credit card offers are nothing but trouble
This is an ongoing issue with Macy's Credit card services! I was a Macy's card holder for many years. One day while I was shopping a sales person offered to upgrade my credit card for better benefits. I agreed & received the new card, not knowing that it was a different card & now I had 2 Macy's cards. Not only that she didnot provide the right information but caused me a lot of time & extra fees to close one of the accounts. Then they charged my bank account twice for a payment for the account balance of $97. Two weeks after authorizing a payment I received a call from Macy's that the payment didn't go through & I had to authorize it again, which I did! but when I got the bank statement there was a double charge so I had to call Macy's several times to sort this out & I was told to fax a copy of the statement to Macy's accounting beacuse there is no other way (electronically) then I had to follow up with them to see if they had received the fax which I was told it could take up to 2 months due to the fax volume...! how bizzare is that?!
I started recieving calls from Macy's to prove this payment & the only way was fax which they couldn't find anyway... so frustrating & time consuming...finally after months of conversations back & forth, a supervisor at Macy's customer service assured me that its all cleared & account is closed.
To this date after 6 months, I still receive calls from Macy's everyday asking to pay $97 balance plus late fees & when I explain what happened they look at the notes & tell me forget this call ..all ok...until the next call...I am absolutley stunned by the incompetency of their customer service and don't know how to end this issue. Today I received another call & talked to a new Macy's rep which I demanded to speak with a supervisor "Felipe Tovon"again & heard the same thing that it's all ok... This has gone too far, too much of my time & energy, ruined my credit...I have closed my account with Macy's & will never step into their stores but will it end?! I like to talk to someone in charge, I mean really in charge!
price discrepancy - wrong item prices charged at register
To whom it may concern
This comment is regarding my recent trip to macys cerritos july 23
. I am a regular macy's shopper mostly I shop online.
Yesterday after long time I went inside store to shop for mens clothing. Which turn out to be the worst experience I had in macys for me ever. I picked some shirts, some from clearance section when I went to register to pay. The regular price on the shirt was $59.50 and for sale clearance it was $18.83. When it was scan on register the price was $21.13.
I asked the rep (loranne) why the price is different as it has to be same $18.. She mentioned from past 2- 3 weeks there pos is being charging different prices for clearance item and she cant do anything. I told her its not right I am buying the shirt clearly says $18 and u charging more. She mentioned she can’t over right the price and if I don't want shirt I can leave it. I even told her if she can take off that $2.30 difference in my other purchase. She mentioned she cant and acted that I am asking something way to big. I asked nicely to please call the manager and they have to honor the price on shirt. She was rude and mentioned again that even manger cant do anything, what the pos is scanning I have to pay that price and or leave shirt and hurry up and other people are waiting behind me. I gave up as I liked the shirt and don't want to make a big deal and sound cheap that iam fighting for $2.30 discount. But its not about $3 it is about the being rip off by a big store to consumer. Charging more then advertised and the customer service not helping to fix and saying its been happening from past 2-3 weeks. Not sure hoe many people before me has been ripped off like that. I finally took the shirt paying $21... And now writing the email as I have been relly pissed by all what happen.
It felt very cheap on my part being told by sales rep its just small difference and I can pay no big deal. I bought on 2nd receipt $100 stuff also I don't mind paying $2.30 more but I did not felt paying as it was wrong and I was wrongly charged and felt ripped off and insulted by employee.
Highly dissatisfied attach are the receipts of the transaction

fraudulent credit card charges on a zero balance
Macy's has charged me 3 months in a row a $2.00 charge and some months adds additional charges totaling $4.48. I have called each time and they agree to drop it, but today I received yet another bill for $2.00. I have had a zero balance for 6 months and have not charged on this card. This is straight up fraud and needs to be stopped! I closed the card today, but I have my doubts that this will actually be closed. I am expecting to continue to have problems with Macy's and I will NEVER shop or have a card through Macy's as a result of this scam. Macy's should NOT be allowed to charge interest on a zero balance; this is theft and they should be stopped.
security
I am a frequent shopper of Macys. I told my son about the great sales. So today I drove my son to Macys for him to buy himself some clothes.
My son first went to the jewelry department and spent 250 dollars on earrings. He was given the bag and was not given the receipt. He thought nothing of it. He then went and bought some clothes . On the way out he decided to put his diamond earrings on as he was walking through the store. Your floor walker who by the way was following him every where . Grabbed him by the shirt and snatched the bag away from him. Yelling at him causing a huge scene. This was horrible and your worker is very lucky my son didn't break his neck.
