Goodwill Industries review: Cashier 1

January 2, 2024. I am a Senior and have been a Patron of Goodwill since I was a young woman. I am Retired now, and will be 70 Years old this month. I enjoy Shopping and Donating to Goodwill and also have My Family and Friends shopping at Goodwill as well. Today, January 2, 2024, I went shopping as usual. I purchased many Items as I always do. When I was being checked out, the Cashier who was somewhat rude to me told me that one of the items I purchased was NOT $1.49 as the tag stated. She turned it over and said that the initial that I was told in the past, was the person who priced it (at least that was what I was told years ago.) was the actual price, which she said was $2.49. The cashier ripped the price tag off, which was adhered to the item very well as it was when I took it off of the shelf without evidence of being tampered with, called someone from the back to bring a $2.49 tag and she put that on my Item and then went on to tell me, "People are try to be really slick changing price tags!". I was offended but held my peace. In all of the more that 50 years shopping at Goodwill, I have never had this happen. I Pride myself in being honest and could not appreciate this and thought I would tell someone. I realize that this is just a dollar. But, for me, it is the Principle. Thank You for your time.
