On or about June 21, I stopped and got my daughter a Happy Meal from Mcdonald on Skibo/Morganton in Fayetteville, NC. After driving for a few minutes. I told my child to give me the milk so I can open it. She had already drunk the majority of the milk. I asked how did she open it, she said it was open. I then stopped to check and there was not a seal on the milk at all. I said a prayer over her and waited to see if anything happened. By 1 or 2 am she was vomitting everywhere, consistently. I took her to the doctor, who agree that she had been food poisoned. I contacted Mcdonald and was told the manager was in a meeting and then hung up on. I went to the store. I talked to a supervisor who seemed like the only person to care. She went to get the manager and was sent out with a number to give me. I told her that was not good enough and I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager finally came out and I realized when I pulled up, the manager was standing outside laughing and giggling with a person outside. She didn't want to tell me who the owner was or be helpful. I finally got a phone number out of her to corporate. I proceeded to call corporate and was basically ignored for a two weeks after speaking to Jorge who seem all too concerned. NOT. on July 27th after sending my daughter doctor papers 2 wks prior, I was offered free food for my inconveniences at any McDonalds in North Carolina. What kind of compensation is this? Who's going to compensate me for my daughters pain and suffering, for my doctor visit, for the daycare time that I still had to pay for even though my child was home sick, for the time I took off work due to this situation, and for the rude service from the majority of McDonalds workers. If I had went in that store and was treated like I was someone, then I would have settled for some coupons and reimbursement of doctor bills. McDonald's need to work on their people skills. Have anyone else been food poisoned by mcDonalds and treated like it was nothing?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
You could not go back to complain because you had a bus to catch BUT you say that you are a regular at this place. If you are a regular then stop back another time and let them know that the minimum wage employees made a mistake.
your right i mean people a t mcdonalds are incompotant the almost always get my order wrong and they bicker when i bring it back idiots
My son ate a happy meal cheeseburger got food poisoning mcdonalds is full of dirty immigrants that dnt get paid well and have very little sanitation skills.
My husband and I also got food poisoning from McDonalds. My question is can we do anything about It?
My husband and I also got food poisoning from eating at our local McDonalds. My question is can we do anything about this? I called McDonalds that evening to see if anyone else had called about being sick. The manager told me "no and that it takes up to 24 hours after eating contaminated food till you get sick" which was a LIE! After she told us that we began to wonder if it might have been something else? The next morning I looked up "food poisoning" and knew right then that is what we both had. It was the only thing my husband and I ate in two day's that was the same. I really can't believe she would give us such false information!
Mcdonalds play place is filthy! The last time we were there was about two years ago and seems this long the play place has been cleaned! I'm sure this isn't the only one! Doesn't anyone check on them?
I''ve had pneumonia twice recently and the only thing that has sounded good to me is your vanilla shakes. I can't really afford them as I'm on disability but I buy at least 4 large a week. At least twice a week the last couple months they have either, run out of ice cream, forgot to turn the machine on, or were cleaning it. The store is the one on Fleur Dr, in Des Moines, IA. I called in to complain about this matter thinking for sure II would hear something as I can't imagine the revenue you are losing on those days. However, it's very inconvenient for a faithful customer. What I find more insulting is no one contacting to even say they were sorry for my issues.
Also, when I went in the other day they had the french fry machine out from the wall. The amount of congealed grease on the side of machine and the mess under it was very disturbing to see.
For someone who only receives $15.00 on food stamps a month, I would at least hope you could send some kind of coupon/s for this problem. Please at least show you care a little and respond. Janet Crawford (jcrawf2@aol.com)
I ate a premium grilled chicken sandwich about 8pm last night, nothing else all day. So I have no doubt it was the sandwich. I kind of thought this chicken tastes really blah, kinda different then normal. I thought maybe it was because I had gotten the friend chicken before and all of a sudden it just tasted better then this grilled. So I ate 2/3s of it and gave the rest to my two dogs. I started feeling sick to my stomach around 10pm at the latest and it progressed worse and worse with bloating, passing gas horrible, then then finally diarehha constantly since then. I have fluids going in and I hate to go to the ER or DOCTOR so much I am refusing to go at this point. But then I think I should so at least they have a record of me getting sick and if its chicken it can be salmonella and that is not good. so right now at 830am, 12 hrs later I am a bit confused as to what I should do. I want to sleep so bad but my stomach just keeps swelling up and hurting, and more diarrhea. Folks up top, I believe YOU, and feel for you and with the amount of food, slaphazzard at that which McDonalds gives out of course they are always going to give out food poisoning just like they do. I hate when we eat there but the grandson loves those damn chicken nuggets. RAWRRRRR...but I think now I am putting my foot down. The first sign is that the food is NEVER HOT. Seriously has anyone gotten their food HOT going to McDonalds>? Not me. But when I get a burger from some other local non corporate or franchise joint, I get nice hot and good hamburgers.
