dishwasher installation
I.bought a dish washer on July 1 2017, delivery on July 6th. The delivery guys told me that the installatiin cannot happen since the valve under the sink is corroded. Got it fixed for 100$ on July 8th. The agony of installation started after this from home depot. Even after paying for installation and following up several times..no reply from home depot or any third party for several days. The dish washer has been sitting up in my kitchen for more than 25 days. Customer service at home depot sucks big time.. don't go to home depot even if any appiances has deal..pay that extra money and sit back and relax.
assistant manager bob
My name is vanessa espinoza i went to the 1320 eastlake parkway home depot on 7/24/2017 at about 7pm with my friend brenda. We came to purchase sod for her house but they were sold out. We continue to shop around for household items the assistant manager made a extremely rude comment to me after he had already been following me around which he was making me feel very uncomfortable. The very rude comment was "awe really all that walking around to buy nothing" and he grabbed my shopping cart and started to say he was waiting for me to steal. See i was going to exit the store to look at the hanging flower plants and i had asked the woman the register if i could leave my shopping cart there so i could look at a couple of items outside and that i would be coming back in
ordered a shed online and was told three different times it was being delivered by an outside company, estes, and nothing
My boss posted this on social media:
******Warning******* It is my personal suggestion for what it is worth is to never make a major purchase from #HomeDepot. We ordered two sheds for our back yard. When we were given our first delivery date we dismantled our old shed and put the contents in my backyard because no rain was predicted. That date came and went with no return call from Home Depot. We then received a second delivery date which also came and went without a return call and then the rain started. We moved as much as possible to cover and finally received a call from Home Depot. We were informed that they contracted the delivery to a company called Estes Express. At this time we were given a third delivery date which BIG SURPRISE came and went without a call or delivery. We called today and spoke to Home Depot's Resolution Department. WHAT A TOTAL JOKE! We finally tracked the sheds down in Hammond Louisiana with a completely different delivery company. Sarah, with the Resolution Department, actually invited me to post my displeasure on social media. That was her best advice, post to social media like everyone else if I'm unhappy. So here it is. I have her supervisor's name but I'm not very confident that she will do much either. I urge anyone reading this to never make a large purchase with Home Depot!
quartz countertops
In the spring of 2016 I purchased quartz countertops as a replacement in my kitchen. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to have them installed until the end of June 2016. After some other installation issues with the backsplash by MKD (Home Depot Midland MI subcontracted them to) I spoke with someone at Home Depot and expressed my dissatisfaction with the seam and the lack of proper cleanup of silicone around the edges where the backsplash met the countertop. The seam was placed in a spot that was cost effective for Home Depot & MKD, never mind that I was paying for the countertops. I complained to both companies and finally got a person from MKD back to clean up their mess. I still was not happy with the seam b/c the 2 pieces were not flush where they met. Long story short, some big wig from MKD came out to look at the seam and proceeded to tell me that it "was a beautiful seam job". That was hard for me to believe since I had countertops replaced in my previous home with out any problems and the seam was certainly not noticeable, nor could I feel where they met.
I'm saying all this to warn people not to use Midland MI Home Depot for countertops and if you do, refuse to MKD do the installation because their work is shoddy and they don't cleanup after themselves. As for me, it has been a learning experience and I will NEVER use Home Depot again for any kind of service that requires installation of one of their products (flooring, countertops, blinds, etc...) by an outside company.
non-delivery of appliance and late delivery of appliance
Order number W760181380 - Amana range and GE dishwasher
Both appliances were scheduled to be delivered on Friday, 7/21 between 2 and 6pm. I received a phone call from a rep at the shipping agency on the morning of 7/21; she stated that "somehow" an error was made, and the dishwasher was not on the truck, so only the range would be delivered on Friday, and the dishwasher would be delivered on Saturday, also between 2 and 6pm.
At 6:30pm on Friday, I called the number given in my original e-mail (confirming my order), since no delivery had been made. I was told that, since they couldn't deliver both appliances on Friday, they decided to take the range back to the warehouse, and that both appliances would be delivered on Saturday between 2 & 6pm. Nobody called to tell me that nothing would be delivered on Friday, so I wasted the entire afternoon and evening waiting for the delivery. $75 was credited back to my checking account for my inconvenience.
This morning (Saturday), I called the number given in my original e-mail to confirm that the two appliances would be delivered between 2 & 6pm. I was told that that was, indeed, the case. At approximately 5:30pm today, the dishwasher was delivered; the delivery men did not have the range; not was it listed on their delivery paper.
