bad service
I purchase a bed for my mother from your Danforth location, after it was delivered it were some manufacturing issues. I decided that I would exchange it for something different. Once I arrived at you store I as told that it was your companies policy that you did not offer returns/refunds, which was fine as I found another bed but then I was told that not only do you not offer returns/refunds you do not offer exchanges.
I have never heard of a company that does not offer at least an exchange.
I was told repeatedly that it was company policy I had to keep the bed I purchased, they would send a technician to put the bed together but I did not have a choice I had to take the bed.
I have never had an issues with Leon in the past 20 years that I've shopped there. I was apalled that no one care about customer satisfaction. If this is indeed your company policy then I am sorry to say I will never be shopping at Leon's again and I will most definitely be letting friends and family and posting on social media about my experience

MY name is Jenny Kulbacki & My order # is 07188WPDQSI. We were looking for a new bed set and found this one with a whole headboard piece with storage and storage under the bed. We told the sales rep we were dealing with ViVi I believe her name is that we wanted that headboard piece specifically and she told us in that one price we were seeing it wasn't included but we would put it into the computer & see how much it is. We were fine with that. We bought a mattress as well for us & our daughter. Went & put everything in & paid. She went over our bill with us & said this is the headboard you were wanting, that's great. By this time we were ready to get out of there we had our two daughters with us and were having some troubles understanding her as her English wasn't the greatest. Thought we had ordered exactly what we wanted with some extras that were included in the bundle. Spent almost $4000. 4 weeks later and everything's delivered. My husband is out of town & they tell me I have 3 days to unpack these huge boxes & make sure nothing is damaged. I somehow manage to do this & realize that the piece that we specifically wanted us not there and I guess it's not on our bill. When I call I am told bc I signed off & I packed the boxes if we want to return we have to pay a restocking fee even though I'm told I have to open them. Trying to explain to the lady why I'm upset after about 5 phone calls & one asking if they could see if we could switch the dresser out for the piece we wanted and then being told that person should have never said that in the first place and then being cut off every 2 seconds instead of listening to what I'm saying. Worst customer service, having to ask the person to finish letting you speak so they can properly understand what you're trying to say.
Finally get to talk to the manager and have a better conversation. I understand where they're coming from, but think they fully get why I'm upset and the only thing they're offering to do is reduce a restocking fee to 25% and then we can credit the rest to the piece we want which is almost $2000 more on top of what we already paid in the first place thinking we already had ordered this piece. I am very upset with the service provided and will not be shopping here again and telling everyone else not to and also very disappointed in the lack of trying to correct a wrong. It seems they're more interested in telling us we should have clarified what we wanted better than admit that they should've done the same and did not provide us with exactly what we told the sales person we wanted.

You have zero customers service. Had to contact store to see if my washer dryer combo that we paid cash upfront for was in dryer was in but washer would be another 3 weeks. 7 weeks to get a washer that is crazy. They blamed it on the factory. Not one bit of restitution mentioned or compensation for us having to wait. Contacted a competitor with the exact same combo and they have no problem meeting they delivery. Who's BS who here. 1st and last time dealing with Leon's. still contemplating on trying to get my money back and going somewhere else who has more integrity and honesty than you people.

Bought a new lg washing machine, went to pick it up and they sold it.. gave me the floor model. Then when they were loading into my truck the gave me a dryer instead. After an hour of fixing this I brought it home paid to have it hooked up and the first wash something leaked all over my floor flooding it... now had to take up the floor to fix... I'm sorry but i cant deal with the people here anymore.. need some answers please .