I had a quarter pounder burger just on Monday night from a McDonald's in Hatfield, Pretoria, SA. Tuesday morning I woke up with crazy diarrhea and was vomiting. I spent the whole day in bed, luckily my fiance was there to help me. I was too weak to walk, I couldn't eat, was dizzy and my tummy was and still feels funny.
I know I'm never eating there again, I just can't trust them anymore. And I will continue to tell people what a McDonald's burger did to me!
I had a plain double cheeseburger and a large fry at the McDonalds in the Walmart in lynnwood WA and not even an hour later I was so k beyond all reason. Fever sweating stomach cramps vomiting
My wife and I both got food poisoning from eating McDonald's cheeseburgers for dinner in Corona, California(Serfas Club location) . Starting getting sick, both of us had vomiting and diarrhea within hours of eating them. Missed work the next day. Never want to experience that again. They didn't do a damn thing about it either. Just shrugged their shoulders and said oh well like they didn't believe us. Haven't had a McDonald's cheeseburger again. That was 10 years ago.
I got food poisoning after my McDonald's meal in Springfield, VA (on Burke Lake Road) after I ate a triple cheese burger, large fries (with lots of ketchup, and iced tea. Afterward I had diarreah and vomiting - like continuously for two days afterward. I lost a significant amount of water and was sick, weak, had headache/muscle ache.
I agree -- unsanitary, indifferent illegal workers are to blame. I had wanted to give McDonalds my business as it is an American tradition, but the illegals ruin it for everyone with their crappy service, poor language skills, and inability to be santiary and make the food properly. I have never been so sick in my life -- and will never again give McDonalds my business.
Both my daughter and I have food poisoning eating at McDonald's last Thursday from a mcchicken sandwich and my daughter had mcnuggets from the "happy meal". The next morning at 4 am my daughter had vomitted everywhere on the bed, on the floor, in the hallway, & in the bathroom. Her conditon got worsened she started having diaherra every 5 mins. I practically changed over 70 diapers in 4 days. I was sick myself with diaherra but no vomitting. My poor 2 1/2 yrs old daughter got the worst of us two. We were seen my a doctor and the doctor said we possibly have food poisoning "salmonella". I knew right away how we got salmonella food poisoning from those mcnuggets & mcchicken sandwich. I called mcdonald's head office in Canada to file a complaint. The rep took my a report and said the corporate Mgr. will call me back in 3-5 business days. Are you kidding me? My daughter's life and mine is worth so little that we have to wait for a 3-5 business days for a follow up call? I was very digusted and upset with that statement. I told the rep that someone from the corporate better call me back, otherwise it will not end here. I will go above and beyond to get this issue dealt with. Where is the human compassion and professionalism from a multi-million or billions corporate? NON WHATSOEVER! The scary truth is that this greedy corporate is only out for themselves to get richer by feeding their consumers with contaminated, unhealthy, and life threatening fast food. My daughter and I are lucky to be alive. What we are left with is the pain and suffering we went through the past 5 days which will always haunt us. Enough that my family and I will NEVER step foot in the MacDonald restaurant ever again!
