appliance
I purchased a washer on 11/27/2017. Delivery was confirmed for 12/12/2027 as that was the earliest Homedepot could do. After numerous calls and confirmation I was told it was being delivered at 10:00 pm I was called and told it was not and there was nothing that could be done poor customer service I paid a plumber to be here and took off of work . Sherri at the delivery company told me they were delayed due to snow, we had no snow the warehouse is only 45 minuets away from us where the appliance was coming from.
account - lost or stolen card
Hello, I am sending this correspondence regarding my lack of quality customer service experience today. I called the customer service line 2 weeks ago regarding a lost card and was told for security that a block would be placed on my account and that I would receive a replacement card within 7-10 days. Its been two weeks so I called today only to be on the phone for 20 mins+ to be told that I have to physically go into the store to show id to then have another card mailed to me. The initial rep I spoke with today repeated the same thing 4-5 times about I have to go into the store first..so I asked could he see WHEN the card was mailed and he said he couldn't. I then asked to speak with a manager, put on hold for 5 minutes for a supervisor to come on the line and repeat the same details and she also could not confirm when the card was supposedly mailed. Then was told due to the block placed on the account I would have to go into the store FIRST before a card could be mailed. I asked well why would a block be placed on the account and then told a card would be mailed. She stated that she would have to speak with the initial rep to see why there was miscommunication. However, as the customer I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to simply get a replacement card. Sounds like it was an error on the initial rep to place a block on my account and then confirm a card would be mailed. Due to the lack of consideration and care from the tone of the reps today I chose not to continue to due business with Home Depot and requested my account to be closed and she gleefully was able to assist me with closing my account immediately but couldn't provide the simplest assistance in getting a replacement card mailed out to me. The actions should be in reverse but Home Depot has lost a customer and wanted to send this message to take in consideration moving forward with how NOT to treat customers with all the competition that is out here today. Thank you.
I lost my new credit card. need a replacement.
Somebody stole my home depot credit card. My name is Yvrance Unelus. Please stop my home depot credit card. Do not sell antybody online and in person. Ask for photo identity when somebody comes with my card, I am single payer. Nobody else is on my card, Please help me as soon as possible.
cashier at 4121
I was at your concordville, pa store on friday night about 7:30 pm and i had the rudest cashier, she used profanity with me, i ask to speak to a manager regarding her behavior she told me no one was available to hear my concerns, i come in that store very often & everyone is friendly and nice but her, she is an african american lady that was on the same register as a young man, before i left i ask for the store manager name she claim she didn't know it. I didn't even purchase anything because she was so nasty. I will never go to that store again if i have to deal with a rude cashier that home depot let get away with talking to customer in such a mean demeanor
whirlpool stove
They delivered our stove and right after they left my husband saw that it was level. Upon checking he saw leg was bent. Went outside to catch delivery truck they were pulling away so he called them and they said they had to go to next delivery and they would call back. Never did. Went to store they gave us a number to call. For 3 days we have tried to reach them to no avail. Very very poor service . I would not want to do business with them again after all this.
jeldwen patio door installation, service.
Never before have I been so thoroughly disgusted an nd or disappointed in custome r service as I was with home depot. We have purchased carpet and had it installed through you, made quite a few large purchases and normally come to you first for our everyday needs, but have never ran into anything like this! We ordered a jeldwen patio door in august from your wausau store to include installation it came in and installed in late september or early october. Love the door and great job of installing! A little over a month ago the lock malfunctioned, couldnt get in or out. Contacted wausau store they said did not know who was responsible, home depot or jeldwen. Nobody returned my call. After a few days I called back they said someone would be in touch. After roughly another week called store manager said he would take care of it some one would contact me, anyway after a month it was finally fixed but home depot did not know who fixed it I got two calls after the fact to set up a time to repair it. Still havent got an apology or anything on the length of time it took. For the time and effort it took to get it repaired I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed, that was terrible home depot!
flooring
An associate came to my home and measured for new flooring that I was going to order. I went into the store and ordered flooring, however, they never called me when I came in and I had to call myself to find out when to pick it up. Then, after several weeks of waiting for the insulation, two men from an area that is not close to here drove all the way up to my house for installation only to find that the floor was not leveled enough to do the lock in play style that I chose. Wouldn't the woman measuring have noticed this? So I took the flooring back into the store and I was told to order sheet vinyl instead. I was told there was going to be an additional $340 of the $1, 900 I already paid due to the fact that they're saying that the installation was $1, 700 itself. I declined the installation and hired a private man to install the sheet vinyl for me. He is actually in my house right now doing it and he said first off that there is no reason that the lock in place just couldn't have been done because if they would have done it horizontally instead of vertically there should have been a problem. Also, I was charged for and cut twice the amount of the sheet vinyl that I need for that room. I'm extremely unhappy with this store. The store is in Saint Clair Pennsylvania. I swirched from lowes to home depot due to numverous issues with Lowes, but looks like the same issues happen here .