I called the same number and was told that the record showed that both appliances were due to be delivered today. The rep with whom I spoke said she would call the delivery company and call me back, which she did quite promptly, while she had the delivery company agent on the phone. I was told that the delivery company had LOST THE RANGE.
I was told to call the ERP Department on Monday (877/946-9843) -- the delivery company -- to ask whether they managed to find the range and could deliver it Monday afternoon.
I rearranged appointments to accommodate the delivery time I was given for Friday (since I was originally told that delivery could take place any time between 7am and 7pm) and then had to cancel appointments I had for today to accommodate the SECOND delivery day/time I was given.
I cannot adequately express my frustration and anger with this demonstration of total incompetence by the delivery service employed by Home Depot. $75 is not adequate recompense for the time I have wasted, waiting for appliances which are then not delivered.
If I do not receive the range by Tuesday, I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Yours truly,
Patricia M. McCarthy

time-wasting call to set-up "free water test" appointment...
Around 5:00PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, a woman called asking to speak to me by name, because I recently purchased a microwave oven from Home Depot, which qualified me for a free, in-home water test. A technician would test the water in any fixture in my house and not only would I receive the test results but also a $20 Home Depot gift card, or if I preferred, a package of cleaning supplies valued at over $40.00; it would be my choice as the tech would have both with him. She asked when I would be available for the test because a tech was in my neighborhood tonight and tomorrow with available times." That's when she finally paused for me to ask a few questions.
Always suspicious of random calls and scams I asked her to confirm that she was calling from Home Depot, she said she was with a testing company working with Home Depot to provide this free service. I asked what they were trying to sell, she said they were absolutely not selling anything but the tech would have information about a wide range of products and services available at my local Home Depot. She asked if I had a water filtration system or ever bought bottled water. Yes, yes. "So why wouldn't you take advantage of a free water test and get a gift card?" she asked. With the test results I could make good decisions for my family because the results could change the water we drink, bathe in, wash our clothes..."the results could change my life." It wasn't until she had her water tested that she "realized it was causing her eczema."
"You know what? Are you home now? The tech in your area actually has an opening tonight." She just needed to verify the information she had. She had my name, the name of my parents who own the house, and my email address. After confirming again that I was available in a couple hours she said she had to put me on hold to get authorization from her manager. She put me on hold for almost a minute and then came back on to confirm the size of my house and if I had a spouse who would also be there.
I asked why did everyone in my household have to be there for a water test? "Oh, it's okay, hold on again here's my manager." Another minute on hold, "That appointment was taken sir, I'm going to have to check the schedule for the next available time and call you back." I told her that since we already spent so much time and since she put me on hold twice already I wouldn't mind waiting for her to check the schedule, "how much longer could that take?" "Well I've already taken enough of your valuable time." So I said I would wait. "Well it might take a few minutes, she needed to confirm with the tech and then get the approval from her manager, so I will call you back and schedule the appointment." "I rather wait so I can just put it in my schedule. You said you had appointments tomorrow?"
"Well sir, I'm just going to have to call you back. I have all your information, I'll call you back as soon as I get the tech's schedule. Thanks for shopping at Home Depot." Click.
What kind of scam did I just fall victim to? Did I just sign-up for something I don't really want like the days when long distance re-sellers would call to change your long distance telephone carrier? Some 36-hours later no call. I must have been taken for something. Does anyone know for what? How did this woman know I bought a microwave oven online at Home Depot? Who gave her my name, address, telephone number, my parents' names?
Well I haven’t purchased anything from Home Depot and they called me. I agreed to have the water test done three Fridays ago because I figured what’s it gonna hurt I’ll get a free $20 gift card. Well they never showed up in the excuse was the guys wife went into labor and they had no one else to send. So they rescheduled me another Friday night sat home nobody showed up again. Was called on Sunday by some guy apologizing and said that they will double the gift card if I will sign up so stupid me decided what the hell 40 bucks at Home Depot not a bad deal. Here it is Monday night half an hour after they were supposed to be here. I called the number that I was told to call if they didn’t show Up and was told I’m so sorry we’re very low staffed in your area then what the F are they even bothering me for? If you don’t have staff don’t make appointments. I will not be shopping at Home Depot anymore. I will be going to Lowe’s.
I can tell you what happened, I was just calling the same sort of company. They send a tech to your home to test the water, give you a sales pitch, and sell you water filtration systems for the whole home or for the drinking water. Since she saw that you were suspicious about questions, she figured you would not be worth sending someone, and she squirreled away.