My son is a UFC fighter and is full of tattoees all over his body. It's part of his image.
Your worker accused him of stealing the earrings. After they went back to the jewelry department, the worker said, no he just bought the earrings ten minutes ago.
There were several customers who made comments about how my son was treated. Many told him to call an attorney.
Macy's needs to have their security, floor walkers, stop RACIAL PROFILING. MY SON is African American and has tattoees. Does that mean he can't shop at your store.
You know what the only funny thing is that while I was in the parking lot, two white elderly women, walked out and was standing in front of my car, and was taking clothes out of their large purses. One even had a medium size cooking pan.
This horrible incident happened at the Fair view South dale, in Richfield MN.
So now what are you going to do?
Do we need to contact an attorney and the news and social media ?
Just an fyi, I am white.
Thanks for your attention
Gretchen

macy's job recruitment
I would like to share my recent interview experience at Macy's. This was at the Pearland Mall location branch in Pearland, TX. I had applied online for the advertised Full time position of Cashier in this Pearland store. I am a college graduate with required experience and had all the necessary skills outlined for this position.
Initially, following online application, didn't get any response after which I called the Pearland Store and talked to some person in administrative dept who told me they are not hiring then I asked for the store manager (Brendon) about my application who could retrieve my application and told me that he would look into it. After couple of days, I got an email invitation for interview from Macy's centralized HR and set up an interview appointment at Pearland Macy's store on 19th May at 11.am. At the scheduled date and time I went to the store and was interviewed by a jewelry Dept Manager named Tiffany who was so impressed with my interview that she immediately wanted me to work in the Jewelry Department. On 25th of May, the current HR person named Linda called and verbally offered me the job in the Men's Department. She asked me to come to the store and fill up the required paper work but I told her that I was going out of town (which I already mentioned during my interview) but if it was necessary I would come. Then she told me that I don't need to come that day, I can call them after I come back the following week to set up the time for the paperwork.
After I came back from out of town in a week, I called the store and the former HR person Claudia told me that the position was not open yet and they would call me when it becomes open. However, she also mentioned during that conversation that part-time position is open if I would be interested. I told her that I applied for the full time position and I would be waiting for that position. After waiting for couple of more weeks without any phone call from the store, I went to the Store myself and talked to Claudia about the position who then again told me the same thing the post was not open yet and if I would be interested in a part-time position. I again respectfully told her that I applied for an advertised full time position. She then told me that they will call me when the position will be open. After waiting another couple of weeks I called the store on 6th of July and talked to Tiffany, the Jewelry manager who said she would call me back. After sometime she called me at home and again told me that part-time position was available but I told her again that I applied for the full time position. She then told me that store manager was in vacation and would call me when he would return following Monday. So far, I haven't received any call from the store.
My concern is fairness in Macy's recruiting machinery. I have more than 18 years of retail experience in many departments at Sears and 5 years in the lead cashier's position, teller position in Bank of America for 4 years. They verbally offered me the position and even mentioned about the starting pay and the Department but this fall out increasingly leading me to doubt about recruitment. After initial interview and the verbal offer by calling me at home, the managers and HR people in the local store backed away from the final paper work which raises many questions including the transparency of the whole recruiting process at the local store level.
Hope this letter draws the attention of Macy's corporate who can take appropriate action so that recruitment transparency prevails in their micromanagement level and mitigate the false hope for the hundreds of genuine job seekers like me in future.
ups delivery service
On July 7, 2017 I purchase (2) accent chair from Macy's my delivery date was July 15, 2017 tracking number 1ZY848750398051956 I took the day off from work to receive the chairs. No chairs were delivered July 15, 2017. UPS posted after 4pm that my chair missed the train and will be delivered the next business day which is Monday . I inform UPS I will not take another day off from work to receive the chair. My next day off from work will be 7-22-17 I spoke to several customer service to secure the date. A Representative from UPS told me I had to pick up my own chairs I told them I paid for delivery this is furniture. I don 't have a car big enough to load the chairs. UPS Representative told me she will try to set up the chairs for Friday 7-22-17. Tell me why on 7-17-17 on chair was delivery after 7:30 pm I was not home my neighbor took in the one chair, so I guess the other chair will arrive on 7-22-17. This is my first and last time I will order anything from Macy's that requires delivery to my home. Unsatisfied customer.
