Bought tv online. Order number : #[protected]
On the 08/12/2020 I bought a TV online. I have been tracking it to see how far it is from being delivered. I tracked it yesterday and it shows that the item was delivered successfully. I have not received anything, and no one has come to my house to deliver anything, I'm not sure what this means.
Please assist accordingly asap as this is a Christmas gift for someone and I need it urgently. I'm very disappointed on the service here, almost 20 days waiting, this is unacceptable.

I have settled my account in FULL a month ago. I have sent proof of payment to the respective email addresses provided. I have also sent about 40 mails asking for confirmation and to confirm that the account has been closed.
ALL mails were read, however, not ONE was responded to. And today 10.12.2020 I received a statement for an outstanding balance of over r500 with an opening balance of r2170 - which I already paid in full.
I have tried calling the numbers provided on the statement, NO ANSWER. Kept ringing for 13 minutes and 34 seconds. I sent mails to hifionline@jdg.co.za and to query@jdg.co.za, but no one responds. I have proof of all mails, read receipts as well as proof of payments.
People at Hi-Fi dont have any pride in their work whatsoever. It seems to have the same poor and pathetic mentality as any state/ government entity.
I want this resolved today! I will gladly go to court as well as the ombudsman.

On the 1st December 2020 we purchased 2 JVC active speakers for R 4 999 each. Total cost R10 000. We were told that the branch in the glen closes at 19H00. We collected the items from your stores where no terms and conditions was explained to us whatsoever. Yesterday we tested both sets to find out one set is not working and non of the remotes are working, they both broken! We immediately made contact with the sales rep Percy to inform him. Unfortunately he was off and told me he will get back to me today. I received a very disturbing phone call this morning from Percy stating that I have to cover the cost to bring the broken set back. I explained my problem to him and ask to speak to the service manager. I was transferred to Gregg who told me that he cannot assist and I have to cover the cost of transportation again. I was put on hold and the call got cut on me, sure it must have been a network issue. I am still awaiting a callback from your the glen branch. Can someone please escalate and assist urgently. Service complaint
The service experienced for such a small branch is absolutely unpleasant, one has to wait to be assisted when the team is standing around on the floor also the trying to contact the branch the following day to enquire about the delivery the phones rang the whole day without answer, totally unacceptable especially when phones is right at the till and someone is there the whole time.
Faulty tv
Good on day I bought a tv sunsui 55" led sled 55uhd on 28.11.2020@ 11:56 terminal id jhd04901 at carnivat mall hifi corp. The picture does not come out I now have to take the tv back at my cost it will cost me r500 to exchange. I contacted the store manager who told me it is my problem u have to bear all the costs. I feel cheated as a customer because I am now paying r500 extra for the tv. I would like to be compensated for the transport since it is not my fault the store must take responsibility for this cost. It is my believe that when they return the tv to the supplier the supplier will pay the costs of transport. They are my supplier they must pay
Four plates stove
Since 2014 august, I bought the stove r7000 cash from hi fi cooperation, till today I didn't receive the stove. I have been send up and downs, no solution. I had called up one of your Stores, and spoke to Zack Ebrahim (The Glen Shopping Mall Branch), who is a store manager, he than had said this is a mistake, or maybe a printing error.
So I would like to log a complaint, this false advertisement. This is misleading the customer.
Advertising that promotes a service or product in a deceptive manner is unethical because it doesn't provide consumers with all the information they need to make a good decision. Consequently, consumers might waste money on products or services they neither need nor want.
I would like to purchase what was advertise on your online catalogue for that pricing, As I have already made provisions to that amount of money (Sold my daughters Pc).

Screen warantee laptop
Like I said in previous email I sent my laptop in the 14th and they call me today telling me about a quote that they received for repairs for a damaged screen that they do not cover, so tell me why I would take out a warantee on a laptop that serves no purpose.
I am also upset for them contacting me on the 21st day that I should of collected my laptop as was explained in the store but they want to call me on the last day and tell me about a quote that I should of received before the 21 days are up.
Please explain to me how this works as i need my laptop as I'm a student and this is delaying my whole process of working and I'm really upset for the crappy shoddy service I received from your Baywest branch and staff that cannot explain to the customers what the warantee covers on the products they are selling what are they trained for?

