Smart friends
I called my internet provider as I could not connect to the internet and was then connected to you Smartfriend services. They said if I paid $49.99 up front they would get my computer to connect to the internet. Not only did it not work when he had me delete and restore my computer when I called back that gentleman wanted me to wipe my computer. I also feel scammed because when I called the man ready me some kind of statement as to what was included in the service I was buying. I asked him if it was a month to month and if I could cancel it at any time and he said yes, but after the payment went through he then told me nothing was refundable and that it was for a year. It was also later on that I got an email detailing me pages of rights, rules etc. I was able to fix the computer myself by deleting a recently installed update in windows. Why didn't your experts know this?
I also see that I am not the only one you have scammed

HP Pavilion
I purchased Pavilion 7 months ago including the extended warranty. Followed the direction to register the warranty when it came. A little over a month ago Support Assistant gave a message that Battery wasn't calibrating. Contacted HP Support and did all the fixes the Tech gave me still not fixed, so tech said I would need to send it in for Battery...

HP Support Assistant has This PC Listed as an HP ElieBook 830 G6 Notebook and not HP Laptop 14-dk1031dx, I've contacted Tech Support several times concerning problems with PC, done several remote sessions none of which has solved my Bios, Firmware, Software and Driver Update Problems. I has sent a 5 Year Old Generic Windows Recovery Drive for 2020 HP Laptop 14-dk1031dx PC. This PC Needs to be Repaired so I'll be able to get Updates !

Pavilion x360 BR010-nr
Due to a hinge design fault, the LCD back case cover is cracked and I am unable to open and close without the LCD from popping out. I called "customer service" and was passed through 4 different people each asking for my email and s/n of the laptop only to finally getting the message "we are unable to answer your call at this time". WHAT? My question was, since out of warranty if the case can be replaced and what is the part number to order one. I called a computer repair shop and they said they don't recommend HP computers to customers. I see why!
Desired outcome: get a replacement case

We were promised a NEW printer to be delivered 2/27/21. As you know we are all reliant in our homes for school or work. My service order #BRDV4542-01, serial #TH76K1P0JQ, case [protected] & [protected]. I kid you not, I have made 10 calls on this since last Friday's call. I was told Monday it was escalated, as you had no replacement printers & they had to be manufactured & that I had to wait for a shipping update as they were going to request it from Canada. I should see a tracking number in 24 hours. NOPE, not even as of Thursday. I called again-got transferred all over technical support and was told I need to wait 24 hours. Now 24 hours later, I'm NO FURTHER along than last Friday, but frustrated, no printer, and no tracking number. Today I called & got transferred 7 time after explaining the entire process, each time. STILL after 7 transfers I was in the WRONG department. So here I am with no printer, no update & pending printing jobs. I could go buy another printer, but what the hell is a warranty for, if your company won't make good on it? Your customer service folks NEED training or you need to fix YOU INTERNAL problem when sending a customer to the basement and having to start back at square 1. Still no printer, still no tracking number, a WEEK later. I guess consumer affairs is my next stop!
Desired outcome: Delivery of the new printer promised.
HP envy 5055 printer
HP printer. When I found out that I was being charged for not printing any pages I cancelled my subscription for ink. Then I got charged again. Re-cancelled again and put my own store bought ink in the printer. Now the printer will not print. It looks like hp stops the printer from printing if you do not use their ink subscription. Since they are watching when and how much you print and the ink type used, how does anybody know if they are also looking at everything you print. Why do they hide the fact that if you purchase their printers you will forever be forced to have a ink subscription with them only. Btw the hp ink in stores is becoming impossible to find also forcing you to go through hp alone. How can this be legal? I would advise people to not buy a printer with any kind of ink subscription while you can. Especially from hp. The printer is less than 6 months old and is useless now.
Desired outcome: Release my printer. Remove Printer Lock.
Products coming in boxes damaged
On two occasion s now I Have ordered and received HP printers Deskjet 2755 and 3755. With packaging so damaged you could put you fingers thru the box holes and touch the printers? The odd thing is each printer was from a different vender THE 3755 from Amazon and the 2755 from Target online.
The one from Target was obviously repacked, I have photos.
Desired outcome: I need a printer
HP Envy 6000
The product wouldn't connect to the internet so I went online hoping to speak with an online tech support person but ended up going through a robot while receiving the run around so I decided I'd google the HP phone number because for whatever reason finding it on their website was a challenge and now I see why these "Professional" people they have answering the phones are no help. Done with HP!
If you could let me know what sort of message were you getting, I could let you know how to proceed
HP envy photo 7855 all-in-one
I will never use any other hp product again. No products! Clearly inferior products.
Two sided complaint. 1) the printer consistently will not print with ink cartridges 3/4 -1/4 full. Theses ink cartridges are not cheap. Not to get full use is unacceptable.
2) customer service, there is none. Virtual agent would not send me to actual human to discuss my ink cartridge concerns. I did all the required steps to no avail.
Desired outcome: Actual human to discuss my ink cartridges concerns
The problem you have can be located on Printer Headers. You may try to softly clean them up with isopropyl alcohol wait till is dry and try again. You need to remove the cartridges first.
Online order Department
I am currently living in Mexico but am an American citizen. HP online will not sell to me because I do not have a Mexican cell phone. I have tried multiple ways to resolve this but they will not allow me or any American to purchase from them unless they have a Mexican cell phone. That is a totally RACIST policy and I want everyone to know exactly what kind of company they are.
RACIST ? after last USA head said it will say all Mexicans are drug addicts and just ruined the Country?. RACIST after "American cops" killed a man putting their knee on his neck. I guess you need to analyze a bit better the word RACIST.