non acceptance of military discount
I visited a Home Depot store in Hilliard Ohio to purchase a gift for my Veteran husband for Christmas. He wanted a couple of items from a flier that he had seen for Riobi products which were discounted. (Buy one get on free) When the VA discount card was mentioned they told me that they would not accept the card for the discount for a buy one get one free deal.
I was stunned! I guess a mans service to this country is not worth a $19.40 discount to Home Depot.
Needless to say, I will take out business elsewhere.

non-delivery of appliance
Went to Home Depot on Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio, in last week of November 2017 and purchased a Samsung Gas Range and Samsung Microwave. Was told gas range would be delivered Dec 8, but that the microwave was on back order until late January 2018. We said that's fine.
They said a delivery scheduling rep would call the day before
(Dec 7) to let us know the delivery time window. However, we received no call. We called them at 7:30 PM to ask about the delivery time. They said call back at 8:00 AM tomorrow morning.
Dec 8 arrived and we called them at 8:00 AM. They then said microwave was available for delivery, but that the range was on back order until January 2018! WHAT?
Called "Customer Care" [protected]) and registered a complaint with Khadija, the customer care rep for Home Depot. She told me that indeed, Home Depot had the range in stock when we bought it, but as deliveries went on, they ran out of stock before they could deliver ours. As of this writing, Khadija is working on finding us an equal or better range to get delivered in place of the one we purchased.
I am super-unhappy about this whole experience, as our old range doesn't work and we REALLY NEED this new range. I will be searching for some store who has the product IN STOCK and available for IMMEDIATE DELIVERY!
As for Home Depot, they used to be good, but now they are just a loosely associated group of losers, and I will be shopping elsewhere in the future!
delayed flooring installation
My husband and I went to the Home Depot in Cordova, Tennessee store number 704, on November 15, 2017 to have laminate flooring installed in our home. We were told by the Home Depot employee that helped us that they already had our flooring in stock at the store and all we had to do was wait for the transitioners to be ordered and shipped to the store. The Home Depot employee told us that it would only take a couple of days and that we should receive a call from them within a week so that the items could be delivered and so they could schedule a date for them to come install the flooring. We figured that there would be some type of delay due to it being the holiday season but after not hearing anything for almost 3 weeks we finally gave Home Depot a call. On December 1, 2017 my husband called to check on the status of our order and he was told that the items that needed to be ordered were shipping that day and that once again we should be getting a call once they arrive to the store... a few days go by and still no call. Finally on December 6 my husband went to the Home Depot store where a Home Depot associate tried to tell him again that the items were shipping that day. The associate then went on to say that our flooring should have gotten installed no later than November 28, 2017. My husband then asked to speak to a manager, however because it was so late in the evening my husband was told that the manager had already left for the day but he was given a number to call in case no one contacted him the next day. On December 7, 2017 my husband went back to Home Depot and was told that our items were being delivered to our home on December 9, 2017 and that they should be installed by December 14. We removed the carpet in our home ourselves and had been living with only concrete flooring for almost a month with the hopes of our laminate flooring being installed soon. I asked if any discounts or refunds were going to be given to us for the delay and we were told no. I find this unacceptable and very unprofessional. My husband and i opened up a Home Depot card with the hopes of making many more purchases from the store, however if treatment like this continues i find that to be highly unlikely.
hot water heater
Date of Incident: 11/25/17
Order #: W908281170
My hot water heater went out and I needed to get another one. I am going through a financial struggle so my uncle told me that he would purchase me the hot water heater to help my family out. We went to the Home Depot store in Milford, Ohio. He purchased me a hot water heater and installation kit at the store and they had to do it online since they didn't have it in the store. He was told that he couldn't use his military discount because it was being purchased online but when the items come in he could return them and then repurchase them with him using his military discount. When we went to the store to pick the items up the associate at the store told us that we couldn't use his military discount because it was an online item but we explained to her what the associate had told us what we had to do for him to use his military discount. He is on a fixed income and he was just trying to help me but now he had to pay more for something when they told us he could use his discount. He was going to return it and order one from Lowes because they told him he could use his military discount there but I told him I would contact Home Depot first to see if there was anything can be done about it.
