was standing three feet from him. I did point out his behavior. He closed his computer and walked out. I reported him to the customer service line. They offered a discount on a new item. I declined. I called Home Depot and reported the above to them. They were courteous but not helpful. BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY GE OVER THE RANGE MICROWAVE'S AS THEY CAN CAUSE A FIRE..
