HP bad customer service

I had HP printer and liked it a lot. But one day something happened to it and it stopped working, it also could not find the Wi-Fi connection. I called HP customer service, they asked me to explain in details what was wrong. So I told them everything and they said that was not a huge problem and could be easily fixed. So I asked them how to fix it and they said that since my warranty was over they could answer that question only for some extra money! They said that would cost me $25! Are you kidding me? The worst service ever! Money hungry scammers!

HP laptop service

Summary of issues:
1. Battery of HP laptop conked off (plugged in, not charging) around 2 months ago (a few weeks after warranty expired)
2. Used chat support 3 times which temporarily solved my problem
3. When problem kept repeating itself, visited service center in Gurgaon
4. Follow-up from that meeting - first email received from the incompetent folks at Iqor on June 15
5. (almost) zero communication from Iqor - finally they claimed that component was ordered on July 8
6. Despite multiple follow-ups with Iqor, no response on when the component will be delivered.
7. Wrote email to HP CEO via support forum - received standard automated response
8. Contacted HP chat support again because they have been the only people who have genuinely tried to help.
9. They gave me number of some gentleman who claimed that he was not in charge and asked to contact another gentleman
10. Called the second gentleman a million times- phone was either busy or nobody was picking up - before giving up
11. Contacted HP chat support again. They said sorry - the second gentleman is the only person who can help and gave his email ID.
12. Wrote to second gentleman on email on August 1. No response until I wrote a stinker. His response? Asking another gentleman marked in the email to provide status.
13. August 4 - August 10: Radio silence
14. 56 days, no resolution. On the verge of giving up and buying another laptop.

HP new laptop not covered by warranty - stated as water damaged

I got a HP laptop from Costco in Nov 2015, in 6 months the laptop died
down and as advised by COSTCO team I sent it to HP Service center for
repair. HP checked and said that the laptop died down due to water
damage in motherboard and its not covered under warranty. I used the
laptop till previous day night when it was working fine and first
thing in the morning when I tried to switch it on the laptop was dead.
There is no way water spilled in to my laptop, its not my fault and I
am sure its a faulty laptop but I am penalized since there is no way I
could prove it to HP team. Now I have to pay $380 to fix the
laptop for a laptop which was $650, this is ridiculous. Its very
painful that for no mistake of mine I am being penalized, this totally
shattered my trust on HP. I got a HP laptop with the belief that it delivers quality products and services its customers well but HP completely washed
off their hands in this case, its very disappointing and frustrating
experience for me with this new laptop.

HP my hp notebook

After going thru 3 HP laptops, and one catching on fire, the customer service rep sent me an email telling me to go to the link which was provided in the email to order a new laptop with the things I wanted on the laptop. She told me this new one was coming directly from the manufacture, (which it was coming from China) I ordered the laptop with a backlighted keyboard, a solid state hard drive, windows 7 etc. well guess what the computer ### the bed after 7 months AGAIN I took it to a very reputable computer place in my town and he said that the hard drive died, and it wasnt a solid state hard drive it was one of the cheapest that is made, and they also told me that it was not a laptop made to order it was a REFURBISHED ONE. not a happy camper.

HP taking my credit card information without telling me anything or coming back to the phone

Yesterday, HP called me back to inqiure about buying their warranty on my new computer; that I had not even opened up the shipping box to. I told the Hp representative that I'll purchase theirs but I didn't want to spend over a certain amount. He asked for my CC information and said that he was going to check on something after he told me how much he thinks the warranty will be. So, he put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I held on for about 23 minutes after he took my CC info. TOTAL call time 37mins. I kept speaking into the phone saying, "hello"; no one answered. I was afraid to hang up, as I had giving him my info. I finally hung up thinking he had done nothing to my Credit Card. I checked my account this morning only to see that they did debit my account.
I received no warranty information nothing; except 2 debits out of my account.

HP hp 63 ink

I buy ink for my printer from Wal Mart the price is $15.97 for one cartridge
the last two cartridges have printed about 40 pages each and then the printer indicates that the ink is low and they stop printing. Wal Mart will not
(can't) replace them and told me that this is an HP issue. How do I get reimbursement or replacement for these cartridges? I am an elderly woman on a fixed income and the $$ is not something I can afford to spend for ink that is not HP quality. I have been an HP customer for many years and find this lack of quality and response to problems puzzling to say the least. I would appreciate a response to my complaint.