Broken hii store sold me a display model with screws missing and cooling fan warn out
I went in to the Broken store to buy a new laptop, after finding a HP Laptop I liked asked staff how much it was since there was no price.
The staff told me it was $1500, so I said I was going to the bank to withdraw the money. Then when I returned with the cash I was told that they only had the display model, next they told me they had misplaced the box, finally when I got to the counter the price had gone up to $1, 800.
I said to the staff you said it was $1,500, the staff keep saying that it was a gamers laptop and how fast it was. I said that I only wanted to pay $1,500 as I was told in the first place, plus it was a display model and had no box as well.
So finally after a long talk with the staff, they got me to pay a extra $50 more from my credit card, but keep saying what a great deal I was getting a fast gaming laptop for this price. (The date was 1st October 2020)
Over 2 months the laptop has frozen up 5 times and had to be forced shutdown with the power button.
Then one night the cooling fan started making a noise, then later the next day I arrived home to a screaming noise coming from the laptop, I had enough but this point. I put the screaming laptop in the car to take it back to the store, but it stopped making the noise and now had a warning on the screen saying there was a fan error and the laptop would shutdown to avoid damage. I took the laptop into the store, where the staff were very nasty, asking if I had dropped it and started looking for damage.
After looking all over the laptop, the staff said that he thought that he could see water damage and started saying that I had spilt coffee in it or some drink. I said that I had not any drinks near the laptop, and asked then to open it to see. I was told that they don't repair laptops in store, and that they could send the laptop to HP for repair, but with water damage that they might not fix it. So after a heated conversation I asked where I could take the laptop to be opened to prove there was no water damage, they said there was only one sop how could work on HP Laptops. I took the laptop straight there to find that they were closed, so I took it to another electrical shop to ask if they could look at it, only to find out that they were allowed to work on HP laptops. They asked me to ring HP to get a work order number, so after being on hold forever I got to talk to someone.
The lady on the phone was hard to understand and was having trouble understanding me. The lady didn't want to give me a work order number, but kept wanting me to turn on my laptop, and did not understand that it would only give me a overheating warning and shut down in 20 seconds.
Then she wanted to send something to my email, not understanding that I could not check it since the laptop would not even start up. I put her onto the repair shop owner, but she did not want to deal with him. Finally I was told that the only way I could get it repaired was to have HP pick the laptop up from my address and take it to Sydney for repair. HP kept calling me over the next few days, then I had a call from the local repair shop, saying that there were screws missing from the case and one of the cooling fans was worn out, plus there was a second hard drive that was not even working. I told them that I had done nothing to the laptop and didn't think to check my new laptop for missing screws when I brought it.
HP called me back again, and after a long talk finally said that they would not cover the repairs because with the missing screws it was classed as damaged. Repair shop said the fan out of stock on HP site, so I still have no laptop to next year sometime.