leather sectional - insured by uniters
I called the find out about a sectional I have. One of he seats reclines and is not working. The lady on the phone was very nice.. I was doing house work and askes me.. When did you notice it wasn't working. I told her not I think about a month or so. She then satiates that my claim is denied because it had to be called in within 14/15 days. If she would of asked me to be more specific I would of give ner the day juky 4th. The sofa was over $4000. I want my seat to be fixed. Uniters is interpreting my words unfairly. Is date is time sensitive they need to say it..
cashier
I was treated unfairly and like an animal by the cashier. Went in the store to return a brand new top with tags on it. A cashier by the name of Zhaneta in Macys at the Glendale Galleria was looking at the top for five minutes smelling it looking at the tag and so forth. Then she accuses me of washing it and putting the tags in my self. She should be ashamed of herself for accusing me of something thats not true. Then she supervisor and tells her Ive washed it. What a lie. Supervisor comes and notices its brand new and returns it immediately. This is discrimination
bad customer service representatives
On 6/8/2017, my first attempt to resolve a $150 credit refund issue on 12/12/2016 statement. A representative called "Rob" answered the call. He immediately put me on hold after hearing my issue and completely disappeared after I was on hold for 25 minutes without even checking back with me once. I immediately called again and spoke with "Srelene". She told me to wait for 6 weeks to receive a dispute letter from Macy's.
Today, 6/14/2017, I received a billing statement via email from Macy's for $134.10 charge. So, I called again wanting to know if I should wait to pay for this charge since I am disputing my $150 refund credit. And again, "Rob" answered the called, I confronted him on his disappearing after putting me on hold for 25 minutes...He responded "I was on vacation for a month and just came back today, so it's impossible that was me." I knew that was him in my heart but there's no reason to argue the fact, so I proceeded to tell him the question I had. And guess what, after 6 minuets, he hanged up on me again! So, I immediately called again and spoke with James and he seemed to resolve the issue I had for now because he told me "The $150 check had been sent out on 6/9, you should get it any time now."
After hanging up the phone, I thought Macy's should know about this bad representative "Rob", so I went on Macy's website to search on "Where can I leave a feedback on a representative?" but came without any resolve except a customer service numbers. So, I decided to call and find out from Macy's directly.
This time, "Howard" answered the phone and gave me directions to find a place to leave my feedback where I had already done the same exact routes before I gave up searching on my own. He, then, told me he would transfer me to the right "department" where they know the answer. So, "Angelica" answered the phone and spoke with a string of words in a lightning speed, which I couldn't understand a word she said, so I said to her " I am sorry! I don't understand Spanish." She, then, spoke with a slower speed and I realized she was speaking English earlier. I repeated my question "Where can I leave a feedback on a representative?" and described to her the long story and the reason I wanted to leave a feedback about "Rob". She told me that she would report to the department on my behalf in a Spanish sounded English. After that, she told me she wanted to check on my credit issue for me, and asked me to give her the order numbers. I was looking for the order numbers where I had no clue how to find it...and yet she repeatedly forced me to give it to her immediately! After a few minutes on searching an order numbers for her, she said if I could give her my phone numbers she can find it at her end. During which time, her tone was harsh and impatient hinting that she didn't believe my story about the credit. Finally, I found out the credit must have came from the return on 10/2/2016 purchase of 4 Calvin Klein shirts. She then calmed down from her harsh, impatient tone toward me, and wanted to transfer me back to credit service department since she claimed they have a more detail records about it. I stopped her to do so and told her the refund issue seemed to be resolved for now; this call was only to find out the answer on "Where can I leave a feedback on a representative?". And she repeated that she would report my feedback to the department in her Spanish English.
After finishing talking with Angelica, I wanted to to leave this call's feedback about her harsh and impatient tone and her very hard to understood Spanish English. I hold on and waited for the survey to come up but then she appeared and asked me if I have something else to ask. I simply told her that I was waiting for the survey for this call...
credit card
I have been using this credit card for years and paying my bill on time. I thought I had paid it off and for 4 months I had not heard from Macy. In April, I received a bill and was shocked to find I had a balance! I called to clear this amount and paid it totally off and spoke with a man in collections. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but I'm sure they have it in their database at Macy's. I inquired and was specifically told that this would not be reported to the credit bureau; however today, when I tried to use the Macy card I was told it was declined and closed! Totally embarrassing but rude not to let me know, when I specifically asked, that it was ALREADY CLOSED WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE MAN IN APRIL! Macy has had poor customer service in the past, I heard, but never encountered it for myself until now. I'm glad it is closed now, because I wouldn't want to use it for anything moving forward. However, I do want my name cleared and my FICO score returned to the high number it has always been...until this issue!
