I'm writing on behalf of my sister, I was out of town or I would have done something that day. My sister has had cancer 2 times and doesn't need this kind of treatment at all. No one does. She had a layaway and need to get refund so they gave her a gift card. She was shopping and drooped what she had in her arms on the floor along with the gift card. A couple of associates helped her (In which was very nice) they looked all around. Went to service desk and along with the sales associates to explain what happened and could they cancel the one gift card an issue a new one. The person name crystal, said no and that was it, the associates told her that they seen her and tried to help her, but still crystal was very rude and said no.
My sister has this year paid off over a thousand doll's in layaway purchases and doesn't deserve this at all. I would hope you will follow through with this and reprimand the crystal person, after all she does work with the public. My sister is on limited income. Ave called and been put on hold several times
rewards program
On the computer for the KMart website, I checked my rewards points before shopping. The site said I had $12 special rewards off spending $50. I spent 65.87 and did not get my $12 dollars off. I have had this happen to me several times. Sometimes it is on the receipt except this time it was NOT. I would appreciate being reimbursed for the $12.

Last week I went to one of Kmart stores and wanted to buy something. So in the end I left the store and bought nothing. There were a lot of people there, I don't know what was going on, maybe it's because Christmas is soon. Anyway I was standing in a huge line and it literally did not move. There were only two cashiers working, one of them was new and made tons of mistakes. Terrible service! This is actually Kmart main problem, there is always not enough cashiers!

This store in st. Petersburg fl / kenneth city fl is just horrible from the products to the managers the employees even the damn website. My daughter works here and I dont like how they treat her the dirext manager and the store manageer dont care the store manager said her dnt care about his cashiers, she told me how he has his favorite workers and just lets them do what they want the managers are so disrespectful to customers and employees most employees not doing there job. I constantly have to get price checks every time I shop there because nothing in their system is right the story is dirty omg how can u have a dirty store they have maggots in the garden area the website is no better I bought something online one time and after that I keep seeing purchases from kmart that I didn't make and they overdraft my bank account twice this kmart just need to get shut down

My family and I were checked out after spending nearly $800 on 4 separate transactions. My Dad used his credit card and realized he had 32, 000 points on his slip. I said i would ask this woman, Dale was her name, how to redeem them. She said go to customer service and they can help you. I said, no problem, we just weren't sure how to use them. As i walked away, she said, "I guess we are supposed to be mind readers ". I turned back to her and asked what she said and she said, "it's been a rough day". I told her that she is in customer service and i had a simple question and asked nicely what i had to do. I asked her what her name was and she said "Dale". I went to customer service where i asked to speak with a supervisor. I waited for a woman to come up to me. I told her that as a supervisor, myself, i wanted to bring this rude woman over to confront her with the manager because i know how things are amongst staff. She said that they dont confront employees that way, but she will get spoken too. I rolled my eyes because i know how that is just a line of crap! The manager then said, "everyone here has had a busy and stressful day". That is an absolutely absurd comment to make to any consumer! Especially coming from a manager. I once again said that I'm a nursing supervisor and if ANY of my employees were to speak to a patient in that way, they get suspended. Needless to say, nothing was done about this rude, ignorant person. I will NEVER go to the k-mart on 19 in New Port Richey, FL again. This hasnt been my first run in with viewing ignorance towards other customers at this particular store, however, it will be my last. This woman, Dale, should be reprimanded in an appropriate way via suspension. She is a disgrace to customer service reps everywhere! And as for the manager that told me they had a stressful day...you are an enabler for a poor work environment. You allow this kind of behavior on your watch?!?! You should be dismissed of your duties as well.
From what I personally believe, no employee should be confronted in front of a customer. There could be differences in stories, personal details, and other situations that may be none of your business. After many, many years in retail, and different retail industries, I have never seen an employee confronted in front of a customer. That is very unprofessional.

texas steer flexcore shoes oil resistant size 9 and 1 / 2
I have had these for a year and have just started wearing them and they squeak very load and i am unable to wear them, I thought maybe if i wear them a couple times it would stop but that is not the case . I no longer have the receipt as it was almost a year ago and I have had Texas Steer shoes before and never had a problem, so maybe another pair .