You will need to contact Home Depot directly. It is likely they will not see your complaint here.
The cost of the water heater is minimal, as would be any discount (likely around $30). The bigger cost is having out installed.
window installation
We were promised a complete 3 window installation and after having the date moved 3 times and pushed out 3 weeks they day was set (one day before our granite countertops were to be installed which included a kitchen window that my contractor needed to be present for due to a new sill being installed after the existing metal window was removed. The installer was scheduled by a guy named K O (KAARE O ERICKSON). I received a call from the installer that he wasn't given correct information, didn't have a large enough vehicle to transport my windows and he would not be able to perform the install. I replied we needed at the least the kitchen window in due to the granite going in the next day. The installer showed up at 3:30 (start was scheduled for 7:00am) with only one window and without the proper tools to remove and install the window, the Home Depot installer then asked my contractor if he could borrow his tools to do the job, which he said sure. Once the window was being installed we noticed it was crooked and the installer said it was supposed to be like that (I took pictures) I then called K O to complain and he said there was nothing he could do and said he would come out to look at the job the next day. I replied to KO, no please don't come out until the end of the week to discuss the utter failure because we had the granite countertops going in that next day. While the Precision countertop guys were bring in the counters the next morning I was in my kitchen and all of the sudden there was this guy KO in my home! Uninvited and acting like he was supposed to be there. I reminded him that I said I didn't want to discuss this until the end of the week due to the stress of the day before during the botched window install, KO was very presumptuous and pushy and left my home for me to go out and find him waiting in my garage! I had to ask him again to leave and we would discuss the horrific customer service at the end of the week. Remodeling is stressful enough without having to deal with true incompetence which is how we were treated. I sent KO several e-mails asking for him to have his boss call me and in e-mails he responded in writing that I was wrong and The installation wasn't s complete failure. The one window your installer did put in is crooked and off by 1/4" high on the right side. After spending several hours dealing with this and calling Home Depot multiple times trying to get closure with store managers i'm left without any satisfaction. The job is #[protected] and I'm sure you'll see what I've been going through in the notes.

We contracted with Home Depot for Simonton windows for our cabin. The window wrap (aluminum that covers the wood sills to match window frame color) is supposed to match the green color of the window frames. Windows arrived on time but on the installation date 8/24/21 the contractor was a no call / no show. Since then, and its only been one week, I have been unable to get resolution and a specific install date or lead-time. Apparently the green colored aluminum is not available (at least this is the reason given). We have rotten wood in the old window frames and sills and are concerned about water entering the home. The Home Depot installation Service is poor and not very responsible. The manager would not even return my call. The coordinator tries hard but has not been able to provide a solution and facts. After reading all the complaints from other HD window customers we are very concerned that this will become a lengthy delay with poor responses. Beware when working with Home Depot as they may not be able to deliver on what they sell, i.e. window colors may not be properly supported with supply of materials.
wrongly sent and missing products, no getting answers from anyone at store #6378
I have purchased more than 30K in store #6378 (Hialeah, Florida) on two separate occasions. The goods were to be exported outside the US and remained in a Miami warehouse for several months due to a personal emergency.
Upon receiving them, I realized that there were 2 problems with my order.
1st: The 2 additional windows ordered in my second purchase were not the same as the first 15 windows, although I was adamant about the fact that they should be the same and was assured of that by the people I was in contact (please see the pictures included where it is evident that the windows are not the same, the grille pattern is misssing)
2nd: Some items of my order, which was paid in cash were not delivered and are missing from the goods I received.
I wrote to the store and called several times and at first I was assured that they would take care of the problem.
Now, after a couple of months of mails and phone calls to several people in that store, no one is taking the responsibility of solving my problem.
I was confident that your employees would honor your values regarding excellent customer services, doing the right thing and respecting all people and was always impressed by your inverted pyramid where customers are at the top of your priorities.
However, the people of the mentioned store do not seem to comply with those values.
I have sent mails and also spoken to the following persons and no one seems to be willing to accept the mistake made by the store and send me the correct and missing products:
Marcela Panizo, Christie Dixon, Yoan Caballero and finally Allen Mejuto the store manager
If you would be so kind as to send me an e-mail address so I can forward you all the details of my odyssey with the home Depot Store #6378
I am confident that someone who reads the story will act appropriately and solve my long overdue claim.