HP customer service

I have been jerked around for 2 months waiting for a credit. The trained monkeys HP uses should go back to the forest. Every time I have called I'm given a different answer as to the status. The last call today I was put on hold for 10 minutes then cut off. HP customer service has persuaded me to NEVER buy another HP product. I don't know if anyone at HP reads these complaints but if they I wonder if they are any better than the monkeys in customer service

HP Smartfriends services

I used the Smartfriends service once two and a half years ago. They signed me up for a year service paid monthly and continued to charge you month to month once the year was up. They never sent a bill or did anything to remind you they were still taking my money. They insist that this was spelled out when I signed up, but they never once communicated after that so I wouldn't notice they were fleecing me. Technically it is a contract in perputuity which is illegal.

I'm admittedly embarassed and feel stupid for not having caught the charge earlier on my credit card statement. If I left my car door unlocked with my wallet on the front seat and someone stole it, I would feel stupid for that too, but it would still be robbery.

Don't trust these people!

HP hp officejet pro 6830 printer

This product continues to have issues with the printer heads. I have had to contact customer support twice and have the machine replaced. The second replacement is now having issues printing with back ink.

The good thing is they have a 24/7 customer support chat (http://www.hp.com/chat) where you can get help if you are still under warranty. BUT, they keep wanting you to buy more warranty on a bad product. It is like a black hole of having to pay for something that you can't trust to work when you need it. I am very disappointed in this product.

HP misleading global/worldwide/international warranty

HP is a misleading company when comes to provide warranty. On the website there is clear mention that HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B).

I purchased my laptop from ebay india in September 2016. The seller has apparantly imported it from thailand. Still i should be covered under global warranty, however when i contacted HP and told them the entire scenario they stick to their pathetic service . They found in the first day itself that its a hardware issue. despite that they ask for proof of purchase and my address atleast 5 times. and after spending 10 days they said that the product was about to be shipped to USA and all crap. and said only software is covered under warranty. I asked send me a proof where it says so. they send me this link. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bpr01266. There is nowhere mentioned in this link about such policy. SO BASICALLY THEIR GLOBAL WARRANTY IS A MISLEADING AND SCAM. and I am sure many people have been fallen victim to their global warranty.

my question is if they are not covering hardware under global warranty why they have not mentioned clearly on their website. why are they fooling people. and in todays world who cares about software warranty that much. most can install windows themselves and those who can not can pay only upto INR500 to a local tech guy and get it installed (as windows 10 is free now). Only thing a person cares when purchasing costly hardware is about harware warranty.

I am planning to go to consumer forum and complain about their misleading policy.

HP hp 15 laptop

I am disabled and live way out away from the nearest town. I bought a HP Laptop 15 in September 2015. By November it was freezing up when changing screens. I called HP and they sent me a new hard drive the next day. Then four days later they sent a technician out to install the hard drive. It came with 4 discs to run after replacing the hard drive. He started the first CD, took a picture of it then left. The first CD never finished installing despite several attempts by myself. I called HP back. They sent me a FED EX box three days later. I sent it back to them. They had it for over a week, sent it back still not working. Two days later I had another FED EX box, only this time the FED EX guy packed it for me after reopening the first piece of tape because I forgot to include the 'Yes try to save my data' form. A week later I called to check on it and the technician said it needed a new motherboard. Meanwhile, "Peter" my case worker said if it isn't fixed this time, when they send it back to me broken, I can return it and they will replace it. Instead, I just got a phone call from someone I have never talked to who says now, "there is liquid damage" we are not going to repair it or replace it.
I have never been treated with such disdain and disrespect by a company I have been purchasing from since XP on my first desktop.
I will NEVER buy another HP and will tell anyone and everyone I see looking at them my story and tell them to buy ANYTHING BUT HP unless they want to throw their money away.

HP smartfriends services

HP Smartfriends tricks you into signing up for an automatically renewing plan that withdraws money from your account with no authorized pre-approval. I recently received an email regarding a failed credit card transaction (due to a changed card number) for the automatically submitted payments threatening to terminate my "services". However, on going back through my emails, I found out that I had not used or had any contact with HP Smartfriends for over two years. Needless to say, I did not give them any updated credit card information for a service that I do not use or plan to use. They now call me literally EVERY SINGLE DAY, despite my emailed response stating that I had no desire to continue my service.

They are sneaky and dishonest business that I highly discourage every using.

HP service

I purchased a new HP touch screen monitor for a Windows 10 computer. The screen was not working properly so I called HP customer service. First they told me my warranty was expired even though the monitor was only several days old. Then they said I needed to purchase a HP service agreement to get the issue resolved. I agreed, and was then on multiple occasions called the special number for people who have handed over money for superior service. I was put on hold, transferred around, and then disconnected. I never got ANY service. Don’t sign up for service with HP. I got the monitor working, with no help from HP, and the product itself is quite nice.

I am currently fighting the charge through the credit card company. HP keeps insisting they helped. They did not.