Hi my name is Geraldine and my husband and I live in Kentville Nova Scotia we bought a set of coffee table and end tables in March of this year we got the end tables in July and the coffee table we just got Friday they must of had to grow the trees first I guess. We also bought a fridge, stove and microwave as well in April got the stove in June and the microwave a week or two later the fridge I guess they said was back ordered and would not come until some time in the first part of Aug. so we got our money back and went to Home Depo in New Minas ordered the same fridge and got it in a week so were they growing this to. Now our bed we ordered in April to and they said that it would be about 14 week's before it would come 4 week's later it was here BUT when the bed came there was no foot board and no hock's to hock the railing to the head board so they gave us the head board and foot board from there show room and they did not know where our foot board was so after another month I guess our head board and foot board came but they gave us the same head board they gave us the first time so we said that we are keeping there head board and we made alot of trips out to see them to find out where things were and they would always tell u something different so the morel to this story is do not buy ant thing from Leon's and now that we have every thing from them we will NEVER EVER buy anything from them again. pull up couch
We bought a $2000 pull up couch sometime in March in which we have had issues ever since. The couch would lock in at random times and once to a point which required a technician to come over and have a look. It is the most uncomfortable and worst $2000 investment ever made. This was bought for guest purposes- which means it wasnt used at all times. I did not realize how uncomfortable t was until i spend a nighht sleep in that cheaply made product myself. I had a sore back for a week because of the bed/matress going in almost like a hammock. Having told the Leons customer service and management about the issues, they brought in two technicians and came to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with it-there isnt any defect? How can there not be a defect when the real make of it is a defect. These couches should be recalled if it is that they dont find anything wrong with what i had complained about. To this day no one uses the couch. Its uselesss to us and a waste lf $2000 from a company that we have spend thousands of doars for years now. They did not even give us the option of swaping it with another bed to see if it might be different. Very disspointed. Worst customer service. Worst experience. Entire family Has boycotted Leons!
They sent in a technician twice to check in and take oictures and came to the conclusion that there is nothing erong woth the bed and they cannot do anything-no swping it no exchange for something else.

vent less dryer whirlpool
I purchased a vent less dryer in June 2017, when I bought my Whirlpool washer and dryer stackable. The sales lady at the time of purchase didn't tell me it was a vent less dryer, she called me a day later to tell me.
I asked her what vent less dryer meant, she said you don't need a vent but it works just as good.
well I have had to technicican's in about my dryer and still it is not working, the last guy that came in last week said he took the dryer apart and turned up the thermostat and he said I might need a new compressor, I have been trying to contact King & state to let them know it still isn't working, I can never get a hold of anyone there, I tried calling the store in Brampton and Davey said that I have to go through King & State, I am very frustrated as my hydro bills have doubled the last couple of months because I have to turn the dryer on 3 times to dry one load, it takes me 3 hours to do one load which is crazy. But according to King & state tech he said that is normal. I guess he doesn't do laundry. I want a vent dryer not a vent less one.
I have a complaint into the Better Business bureau they are trying to help me get this resolved. if this doesn't get resolved soon I am putting an article in the paper about Leons's customer service I will never deal with your company again nor will my family or friends.

I purchase a few large items at leon's last in oct 2017. Yesterday I was sitting on the dinning room chair I purchase from leon's. And one of the chair leg all of sudden broke. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant. Fall hard straight down on the floor! The quality of this product clearly does not met the requirements to sell! I have not even purchase this product for an year!

I bought a sharp TV that was on the display in leons furniture thats located at 81 bryne drive in barrie ontario, as i came to install it at home i figuered that the TV screen have color damage, i returned it the next day to the store and spoke with the store manager (dan) and the sales manager (steve) and they both said "we cant help you, call the manifacture". I called the manifacture and they said they cant fix the TV and the store have to replace it. I contacted the store agian and they said i can exchange it and get new one but i have to pay 61$, which i did and i signed paper and i was supose to pick it up the next day, the next day i went to pick it up and then the store manager changed his mind and said to pick up my broken TV.

lana 2 piece sectional - defective
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE- OR LEONS IN GENERAL. We purchased a $1350 ($1535.67 total) couch- (Lana 2 Piece Sectional) in December of 2014. They were very helpful during the sale and gave us all of the typical assurances, we thought that we were making a smart purchase on a quality item, and even bought what we thought was an extended warranty. THE FRONT OF THE FRAME OF OUR COUCH HAS BROKEN 3 TIMES in 3.5 YEARS. The front of the couch is held together by a thin piece of MDF type material, the whole things is actually only held together by a few pieces of wood- its garbage! They replaced half of the sectional during the first year when it happened the first time (apparently there is a measly 1 year warranty - who gets a new couch each year!?!?), but this year the couch started kicking out at the front corner because the frame was broken there- so we put a bracket in ourselves. Now, on the other piece of the sectional the front of the frame has completely detached from the side wall of the couch! They absolutely refuse to help in anyway and told us that they have "done everything they can" - doing everything you can would be replacing our CLEARLY DEFECTIVE COUCH! We do not have children, heavy pets etc- the couch has recieved no abuse to warrant this level of damage. It also looks terrible after just 3.5 years, the cushions have completely sagged, it's awful. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM LEONS AGAIN, AND I WILL ADVISE ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO DO THE SAME- ITS A SCAM AND NO BETTER THAN THE BRICK! Shop at Stoney Creek Furniture, Structube, or even Ikea for better quality! Or save your money and buy something for less at Rosehill, at least you will be less disappointed when it breaks and they wont help!