Complaint against HiFi Corporation Southgate

I thought I'll give the store 30 days to resolve the issue but to date they haven't attempted to assist.
I bought a Samsung 55inch Qled tv worth R11, 999 from the abovementioned store. When I bought the tv I didn't have a tv stand as I was waiting for it's delivery. On the day of opening and connecting the tv, there was a big black vertical line on the right side if the tv. This is the right side that had tapes on tv screen and I was peal them at home before connecting. Tv screen was fine with no external cracks but I was surprised by this black vertical line on it. I then went to the store with a tv, asked for the store manager who couldn't assist as if he had no interest in my situation, when asking for a regional manager he didn't respond he seemed very confused, don't know why he's a manager if he can't assist with any complaints, instead he referred me to a consultant who'd advised me to complete the form for returning back the TV. I left the store with no tv nor any sign of reimbursing. She advised that she'll arrange for someone from Samsung to come to the store to assess the tv as it appeared to have an internal crack.
To this day I haven't had any feedback. It can't be that you but a tv, few days later appear to have issues within 14 days (that can mean the product was faulty). They've had a chance to give me a new TV worth the same price but "no, that's not the case", they're coming up with excuses of waiting for a consultant from Samsung.
Part of customer service is accept if products are faulty, replace as we're not talking about small amount here. Since they've failed to give me a new TV, I now want my money back. It's an unfair treatment to consumers and how about the ones who doesn't have channels to logging any complaints. They ripping off.
I have attached a photo of the tv as evidence.
Research on vertical lines appearing on a tv:
1. Vertical lines can be a processing problem or a connection problem. Usually these are due to poor connections between the processing board and the panel. If you feel confident enough, remove the back from the set and then remove and re-insert the flat ribbon cables the go to the panel.
2. Scalar PCB: The Scalar PCB is responsible for getting the pixel data from motherboard and supplying it to T-con. If your Scalar PCB is faulty, sometimes vertical as well as horizontal lines can come on the TV.
3. T-con: T-con or timing control card, as the name suggests, controls the timing of pixels displayed on the screen. If your T-con board is faulty, you can get it repaired from Tradikin TV repair service center in Delhi in minimum costs.
4.Cof-IC: Cof-ic is responsible for for connecting the screen to other parts of the TV. The screen gets the pixel information through Cof-IC. If Cof-IC is damaged, it can only be replaced by a special machine called "Tab Bonding machine". Tradikin in Delhi has the best tab bonding machine and they can repair your faulty TV screen within hours.

Product under warranty went in for repair, still not back after 23 working days
I took my laptop in for repair at Hifi Corp as it was having a problem with its battery and it was still under warranty. They said it will be back within 21 working days. And their policy says within 21 working days. Today marks 23 working days and they still have not returned it. When I call they say that they do not know when it will be ready.
I took my laptop in on the 01st October 2020. The store was Hifi Corp in N1 City Centre. My reference number is [protected].
I need my laptop to work and this has caused a lot of distress. In future we have decided to not buy from Hi Fi Corp ever again. The issue was handled with absolutely no caring whatsoever. This is not okay.

I bought a bed online at the end of JULY 2020. bed was delivered end of August. I phoned call center in September to find out if the bed was under guarantee as the material on the base was broken. I was contacted 2 weeks later to inform me someone will come out and assess. Nobody came. they told me that the bed is being replaced without it in even being assessed but nobody came. Another month went by and each day I called the call center to hear the progress, everyday was the same answer till today. I asked them to refund me since well the cant giving me a new base.
I have called them numerous times, and am being told my complaint has been sent through but till today nobody has contacted me regarding the assessment, refund or replacement of the bed.
I feel the service or should I say the lack there of is extremely pathetic. And now it's like they waiting for the guarantee to lapse. The manager are just sitting there and not helping out the customer. I will never ever purchase anything at Hificorp and I will never recommend anyone to buy at Hificorp.
Hificorp service makes me and my family frustrated.
I would like this matter resolved as soon as possible.