I have a transgender son who works at the k mart store in crofton Maryland. Another employee there named Kenya has been making harassing comments to my son about being transgender which has really upset him. The most recent comment She made to him was saying he will never be a real man because he won't ever have a penis. Then today as I drop my son off she told him to go home for no reason. My son has talked to the managers several times and they have done nothing about this situation. Which is really frustrating for me and him.

I was treated improperly and in an uncharitable manner at the K Mart store at Astor Place in New York City managed by ----Ward (store staff blocked name of manager so I couldn't take pic of manager sign). I purchased a 24 pack of soda and was told by cashier that customer service would wrap it in twin for me to easier carry it (I had it done for me previously several times and store is repeatedly out of adhesive straps which work GREAT IF store has).
Gal at CS REFUSED to tend to me repeatedly stating "we DON't do that You have to do that yourself". The other gal was working with Western Union customer and said she would help me when she finished. Neither brought the wrap out for me in case I decided to wrap it myself.
I said I thought it was improper to treat a 75 yr old woman as I was treated: refused and ignored...and A CUSTOMER. I took a picture of the offender - larger "lady"? in foreground.
I eventually picked up the heavy carton and carried it the 6 blocks and up the 60 steps to my apt. in the East Village. there was no line and no other customers for the offending woman to busy herself with. She was just plain MEAN and giving KMart a very bad name!
Most of the time the cashiers are very kind. esp a gal Shirley who seems to take it upon herself to ensure the customer is treated with respect. Shame on KMart for slipping up and hiring this bigoted individual (I am old...and white).
Would the case of soda weighed less with the twine attached?

damaged product
I received a damaged product from Kmart and immediately contacted customer service and asked for a refund.
They said that they can't give me a refund but said that they can send me a replacement. There was no other option so I agreed.
I sent the defective item back and that's it. I never heard anything from Kmart, they never shipped me anything. I'm still trying to contact them but everything is useless.
I would not recommend Kmart to anyone. Beware!
bought an item, picked up wrong size but won't exchange
I bought a pair of men's shoes but picked up a size larger than I meant to accidentally. When I got ready to wear them realized it was a 12 instead of 11.Tried on only but they refused to let me change them because no receipt. I paid cash and a lots of times don't use rewards card so I am stuck with a 12 I can't wear!This is ridiculous, Walmart will always exchange!Totally dissatisfied with this policy!
So because you chose the wrong shoes and you lost the receipt and you didn't use the rewards program it's their fault? Sounds like Walmart is better suited for people of your nature, anyways.

Recently went to one of these Kmart stores and needed some help. Asked one of the employees for assistance and asked me to wait 5 minutes and promised he'll be back. I said ok and stood there for about 20 minutes instead of 5 and no one came back. So I asked some other employee where was the guy who promised to help me and he said he had no idea. I asked to go and look for him but this second employee said he had no time and was extremely busy. I said ok. Next time I saw him he was standing there playing with his phone.
Finally found the guy about an hour later and when I asked him where he was he looked confused. He actually forgot about his promise. Terrible service.
poor return policy
Purchased a baby stroller for a baby shower on 6/10/16. Told cashier that the shower wasn't until 8/6 but since the stroller was on sale, wanted to purchase it. Was told by cashier that I needed to keep the gift receipt & there wouldn't be a problem returning it for store credit if needed.
Went to store today to return it & was told by cashier that the manager said no, 30 days had already passed. Didn't want my money back, just wanted store credit so I could purchase something that the mother didn't receive. (the item I was looking at buying would have cost me another $40)
I know the 30 days had passed but was told there wouldn't be a problem.
Manager wouldn't even come out to speak w/ me.
Horrible customer service! No wonder why Kmart & Sears are in trouble.

Having a 30 day return policy is not bad customer service, nor is it a bad policy. It is very generous since absolutely no store has to accept returns.

