Had to wait over 10 minutes in line at the johnson city tn Kmart to check out only to find my items didn't ring up correctly. I asked to see a manager, but he never came up. I guess he was to busy to help a member. I said forget it and left empty handed. I can check out faster at a Walmart, and that's sad. Please get this to someone who cares. I called the store about it and they didn't seem to care.
texas steer work boots.
Back in December of 2016, I was in desperate need of new boots for work. Being that I work in the security industry, I'm on my feet quite a bit, so comfort is the main thing I look for when I get a pair of boots.
Since I was in a time crunch to buy boots, I went to Kmart and purchased a pair of Texas Steer work boots for around $40. I already knew at such a cheap price, the quality was going to be horrible. The employee that helped me was about as knowledgeable as a 3 year old child, and had no idea how to properly fit a pair of shoes let alone tell me anything about what I was buying. She assured me that they were solid leather, as the box indicated. I tried them on, and they fit perfectly. After about a week, everything went south. Turns out they aren't real leather which I pretty much expected for that price, and they have absolutely no support whatsoever. My feet constantly sweat and itch, and both of my heels are rubbed almost raw. I bought insoles, and heel support pads which didn't help at all. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with these until I can afford to buy a quality pair somewhere else. Never again from Kmart!
Big 5 Sporting Goods actually sells law enforcement type boots for about $35, and even though they may not breathe very well, they at least support your feet and don't leave you in pain all day. Texas Steer boots are the worst boots I've ever owned, bar none!
black+decker 20v lithium cordless leaf blower
I noticed a black+decker 20v lithium cordless leaf blower on sale for $69.94 at kmart. The site said to check local availability. After doing so, it was indeed available at my store. When I arrived at the store the same exact one I took the trip for purchasing was on clearance for 72.00, a difference of 2.06 higher. However even after showing the proof of price on the site, they refused to honor it. I was told that was an online price only. Then I called customer service headquarters and the reprep told me I had to purchase it online first then go to pick it up in order to get it for that price. It was on clearance anyway but I then asked the reprep if they prefer losing a custome over 2.00 and change. She said "yes maam. I ended my call there. Hopes to never visit this store despite its location of availability. I am disabled so it is difficult to travel at times but I will travel to the competitor for better service.
bicycle pump (manual)
I purchased a bicycle pump over a month ago from Kmart. I had purchased the wrong type of pump for my bike, so I went to return it. Without a receipt, I was looking for a store credit to possible put towards the right type of pump. After driving to the store I found out that if items are purchased after 30 days you can not return them. I am now stuck with a bicycle pump (I think I paid only 13.00 for) that I have no use for. I don't want to just throw it away. I'm very upset with Kmart. I am a frequent shopper of Kmart and sears. I have a shop your way account and both sears credit cards. I think for such a small inexpensive item it shouldn't be a big deal to give a store credit. Sears and Kmart, you've lost a customer.

You have a manager at your Kmart in barboursville wv that is gambling in a gaming room next to your store while he is supposed to be working. For a family business this does not look good. Our family does not condone gambling. And when I see your manager coming and going out of that gaming room all day long while he is supposed to be working it makes me wonder what your other employees are doing. The store is filthy and your manager needs to be more concerned about that than gambling.

