If I could give a lower score I would. I had ordered my friend a gnome cookie jar and a set of matching gnome salt and pepper shakers for Christmas. The salt and pepper shakers were substituted and did not match the cookie jar. When my friend sent me a picture I was upset and disappointed. When I tried to contact Harry and David via chat, I was told I would get a refund. When I went back to my account with Harry and David, I saw that there were another two orders there of the same items that I was being refunded for. I was confused as to how the orders got there because I did not do it. I tried to cancel the two orders but the lady told me that she could not cancel the orders because they were already shipped! I could not believe what I was hearing! I tried for 3 days to get this resolved and each time something else was changed on my account without me doing it. I give up in trying to resolve this as every time I do try it gets worse. I have yet to get my money refunded back onto my card. I feel like I have been scammed! Picture is of the cookie jar and the salt and pepper shakers that I did not order. They were supposed to match the cookie jar and did not. The second picture is of the duplicate orders (two of them!) that I did not order! I hated chatting with them as it was always in circles and never solving anything. During one of the chats the guy was so rude to me! I will never buy from Harry and Davids again! They not only got my 103.00 but they also gave me a really hard time! AVOID THIS SITE!
Recommendation: Avoid this site!
I do have copies of all the conversations in the chat forum with Harry and David. I will definitely take this further if I do not get my refund. I am tired of dealing with their inadequate customer service!
It’s hard to believe that Harry & David makes mistakes like this – their customer service and support has always been satisfactory and sufficient but the way they’ve handled my order with so much carelessness is baffling. They’ve failed to sort out this issue, therefore it is best to contest the payment with the help of your credit card provider. Be sure to take notes of all chats, have snapshots taken of photos showing your chats, and take photos for future use. Avoid further contact with their incompetent support and speak out so that others may at least be forewarned and have had enough of their tyranny. This kind of reputation deserves to be given out.