HP customer service

In December I sent my laptop to be repaired by HP since it was still under warranty. When I got it back 2 weeks later, the touch screen had a huge crack down the middle. This crack was not there when I sent my laptop away. I called HP and they told me to send it back to be replaced. It took HP 4 weeks to fix the screen and send it back to me. I can't believe it should take month to replace a screen especially since they were the ones that broke it. When I finally got it back, I realized that they had wiped my hard drive and all my software, programs and files were deleted! Even though the original issue I had with the laptop had nothing what so ever to do with my hard drive. When trying to download Norton Antivirus back onto my computer I had an issue, when I called Norton they explained to me that most of the drivers were not on my computer and that they would install them for me for $130. Since I am in University and need my laptop, I had no other option but to pay the $130 fee. However, I don't understand why HP did not download the drivers for me since it was them who got rid of them and therefore making me pay extra for something I should not have to. I am very unimpressed with the service I received from HP and I will not be purchasing my next laptop from them.

HP pavilion laptop

Purchased laptop 6-2015 at Staples in Newport, OR. Problems include tiles freezing, computer randomly closing, lost e-mails, audio and DVD malfunctioning. Took computer back to staples x 2 was told they were unable to fix, advised to contact HP. Spent 20 plus hours on phone to India without resolve. Manager at staples spent 2 hours on the phone just to get HP to send a shipping box. Sent computer back to HP 2 times. The first time letter stated problems replicated and fixed. Computer was not fixed, sent it back again was told unable to replicate problem. Spoke with Todd who rudely stated he would not "keep trying", computer mailed back to us still broken. Spoke with case manager Ashley Boosye [protected] x 7813803 site 52 was told she would honor the warranty and a full refund would be given. She asked for another faxed copy of original receipt, she admitted she already had been faxed this information but stated " things go missing around here" and requested another fax of receipt, which was done the next day. Ashley called he next day stating she talked with her boss and a full refund could not be given. When we first talked with Ashley we were told that she is the one who could make these decisions that there is no one "higher ' up than her.

Requesting HP honor the warranty and verbal agreement given by their representative

HP customer service

The hp uk customer service has always been the worst in the world and nothing is ever done about it - despite people trying.

They are unprofessional rude and uncaring. I can't wait to get rid of my hp laptop so that I never have to deal with them again. People live in mighty dread of their hp things going wrong.

Some don't even answer the call properly saying "haych pea" instead of "aitch pea" how very unprofessional.

HP customer service

I recently received a second replacement to an original purchase of an HP 9630 Printer. The first printer was purchased in January of 2015. That printer was replaced by a second printer in May of 2015. That printer had problems in January of 2016 and was replaced with an officiate 8610.

The HP Support person told me that the warranty of the new replacement printer would run from January 22, 2016 to January 22, 2017. She also offered me an extended warranty that I purchased for an additional two years @ $34.99.

The next day my confirming email from HP the warranty was from January 2015 - to January 2018. It effectively was one year less than what I was told.

I called back the next day and the rep told me that they understood the situation and my claim was being forwarded to their "adjustments" department. He told me that I would get an email from them correcting the error. I also happened to get a call back from him asking if I wanted to enroll in their "instant" ink program. I mentioned that I hadn't seen an email confirming the change in dates. He said that there was no need to worry and that he personally would probably be sending me the email.

Two days later I had not received the confirmation back from HP and called them. The rep today kept telling me "to be honest" my warranty ran from January 2015 and would have expired in April 2016. The care package that I purchased would only carry me through January 2018. This would have been less than two years when I was expecting three full years.

The rep checked with her supervisor and said that none of my prior conversations were correct and that I should go by the original follow up email. I essentially was told one thing and given a different version the next day. I had purchased the extended warranty on false pretenses.

I decided to cancel the HP Care Package since you can not believe a thing that HP is saying to you.

I am greatly disappointed in HP and wonder if the US management realizes what a disservice their customer support team is going for them.

I greatly doubt if I would ever purchase another HP product again.

HP "smart friend" plan

On Jan 8th my backup to the WD My Passport resulted, somehow, in my People Contacts in Outlook 2013, to disappear. I found them under "I cloud contacts, but was unable to transfer them back to my Outlook. The first "technician " named Bruno at HP found the list but was unable to make the Transfer. He just quit unannounced after he did a restore to an earlier date, but that did not rectify the problem. There was no call from him after our "disconnect." I reestablishment my contact with "Smart Friend" and got another technician, named Colby. I encouraged him to check with Bruno for what had transpired. He claimed he did check his notes, kept me hanging on the phone, one time for over 30 minutes without any activity. Eventually he said he could not find the "I cloud contacts list" saying "there is nothing there." Whatever that meant, and then he unexpectedly terminated the chat. Having received such despicable Treatment, I will cancel my :Smart Friend" Plan.