I sent my son Osmani to pick up an order on 06/29/2016 that I placed online at Kmart located in 3825 N.W 7th street Miami Fl 33126 store # 4728 sub-order # [protected] and when the lady who was at the register (by the name of Marcia) told him that she needed to see a photo ID, he said he had it in the car and went to get it, and when he came back she left my son standing in line and took care of everybody else who came after my son, ignored him to the point that he had to get help from a supervisor, this uneducated lady Marcia is not an asset for Kmart stores and should get a training in customer service and manners, this is not an acceptable way to treat a customer, we are not going back to this Kmart ever. 30 minutes to pick up a paid order, unbelievable but true. She did the right thing. Your son was not prepared so when he had to leave the line to get his ID (which if the package did not have his name on it she should not have released it to him), the next person in line gets served. Your son goes to the back of the line. Perhaps you need training in customer service and how to be a customer. Imagine you are in line and someone has to leave the line because they forgot their ID. You are next in line and he comes back and cuts in front of you. You would be mad that she took him ahead of you. Admit it.
received christening dress instead of minnie mouse crib bumper
I ordered a Minnie Mouse 4 piece crib set that couldn't be shipped directly to my home, so I had it sent to the closest store for pick up, which happened to be at 21st Street in Tulsa, OK. I live an hour or so away from there so I asked a friend who lives closer to Tulsa to pick it up for me when it came in. I received notification that my order had arrived at the store and was ready for pick up so I asked my friend to go pick it up. She did and called me when she got home with it. I had her look through it to send me pictures because I was excited to see it. She sent pictures of 3 of the 4 pieces I ordered, along with a christening dress that I did not order. The 4th piece of the crib set (the bumper) was missing. I was annoyed of course, but things like that happen with Walmart and Target too and it's always a quick fix so I figured this would be too. I called the 800 customer service line and talked to a lady who had a very hard time understanding me and I had an even harder time understanding her, but we got it figured out finally. She told me to go back to the store in Tulsa and they had the bumpers there so they could take the christening dress and give us the bumper. I called my friend and told her. So she went out of her way to go back up to the store and went to the customer service desk and told them what was said, after calling first to make sure we could do this and asking if they had the bumpers so she didn't waste a trip up there. The person at customer service told her they do have them and told her to go ahead and go to the back of the store to get them, rather than going and getting it or having someone go get it. She went all the way to the back of the store (she has lupus and fibro so this was no easy ordinary task) and when she got back up to customer service with the bumper the manager was there and said she couldn't exchange the christening dress for the bumper because the christening dress wasn't something they personally carry so she would have to call the 800 number to arrange an exchange from them. My friend explained we had already talked to a woman on the 800 number and this is what she told us we had to do. He seemed confused, so he called the 800 number himself to figure it out. He kind of got into it with whoever he talked to because they couldn't even keep their story straight with him on what we needed to do. Finally he hung up and told my friend to call the 800 number and they would arrange for UPS to pick up the dress and could send me the bumper. My friend asked if since she had the receipt and went all the way back to get the bumper and this was clearly Kmarts fault not ours, if she could take the bumper with her and mail back the dress. He said not without paying for the bumper. To which she replied, we already did. He did not care and did not seem concerned. No apology for the trouble or anything. So she left. She called me and let me know. I'm 6 months pregnant so this is stress I don't need so I had my husband take care of it. He called the store in Tulsa and talked to the manager, who again was extremely rude and uncaring and unapologetic. He even made a hateful comment about my friend being the "go between". My husband called the 800 number and the first lady he talked to was very apologetic and trying to help. She said we could send back the dress via ups and they would refund our card for the bumper. They got disconnected so my husband called back and got a different lady. This lady was rude and uncaring. She said there was no way to get any help from them because Kmart doesn't carry the christening dress and she couldn't help us. My husband asked to speak to her supervisor, she tried arguing but my husband insisted. She was transferring him when they got disconnected again! He called back and it was the same rude lady. He demanded to speak to her supervisor. She transferred him. The supervisor was very nice and got it all set up where UPS would go to our friends house and get the dress and then refund our card. After we were refunded we could call back and order the bumper with 10% off and no shipping charge. UPS did go to pick up the dress from our friends house, but they had a weird name even though my husband spelled my friends name for the supervisor twice. So ups didn't take the dress. My husband called the 800 number again, and spoke to a different supervisor who also apologized and corrected the name and sent a new ups pickup request. UPS came and picked up the dress. We waited 2 weeks or so and still had no refund. My husband called the 800 number again and spoke to a supervisor who said the dress had arrived back so we should have been refunded. She put in a request for our refund. We got the refund within the next couple of days and got our compensation for our trouble like they said we would and we did finally get our bumper. But bottom line is, I won't shop from Kmart again and neither will my family or friends after this. This was a month long chaotic headache that was handled terribly by this company, both on the 800 number and in the store in Tulsa. Kmart clearly doesn't value their customers or care much about inconveniencing them. My business will definitely go elsewhere from now on and I am spreading the word.