I bought the extended warranty from leons brampton for all my 5 appliances. My dishwasher is not working and i opened the ticket with leons in the month of May 2018 and till now its not fixed. I dont know if it actually takes months to fix just a dishwasher. Everytime tech calls he has different excuses like wrong part delivered to him or his car broke down.

Back in December 2017, I ordered a Recliner sofa online and after 7 months I still haven't received my chair. I have called my local store which is at (20015 Langley Bypass #130, Langley, BC V3A 8R6) probably 20 times now and every time they will tell me its on back order and you will get next month. I cannot believe this is how they are running their businesses. this is the first time I ordered anything from them and guess I wont be ordering any. Strange thing is they took the money same day I ordered my chair.

Today dated July 20, 2018, afternoon around 3.00pm, we experience very bad customer service at your branch near Vaughan mills/299 bass pro mills Dr, Concord.
As we enter your furniture store, We talked with the supervisor and the manager as they told us they are, but i was not sure they are so due to their bad behavior as customer service .
They were not helpful and try to blame us and they did not even say sorry for what happened as a customer service they should try to comfort their customer as much as they can to keep their locality.
If this sevrvice stay like this, I expect your company will close out soon.

ALL THE LEONS stores are a joke.. they only have GM's and no direct owners.. when you tell the GM's you will complain to head office they directly tell you that the complaints will come directly back to them to deal with it.. so basically even if you call head office you get to deal with a STUPID dumb ignorant receptionist that doesn't listen and just transfers you.. you can't get a live person and when you leave a message for Customer Relations they don't call you back...

I bought alot of staff from your store near vaughan mills, since dec, 2017. Was looking for an apartment to deliver my staff there. At the beginjng of this month I got a call from staff informing me that they got all my stuff im mississauga 201 britannia road, as I told them that I got an apartment there, but due to some issues I could not get the mississauga apartment, I got one in etobicoke so I called to setup a delivery date but they said it will take two week to deliver. I went on wednesday after 7pm to mississauga to pick them up, I paid for movers, we load every thing except of loveseat which was comletely damaged as told by your staff there. While we assemble the stuff we noticed that we got a bed, dressing and one night stand, which was not what did I wanted in my order. Cause when I saw it in your showroom all the pices ere there and your staff did not say that those two pices (one nightstand &chest) is not included and I have to pay for them.
Today I wend to your bass bro store near vaughan mills to see what is happining I saw the supervisor and manger, athough I douted that was the manager they were blaming me and they did not do any effort ro help me out any single thing, I got ao appointed they dis not even say sorry!
I thought when I came to you that I will get the best service ever, but I was soooooo wrong.

On june 17th 2018 i ordered a coffee table from leons furniture the salesperson i spook with was john nolan they told me they didnt have it in stock at the time so he told me they would call when it was ready one month later coffee table arrived but when it arrived and i took it out of the box i saw something weird about the side i went to see what is was and there was a big crack on the side so now i want to have it returned and replaced.

On April 7, 2018 I purchased an Ashby sofa-bed from the Sherway Garden Leon's Furniture, Ltd. store. I was told at the time, and it is written on my receipt, to expect delivery 8 - 10 weeks. I hadn't heard from the store by June 30th, 12 weeks after the purchase. The individual who answered the phone said the 8 - 10 weeks was just an approximation, but my order had shipped and would arrive the following week. I waited the following week and heard nothing from Leon's. I waited another week and followed up on July 13th (14 weeks) later. The individual who answered the phone said exactly the same thing - the 8 - 10 weeks is approximate, but I see your order has shipped and will arrive next week.
I informed him that I had called 2 weeks earlier and was told the same thing. He then put me on hold to speak with the sales person. When he returned, he asked if the sales person could call me back. I agreed.
The sales person called me back and told me the sofa-bed would likely ship the last week of July, but not to expect it until some time in August, the first or second week. That is 18 - 19 weeks, double what I was verbally told, and provided in writing. I have been without a sofa-bed for 6 weeks, going on another 4. She told me if I cancel the order now, I forfeit my deposit of $539.18, despite the fact that they have failed to meet their commitment.
What are my options.