My wife, daughter and I were in the Men's section of Valencia, California Kmart yesterday (March 4, 2017) afternoon. As I was perusing the sleepwear around 10 minutes to 1:00, there were 3 employees of Hispanic descent having a not-so-quiet conversation next to the layaway office. Their conversation consisted of how "white people" were basically the bane of their entire existence. They made *no* attempt to lower their volume or cease their conversation despite the fact 3 Caucasian individuals were less than 12' from them. I am not the type that's easily offended and hadn't really given it much thought until my wife brought it up later in the day. I am filing this grievance because this type of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in the workplace. They're entitled to their opinions, sure. They can hate on anyone for whatever reason as it's their right, but those kind of sentiments are probably best left to private conversation venues. Due to this occurrence, we will be far less likely to return to shop in this store. Thanks for your time.
horrible customer service
I tried exchanging a coat my som received as a gift for the exact same coat in a bigger size. I was told in the store that I needed a receipt to do anything. When I explained that it was a gift and I didn't have one, I was told to call customer service. When I called I was told that whoever bought the gift wanted to make sure that we couldn't get a different gift because otherwise they would have given me a gift receipt. He further stated that he didn't have a cash register and therefore was not able to do anything and he was tired of people calling complaining about not being able to exchange items. This is the most horrible store. Employees are always rude and their store policy is ridiculous. I am never going back there again.
went into the store to buy several items. looks like the employees are to busy socializing and making purchases of blue light specials. the employees leave their register and the customers are left waiting in line so they could get items in the blue light or they lie and say what you try to buy in the blue light is not for sale and they keep it for their self in the jewelry dept. customer service sucks
100 grand and snicker 6 pack
Went to this store and the candy was marked 3 for $3.00 got home and they charged me$ 1.50 for two and$. 1.00 for the other called them and they told me to come back with receipt said I live out of town and they said they couldn't help me and hung up . Donna waited on me and I feel that they could of giving me time to get back to their store or given me a gift card or maybe even a little more empathy as I live 20 miles away and shop there all the time I probably wont be back to this store the last time I got time to get over there but not this time
kmart employee brianna (tehachapi kmart)
As a frequent customer of Tehachapi Kmart, I would hope this store would start to become courteous and respectful to their customers.
One of the team members was very rude - Brianna. She yells at customers and the supervisor Tanya was there to address her and said she will "take care of it (her)". My question to Brianna was intended to inquire about the 'footwear BOGO' sign: is Footwear the brand name title or does it include all footwear in general? She rudely said, "There is a sign right above it!" She is a poor listener. I was not able to finish my question because she kept cutting me off with her comment as though she just had to have the last word and win. I am just a buyer of goods, not her enemy or her friend. :)
I hope Kmart corporate and Supervisor Tanya teach the staff, especially Brianna, kindness and not permit her staff to interact with paying costumers in this manner. Could also be a training issue? Let's see if the bad attitude continues. This evening (tonight is Friday, 02/10/2017 between 8pm-10pm) I also observed the Kmart staff cussing/joking to each other and talking aloud about their personal lives right in front of customers.
Hopefully this will be addressed because Tehachapi is a beautiful city with great people.
price wrong, store manager very rude.
Hello my name is steve. I shop in the kmart toms river store 08753 very much. I was trying to buy a toy on clearance. I got to the courtesy desk to pay and price came up wrong. They then called the store manager his name is Greg cabral. He came over and said very nasty the price it is ringing up is what it is. He doesn't care it was in a different spot although it had no price for it in the store. He then said he is not giving it to me for that price, go buy it somewhere else.he can't help me. I asked for an 800 number to call, he said find one yourself and walked away.also I returned some stuff one time and this same man came over very nasty asking why I am returning and inspecting everything. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I can't believe you have a store manager that treats customers this way, treated me like I was beneath him Very rude nasty not nice and not welcoming. I will never shop at a kmart again. Hope you look into the matter so you can have some real customer service and not treat customer like garbage off the street.

I drove to kmart at opening time at 8am to cash my check and before I could even have her attempt to cash my check the lady behing the customer service counter told me she couldnt cash my check, there is big red sign saying free paycheck cashing, im very unsatisfied due to driving all the way to kmart for these services to be denied before even presenting my check, and also they are extremely short handed in cashiers and the store is filthy and unorganized and wont be offering any business to any kmart store or any affiliate if kmart again, in my opinion this is why walmart is stealing all business from kmart in belle vernon pennsylvania