My name is Jaime Rocabado and my e-mail address is: [protected]@gmail.com
I am currently living in Bolivia and that is where everything I bought form the Home depot was sent.
charge dispute
January, 2017, I walked into the Home Depot on Route 440 in Jersey City to purchase a few items. I tried to use my Home depot card, but I was told the charge was denied. I left the store without an item. One month later I received a bill with the charge on it. I walked in the store to dispute the charge, as stated to do on the website. The manager I spoke with stated he would investigate the charge and get back to me. He did no such thing. I have visited this store over 20 times, speaking to different managers to get this resolved. All I'm receiving is a run around and a bunch of lies. They are horrible with customer service.
What kind of item was it? Did you sign for it?
chainsaw noise
I live next to HD in Costa Mesa, CA. The residents and surrounding businesses are being subjected to constant chainsaw noise throughout the day and night. This has been happening everyday since 11/24 and will continue until 12/24. It is annoying, stressful and damaging to hearing of HD customers and employees. I will be filing a complaint with Costa Mesa code enforcement and OSHA if it doesn't cease within 24 hours.
Hi Robert. It's good to make your acquaintance.
Your complaint indicates you know why the noise is taking place, as you're aware as to when the project is to end. Are you aware as to what the code actually allows for?
http://www.costamesaca.gov/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=6604. You can see from page 6 that the highest acceptable exterior noise level is 55 dba. Chainsaws are rated at 110 dba which is proven to cause hearing damage. What is truly distressing, a Chuck E. Cheese is located within a few yards of where the chainsaw is being used so children are being exposed to hearing damage. Chainsaws are also incredibly dangerous tools, which is probably why most Christmas tree sellers don't use them. I hope Home Depot will take this seriously and stop this practice (not only this year but years to come). Thank you.
Asurion extended warranty service
Submitted claim #[protected] 11-25-17 with a due date of 11-28. Service never called and missed the appointment. I contacted the service dept three times and never received a call back to reschedule. Asurion then changed my service center and gave me a new tentative due date. I did receive a call from them stating they could not make the tentative due date...

My name is Tammy Masid. We spent over $8000.00 dollars at the Scottsbluff Home Depot. And let me tell you what a nightmare this has been. The installation company ( Home solutions) out of Colorado is the company that did out installation. The came on a Wednesday and said they would be done the next day which would be a Thursday. The came to our house with a crew of about 5 guys. A week and a half later they are still there and the house is a disaster. The damage to the walls and the wall and floor moldings along with the kitchen cupboards and the wet bar in the basement is terrible. They left a young man there most of the time by himself. Once in awhile another person would show up and stay for a hour of so and then leave. There was also drinking on the job, They left there beer cans all over the place and I have pictures. I also have pics of the work they did and the damage to the house. This is rental property and my renter was not able to get into the house when he was told he could. He then had to stay in a motel for five days at a cost of $450.00. He expects me to either take it off of his $2000 a month rent or reimburse him for his motel stay. The house was just painted at a cost of $3500.00 which now has to be redone in spots and holes have to be repaired were they gouged the walls. I have a estimate of $750.00 on repainting and patching of the holes. I don't know what to do about the damage to the woodwork and the cupboards. A person just can't replace a piece of the molding with out replacing all of it because it won't match. The home Depot manager came over to see the work and damage and sais it was worse than what I told him. Call the Scottsbluff Home depot and talk to him. Home Solutions have been notified and is basically ignoring us. Told me it would be months before they can get back to the house to fix it. All of the wood flooring is going to have to be totally torn up and reinstalled. My renter works nights and sleeps during the day, so the workers are going to have to accommodate him and not work during the day while he is sleeping. This company hires drunks that came into our home and damages it. They even had to nerve to ask if we would let them come back and try again. REALLY? Home Depot is responsible for this mess. You hire these people to represent you and this is the kind of job we get? I will be calling my state legislature on this matter if I don't get something done ASAP.
the store
Just submitting this cause a particular Store #4004 has major issues lately. Just happens to be the closest store to us and have been going there since 2001. Past few months the store is cluttered as in you can barely get the carts down any isles except 2 or 3 of them. Very difficult when buying a lot of stuff for business here. The last two times I have also needed plywood cut and the machine is broken not sure if it broke twice or just been down for two months. Today put me over the edge since I had to wait 20 minutes just to get the lumber guy there to say the machine is broke. Last item that is probably more a customer issue is they allow dogs in the store earlier this summer I was loading some doors and someone let there dog just piss on the floor and walk away this is horrible for other customers and as a dog lover why bring your dog with you into a home depot? This is a place for business not a dog park!
trouble getting a washer/ dryer delivered
We bought a washer/dryer and gave them our address. A delivery day was set. The delivery company called the day before to confirm and they had the wrong address, I corrected it. I also called Home Depot to correct the address, I was put on hold and spoke to 3 different people. Today the delivery driver called 1 hr before the end of the 4 hr time frame. He had the wrong address. I corrected it . Then, the delivery company base employee called and I gave her my address. She said that the washer/ dryer wouldn't be delivered today. I called Home Depot and asked to talk to a manager (Aberdeen, Md) store. Was told that she is in a meeting. Now I have to take another day off of work for this So angry!