I have aggressively been called from a person who claims to be from home depot after I purchased a washing machine . She leaves messages that I must call her back . This has been going on for a year even after blocking numbers . Last week while in home depot a lady approached I said I don't want my water tested she stated with covid and everything going on I need to consider getting my water tested . Really scare tactics.
deceive customers/ abuse of power
Today, July 19, 2017 @ 1230 . I entered my regular garden center in North Bay Ontario. I picked up two pots of plants and enter the cashier. The cashier ring them thru and they came up as $5.00. They were reg.19.99 . I learned that they had been marked down as well, all the other annuals for $5.00. Other customers overhear the conversation and preceded to pick up plants too. I picked up some more of the plants because on any given gardening season, I will spent close to $500.00 at this garden center. When I was finalizing my check the manager of the garden center came by and told the cashier that he is overriding the flower distributors prices because he was not ready to have the prices mark down. It was shameful, because we the customers were left standing in line in shock with our plants wondering what just happened. While others customer had already got the distributor sales mark down on the plants rushed off thru the doors.Unfortunately, I don't believe I will ever return to your garden center again, this is now the way to disrespect customers. This is unacceptable. The casher did not make it up.This was programmed in the cash register. Home Depot I was one of your most dedicated customers not any more. I did not deserve to be treated this way. Thanks
How do I know that my complaint was submitted.Because Home Depot I will not spend my yearly $500.00 at your garden center after today. This is not the way to treat you long standing customers.
roof installation
I recently had a roof installed on a roof in Lockport NY. The job was done so poorly and they returned to repair it many times. Still not fixed and the rep from home depot lied to me over and over again. Actually one of the rudest people I ever met. Of course he was nice before I signed the contract. I am going to end up in court over this. They did not get final inspection after the job was complete. I am waiting on final inspection from the city building department now, expect that it will fail since there is no possible way this is up to code. I have been in the construction business all my life and I am 62 years old. I have never seen such bad work nor treated as unprofessionally as I have been treated by home depot.
window installation
I had windows installed throughout my home in September 2016. The windows themselves were manufactured poorly and the installers used an inch of caulking around them. Home Depot representatives agreed that the product was inferior and agreed to replace them. After many many follow-up calls they reordered windows and attempted installation in January 2017. In monitoring the installation I discovered large pieces of trim around the windows. The installer explained that the windows were not the right size and he had to add trim to make them fit. I stopped installation. Home Depot reordered and attempted to install windows two more times before getting it right. On the lat install a window broke, resulting in a fifth install for one window. That was in June. The final step was to have the screw covers put in and plastic trim pieces to cover them. I have repeatedly called to find out when this will be done. The install manager is always surprised that no one called or did this, and continues to be surprised every few days when I call him to have the same conversation. It has been a month and still nothing.
not receiving military discount
Dear Sir/Madam:
My name is Lee Clugston and I am a disabled Army Veteran. My understanding was that Home Depot wanted to honor the men and women who have served our wonderful country by offering a 10% everyday discount for the military. I have been denied this discount because I did not have the proper ID. I was really offended when I showed the cashier my DD-214 paperwork showing honorable discharge and she said that was not acceptable. If you want to honor your military you should honor your discount. I have spent thousands of dollars at Home Depot over the past few years on my home depot credit card.
I am requesting that you apply the 10% military discount retroactively to the purchases on my home depot credit card. My Home Depot acct# is [protected].
I have attached a copy of my DAV card and my DD-214.
I would like to thank you in advance for your kind consideration in this matter
I am so proud to have served our wonderful country.
Sincerely,
Lee Clugston(Disabled Army Veteran)

unethical behavior with delivery team
I had a delivery scheduled for a washer and dryer. The delivery guys came with the washer ONLY and realized that it might not fit to were I needed the machine to be . They made me break down a whole wall in my basement to make the washer fit. Then they attempt to fit it but it was not working, in that process they scratched the washer on both sides (paint came off). A few minuted after I was looking for the delivery guys to place and install the washer, then realized they had left without notifying me! I tried calling the guys back, and after several attempts they finally answer the call replying '' We have other deliveries to do today and can not keep wasting time there'' '' thank you but I have to go'' '' Bey bey'' ''Whatever''. This has been the worse customer service i have ever experienced with Home Depot. Now I have no dryer and on the delivery status it says that both were delivered.