I bought a bed online at the end of April 2020. I emailed and phoned them in May to find out if the bed was under guarantee as the material on the base was broken. Unethical business practice by Hifi Corporate Springfield
On the 27/10/2020 I was on their website and found an Samsung 82" smart tv labeled on sale from R41999.99 and with a discount of R22000.00 and the price was dropped to R19999.99,
I took a drive to their store this morning to check if they had stock and gm found that they had stock and also one on the floor which I was willing to take as well, I then proceeded to Ellis to purchase a wall mount stand for the above tv, I then went back to the store and spoke to a lady at sales by the name of Phindile Shozi, who began to assist me, she didn't believe me that the smart tv was priced for that amount so they checked the website and found that indeed the smart tv was labeled as r 19999.99.
She then first said that they now had no stock, to later say that the only tv that they could give me for the same amount was the only 82" Samsung on the floor, which I was gladly willing to take as well.
A few minutes later while waiting for her to return I was told that I can't purchase the smart tv for R19999.99 that I had to go online to purchase it. While waiting in store, a few minutes Later I was told by Phindile that I could only purchase this Smart tv online only and the store could not sell it to me for the same price.
I then went online to purchase the tv and found that it has been removed from hifi corporation website. I have proof that the tv was sold on their website but because I'm an African they played the race card and they decided to remove the add, not giving me the chance to purchase it, while I was told to wait while they were busy sorting the issue out, the store management decided to ask their it services to remove the ads, I find this unjust and really unfair as I have cancelled going to work today so that I could purchase this tv set. I have physical proof that the smart tv was marked for the price and is also now removed. To make things fair, hifi corporation springfield needs to honor my sale and give me the smart tv for the price that they have displayed on the website. Broken mellerware stick blender 800w robot 8580 - online purchase
After 2 weeks, blender broke. HiFi & Mellerware must take responsibility. After multiple emails, 0 response. Took it to Cornubia branch, with slip, sent an email, no response. Returned, made a scene, was then promised refund in 7 days from Neil on 30 Sept. Today is 27 Oct, 0 money back, 0 apology, 0 email, 0 customer service. [censored] service & product
I double checked my online purchase and the order was made prior to the 26th of August 2020, so it's now been nearly 2 months! no blender and Neil at the Cornubia branch promised to give me a full refund of my purchase and still nothing. hifi corp must know that they are selling inferior goods that are below par and they just continue ripping customers off. It's totally unacceptable!
TV repairs
HiFI corporation Kenilworth service is so not acceptable, I brought my tv in for repairs before lockdown. Everytime I go there there is a story and they don't call to update me. I must always go there just to hear another story, I have been so kind to them but now I'm sick and tired.

About my tv is broken and I called Hifi corp to need information of where can I take it to be fixed then a guy by name of Steward he refered me to Hifi corp in wonderpark cause they knew the best repairer, yes on Saturday I hired a car for R500 then took my tv to wonderpark when I get there it was different story, ok I knew is out of warranty and guarantee but they told me I will pay for myself but the mananger told me he can not help me I rather go somewhere for my tv to be fixed, at first why I was misled to go to hifi and secondly is their brand they have to know the best technician but today when I tell Steward about what happened in WonderPark for him is nothing he just told me to look for technician, he failed to apologies for wrong information he failed to tell me where can I find the best Diamond tv repairer
Sansui smart tv 65 inch
I bought a TV from hifi Corp in March 2020..
Ever since the TV has been playing but constantly switches off on its own.. Checked the sleep setting and everything is off.. I called the shop and they said they can fix it.. But they said they are going to have to take the TV and not leave me with a replacement.. The guy who came to fetch it says it might take up to a month.. I called them and asked if I can get a replacement the lady laughed and said that won't happen.. I can not sit here for a month with no TV as I said the TV does work.. Even though it's at intervals.. Good day the service at promenade mall is unacceptable and very poor I was standing at the pay point there was no line and the whole floor was full of employees but no one came to assist me. I'm very upset about the service I got there I hope someone take responsibility for the incident otherwise I will make it my point to let the world knows about your bad service

As I walked into Hifi corp Klerksdorp I hear the usual load music playing in the back of the store. I am looking for someone to get advice and as I look at an employee of Hifi corp, he turns around continue dancing to the music that is playing and ignores me, as i walked to another employee and asks for the manager, he says to me "she is out" and then the musoc gets turned up. This is not the first time i recieve bad service from Hifi corp Klerksdorp, after the revamp i thought maybe this time they will have beter service, but no not now and i doubt if I ever will .
False warranty assurance
I purchased a 65 inches Sansui Tv at Westrand lifestyle on the 29/07/2020 with warranty, the tv only worked for 3 weeks and me knowing that it was on warranty, I contacted them and they sent someone who came to my house and failed to fix it, its been 3 weeks and they have failed to replace it despite them not being able to fix it. I regret it the purchase and wish I went to Makro as I would have been satisfied by them as they are more professional and take ownership as opposed to HIFI who take the money and don't care what happens with their product.