I checked out at K-Mart today in the afternoon and bought only one thing. The issue was the cashier seemed to have an attitude with me for no real reason. Just when I put the item on her counter she slammed it on the scanner, bagged it, then slammed her hand on the scanner when we were saying our goodbyes. She gave me a "sweet" smile that you could tell was overly sugared, like I did something horribly wrong to her before. As I was walking away, I noticed she didn't do anything of the sort with the people behind me, nor in front of me from before it was my turn.
I've shopped at this location multiple times in the last year and never had any problems except the last couple times I went to check out. The cashier at the time (different one, male, also young) gave me an odd vibe and I thought nothing of it, then today's cashier proved there's something going on and for some reason it involves me? I have no idea. I'll surely not shop at a store with passive aggressive employees, and though I do enjoy wandering around the store I do not think it's worth encountering people who simply may be mistaking me for somebody else for all I know. If it was simply to chase me out, well they succeeded. I never did anything there but shop peacefully. Not a very sound business practice, by the way.
closing pharmacy not letting customers know about it
So i went online to refill my prescription and an error message kept coming up. So i call the pharmacy and i am transferred to CVS. No one ever bothered to tell me that the pharmacy was closing. Two of my prescriptions showed that they needed to be renewed by the doctor and of course i only have a days worth left of one of them and the doctor said may take three days to process.
front end manager
One afternoon last week and then again today 12/26/2016 I encountered the same issue at K Mart in Sanford, NC. Last week there was no cashiers and no registers open at approximately 8 pm. I had a shopping cart full of item so I went to the customer service desk to check out. The front end Manger refused to check me out and starting calling a cashier to a register. Today 12/26/2016 there was 2 registers open lined up through the clothing department and no customers and the service desk. The same front end manager would not ring any customers while many of us waited 30 minutes or more. As I was leaving the front end manager was sitting outside smoking a cigarette. Such poor customer service at this location and very little customers there at any given time. I am surprised that this location hasn't already shut there doors.

My son went to Kmart with me and while he was wondering around shopping Erica one of the employees confronted him saying he couldn't be there bacause he had been trespassed. when he told her it wasn't him she was very rude. He went out to our car and cooled off then went back to see proof it was him. She told him she didn't have to prove anything but took his number and full name and said they would get a hold of him after she talked to her friends at the police station. This took place on December 20, 2016. We have yet to here from them. I feel this employee should have had to show some kind of proof before making him leave the store. The staff at our store here are not trained on how to deal with the public. I feel this is a reflexion of the local management and both the manager and Erica should get some training. I also feel the store owes myson a public apology.
dirty store
I went to Kmart store and was shocked to see all that dirt and dust. Do they ever clean their store? Floor was terrible, covered with spots. I really felt disgusted after visiting this Kmart store. Dust was everywhere, every singe product was covered with it. After I left I immediately washed my hands. That's horrible and dreadful for customers health. I do not recommend buying from this nasty store.

I wanted to buy a bike and I was going to use pay online and pick up at store. The web page said none available within 50 miles. So I needed to go to kmart to my excitement there were 2 in store. Went to pay and no had to pay 57 not the 30 online. I dont understand a big company like kmart wont allow me to purchase the kmart online purchase? All the big store do. I couldn't pay online so I thought perfect nope the manager the clerk were rude. We dont price match? What I cant buy online say out of stock but you have 2 in stock. What is the point I left crying I was so mad treated that way plus driving over a hour to get to kmart getting excited then getting face slapped. Wow what a great company not. Very disapointed.
30 day return policy when you are 3 days beyond
Bought a car seat at Kalispell MT store took it to the baby shower in Medford ORE they did not need the one I brought no Kmart in The area brought it back to return but was told I was 3 days past the 30 day return policy. The box was not opened. I called customer service and they refused to help. I have never been to a store that would not take their merchandise back. 3 Days past the 30 days should be able to return...I hope I can sell this on Craigslist I will be losing $100.

There 3rd party vendors have items in stock available . Total lie. Order something never get it . Now have to wait 5 to 7 days for refund for item I never got. Call the company and they want to give you a 10 dollar discount to receive something 2 weeks after Christmas ? Kmart needs to go away affiliated with Sears ? So sad . I must admit however that no one I know thinks your " Go Elfing Wild" ads on tv are funny. We all know it is a play on Go "F"Ing wild and it not funny at Christmas time.