Laptop support
Bought my wife a new HP against my better judgement, I am an Apple guy. We had an issue with setting it up, HP wants me to pay for support even though the laptop is brand new.
Ordered from Best Buy on 11/1/2020
Opened box on 11/12/2020
I just wanted someone to guide me through deleting a bad email address, should not be a big investment on HP's end. Instead I will have to return to Best Buy and start over, very poor service.
LOL, LOL the only thing you need to do if it was brand new is using the Reset or Recovery from the same PC. Oh but Americans do not like to research about tech issues and that is why they end up with lazy acts of "Let's take it back to the store" My gosh so funny.
Smartfriend
I've requested cancellation of my service in writing multiple times. I have a disability which doesn't allow me to speak, so I must conduct all of my communications in writing. The rep I reach via chat is asking that I call to request the cancellation. I have explained multiple times that I don't have the ability to communicate over the phone and they refuse to accommodate by providing a method to communicate in writing, or simply accept my cancellation request via chat. For several months now I have resorted to disputing the recurring charges on my credit card (which I am able to do without having to place a phone call), but that is very time consuming.
hp 53a (q7553) black laserjet toner cartridge complaint
Hello,
I purchased a cartridge (as indicated above) in Dec. 2019, and opened the box to use it on Oct. 7, 2020. At the very start, the cartridge printed very dirty and messy prints, even including a solid black line from top to bottom of every page it printed. However, my old cartridge (bought in 2017) didn't have the issue.
So I contacted HP on Fri, Oct. 9, 2020, and Carlos T. from HP examined the cartridge over the phone with a couple of prints I emailed to him, then a case was created as shown below.
Case number: [protected]
Product Description: HP LaserJet M2727nf Multifunction Printer
Product Number: CB532A
Serial Number: CND87C10CP
Case Subject: M2727nf/PQ issues
Problem Description:
Portal Case URL: N/A
I was told by Carlos T. that he would order me a replacement cartridge and ship it to me. But on Wed, Oct. 14, he called me again, saying that the replacement order was cancelled, due to the cartridge that is obsolete. And nothing that HP can do about it. So I requested to elevate my issue, and he transferred to his lead (? Alex?). Now the rude service started. From what Alex said, the printer (M2727) has been discontinued over 15 years, and the cartridge has stopped being manufactured by HP over 10 years. AND IF I CAN FIND THE SAME CARTRIDGE ON ANY HP STORE, HE WOULD SEND ME 1 OR 10 CARTRIDGES. Well, I checked HP's Canada online store, that clearly shows the above cartridge is in stock. I then asked a sales person online to verify it, and I was told there are at least 20 cartridges in stock.
I then called back HP again. However, the person who picked up the phone line told me that, he has contacted Carlos and Alex, and my case has been elevated, and NOTHING HP can do about it. It is time to buy a new printer.
I am writing to request HP to elevate this case to a higher level, and to resolve my complaint. As such a big company with good reputation, I expect that HP should stand behind their customers and provide good and professional services to their customers. The cartridge has HP's logo on it, and I believe HP will be able to provide a satisfactory response to this case.
Best regards,
J. Wang

HP 8710 will not scan from hp smart
Printer is attached to wireless. It will print, but it will not scan using HP Smart. Just gives message, "Printer Status Unknown." Used HP Print and Scan Doctor software several times, uninstalled and reinstalled, reestablished network connections. I did everything several times, but always the same result - "Printer Status Unknown. This happened once before a few months ago and I was able to fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling, but that is not working this time.