lost watch
On may 9, 2017, I dropped off 2 watches - 1 fossil men's watch for battery & band replacement (Waiting on the band delivery the reason why the watch had been in the possession of the watch repair shop) and 1 timex indigo lady's watch for battery replacement. When I dropped it off, I told the heavy set guy (Forgot his name) that I will pick-up both watches when the fossil's watch band arrives. I asked for a ticket, he said I didn't need one. I work 1 block away from sacramento downtown macy's so I didn't push the issue since I thought the band will arrive the following tuesday delivery. I called every week to check on my watches. The week of may 15, I called and spoke to jay — I made sure to ask him about the 2 watches.. He reassured me both watches were in their possession. While I was out of town last week, I got a call from the guy that helped me when I dropped off the watches — letting me know that the band had arrived and it was ready for pick-up. I went to pick-up the watches today and he can't find my timex watch.. It is a cheap watch but it has a sentimental value. He said he gave it back to me when I dropped off the watches... He couldn't have because I told him I didn't pay/charged anything that day on my cards or cash... And the fact that I told him initially that I will pick up both watches at the same time. I mentioned to him what jay said the prior week that they had both watches.. He said jay has been there for 7 years and was too lazy to open up the watches envelopes to check if the watches were really there... He gave me 2 envelopes.. 1 with the fossil watch and 1 with the old band from the fossil watch. He cannot find my watch. I paid and left the store. I politely asked him to check with jay. He said he will call me when he checks with jay... That was almost 3 hours ago and I still haven't heard back from him. Ref: r7150406007607557109 / [protected] / [protected]/0076/1236pm / 05/30/17 $47.61. I would appreciate a resolution and a call back regarding this matter. I'm sure if you check your camera, you will find that I left the repair shop 2 watches. See attached receipt. Thank you.
false accusation
On wednesday, may 10, 2017 my mother pura c ventura have been accused of theft in garden city macy’s. A security from lost and prevention approached to the end of her shift for questioning. She collaborated with the person for 4hrs, since she know she innocent.

When she was in the office, she request to see the video, the video was not shown to her.in the past people who been found guilty, security has shown the footage, sign a document, ask to leave the store and told there no longer allowed to work for macy’s. jewelry
My friend who is an employee purchased me a bracelet Macys Herald Square. She used her employee discount. The bracelet was damaged and missing a diamond. I went to echange Macy's in Eatontown and was told that I must return the item that I was not allowed to exchange it even though I had the full receipt as well as the tags still on the jewelry. The manager Vinchenzia was extremely rude and I am very dissatisfied customer. I had to walk away with my issue completely unresolved I asked to speak to the supervisor supervisor and yet no one would come down and talk to me they told me that they I could maybe get a phone call on Monday. Today is Saturday.
I would like to be contacted with someone in Macys corporate immediately [removed]

customer service
I just wanted to pay my sons bill and I had his information, this one representative did not want to take my bill. I knew my son's information.
I did ask her to please let me talk to the supervisor.
I was on hold for 10 minutes, then she did get back on the phone to let me
know the supervisor was on the phone and will be with me in a few minutes.
Then the phone was disconnected instead. I had to call back and this time I did not have a problem paying my sons bill.
Everyone needs to be on the same page. Terrible Customer Service with the first representative. I would think you would want a payment?
staff in washington dc macy's
Horrible experience with the staff. They ignored the elevator alarm ringing when me, my wife and our 17 month old baby were stuck in it for 15 minutes. Staff working in the bags dept outside the elevator turned a deaf ear to it. Luckily a passing by customer heard us banging on the door and helped us out. Security staff working on the same floor also ignored the alarm and instead of apologizing for their mistake advices us to dial 911 if there was an emergency with us. How stupid can they be. Manager does not take responsibility of what happened and instead asks to complain to Macy's head office. Surely these guys dont take their jobs seriously and dont know what customer service actually means.
clothes steamer in touch deluxe
Good morning, I received the steamer as a gift and the steamer stop working and I went to Macy to exchanged it for the same steamer and the manager said that I couldn't exchange it because the steamer I had was on clearance and I couldn't exchange it for the exact same one. I'm having trouble understanding why the steamer couldn't be exchanged for the exact same steamer. I didn't want any money back just a exchange the steamer was purchased at Macy's... Can you please help me thank you.
Warm Regards