I ordered my couch in March. It didn't get delivered for about 3 maybe ok months. Then when it arrived it's broken. We have been waiting for over a month for the console piece that attaches the loveseat to be fixed. The customer service in Welland is not helpful. We are frustrated with Leon's and will not buy anymore furniture from you guys. We already purchased a bedroom set and our living room set. But are very disappointed with your service, and the time lines we have been waiting for the money we have paid out.
Bought the couch on 03/13/18 did not receive for 5 months and now still waiting for the repair of middle console to be able to assemble the loveseat. It's damaging the floors rolling around. I'm frustrated with the customer service at the Welland branch. I will never recommend purchasing from Leona again. I furnished two rooms of my house in the last 6 months and though I was a valid customer and would recieve better service.

On Friday, March 9th, 2018, my husband and I went to the Peterborough home show.
We were casually chatting with the two sales reps. from Leon's Peterborough who were extremely upbeat and personal. They suggested we come into their Leon's store as we were in the market for a new mattress.
On Wednesday, March 14, 2018 we went to Leon's Peterborough looking for the friendly upbeat sales rep. we had met the week previously. Her name is Amber (Maria) Boyce.
We explained to Amber that our needs were a little bit specific as I suffer from chronic fibromyalgia. So I required something firm yet soft at the same time. Amber was not familiar with my condition whatsoever, and was definitely not as personable and bubbly as she had been at the home show.
We tried out many mattresses in the store as Amber's expertise in the bedding department left a lot to be desired. Finally we picked out a Sealy DDJ Queen Cushion Firm After Dusk. Then Amber was pressing us to buy the mattress protector for an added $139.00. I wasn't crazy about the extra expense but in case there was a problem, we figured it couldn't hurt. As this would allow us a 90 day window if we were not content with this mattress style.
From the first night we got the mattress, I was not feeling comfortable on it at all. It was as hard as a brick. Definitely not what my body so desperately needed. We were told we had a 90 day window to reselect.
On Friday, June 1st, 2018 we went back to Leon's to hopefully select a proper mattress. Unfortunately we were approached by Amber, and we explained why we were there. Her attitude was less than thrilled to see us. But she led us to the mattress section to reselect.
We tried many mattresses and ended up picking the exact one we had. The interesting part here is that on the same mattresses, half of it is soft and the other half is hard. We advised Amber that we had been shipped the wrong mattress as ours was hard, not soft like the sample we chose.
Amber then proceeded to get Glen Barton, the store manager, and we explained our dilemma to him. Glen was a true gentleman and very eager and motivated to help with our plight. We explained about my physical ailment and we thought we had been shipped the harder mattress in error. So Glen suggested we return home to take photographs of the mattress tag, which we did. Unfortunately the tag had been improperly sewn on which made it nearly impossible to read. But we did take a picture and send it to them.
On June 21, 2018 Leon's delivery fellow came to our home and took more pictures of the mattress tag. Two weeks after the Leon's delivery fellow was here, we had still not heard any updates. My husband at that point emailed Glen Barton.
Yesterday, someone from Leon's called us to say we had the correct mattress and that if we chose to change it there would now be a $75.00 reselection fee.
We still feel we were shipped the wrong mattress. It is possible the mattress was mis-labeled when it was made. Human error is possible, we understand that. But the run around we are getting is definitely not putting Leon's in a very favorable light in our eyes.
In the past we have purchased many household large ticket items from Whitby Leon's without any issues whatsoever. In fact, the sales rep. we had in Whitby was totally outstanding. A far cry from how this fiasco is unfolding.
The whole matter in question is that the store sample and the mattress we took delivery of are two distinct densities.
As quality sleep is so imperative to my life, I am writing to you, head office to please look into this matter for us.