I finally received a call back from someone by the name Diane from McDonald head office in Canada. She started off being very apologetic about our terrible food incidents that we recently encountered with from one of the McDonald restaurants last week. Also, stating that McDonald take all unhappy food experiences or food incident cases very seriously. Unfortunately, to her finding that there were no other "salmonella" food poisoning cases being reported at that particular restaurant, therefore she can't do nothing for me. I was shocked by her response. I told Diane we were seen my a walk-in-clinic physician and the doctor has ruled out that what my daughter and I were experiencing was a high possibly of "food poisoning" known as salmonella from the mcnuggets and mcchicken sandwich we ate from McDonald's. She took our stool samples and we are still waiting for the results back. Diane continued to ignore what my concerns were. She said that perhaps what we were experiencing could be a "stomach flu" outbreak that is going around. I reassured Diane that what my daughter and I experienced weren't a stomach flu and the doctor wouldn't have taken our stool samples for testing if she thought we had the "stomach flu". Again, Diane is oblivious to my reasonings and continue to say there's nothing she can do for us as a "corporate" stand point. You got to be joking? Both my daughter's life and mine are 'WORTH' that little to address our "pain and suffering" we went through these past 6 days as not meeting the corporate stand point.? What we are still alive so, therefore our case aren't that important and get toss aside like the rest of other food poisoning cases that numerous unhappy consumers encountered and reported national wide? What does it take to have this senseless, uncompassionate, and unprofessional billionaire corporate to WAKE UP and take some accountabilities, responsibilities, and actions for their contaminated, mishandled food? How many more complaints, unhappy consumers, and possibly deaths to have "McDonald" corporate to do something about it? PLEASE WHOEVER IS READING my consumeraffairs blog, spread this message all around as far as it can go, to put a STOP to food poisoning from McDonald. Help saves our poor and vulnerable children, grandparents, dads, moms, aunts, businessmen, employees etc who go to these thousands of Mcdonald restaurants out there everywhere from consuming their "life threatening" fast food. If McDonald failed to stand behind their consumers and do the 'RIGHT THING, then at least we all can step up and do something for all mankind. JOIN ME to raise awareness globally to PUT A STOP to all contaminated food from McDonald Corporation. BRING AWARENESS = SAVE LIVES!
Wow reading all of this makes me upset and fustrated. My 5 yr. Old ate the nuggets at McDonald's and got samonella poisoning and spent 3 days in the ER. He just got home and now I'm wondering who I should complain to but with reading everything above it may not even be worth it. I will still complain to the resturant, corporate, FDA/ BBB but don't expect anything to happen now. My best bet is to tell as many people as I can to not eat there after what happened to him. I wish the best for everyone that went through this sick or helping the sick. GOD BLESS.
In the late 1970s, my family and I ate our meal from an Oakville, ON McDonald's. We had errands to take care of, and we agreed to eat out before I headed out to Brownies that night. Well, about six to eight hour later, I woke up with a nasty stomach ache, and before long I threw up.
I wasn't the only person in the house with that. problem. Both my parents were sick, my brother had diarrhea, and even my then-two year old sister was sick. We all stayed home from work or school for the rest of the week, but we were particularly concerned about the baby. Food poisoning is potentially deadly to very young kids and old people, and that innocent looking McDonald's cheeseburger could have killed her.
I still eat at McDonald's once a month, but prefer to buy my food at Carl's Jr, Big Smoke, Hero and other quasi-fast food places. Still, I prefer to make my own food. At least, I know what's in it.
One counter person addresses customers as "Hon'', ''Sweetie'', ''Darling''. I regard this as condescending and insulting. My opinion is that she should be warned against it and fired if she continue.
So about two months ago, my partner, two daughters (aged 1 and 2) and myself went to mcdonalds and had chicken mcnuggets, fries and strawberry milkshake. My 1 year old didnt have the milkshake. Few hours later me, my partner and 2 year old had vomitting, diarrhoea and general signs of food poisoning. I was forced to lose a days wages because i had to take a day off work. We had these symptoms for 48 hours. I emailed customer services and they sent £10 mcdonald vouchers! I emailed back saying i was disgusted as we had food poisoning from eating at mcdonalds. I received a reply today from emma mccracken (assistant customer services manager) justifying what happened and refusing to accept any responsibility. Apparently making a small child ill is ok with her. Anyone else had similar symptoms after eating at mcdonalds? She's almost accusing me of making it up!