lmxs30796s/ delivery
I placed this order online and i wrote special instructions to call me 15 minutes before delivery. On the delivery day, i received a call from logistics saying her driver was at the location and no one was answering the door. I said i was at work and that when i placed my order someone was supposed to call me 15 min before arrival. The lady from logistics said her driver had called me 30 minutes ago and no one answered, thats not true i was patiently waiting for that call because i was very excited about our new refrigerator being delivered that day. I mentioned i was at work and that i could be home no later than 15 minutes, I arrived 11 minutes after she had called me and they were gone. As soonest i got home, i called the Home Depot and explined my situation and they said, we have to reschedule your delivery, it looks like they already attempted to deliver no one was at the location and no one answered when they called the phone number provided. I had to wait until next Thursday to receive my appliance. My question here is, what did i do wrong? They never called before arrival, they called me when they were on the location, after i spoke with them they said they would wait, i left work for nothing because they were gone after i arrived. I have cameras at my home to prove they left before the time we agreed & can provide phone bill of when they called. I was very upset about the whole situation and i cancelled my order. I just wanted to put this out there because i was very excited about my purchase and didn't received it. My order number was W758219193
air conditioner installation
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in regards to an air conditioning unit that we had installed on 6/18/2017. We purchased the A/C through Home Depot and had a sales person who worked with ARS come and explain the entire installation process and equipment that we would be receiving. During the initial proposal, the sales rep explained that the installation would be done with professionalism and perfection because that is the Home Depot promise, which was not what we received.
On 6/18/2017 the installers who work for ARS arrived to install a new A/C unit inside and outside while also replacing many of the other added amenities that are attached. The first day the installers were there for over 12 hours, working past 11:30pm on a Sunday. While we appreciated the fact that they were working on a Sunday, they were not the professionals that we were proposed by the sales rep. The installers smoked in our driveway, they left a mess in the area they were working and cleaned it up to the bare minimum, there were screws left in the driveway, and it was so sloppy there was even a saw blade left in the yard. I must add to that sentence that we have 3 children who could have easily been injured on any of the things left behind, or we could have gotten a flat tire with the many screws left in the driveway, adding to the expense of this entire process. There were many holes in the wall that were left exposed, some with wires protruding from the wall, the attic entry way was damaged and there was a screw coming from the attic into the ceiling of our youngest child’s room. The process was so incredibly sloppy.
Nevertheless we were thrilled to feel some relief with the new air conditioner and went to sleep once they left that night. The next day we woke to warm air blowing through the vents. As the day went on the temperature in the house continued to rise until it reached 88 degrees. We were baffled by the heat blowing considering every part of the A/C was brand new, but we let it go for 3 days hoping that the kinks would work themselves out and it would get cold again. By the 3rd day (a Wednesday) I was calling the installers to figure out what could be wrong. I left message after message and did not get any response until the following Monday. 5 more days without A/C after spending $9, 000 to get a brand new A/C. It was devastating! Monday when I finally got someone to talk to me they sent someone out to come look at it the next day. During this time the installers found that the ducts were not attached to the air handler in the attic. So for 8 days we had attic air blowing through our house and the attic was 75 degrees. How in the world could a brand new A/C not even be attached! Also the attic is full of insulation which was probably blowing into our house for that entire week. They also discovered on this visit that the outside unit was low on freon and the thermostat was not working correctly. I am not sure how all of this could have been missed during the initial install but somehow it was. The installers left again and we got cool air for the evening.
The next day it was 85 degrees in the house again. Again I placed a call to the installation company, this time my call was answered with a timely manner by Jennifer Perez (the quality manager) and another group of installers came out two days later. They relocated the thermostat back to the original location on the first floor, which the initial installers stated could not happen because of wiring issues. They had to adjust the float switch because the initial installers put it in with a downward pitch so the A/C will actually kick on instead of thinking its already overflowing.
I emailed the Jennifer after everything was finally corrected and requested some type of compensation. There is no reason with professional companies that we should have had to suffer this long with no A/C and terrible installers. Holes in the walls with wires hanging out, screws and saw blades lying around.
So Jennifer offered a compensation check for $550 towards payments, and the installation company would come out and replace the entire air handler. I was not given a reason as to why this should be replaced but clearly it still has issues. On July 11, 2017 I patiently waited around for the installers to arrive for their scheduled appointment between 9 and 11am. At 1230 no one arrived yet so I called the company and Jennifer stated again there was a lack of communication and they could not make it out. I had to reschedule for another day of waiting around for installers to come fix their mistakes. My next appointment is July 18, 2017.
Update: Today is July 16, 2017; the air handler is scheduled to be replaced on July 18, 2017. Overnight last night the Air handler in the attic began leaking. We went into the attic to see if we could tell where the leak was because it was collapsing in the ceiling. It appears that the installer did not connect the pip to the over flow pan and the over flow switch must not have been working because the water continued to overflow into the attic. We placed a bucket under the leak and turned off the A/C. Tomorrow I will call and let the company know that there is another issue with the installation.