Sounds similar to the issue I am having with them and their delivery company
Where did they get the 'wrong address'? Was this a previous address?
kraftmaid cabinets
Order #H0478-49951. I have had major issues with this order. Cabinets were delivered damaged and the delivery service was deplorable. Local salesperson and Kraftmaid rep from Phoenix came to the house to inspect product. Both agreed I had a legitimate complaint. Rep took inventory for replacement order. When reorder was ready there was no rail container so delayed yet another week. Delivery was finally made but the quality still wasn't there. Not cabinets had been reordered and shelving and doors had not been relaced. I asked for compensation for sub quality cabinets Kraftmaid compensated the shipping amount and the local store matched the amount. This isn't agreeable to me since I still have damaged goods and my time frame for completing the kitchen job is now 2 months out. I no longer want the cabidets and request a full refund. This product use to be of higher quality. I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding this matter. I hope I don't need to involve the BBB. Thank you.
interior door
back in August of this year I started teaching piano lessons out of my home and was in desperate need of a door to block off the room that I was working in to keep my dogs out and to block out the noise. After shopping around I was very impressed with what I found at my local Home Depot in Erie pa. I decided to order the door on July 30 2017 and paid for the door the next day. The original paper states that the quote on the price they gave me was valid until 8/ 25 / 2017 because that is when the installation would begin and the end date they put on the paperwork was 9/24/2017. The original ref number on my order was W04 and the SKU number was [protected] and the price I paid was 631.28. We got a call two days later to tell me that the contractor who was suppose to come measure to install the door was on vacation so it would not be until the middle of September until he was to be back. We were failed to be told that when we ordered the door but just let it go. The contractor finally came and measured the door and I was told once it came in that we would be called for an installation. Two weeks had gone by and I called the store to see what the status of the door was ( now it being the beginning of oct) I was told my order had been cancelled because the door measurements that were recorded by the Home Depot associate were incorrect and they had to make me a new door. By this time I had already lost three piano clients due to the distractions to my students due to not having my door. Finally the first of November the contractors came to install my door. On top of them breaking the molding on my door way when they were removing it, they ended up not being able to install the door because whoever put the new order in at Home Depot put the wrong side that the door was to swing outward. So they left and said that a third order was to be put in for them to make me a door for the third time. I got a call last week and my new door is in but was told that they are booked for the rest of the year and they can't come to install it until January 3rd. So right now I have no door, I lost income from clients who have left and have a broken molding. I am supposed to be hosting a Christmas party and am embarrassed to have broken molding because I take pride in my house. My husband tried to get the store to move up the installation or to have someone at least come and fix my molding but they said they are booked and there is nothing they can do. I am extremely upset because I don't know why this is all happening, and I am more upset that this has interfered with my business and I have lost income. I feel that I deserve a discount or even a full refund as well as someone coming to install my door and fix the molding they they broke! The only reason I am not cancelling my order at this point is because the door is made and I desperately need it! I would like a response to tell me how this someone is going to make this situation better.

14 foot steel driveway gateOur Commitment
We make sure all complaints and reviews are from real people sharing genuine experiences.
We offer easy tools for businesses and reviewers to solve issues together. Learn how it works.
We support and promote the right for reviewers to express their opinions and ideas freely without censorship or restrictions, as long as it's respectful and within our Terms and Conditions, of course ;)
Our rating system is open and honest, ensuring unbiased evaluations for all businesses on the platform. Learn more.
Personal details of reviewers are strictly confidential and hidden from everyone.
Our website is designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and absolutely free for everyone to use.
For any deliveries (appliances, electric, etc.), it's always best to wait until you have the item before scheduling someone to install it. Any unforeseen delay can occur and waiting to schedule these services can save you money.
It's a little difficult to understand the full complaint as there is a lot of run on sentences. If there was a problem with weather, I can't blame them.