I bought McDonald's for my kids & I last night. My daughter had a McDouble, a medium fry, a Coke & a M&M McFlurry. At 12 midnight, she vomited in her room, ran to the toilet, had diarrhea, vomited some more & more diarrhea. Along with a headache, a sore throat, nausea, abdominal pain & loss of appetite. All day today I've been wondering what can it be! Then I thought about her last meal & her symptoms. I Googled 'food poisoning' and 'McDonald's' and wallah, I'm here! Should I take my daughter to the ER? She's 13 yrs old.
I just had a quick reminder that I wanted to voice. Today, I went to McDonald's for my lunch break and I got the Chicken McNuggets. Of course I asked for some Sweet and Sour sauce, and the rude guy gave me one. So I asked him for another one, and told me to wait, and then after he was done doing what he was doing told me that extra sauce costs $.10. Unbelievable that the largest fast food company in the world charges extra for some sauce, or maybe it was just the one jerk. Other places won't hesitate to give you 3 or 4 extra sauces. Oh yeah, and he looked un-educated just like 80% of the people working at McDonalds in the customer service line.
i agree with the paying for the dip .. mcdonalds is a big company and should offer free sauses... but i do not agree on the comment of 80% of the staff are uneducated.. that comment is untrue and uncalled for... just becasue they work at mcdonalds does not give you the right to abuse them,, the person who u delt with is just doing his job ok... but yes maybe he shouldnt of been so mean ok ...
After church I stop to get a sandwich to take home and the girl at the regester can't speak english.
Every single mcdonalds policy that I've known of it is REQUIRED to charge for sauce. A lot of the employees don't oblige to this rule, others do. Get over it
Terrible customer service, they never get an order correct. I go to the drive thru at least once a week, I order two large hot tea's, I explain to the representative taking my order (repeating it twice) how I want them, tea bags, creams and suger on the side. Not once have they ever got the order correct. They put the tea bag in and sometimes the creamer and suger at the same time, they say they try and help the customer out so they don't have to do it. Well any person with any common sence knows that you do not make a cup of tea putting the bag, creamers and suger in at the same time. Today, as I got to the window the representative had a hot tea with the bag in it and and ice tea ready for me. I explained for the third time what I wanted, they were not happy with me and told me to pull forward and wait for my hot waters. Five minutes later I went in to get them, so for two hot waters it took over fifteen minutes, at a drive thru. They have also gotten my sons order of as double hamburger plain, wrong 4 out of 5 times. As sad as it seems I now wait at the window when I get the order and go through every burger to make sure it was prepared how I wanted it. I've also had the same issues with the McDonals in Highland MI.
This happened at the store in Knob Noster, Missouri. I went in the yesterday they were not busy but it took 15 minutes to get big mac value meal, I asked for no onions and it seemed like I got extra onions. I took it up to the counter and told the chasier who treated me like an inconvienence, I asked to talk to the manager the cashier rooled her eyes at me and said " I will see if she wants to talk to to you." I waited another 5 minutes before the manager came to the counter and it turns out the manager was the one who I saw playing near the grill for the five minutes I was waiting. I bekive the managers name was Kristen or at least thats what her name tag said. I told kristen the problem and I was treated like a child and told that I has already taken a bite out of it so they cant replace it, I also told her of the wait in an empty store and thats when she started to walk away, I asked for corporates office number and was told to leave before she called the police.
I will never visit that store again I would rather go hungry.
I wouldn't either! If you look at the side of your drink cups or the bag that your food was put in or even any of the containers that you're given to hold your food there will be a number on there that you can call and report things like this. You should not have been treated like that, it's unprofessional. For a few other tips on how to get your food at McDonald's really quickly, check out this link:

I've been working at McDonald's for about ten months and I have never seen a manager treat a customer that way. If someone did something like that in my store, he or she would be fired on the spot.
It makes me laugh that people order big macs without onions, when clearly big mac sauce has onions on it, and people come in an complain about it. And you need to consider the drive thru, where about 90% of the people go to get their food. Just because the store is empty doesn't mean the drive thru is.
Employees on RT 50 near the Bay Bridge do not understand English to get orders from. The sandwiches were warm and the fries were cold. Not good eating for someone with stomach problems.