I purchased 2 bikes online for pickup in the Elmwood Park store. Before I headed to the store I called to make sure the bikes were assembled. I was told 1 was and the other was not. I asked if the 1 could be assembled and was transferred to the manager which I had to explain the reason for my call again. The manager said that they have a person one comes in every 2 weeks and he would be back the 2nd week of July. I could stop in and choose another assembled bike if I wanted and return the other bike.
I went to the store looked at the other bikes and returned the 1 bike and picked up the other. I was never even asked if I needed assistance to my car!
I would think in spring and summer bike purchases would be an hot item.!
I will think twice before making any other purchases at KMART.

I would have taken someone with me to pick them up, or asked for help. But that is just me.
Did you ask for assistance to your car? What a dumb complaint. You wold think someone picking up two assembled bikes would have either taken someone with them to the store or asked for help.
texas steer work boots
I bought a pair of these boots about 3 years ago. I've worn them about a dozen times over the years. They have never been used in the water, just dry dusty locations. This last weekend I was in the mountains prospecting when i noticed the soul on the right boot was coming off. Before I could get back home later that evening, the soul was off clear back to the heal. The soul on the left boot is just starting to come off in the middle of the boot. These are really junk boots and KMart needs to stop selling them and exchange this garbage for good boots.
music in store
I recently was shopping at Kmart store, 4810; 2940 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, La 70002. The music that was being loudly played by K Mart and could be heard by everyone in the store and had music that contained the "f***" word, over and over. I was very disturbed by this and it was reported to the manager. He said he could do nothing, as he had no control over the music that was being played. Unacceptable answer.

1.99 topsoil
I went to kmart today to buy topsoil to fix my yard where I removed 8 stumps. I bought 30 bags at 40 lbs a piece. They were $1.99 a bag. When I got home and dump them in the areas I needed to fix to my surprise half the bag of all 30 bags was all rocks, sticks and roots. This is absolutely rediculous. I go to menards and spend $1.30 for a bag of premium top soil with nothing but dirt in them. Is kmart going to pay to replace a window when a rock goes through it from the lawn mower? How do you screw up top soil? I guess you are saving money by filling the bags with rocks. I will spread the word to everyone I know about this. Anti kmart is my stand at this point. They are a complete rip off.

On May 24, 2016 I attempted to exchange a gift(L shirt to XL) without a receipt at the Kmart location. The shirt was unused and still tagged. I was informed that the new company policy does not allow for this unless the purchaser of the gift was part of their membership group.
These type of anticustomer policies will ensure that Kmart and all of it's stakeholders will suffer further decline. After being a customer of that store for over 20 years, I will never patronize that establishment or any other Kmart unless they resolve this issue quickly and to my satisfaction.
No it won't. It was not that long ago that businesses survived for decades not doing refunds without a receipt. I am actually glad retailers are going back to this policy.
why not lease it... (t. v)
I leased a TV from kmart was on sale 400. I could of bought it out right but kmart and why not lease it. Tell me its something like a layaway plan but u get to take it home. I added warranty 100 plus tax so 650.00. now I put 250 down and pd 66.something a month for 6 months I noticed they hit me with 2 diff. 25.00 late fees never paid late.
I call due to them telling me I missed a payment. I said how I over pd and now they say if i pay 350.00 more it's done. Are you crazy. 66.00 x6 months is 666.00 plus 250 I put down. over 900 for a 400 tv n now they want 350.00 I could of re bought my 50" 3d smart tv that I got ripped offrom by samsung. im Appolled at how rude these people are. DO NOT DO WHY NOT LEASE IT
I KNO WE WHY THEY ROBB YOU. if kmart n sears back these people maybe we all should shop somewhere else. this is illegal. they don't give you a interest rate. or tell you you pay more then the price. it's misleading, and down right illegal. I feel a class action lawsuit.