This process is a month later and is still not completely fixed. We are so disappointed with the experience. We have done many upgrades to our house since we bought it in 2015 and the only place we ever shopped was Home Depot. Since then we are just so upset we just want nothing to do with Home Depot or the installation company. We have even debated many times about just having them come take all of the parts out and we would find a new A/C company. But I don't know if I could handle more people in and out of our home, so we continue to hope this can be fixed.
I am writing to Home Depot because we bought the A/C through Home Depot and I feel as though someone should be aware of what type of service has been provided. We have been patient and understanding but it has been an exhausting experience. I also have pictures of the many issues that have been discussed in this letter and I would be happy to send them if interested.
Thank you for your time,
Tanya Laurain

customer service
On 7/16/2017 I went to home depot on the corner of East-West Conn and Floyd Rd in Mableton Ga and I forgot my wallet. I ask if they could look my account up and the girl said do you have your ID and I said I forgot my wallet. She said no and I can respect her for that. I went to my truck and I had 2 Georgia State pictured ID so I went back in side and asked her if these would do and she didn't even look at them and said no and turned and walked away. I then went home and got my wallet and drove past Home Depot and on to Lowes and bought my parts. I have been a Home Depot customer a long time and I would like to continue but if that is the kind of your employees I have to deal with I may have to cancel my card. Thank you for listening. order for pavestone pavers need help
First of all I had cancer and my voice box was removed making talking on the phone difficult so my wife Millie has been talking for me to HD associates in Tilton NH store. I had ordered 3 palets of pavestone for about $1, 450.00 and
requested delivery to my back yard as I am 82 years old but still going. One of the store managers had to put in the order and said no problem on delivery.
We were contacted by a trucking company and told delivery to our curbside was their policy. We called HD Tilton to see if could be delivered to them and then deliver to us. As I was told the manager Parker came out said they could not deliver to back yard and cancelled the order. Never talked to us as we need this order. The whole patio has been dug cement walls made and ready for pavers. At this time we have been told trucker in Concord NH has pavers and needs someone in HD to tell them to deliver them to us. If the store manager Parker had talked to us before just canceling the order if all else failed we would take curbside delivery. Also Parker hung up on my wife and in my opinion the customer is the basis for the success of HD and should not be treated that way. Please help as I need the pavers. Thank you George McQuillan, 24 Timberline Drive Tilton NH 02376, [protected]
countertop installation process
store manager Kendall Mann, store 1777 not providing help with some installation issues I am facing with sink and countertops. My emails never get a response, very hard to get her on the phone, and she said she'd call Monday and it's now Wednesday and have not heard from her with any solution or even an update on the situation.
My installing issues remain unresolved because this store is doing a very poor job of communicating and attempting to solve the problem.
7.4cu. ft. apartment size refrigerator
It was delivered the 7th of July, 2017, when my son got home from work the next day, and opened it, was badly damaged on top sides, he took it back to store, got the run around, but finally credited money back to my account, all but $15 dollars and some cents, The product was $ 379, and they only returned $401.oo they said that is all it brought up, I have papers at home, but live 50 miles away, the Order # is c618047032, My computer only printed half the page, thus I can't make out full amount, but I know it was 416.00 plus some cents, he is stressed, has been without refrigerator for over a week, is going back to home depot today and order it there, he doesn't trust the online service. We are extremely unhappy with all that transpired! We would like the 15 dollars and some cents refunded!
everbilt stainless steel waterfall pump
I purchased a replacement Everbilt Pump April 29, 2017, after the first one I purchased failed, and the Everbilt Service Representative put me through holy hell, to get a replacement refund. The pump doesn't run for more than 4 hours before it stops and if I let it set for several hours it starts up and run again for about 4 hours and stops. The Representative had me pull the pump out of my pond take the bottom plate off and set it in sink filled water to see if it would run. Well yes it ran which I told him it would. He then took the model number, serial number etc. gave me an authorization return number and told me to take it back my local Home Depot for a credit return. I called today @ approximately 10:15AM, and the same Representative started over with the same drill. I don't feel it is my responsibility to troubleshoot Home Depot - Everbilt products that fail. This entire process is costing me money and time, which doesn't appear to be a concern of anyone at Home Depot. The last Pump was returned using authorization Number PIQ8682.
I am about to go and pull the pump from my Pond and call the Everbilt Representative and let him put me through this drill of testing again, just so I can get a return authorization number. If my Pond wasn't set up for this pump and Lowes wasn't so far away I would never go near a Home Depot store again, based on the way I have been treated about this pump.