Rt 648 and Mountain RD, they never have milkshakes for the shake machine is broken. Doesn't anyone report these issues when they cause a problem? Well we are. Help!
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warren Sr.
You do not need to go there - that is why this country is great - you have choices! What you may find horrible, others may find very enjoyable. Go somewhere else and complain.
on 04/10/2012 at about 8:30pm, I went into Mc. Donald to purchase a sundae with hot fudge and asked the girl behind to counter to split the ice cream in two since my kids don't normally eat the entire thing. she began to laugh historically, I said to her that I always get it. She told the store manager and he came up giving the the Sundae in one cup with the hot fudge at the bottom. i said to him that i want it split in two and he said that, that is how we split it. To prevent arguing, I asked it I can have an additional cup, he said no problem but you will have to pay an additional $0.53. I really can't imagine how this company ripping off customers. If this ice cream cost $0.99. let do the maths. $0.99 minus $0.53 equal $0.46. I wonder what is in the Ice cream. the cup is much more expensive that the actual ice cream. what is this company doing to the poor working class people? I know this may sound cheap but not everyone can afford to provide their children with recreational food.
I am laughing historically as well.
Visit Mcdonald's on Mansfield on [protected] about 10:30 after coming from the hosp. with my daughter that had the flu and a fever...the lady in the drive-thru don't wont to give me my soda ..buy 6 burgers, 6 drinks, fries ...my son pull two long black hairs out of his burgers...I called the mcdonald's the burgers was purchase from talked to the manger told her what my son pulled out from the burgers .She stated she was sorry for the hair and said"she'll look into it and they'll workers were hairnets "but i know they don't wear them ..i used to work at Mcdonald's and we never ever had to put them on...just a hat...
customers are not always right
dont make a fool of yourself buy complaining small problems like this, dislike it, simply dont go.
I prefer McDonalds over Burger King but I'm tired of not only the workers but also the MANAGERS. They can't get your order right at all. Then they try to make it out to be your fault - the last time I knew the customer is always right no matter what. I went to McDonalds on Sunday and ordered 2 Big Mac Meals and when I got to the window I got 2 Chicken Nugget Happy Meals. I want to know how you get Happy Meals out of Big Mac Meals. This isn't the first time this has happened. I am to the point to go to Burger King . I am very disappointed in McDonalds lately. And its ashame because I think you have better food than Burger King. I hope you can correct this.
You make me laugh...security guards in a mcdonalds...Come on...seriously they don't police the customers unless they get violent...maybe you have said something to the mother of the child instead of blaming Mcdonalds lack of security
I think McDonalds needs more security in their Kiddie area, the human kind, because today I took my 18 mth daughter to play and eat there, and some little boy her age or younger came up to her and started punching her in the face. She now has a big bruise on her cheek. And the mother of this child was sitting right behind us watch and not doing a thing. Now I know the boy was young but his mother should have done something. I think that Mcdonalds should better take care of these matters through security guards in the play room keeping track of the kids and the parents. Since some parents don't know how to teach their kids right from wrong. Needless to say My daughter will never eat or go their again.
in our area few dengu pationt so please send muscito sprayer or fumer

On 20 May 11, I went to Lunch the drive thru, and order a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and took it back to work, when I got to work it was only a half of grilled chicken, I called to complaint and they said bring back, I hadn't ate all day and it about 5 or 6 miles away by me driving back it will cost me the sandwich in Gas since it is $ 4.00 a gallon, what should have been done was we will give u a free sandwich or a complimenary meal or something, they act as it was a big deal, I'm at work and unable to leave, I don't get 2 lunch period a day, it should have been right in the begining. I work at Ft Pickett where we give them alot of business, I told the Manager that I would just stop doing business there, its not the $ it is the principle and the way you do business. I'm very upset, this is the first I been treat unfair. Something needs to be done, because I want go back to that McD, if this isnt resolve. My phone # is [protected]. I have the reciept, but the printer need to be change it not 100% clear. I been working at Ft Pickett for over 12 years and never been treated with this kind of Customer Service. I'm very disappoint, had a issue before at Wendy they gave me complimentary meal, with no issue or bad customer service. Waiting for respond or I will chg my lunch location. Thanks for your time.