I placed my order June 19, 2020 and had to call and request a copy of the order since they did not sent and email sent 6/23/2020. It was delivered July 12, 2020 with no invoice it had been removed from box and there was nothing on the inside of the box which should have had a return label. I have called every 2 day asking where is the return label which I was told had to be verified and that would take another 3 or 4 days, this was on 7/15/2020, 7/17, 7/23/, 7/25, was told Friday that they would create anew one and would call me to verify that I have received it NO Call. Called today 7/27, and now I am told to look for a email from Fed ex in 24 hours this label was okay- ed on 7/21 and was never emailed well this is that same BS that I have been hearing up until Friday . I just want this to be over and I can either have a exchange or my money
This is the worst experience I have every had with HP. I have another computer I have had for 10 years and never had a problem with it also I have a lab top which I purchased 6 months ago so far so good I have never had a product come without a return label inside or a missing invoice on the outside of the box. I am still as of today still waiting on a return label to send this item back So today I was to;d that I would receive an email from Fed ex in 24 hours. I have sent you all of the people I have spoke with as well as order # as well as correspondence and emails which was never replied to.
Customer service
I have bought HP computers from the beginning of home computers. Nigel Webb was a family member for awhile (HP Security). Ordered my computer and noticed the option for the (2x2) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo was not applied. They sent a (1x1) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo. I went and bought the right options on a new computer and then called to let them know the order form did not select what I needed on the original. Sorry, they said, your error. An unopened, unused, $1050.00 computer less than 2 days at my house and no return. After buying 2 computers, a gaming headset and 2 monitors this year, a printer in 2017 and 2 computers and a printer in 2007, 2 computers in the 1990's? I will not be back. Listed the one I don't need on eBay for a loss.

Subscription
I've been a customer on this particular account since Sept 29, 2018. The current health situation, my age and medical conditions have made it necessary to change my payments to the 1st of the month. HP Instant Ink will only allow me to change the date of my automatic payment from the 28th of the month to the 1st if I cancel my current subscription, forfiet my rollover credit and start new. They want us to understand and work with them during this pandemic, but they wont work with it's customers. They benefit from this Covid-19 federal stimulus but it only helps them, not their customers. They really don't care.
OfficeJet 3835
Bought an OfficeJet printer end of 2019 that never worked well. Months later and after many attempts to Support I asked the printer to be replaced. It was replaced days later with the warning: keep your accessories, cables, cartridges etc. Received a new printer and that is when my real problems began. Within this period I signed for Instant Ink, a monthly program that allows you to print a number of copies for a fair price. As my first printer didn't work at all, I cancelled the program, why pay a monthly fee for no printer? The new printer came without cartridges. I opened the box and right away installed the cartridges that I had from the previous printers and... The printer displays a message: "cartridges can only be used in printer that initially installed it". These cartridges had 5 copies total. Contact the Support again (this was the 12th time in 2 weeks) and explained what was happening. The attendant told me I needed to print an information page from the printer that showed the registration number. But I could't print anything because it was blocked even for resigning to the Instant Ink program. I should buy new cartridges (16 euros for the black and 29 euros for the color) just to print this page and retrieve the registration number. What has become this printing business? Isn't enough pay absurd prices for cartridges and be able to print like 30 copies for cartridge? What happened to Customer Service? What is this Virtual Chat other than a waste of time? Do you folks at HP realize how pathetic is all this? I tell you this, this Instant Ink is pretty fair, if it would work. I am an old customer from HP since my calculator HP48 at the 80's but I will never again buy anything from you and I hope who is reading this take my words seriously and avoid problems. Printing should be an amazing thing but you turned it into hell.
laptop experience 40787
Right past my 30 day warranty the computer is acting crazy, can't control the mouse, some of the keys aren't working, magnifying goes in and out, can't shut down computer and the screen went upside down. The laptop freezes and the icons double. I would like my money back or a replacement. I emailed the seller letting him know my laptop is acting up.
